Great location. Room was clean and large, and we got a free upgrade. They have a lobby bar and a swanky penthouse club. I would definitely stay there again.

There were plenty of rooms on a Sunday night, so why resist offering a "walk in" the same rate as found on hotel discount sites? And then, an additional $39 for a request for two beds. The room was spacious. The door didn't close properly. Very chic environment. Absolutely beautiful roof top lounge. But the whole "velvet rope" mentality is off putting.
I stayed at The Kimpton Ink48 Hotel in New York City for a corporate event at The Press Lounge, an upscale bar on the rooftop of the hotel.
Everything that involved the hotel and staff was positive! From the reservation process, to contacting the concierge to prepay guest accommodations, checking in/checking out and then following up for invoices, the staff exceeded my expectations for great service.
I arrived at nighttime after a long day at work and traveling. It was cold outside, so I noticed and appreciated the welcoming warmth when I entered my room. Soft, ambient lighting emphasized the breathtaking view of Manhattan from floor to ceiling oversized windows. I didn't even explore the rest of the room for a full 10 minutes because I was mesmerized by the view of Manhattan at night.
Eventually, I pulled myself away to check out the bathroom. I am very critical of hotel bathrooms, because if it isn't sparkling clean, then the rest of the hotel probably isn't either. It had clean, modern fixtures, with elements of gleaming chrome, porcelain and stone. The bathtub was magnificent: extra long, extra deep with a beautiful fountain faucet! There was a separate shower with a towering ceiling that helped to make it feel more spacious than it was. The dual shower heads, rainwater and massaging, made for a shower you didn't want to leave.
The bed was comfortable, and positioned so you could see the Manhattan skyline while drifting off to sleep. I left the blinds wide open so I could enjoy the view, which I don't think I have ever done in any other hotel before. I awoke the next morning to a bright blue sky and the gleaming Manhattan skyline. This is a unique experience, and one to add to your list, if you have never been to New York City.
The room has a fully stocked mini bar, and meals from room service are available from Print Restaurant, in the hotel, but I wanted the restaurant experience, so I ate there, instead of dining alone in my room.
Print Restaurant is an award winning farm to table, sustainable food venue that lives up to the hype. The service was excellent, the food delectable and the ambiance warm and intimate. My dinner choice consisted of 3 small plates: a delicate salad, pork belly and tuna carpaccio.
I need to review the food separately, so will simply say it was a magnificent dinner that I enjoyed tremendously! I did find myself missing my other half because this was an experience to be shared with someone you love.
If given the opportunity, you should stay at The Kimpton Ink48 and enjoy everything they offer: excellent accommodations, classy rooftop lounge, amazing dining, spectacular views, and a memorable experience, all under one roof.
We drove to NY, so the hotel car valet service was a bit confusing. Stephen at the front desk was very helpful. He was happy to give us an upgrade when we asked for it. Overall, the hotel was very clean and spacious. It was everything we expected. The only downside to the Ink48 hotel is its location in Manhattan. Hell's Kitchen is a little ways away from the popular attractions. We may look at other hotels next time we visit NYC for this reason.
I attended a game demo at the Kimpton penthouse and enjoyed the views and spacious.
A complete fiasco!!! A supposed Four star Hotel that there is zero chance of sleeping at ! Roof top parties with blazing loud concert like volume going all night long till 3 am and beyond. Ear plugs have no chance against rooftop DJ's and screaming 21 year olds. Sleeping is not on the agenda at this place. Youve been warned.
$300+ bucks to stare at the ceiling all all long and you can never fall
asleep until after 4am..
Stay anywhere but here
Exceptional hotel
We had the opportunity to stay there during our honeymoon
Perfect cleanliness, double sinks with bathtub and shower, overlooking breathtaking Manhattan, extra breakfast, entrance and reception arranged with great taste, attentive staff.
I highly recommend
Clean, modern room with comfortable bed. Nice amenities and they were accommodating of my early check in request.
I love all Kempton properties and this is no exception. They have stellar service and great rooms. The only negative is that the showers puddle since they aren't flat which shows how awesome the hotel is if that's all I can complain about. They also have a very nice lounge.
The room itself was very nice, very open, light, and airy. I booked the room for the incredible view that it is supposed to have, however it has scaffolding blocking the view from every window.. I understand about the need to renovate, however the hotel had six weeks to tell me about this situation and never did. Not even at check in. They did give me a rather sizable discount, but it didn't fix the view.
Also everything is incredibly over priced. Two cappuccinos and two mini muffins cost me $45. A club sandwich costs $28.
I experienced several other little snafus during the two nights i stayed.
Beautiful Hotel but the service is a joke.
Big rooms, excellent attention to detail. Front desk very helpful
Great boutique hotel, friendly staff, nice rooms, nice rooftop bar
The room is great, big, great tub, nice bathrobes and even a yoga mat. Stuff is friendly and efficient. However... constructions starts at 7 am, just across the street, as in heavy hummers and heavy machinery. You cannot escape the noise, no sleep or rest. If I knew it I would skip the place.
Fun rooftop ambience and great views of the city highly recommend it
Great ambience. Artistic and accessible. Attend panels in Garamond and Helvetica conference rooms.
Everyone was so kind, from check-in and the spa experience to the bar and restaurant. Love the interior design of the whole hotel and how spacious and comfortable the rooms are. I truly love the way Kimpton does hotels!
Want to get lively? Head to the rooftop. Want to relax? Head to the second floor spa. One of my favorite boutique hotels.
Stayed at the King Studio in August.
The city view was amazing from the large windows, the roof top bar was pricey but had a great panoramic view. You will hear an occasional honk or siren at night - but the sound was not an issue for me.
The room was newly renovated and spacious. The bed was so comfortable and lastly, the staff was very kind and thoughtful. I just wish breakfast was included but the beautiful hotel and close restaurants made up for it.
Im writing this post using $14 WiFi, hence four stars... Go to rooftop bar and all is forgiven
I only went to a breakfast meeting. It was fine but awful food.
I visited the press lounge for a get together with some friends. The drinks were on the pricey side, but on par for the area. The cocktails were delicious though!
This hotel was the crash pad for our bachelorette for a friend. We managed to stay in a double deluxe. We had 5 girls. We made it work by spooning lol. Either way, the room is large and spacious with plenty of storage. There is no chase to sleep on in the room we stayed in 414 . However there was a chair to relax on , and one of the girls was tempted to sleep on that instead of being in the middle. If you bring a twin air mattress, you can inflate it in the room or possibly even get a rollaway? The views that they are notorious for is truly known for is absolutely true. The lounge is a fun chill spot , but not a club scene by any means. It is also located in a convenient area . Great for in and out access of lincoln tunnel. Valet parking is quite a bit of money but well worth the 50 or whatever it was . They will kindly take your car and will have it ready for departure when you call them 30-45 minutes ahead. You can not take your car in and out though, unless you want to pay double. The whole experience here was phenomenal. The staff is so courteous and kind. The concierge helped made sure we had a wonderful time for our bride to be and house keeping was so helpful and super fast for deliveries. We will definitely be staying here again when we need to stay in Manhattan! Thank you for the wonderful time!
WICKED WICKED COOL PLACE !!! I would stay here every time we come to NYC for a cruise or weekend....
Pretty standard hotel, nothing too fancy. Nicely sized rooms, bit larger thwn most NYC hotel rooms. Views from hotel ok but not great. Note there is a very loud club across the street from hotel Friday/Saturday it gets very loud, even on the 11th floor. Traffic from 11th avenue also loud. Slightly off the beating path location being so far west, okay if you have business near by but if you're touring the city it's not an ideal location.
My stay at Kimpton Ink48 was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! Location was perfect, away from the bustle of Times square but still close enough that I could walk there. I had a city view, but other skyscrapers and the weather didn t really allow me to enjoy it. Next time I ll book a room facing the Hudson and will ask for a room on a higher floor. Also, noise level in hotel and throughout was just fine, no complaint there.<br/>Bathroom:<br/>Very spacious bathroom with enough room for two people for use without being on top of each other. The corner rainfall shower was a bit of a pain for lack of available space to move around and not enough shelf space to put your shower toiletries (literally had only the soap bar shelf available). The soaking tub was idyllic, especially to help relax your muscles after the 10+ hours of walking the streets of NYC. Anthony at the front desk was kind enough to give me some aroma bath salts complimentary to make use of the tub that much better. Only Con of the bathroom was the water pressure in the soaking tub was incredibly slow, taking almost 45 minutes just to fill. Upon leaving hotel, one of the mangers asked how my stay was, after expressing my critic she advised me to call the front desk next time, as they would've happily gotten fixed for me so no biggie there. Also, perhaps offer some bubble bath soap to the rooms w/ soaking tub, and maybe having a lighting option just for when you want to use the soaking tub instead of having to have all of the bright lights on, just a thought.<br/>Bedroom:<br/>My bed was AMAZINGLY comfortable, I slept better than I had in months. The makeup vanity nook w/ seating was perfect, giving me enough space to set up all of my makeup for the day ahead. The A/C was exceptional, genuinely surprised at how powerful it was, keeping me cool throughout the night for a good nights rest. Enough charging docks to keep all of my electronics up and running. The extra seating space was convenient for when I had work to do or simply a hang spot instead of the bed. Overall, enough space to move around and store all of my luggage and clothes without the room feeling cluttered. Additional recommendation, garment steamer would be awesome, the iron and table are just too much of a hassle. Rather have a quick easy fix to wrinkly clothes than wasting valuable NYC time ironing. <br/>Staff: 5/5! Personally the staff made the whole stay perfect. Any questions or request were answered and fulfilled with the upmost professionalism, courtesy and in a timely fashion.<br/>Overall, my stay and room was everything I expected it to be and MORE! I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting NYC.
Nice hotel other than the night club next door. The club itself isn't a problem, it's the drunk patrons coming and going, yelling at the top of their lungs. Hotel staff is very nice and accommodating. They texted me several times to ensure I was having a good stay.
So many beautiful details, rooftop bar is exquisite to say the least.
Visited the roof top bar for a friend's birthday, had a glass of champagne and enjoyed the beautiful roof top view. I'd definitely recommend the roof top, it's a unique vantage point.
The room was very clean, comfortable, and spacious! Service was great, location for attending a show at terminal 5 was very convenient.
The view is ecstatic! Would have been better if it wasn't so cold~ would like more lounging area and extensive food menu.
The view is spectacular and one of the best in the city. I would recommend drinking beforehand as the drinks are quite pricey
Not children friendly at all. I am 16 so considered a minor which is fine. However we went up to the bar and bought drinks but as soon at it got to 5pm, a member of staff came and told me to leave. This made me feel so small and not welcome. The room had a beautiful view but there was noise until 3am on night from the restaurant opposite.
Incredible room's impeccable service and always a pleasure!
Location is a little far from the subway but the building is beautiful. The print which is a restaurant located in the hotel provides amazing food and great service!!
Beautiful luxurious rooms a walkable distance to Broadway. A perfect getaway.
Stayed during the pandemic, room was a little small. The attached restaurant was closed, take out only. The location was convenient for my plans. I wouldn't stay here again because they took over 3 weeks to return my security deposit. The only reason they probably returned it is because I called 5 times, I was also hung on multiple times, very unprofessional. Don't hang up on people, just address your issues like a common sense, level headed professional would do.
I know there is places for different taste, I m living in Miami, came to spend weekend in NYC, and leave the city with a bad taste... since arrived the front desk wasn t kind at all, the room was under my friend s name so when I ask for the reservation they didn t try to find out who can help, then, I use the bath, and they didn t clean it, few water stay there, someone come to clean the room, and the water still there... after that, we didn t have the chance to use the roof because it was rent for a private event...when finally we can come up, I forget my I d, have to come back to the room to get it, go to the elevator again, and 2 guest were coming up without I d, they were join for someone who works at the hotel, and the person say, they don t have I d, but don t ask anyways, bacayse they are friends... we did a reservation for dinner, but when show up, we didn t have any, so they put us in a table for 8 people cause we didn t have table, they offered a Prosecco because our table wasn t ready, and at the end, we have a coffee, which was charging 2 times more that they charge the night before...At the end, my friend feels bad, because I talk about it, and when we came back to the room our dinner wasn t in the way we expected... definitely not coming back here.
The views are great, clean room but if your next to the loud cantina/bar across the street good luck trying to sleep(Saturday night) they where yelling and partying til about 6am
Beautiful hotel, great staff. Amazing views from rooftop bar.
The hotel is next to a night club so get used to loud music and sirens. Room was nice but nothing special. The bar has no TV except in a private lobby area with chairs that are 2 feet from the ground (very low). the rooftop bar was super dark, no chairs to sit at the bar, when I asked they said it's a walk up bar, so if you want to sit at a bar you have to go to the lobby. the check in staff was very helpful.
My other complaint is with the cost of the In-Room menu. I ordered a cheeseburger which cost $24 and an iced tea which cost $6, then they charge an additional $6 delivery charge (to take your food to your room from the kitchen), then they charge an automatic 20% for Gratuity (even though food takes over 45 minutes to deliver) putting a cheeseburger and iced tea at $48. the hamburger was rare on one side and overcooked on the other, fries were soggy and old.
Go less than 4 blocks away to West Side Steak house, their NY strip is cheaper ($39) and you'll get a better meal.
Fantastic food... especially the chicken and waffles for brunch, and reasonable prices too!
My go to hotel everytime I'm in the city. Always up to date, clean, and friendly staff. Free wine hour every evening and lots of complimentary offers. Valet parking is very easy. Get a city view of available for a view that cant be beat. The Print restaurant has great options and great food. The Press Lounge roof top bar is one of the best in the world.
Very nice hotel. Modern rooms and decor. Pet friendly and near everything.
Gorgeous hotel. Amazing rooms. Incredible rooftop bar. Great customer service.
Most of the staff is rude. They treated us like we were homeless.
I visited the press lounge for a get together with some friends. The drinks were on the pricey side, but on par for the area. The cocktails were delicious though!
I'm a Kimpton lover. Everyone knows it. But I stayed here for an overnight visit to the city and did not want to leave. We had a corner room with a great view of the NY skyline and as always I treated splendidly as a Kimpton Intouch Member. We were accessible to broadway and Chelsea Pier and getting around was easy. The staff was SOOOO accommodating we realized we forgot our phone chargers and the front desk was very friendly and had a charger delivered to our room. The beds slept well and the bathroom was small but fit our needs. We had a great stay and I definitely will stay there again when visiting Manhattan.
It s a very very nice hotel. However, if you re sleeping on the north side facing the rooftop bar, prepare to hear bumping music until 3 am. Thankfully I brought ear plugs with me, otherwise I would not have slept.
Incredible views on the top floor. Service was helpful and nice.
Great hotel in the heart of NYC! Good attentive service and the rooms and sheets were clean. Close to all the fun and attractions
I like this hotel because its rooftop has the best views of NYC
Very nice rooms and they had a balconies facing the Hudson River which was amazing at night. Had a great stay
Everything has been good except a guy was playing bagpipes since morning 6 right by my window. I couldn't beleive it at first. I know it's not the hotel's fault, but this did ruin my sleep
Excellent views from the rooftop bar. Good spot for a quick drink to start the night.
Suite huge very good. Visited Print restaurant for Breakfasts & Dinner during stay. Excellent only two complaints a little salt with the seafoods. Housekeeping didn't restock items in bathroom. Rooftop great, staff greeted us and was wonderful..just one staff member was rude.
Great rooftop bar with great views. EXPENSIVE drinks - $17!! That is crazy even fit NYC.
The room was very pleasant, good atmosphere, with lot of space and a great bathroom. We felt right at home.
Fun. Smoke free. Awesome hot pretzels and great drinks
Delicious food, large portions, but the cocktails are super expensive.
Great place for family Sunday brunch! We were disappointed the rooftop bar only opened at 5:00 though. We were gonna have a cocktail and socialize after the brunch.
This was one of my first rooftop bars in New York, with beautiful views of the city. We came during the winter so we could only experience the inside of the bar. My only complaint is that there wasn't a wide variety of draft options, but the cocktail I had (Mora) was very good.
Nice room but very noisy at night and in the morning. Breakfast, don't bother. Go out to eat.
I ve been just for rooftop party that day, and view was amazing! So I m pretty sure the view from the hotel window is just incredible! I wish one day to stay in that hotel just to enjoy this city lights and actually river lights on the boats. You can see all the city from there. And prices not to expensive compared to nyc prices on manhattan. So I would like to visit for better experience
One of the best after work locations ever to grab a drink with at killer view. Why are you still reading just go already. :-)
Nice hotel, great service, comfy rooms, and an amazing view from thier rooftop bar.
It was such an amazing stay. Marilyn at the front helped me promptly and from the initial introduction, highly pleasant. I would def. love staying here again. the room was so wonderful and the room service on point. The Restaurant PRINT 75 connected to the Hotel was wonderful, the food delicious, the service great s well and the ladies at the bar very amicable and professional. I have zero complaints, only the noise of construction taking place across the street, which of course Ink48 can't do a thing about.
