Amazing staff. Beautiful hotel and an amazing location. Very accommodating.
Amazing staff. Beautiful hotel and an amazing location. Very accommodating.
Amazing views and bar atop this hotel. The drinks and food were very good and made for a great evening
Gorgeous roof top bar with a lovely view of the city
Everything about our stay was nothing but superb. Concierge was courteous and attentive, and the room was spotless. Great decor, as well.
Very trendy. Had a food for dogs in a fancy bowl by the entrance, so definitely pet friendly.
Great location. Clean, modern rooms. Very hospitable.
The Kimpton is incredible. The customer service is beyond excellent. We accidentally showed up without a reservation after unexpectedly coming down to NYC to see a friend in critical care on my birthday - it was a bad day. But Mostafa at the front desk took care of everything for us incredibly graciously from getting us a beautiful room last minute (on commencement weekend) to sending up a birthday surprise to try to make the day a bit nicer. I truly cannot recommend this place more. If you want a chic, beautiful and full service hotel in an incredible location with wonderful customer service look no further than Kimpton's Ink148.
I've stayed at the Ink48 numerous times over the past few years, much like the other kimpton hotels it's a beautiful place with helpful, friendly staff. Located in Hell's Kitchen, this hotel is far enough away from times square to avoid all the tourist foot traffic, but close enough to walk to anything you need to in that area. Will continue to stay here for years to come!
Excellent hotel, although parking can be challenging if you choose not to use the hotel's valet service.
The room was spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The rooftop lounge had great views of the city. Grab and go breakfast had many options and reasonable prices. It was an easy walk to the theaters and restaurants.
Press lounge is gorgeous. Views are amazing and it's quite spacious. Drinks are expensive but strong.
Very comfortable room. Exceptional service and views at the rooftop bar.
Excellent views, way out of the way, but a nice rig. Beers are the priciest I've ever seen ($14 drafts)
Great hotel, awesome and hip vibe. Not the walker friendly part of town, but definitely manageable.
Wasn t staying at this hotel but was a guest at the rooftop Press Lounge. I forgot my charger plugged into an outlet at the rooftop and called the hotel maybe 10-15mins after I left. Since there is no phone line to the Press Lounge (really?!?!?) I asked them to let the security at the Lounge know and leave it aside at Lost and Found . They never done anything about it and even after me calling the next day a few times they were putting me on hold and transferring to the department that no one ever picked up, only voicemail.
All that I asked for was for the front desk to tell the Longe security that is standing in the same hotel lobby by the elevator checking guests IDs and doing rounds at the rooftop, to just grab the charger and put it aside for me to pick it up-nope, not that easy!
Great boutique hotel in Hells Kitchen with easy walking access to Times Square and the Theatre district. Hotel is 1 block from the Manhattan Cruise Terminal making embarkation day a breeze.
Hotel very comfortable. Situation central. Staff very helpful and friendly.
Nice property. Great location. The view and the rooftop pool was the best! I recommend it.
Some friends and I went for an overnight stay. The front desk staff was really friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The free hot chocolate was great too! Rooms were nice and clean with comfy beds, but nothing out of the ordinary. It was loud at night because our room faced a bar across the street so there were a lot of voices and car honking which was frustrating, but it quieted down eventually. Overall, a nice hotel and great staff.
The view from The Press Lounge is incredible. The service was great as well as the small plates.
The hotel is very tastefully decorated. The room was very large with a huge bathtub in the room bed was very comfortable. The minibar very well stocked (incl. Extraordinary [sexy goodies] ) and relatively cheap.
Ready to go in the morning instead of hot coffee and tea - very welcome in the cold wind. The coffee even tasted very good
A pleasant fragrance was always present in the lobby. The staff was always very friendly and helpful.
Press Lounge has great views! It's a good bar for a private event or just an evening cocktail.
Service at Ink48 is superb and always exceeds my expectations. The rooftop bar has the best view and a happening scene
We enjoyed our stay at Kimpton, the hotel is clean, modern and the staff are super nice. My husband wants to go back to the Kimpton hotel. There are some construction going on around here for now but it didn't bother us. :)
Very nice interior. The location isn't ideal since 11th Avenue is a bit out of the way.
This hotel is extremely unprofessional and does not know how to value their customers. The Spa team refused to accept my phone calls and hung up the phone on me when I was inquiring information. This establishment is unprofessional, rude, and discriminative.
Great service. Friendly staff. One of the best restaurants in the neighborhood.
Kimpton staff always know how to treat you right, rooftop.bars excellent the restaurant Print is wonderful as well great food.
A good place to drink and drink and see the scenery
Excellent views, way out of the way, but a nice rig. Beers are the priciest I've ever seen ($14 drafts)
Great view, people, drinks and the rest is quickly forgettable
The roof top bar is super nice...beautiful view. Best part of hotel.
Here for the Marathon 2018. Stayed Friday night through Monday morning. Staff was friendly and professional. Nice little perks such as complimentary wine hour at 7:00 pm and our bed was made for us everyday. There is a very nice lounge located upstairs, which we did not go to, but saw many people come and go from there. There is a nice restaurant located at lobby level and a breakfast bar where you can order something quick to leave with (I had the farm house egg sandwhich - it was big and filling delicious). Location was ideal for us and we felt safe everywhere we went to and from this hotel. Many deli's, markets, and taverns and live theaters, within a short walk.
Press Lounge is a great hangout spot with great drinks although a little pricey, worth it for the view.
I came to a make-up artist conference. The attention in reception was very good.
It was ok. Nothing really made it more special than any other rooftop bar
Terrific decor, friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean and well appointed. And they were nice to our dogs.
Great hotel in the middle of Manhattan but all the way west. Stunning rooftop view from The Press Lounge.
Very clean room and good view. Good and polite staff.
I like this hotel because its rooftop has the best views of NYC
The rooftop bar is a nice place to meet with friends. It has excellent views, and is not too crowded. The service is solid, including a bathroom attendant and a staff of efficient waitresses serving the outdoor lounge area.
Solid hotel, great rooftop, albeit in an odd neighborhood.
Every staff I've had interactions with at this establishment have been so helpful and some even went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The rooms have been newly renovated and are modern and very chic.
A little outside the hustle and bustle but close to Hell's Kitchen, a very lively area with many restaurants. Hotel faithful to the quality of the group with little "customer" service. Had to ask 5 times before getting a Coffee maker with 5 capsules! Great room top for a drink and admire the Hudson.
Great Hotel, staff was nice and seems like they had cleaning staff on call 24/7, hence the place was very clean.
We loved the rooftop views and the swanky feel of the bar.
The hotel gave us the elegance of a center city hotel without the foot traffic and lights of time square.
What a splendid view!! Press lounge is a must visit.
We got the Premier Studio King bed room 1504. I called in the evening before our stay and Marilyn made sure to note our request for a higher floor - which I appreciated!
Pro's:The room was super spacious and modern! There was a deep tub that we got to enjoy and the view was beautiful! Also lots of lighting which I really really liked! The staff was helpful and professional also.
Cons:
There was construction outside starting around 1am until about 5am or so, it was loud drilling - which was not as loud as if we had been on a lower floor. Though.. It was Monday (labor day), so I'm confused by the time and day of the construction work.
The bed had no fitted sheet or duvet covers.. It was all flat sheets - which left me a bit confused and feeling like I was in a wrestling dynamic if we moved at all. The sheets got jumbled up and a headache in general.
I like that the AC was manual - however, the room was either too hot or too cold - especially throughout the night, maybe because it was a spacious room so it had a hard time gauging the temperature. So we barely got sleep.
There was also no coffee machine or cups or anything - but this could have been due to covid regulations?
Overall, it was a decent stay!
Excellent place for dinner - varied menu and great cocktails.
Nice view of the City. Restaurant and rooftop lounge in the same building.
They are so supportive and welcoming! This hotel really makes me feel happy and well-rested! As their customer service is one of a kind, I strongly recommend this hotel! Plus, they have competitive prices as well!
Good hotel. Our room was spacious with fantastic city views and it was quiet. The shower could be better and there were some strange marks in our bathtub. It would be great if the rooms automatically had a coffee maker. Also, every other Kimpton I've stayed at has Chromecast, what gives? I don't want to pay $20+ dollars for your movies.
We chose Ink48 for my girlfriend's birthday, and the night ended awfully for everyone in our party. Please note that, as patrons, we did not anticipate the improper treatment we received yesterday as we were celebrating my girlfriend's birthday. As a couples dinner, we read great reviews online about your establishment, and spent a lot of money while dining at Print restaurant and at the Press Lounge. As we finished our evening, we were requesting to use the bathroom before we departed. We inquired with the Front Desk, and were rudely treated by the staff.
When we asked to use the bathroom on the first floor, and we were told by the "lead manager" that the establishment is not a "public bathroom" and to "use our common sense." My friend questioned him on his behavior, and informed him that we were finishing our night and just needed to use the restroom before we left the establishment. In a very rude, displeasing tone he loudly stated that we "should use our common sense". We asked for his manager but instead of handling the situation professionally and with courtesy, he went onto threatening to call the police on my friend, and on all of us, and called the bouncers from the Press Lounge.
He appeared to be of asian descent wearing a nametag of "Joseph Marotta." This event occurred on the morning of June 28th around 2:30AM. Because it was my girlfriend's birthday, we decided to not further ruin our night and walk away even though we truly felt disgusted by this 'Joseph Moretta' named individual's behavior. Please do go ahead if you wish and review the surveillance videos to confirm these events.
If patrons/customers are subjected to such underhanded behavior by the Front Desk of a New York City hotel, what type of message is being conveyed? Apparently this individual and other members of the front desk is not psychologically competent enough nor educated enough in the area of customer service to treat customers. Customers are the key to a business' success. We were celebrating a birthday, having a great time, and ended the evening with cynicism and threats by this individual.
I would like his supervisor to contact me on this matter as i will be taking it to every source i can to show how awfully we were treated. Hiring this individual might not be Ink 48's fault, but keeping him will certainly cost them as i can only imagine how he is treating/will be treating many other customers who will never return to Ink48, and/or who will negatively impact Ink48's reputation. I can be reached by phone or email, as this was truly the worst way to end a birthday celebration at a reviewed establishment. Regards,
Bert Kaleli
Beautiful hotel but how do you not warn your guests of the LOUD HAMMERING CONSTRUCTION THAT STARTS AT 630AM!?!?!? So rude.
Nice rooms, marvelous views, conveniently located, but far enough away from Times Square. The rooftop bar is fine at off peak times but it draws a big crowd of the worst most vacuous people.
Fabulous staff and rooms, at a reasonable rate. Will definitely be back!
I love Kimpton hotels and Ink48 has always been one of my favorite hotels in the city. This past week has completely changed my opinion of the hotel. In order to earn am exceptional rating, a hotel first and foremost must provide exceptional service to it's patrons. Not only has the hotel not been accommodating, they have been extremely rude in dealing with several situations that have arisen throughout my stay. Management and staff have wasted countless hours of my time, and charged ludicrous fees, justifying them by unpublished policies seemingly made up on the fly. The have continuously done the least they could possibly do in order to resolve the multiple issues that have arisen over the past 7 days.... I will save the details, but there have been major problems I have encountered with the hotel during my stay and the hotels response and lack of any attempt to resolve these problems should give pause to anyone considering this over the many other hotels in it's class in Manhattan.
At the restaurant, the food was amazing. The staff was attentive and the ambiance was very nice. Be prepared to be cold, though, as they have the air conditioner going strong. There rooftop bar has spectacular views of both the city and the river. I highly recommend going.
Nice hotel with the advantage of larger than usual rooms size towards the standard in NYC. This is thanks to the building which looks like an old warehouse with big windows giving on the midtown skyline or on the river.
Location is quiet at the boarder of Hell's Kitchen on 11th Avenue but not too far from the crowd of midtown and Times Square.
Nice idea the breakfast on the go you can order in the morning at the counter close to the restaurant.
Service is good but sometimes lacks authenticity and empathy.
We travel with our two pups and have stayed in quite a few Kimpton hotels. Ink48 looks pretty new and contemporary. Rooftop bar has spectacular views and was quite hip and trendy. The rooms are big for NYC. We were on the 3rd floor. Super noisy with street, club, and construction noise. Some sound proof windows would go a long way towards guest comfort! They lost a star because I was going to order room service for breakfast, selected a $22 meal and at the end the hotel had added +$10 in "delivery fees"! Really? From the kitchen?! I canceled, they lost that sale and a star!
Excellent location (accessible to most destinations, but with some breathing room), great views of the Hudson/skyline, and helpful staff overall. Both Print restaurant and lounge were worth a visit, even if only for a drink or dessert. Definitely consider if seeking a nice hotel in the area.
Great location but at almost 500$ per night, there are much nicer places to stay in the city.
Great service and nice staff with good recomendations
Great hotel in Hell's Kitchen. Staff was friendly and helpful with recommendations in the area and directions.
