Excellent view of the skyline from the Patio, good rooms and great.location.
Spacious and clean room, friendly and helpful staff.
However, there's a major con: there's a nightclub on top of the building which is super loud Saturday night till 2AM. If you are a light sleeper, think twice before booking through weekends.
We just went up to the bar at the top of the hotel. The bar itself was very nice but there were 0 seats available and no seats at the bar. The view was nice but the outside was closed to due to cold weather. Also, the drinks were very overpriced.
Restaurant is awesome, I've never had a better breakfast at a hotel. Roof top bar is great and has an awesome vibe! Room has a great view, although our room looked over another bar that plays loud music until about 11:15pm. All hotel staff are very friendly and very helpful. I will definitely look for more Kimpton hotels and will hopefully stay here again!
Should ve just stayed home
Booked a one night stay at this hotel due to the location, the ratings, and for a mini staycation for my girlfriend. So many missed marks at this hotel, that if it wasn t for the heavy traffic and the hour it took us to find parking, we would ve just turned around and went home. Hotel front desk was consistently rude and dismissive. Upon check-in, the front desk agent did not greet us or look up once the entire time until he took my ID and credit card and fed it into the chip reader. Not until I had asked him what exactly what he was charging me for, that he finally looked up and ran through a spiel about a safety deposit and fee for hotel facilities which included WiFi, $10 credit for in room dining and on site restaurant, and printing up to a certain amount of pages. He went on quickly about getting to their rooftop bar and the hours of their bar and restaurant, without even stopping to take a breath. We could barely get a question in. We requested a higher floor and paid for a studio with a view but was given one on the 9th floor. The room was nice and clean with a decent view, despite the dirty windows and construction across the street which woke us up bright and early. They had an in-room minibar complete with drinks and snacks. I took a bag of gummy bears which totaled up to 9$, which I figured could be handled with the dining credit. Spoiler; it does not. No water or ice machines on the floor, so you re better off buying it from the convenience stores on the corner. The morning after, we realized we forgot toothbrushes. Made a call to front desk, and didn t get them until 20mins later. Causing us to almost miss check-out time. When we finally made it to front desk, the first agent I approached only responded with a no eye-contact (seems to be an ongoing theme here) and brisk, I m setting up. The desk agent at the end of the front desk called over and said I can assist you. Asked me for our room number even though I had already passed her the room key. She quickly printed out and handed me a receipt, without any explanations of the charges or any question of the quality of our stay. I was honestly so fed up and did not have the energy to argue. At this point I just wanted to get the hell out of Dodge.
Stayed here for the marathon. Great location, beautiful huge room. There are a lot of great things about the hotel, and a lot frustrations. For the most part, the hotel has tried to resolve our concerns.
The best hotel I ve ever stayed in. The friendliest staff and the BEST fruit salad.
Beautiful hotel, very friendly staff and pleasant location. (15min walk from Times square) and not to mention the hotel has a beautiful roof terrace!
I will go back. Nice rooms, lobby and bar area. The roof top bar is nice but WAY OVERPRICED. $12 for a tonic water!
This is my favorite hidden place in NYC, best place to get a drink with the most incredible view of manhattan from manhattan.
Beautiful spacious bedrooms with excellent bedding.
When I have spent a three day trip in NY early November 09 I flew in JFK very early in the morning and my plan was to jump on to circle line boots tour at 10.00 to have a NY must-do; the Circle line tour.
Ultimately I was happy to get my key card about 1.00 pm two hours earlier than standard. For sure, the rooms are big, very big for NY (I had a superior w/ City view directly to Time Square).
The bathroom alone is the size of my former Bed Room in the Milford Plaza. Though, it is a 10 mins walk in a very safe neigherhood to the Milford Plaza which is very close to Times Square.
On my way to Times Square I have stopped to a small Italien Bakery every time to have delicious Italien bred and dolci.
This Bakery is only 2 mins from Ink48. I was very much suprised when I came back to the Hotel on Friday afternoon at 4.35 pm as there was no room service at that time.
Unfortunately, house keeping jumped in after a 10sec. waiting time when I was taking a shower about 5.pm. That does not work. I do not expect a totaly cleaned up room every day but what I like is a fresh made bed when you come back after an exhausting NY shopping/sightseeing day. But what I am telling you.
Next day Housekeeping came at 9. am when I was having....a shower (again) - I told you big, very big nice w/ sand brickwork shower.
Still, this is my only complaint and I am telling you because I have liked the Hotel Managers reaction on it. When Rachel asked what she can do I have asked for a very late check out at 6. pm the day I leave and it was no problem for her. OK.
All in all. I can recommend for a reasonable price.
When I stay in SF I usually also take the Kimpton with the red brick wall in the harbour and this a reasonable priced. So I believe they will have the right pricing policy when the special opening bargains stop.
Reasonable would be from my point of view and taking the distance to the hot spots into consideration aprox. 500$ max. I can not say anything to the Hotels amenities as I have spent most of the time when being in the Hotel....taking a shower :)
Visited Print Restaurant. Food was lovely, although service was very slow. Waited 20 after arriving to even order drinks. The Press Lounge was amazing. The view was spectacular, the service great and the atmosphere was lovely.
This is a great hotel. The staff are all very friendly and courteous. They helped us plan our walking tour by giving some solid recommendations. The room was clean and comforting, with great pillows. They even had a texting concierge in case we needed anything. Would 100% stay here again.
Amazing rooftop bar of the NY skyline and the Empire State Building. Spacious lounge and great service
Service is great in the front desk and housekeeping. But the hotel don t have parking to park your car, please guys don t come to New York is just a movie place. but the city is dirty. No places to seat.people are rude. Don t bring your money to New York. Go to Miami Florida, San Diego California. Or get a vacation In the Caribe for the money you spent in New York you can pay for a trip to Cancun Mexico or any way in the caribe.the mayor of the city don t care about this city so sad cause is a beautiful city but dirty. I was walking with my wife and kids and people trying to sell me drugs and every corner. I feel sorry for the cops cause they are great people every time That I need help. They show respect and kindness. Sorry they have to deal with people and the person in charge from this city. Hopefully New York one day become a city to visit with your family and go back to your place telling great story s.
An amazing experience from the moment we walked in. The Press lounge was beautiful and spectacular. The Print restaurant is one of the best restaurants we've eaten in. Our waiter Patrick was absolutely lovely, engaging and attentive. The restaurant manager was equally as lovely, she made us feel very special and got us a table right away even though they were booked solid...thank you to everyone for making or evening fantastic. We will be back soon.... Kenneth and Mark
Tried to go to Press Lounge for drinks but they were closed for a private party. Still love the vibe, view, and drinks here though. Highly recommend it.
My stay here so far has been enjoyable. The room has an excellent view of the river, and is clean and large. The bed is probably the most comfortable thing I've ever slept in! Breakfast at the Print restaurant is very good but expensive. The hotel is in easy walking distance of Times Square and the Intrepid Air and Space museum as well as the piers for boat tours. The staff have been polite enough although we have had a few mix-ups with the front desk with regards to the booking.
Views on 13th floor, but unobstructed and slick. Not 360, but pretty close (missing SW corner along Hudson). Door staff and bartenders were surprisingly friendlier than I'd expect for a euro-style rooftop, so that earns a star. But drink costs, ugh... $14 for regular beer, $21+ for cocktails. Higher than most other roofs, and that cancels out an earned star alone. Advice: Arrive before 10p on Friday and you'll have zen. After, you'll have stress.
I like kimptons anbd the us one is good took so I liked it. I so No ahgg Manny but thi s one enjoyed both and pleased me to have joking the kimptons.
Beautiful and clean hotel. The restaurant is top notch farm to table cuisine! Don't miss the rooftop.
The roof was definitely the best view of the city. Absolutely breathtaking!
I didn't stay overnight but went to visit a friend and I did enjoy the experience
Service at Ink48 is superb and always exceeds my expectations. The rooftop bar has the best view and a happening scene
The night time view is amazing! Extremely comfortable atmosphere! Great location to relax and enjoy.
Location is good. Plenty of options for food within a short walk. Be sure to get a room as high up as you can for the views.
Stayed here for five nights in a Hudson River suite. The room was huge and well appointed. The staff were fantastic, and the night clerk who checked us in and out took great care of us. Sadly, great 1am front desk service can be hard to come by at even upscale NYC hotels, but the Ink48 was very good.
On a cold windy morning the walk to the CE subway can feel a bit long, but in truth it wasn't bad after a couple of trips to get used to the walk. The area is very quiet at night, and we slept really well. Not far to Hell's Kitchen restaurants. Good for the NYC traveler who wants a nice hotel but doesn't mind a little walking.
The bartenders were awesome went after hours for drinks with coworkers
Went to Essential phone event at the Press Lounge. Staff was very attentive, lounge is very nice with wonderful view.
The management of the rooftop should explain to their waitresses and managers that in this post Covid momentum you shouldn t ask to guests to leave their reserved table because the bar took too many reservations, especially when a table is having drinks and food...we understand you have less capacity but we were celebrating an important occasion and we didn t even get the chance to toast.
This hotel has the best customer service ivr ever seen.
Only real problem I have is it's so far away from everything but great otherwise
This my first night, I m a big fan of Kimpton s. This kimpton INK48 is beautiful, spacious, and luxury. Highly recommend!!!
The atmosphere is beautiful Especially if you love the New York City skyline .However the drink are kind of expensive so a you want to pre- game before you get here that would be a good idea.
The views and customer service was great. I wish the outside had heaters.
We didn't stay at the hotel but had dinner at print and after dinner drinks at the press lounge. Everything was absolutely amazing. We will definitely be back.
Beautiful roof deck with sweeping city views and a full bar enosed in glass. Worth it!
Nice room on the 9th floor. Comfy beds, big bathroom. You got to pay for all beverages in the room,no biggie.. It's NYC! Didn't have a car so not sure about parking situation. Do stop at rooftop lounge for amazing NYC view... separate elevator in the hotel. Good stay!
Nice and welcoming staff. The roof top lounge has a great view of both uptown and downtown. Clean rooms.
A large, spacious room by NYC standards. Clean and quiet, and it has some great views. It is in a great location, near a nice restuarant area of you go to 9th Avenue and 50th street. Reasonably close to the subway, and not too far from tourist destinations like time square. My only complaint about the room is the lack of a writing desk. There is plenty of a room for one, and as a business traveler a work space is vital.
Not close to stores but very clean and friensly service
Service is always good. Rooms are very clean. Nice to have the restaurant and bar that is consistent with good food and drinks. Good start after a long flight
This review pertains to the restaurant only. Good drinks. Good service. Good decor. Food was fantastic.
Wow, what a term. This place was a gem but now they monetize their roof so guests can't enjoy and now you can't sleep past 7 am.
I only came by here during the MoCCA Arts Festival, but the place did look nice and cozy from first glance. However, I cannot give a full review due to not staying there for no longer than half a day and only for the panels.
Very welcoming service upon arriving at the hotel by the Bell staff. Courteous reception staff willing to answer any questions. Interesting decor in the elevators (cool sisal mat walls). Neatly designed rooms, well kept, and complete with a comfy bed and roomy tile shower with glass doors. Fantastic dinner at Print, I had the pork chop. Ridiculously good. Breakfast was great, I had the seasonal omelet and I loved it. It's located in a transitional neighborhood full of car dealerships but not unsafe. It'll be seated perfectly in a few years as Hell's Kitchen's great progress moves further north and meets the UWS.
We stayed at this room for one night. It was beautiful, clean, bathroom is so modern and the shower was my favorite. The whole room has a clean, modern, sleek feel to it which I love. The view in the bathroom was also amazing. The black out curtains in white are perfect if you want to sleep in without the light coming in. We stayed on the 15th floor and we were greeted by a very friendly man who gave us suggestions for food. The AC work great so the temp in the room is perfect. I would def stay here again.
Love the room , love the food from the restaurant and also the breakfast! Could really recommend this place for people looking for a weekend in NY!
We came to go to the rooftop bar. Arrived at 11 and were informed there was a private party until 11:30. No big deal. Then, we go to the lobby bar and that bartender tells us the rooftop will not be opening to the public at all. Now we're confused. I go back over to the elevator attendant and he says "I don't know where she got that information, they extended until 12 but we will be open after that." Long story short, we never made it up to the rooftop because they kept pushing back the time. Very unprofessional, rude, and inconvenient. I recommend calling before showing up.
We had a great weekend at Kimpton Ink48. The rooms were nice, clean, and we all had amazing views. We attended a wedding on the 16th floor The Press Lounge. It was beautiful. Thank you for such a great weekend! We hope to come back again soon!
1st time staying at kimpton... What a great surprise.. Most polite and pleasent crew.. supper helpfull... Free quality cofee in the morning.. 5 pm free wine hour... Clean rooms...My faivorite hotel chain to stat from now on
Stayed here in 2010 and was so impressed with the service, hotel decor and overall experience. Was given a free upgrade to a city view suite for my husbands birthday with champagne. Such a lovely gesture. Highly recommend this hotel
Great concierge and wine hour. Perfect location and great views.
Nabokov once wrote that there is no place louder than an American hotel. How right he was.
There is construction going on across the street that will have you vertical in your bed at 7am sharp. Several rooms down the hall you still hear the elevator doors open at night.
And so many more problems. Room wasn t ready at check in time, made me wait for an hour and a half. At least they offered a few bucks in return (upon request).
Clueless staff. Way too expensive for what you re getting. Before people say but that s New York . No. Offer a good product if you want my money.
You get the idea. Won t come back here ever.
The interview left me with a nasty taste but, the property seemed nice. Hey, Latonia you left an impression Ms. Garrett
Did not stay but did appreciate the super friendly staff at Print Restaurant and The Press Lounge rooftop bar. Also, lobby was clean, busy and full of good energy. Looks like the hotel has bikes that guests can use. Pretty cool. I would stay here.
Really amazing views of the city! Drink prices are pretty high.. but the views are worth it.
This review would be one star if it was not for management being so understanding. This hotel has a night club across the street that did not stop till 5am and the uber's and screaming of people went on till 6am. No sleep at all at this hotel. I was on 7th floor and almost lost my mind on how loud it was. Do not stay here.
All staff was accommodating beyond expectation. Always ready to help with a smile. We found ourselves preferring our own hotel rooftop with 360degree views, servers, cleanliness, and compared to other rooftops we visited, higher quality!! * See if you can find my photo locations and send me the match! *
Went to the rooftop bar to celebrate 3 birthdays including my own. The roof top was very nice had amazing views of the city. The atmosphere was very relaxing. The use of technology to help speed up the drink ordering process was very nice as well
This is such a nice hotel. When we stayed here a couple years ago for a staycation we loved this place. The staff was great, they took great care of us and the dogs (with a special mention on the sign by the entrance!) and they have a great rooftop bar with amazing views. Good location, too.
