I came in in crisis. I'm bipolar. Im manic with racing thoughts and not sleeping and have been uncontrollably sad for 6 months now. The intake staff were super nice and agreed I was manic but this Indian lady comes on a tele screen and tells me I'm fine and they kick me out. I would not recommend this hospitol for any psych treatment at all

My husband Charles had surgery on April 5th by Dr Roberti. Dr Roberti, his staff and all employees in pre and post op did an excellent job and were very caring. We then moved to room 510 and could not have had a better experience. The nurses and assistants Karen, Leeann, Nancy, Anna, Ashley, Maria and Emily were all very caring for both my husband and myself. I cannot express how much we appreciate everything that everyone did to make our experience so worry free. Just wanted to voice our great experience because I know people are quick to voice their bad but never the good.

This facility still hasn't changed in over 20+ years of our usage of it. But it was where the ambulance took me last week. My doctors are in Sebastian and Melbourne, Florida and weren't notified. I had issues while there. So over that IRMC.

The Doctor offered a treatment plan for my kidney infection and information how to manage high fevers that was completely wrong. I know this as fact as I have a family member, a Doctor, who I contacted and she and her associates agreed that the treatment plan was completely wrong. I'm scared to ever return.

Liked the place. Brother in law was there, and struggling, and they had a young girl who was going to school to become a nurse( her name was Kristen) who would stay with him overnight. She was awesome, and we were very happy she stayed with him. I am a great judge of character and I know that she is going to be an awesome nurse when she finishes her schooling. She was aces all the way. Chris garvey .. she was taking care of larry in room 360

Had a cardiac ablation done with Dr. Faulknier. From the pre procedure testing to the actual procedure I was pleased with the care I received. Nurse Donald who assisted Dr. Wubnah fot my TEE was very professional and the cardiac staff for Dr. Faulknier was great. I especially appreciated anesthiologist's Dr. Pardillo's bedside manner and professionalism. Thank you nurse Stephanie for keeping me at ease and you couldn't ask for a better cardio electrophysiologist than Dr. Faulknier. The room on the 2nd floor was private and the staff for aftercare was attentive. Would definitely recommend any cardiac procedure at this facility.

The worst service you could receive. I visit the ER back in february 2016 no one from the ER registrationoffice came to verify my information. every bill i got from that visit has been paid by my insurance. Now to this day the hospital/clinic has not submit their er bill correctly because the assumed i had medicaid which im not. they have neglected to fulfilltheir duties. i called them gave them all my information and told them they need to contact the insurance company, their response was that they do not call the insurance to get paid.
#Indianrivermedicalcenter lacks service. you have become a nightmare to every person in indian river county. I rather go to Sebastian or fort pierce or drive to melbourne if necessary.
do not go to them

Husband went to ER on a Sunday night. He had an auto immune and a compromised immune system. He was to have an Ortho consult first thing Monday morning. No one bothered to come see him for almost 24 hours. He has septic bursitis. Finally today a doctor came in and he is going to have to be opened up to drain the infection. This should have all happened within 25 hours of us walking into the ER department. Not happy with this hospital, will never come back here if ever need emergency care again.

Thank you for the $1500 bill for talking to a nurse for 2 minutes while they wrote my symptoms down on a NAPKIN. Didn't receive any answer to why I was in tremendous pain even with medication I was on from the walk in clinic days before, never even spoke to a doctor. Called the department to ask for financial assistance due to Coronavirus and being unemployed since March and the woman was 0 help at all. DO NOT GO HERE, ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS STEALING YOUR MONEY, THEY DON"T CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH. Thank you for taking advantage of another low-income individual for the sake of your failure of a hospital. Almost as pathetic as the Indian River Mall.

I gone to the ER with heart palpitations at 160

I gone to the ER with heart palpitations at 160
Brought me right back and EKG various test where done. ER Dr Mastollne was great as well as the ER staff.
Dr admitted me to Cardiac unit..This was all done within 5hr cat scan etc.
Cardiac Unit rate a 3 . 1. Housekeeping cleaned a room with some type of bleach/chemical across the hall and the whole unit smell of toxic fumes not just me but all patients were complaining.
The evening nurse and aide brought me a fan !.
2. No nurse ask me what meds i was on for 24hrs. Very important to ask a potential cardiac patient what meds do u take. (U think)
3. Upon discharge the Nurse comes in ok you can go now u can walk out. I proceed to tell them my back was killing me (had my cane) can i have a wheelchair . Response, I will get my charge nurse. Charge nurse comes and proceeds to tell me we have no volunteers or TRANSPORT employees. (Rose very rude) .
Mine u i told her i had my friend waiting for me my outpatient services.
On my way walking out of a CARDIAC unit still not feeling well on new meds mine u! I encounter transport employee also ER had volunteers and 20 wheelchairs . Oh! Outpatient area is Locked after 5 so don't try.
Outcome! Overall service was great.
Ask the nurse don't u need to see or hear what meds the patient is on!!!!!
Make sure u have a patient advocate a friend family or someone who can ask questions.
Not impress with some of nurses on cardiac unit. Not going to let a charge nurse and other nurses ruin it for a whole hospital. A big thank you to Radiology dept and Aides also ER.
Especially to new Board Member or President Mr. R. Who's is trying to bring continuity of care to community.
Just FYI all cardiac patients should be WHEELCHAIR out of a hospital!!! Big liability even if nurse has to do it. Everyone a team there no I in team. Clean up cardiac unit and this will be a great Cardiac Care Unit. If your a nurse experiencing burn out or don't care anymore do something u enjoy! Don't forget to ask patient history and meds. Very important

Wish I could give 0 stars, horrible service by people with horrible attitudes that care nothing for the people they are helping the e r receptionists all have the same miserable attitude, they don t even care of the people they are in taking, this review does not say anything about the doctors or rooms because I left before being set up to a room as waiting 2 hours and then being told I don t know can be about 3 more. Didn t even ask for a name for accuracy or anything. Will head to MexExpress hoping for better care!

The only time you will see me in the IRMC will be because I am in the back of an ambulance. I spent 6 days
ofh hell on the 5th floor in orthopedic wing. Nurses are snotty, young and have many other things on their minds than caring for patients. I had a different nurse almost evey shift, but there was a few that came around again. Even after asking for my pain medication it was an hour late. With double knee replacement
an hour late was forever and inexcusable. There seems to be no older management staff that oversaw all the 25year olds that were inexperienced and thoughtless of what a patient needs. There were one or two that were outstanding in their duties as nurses, but Ive been there, stayed there, and only an emergency will get me back there. My problem is not with doctors or their surgeries, they are 5 stars, but make an effort to not ever have to stay on the fifth floor orthopedic area.Nurses are too young and inexperienced to be efficent.

There is an employee whose name is either Lauren Schwartz or Jenny Myrick. She is a labor and delivery nurse, i believe. She stole $600 in money collecting money for a woman whose boyfriend tragically died. She was around 4 months pregnant at the time. She also stole a $300 Coach bag. This bag was one of the last things the father bought for his girlfriend before passing away. She also stole an iPad as well. She came in the house while workers were making house repairs five days after the father died. She introduced herself as a friend to the workers. She took the iPad and the bag at that time. The police just say to file a report to small claims court. However, no charges are needed if she would just return the bag. She has stolen from many people. She just needs to return the iPad and the bag.

I was in IRMC from Sunday until Tuesday, my room was never cleaned. My sheet was changed on the 3rd morning only because the nurse couldn't get the needle in my vein and there was blood all over it. I have pictures I would love to share of the filth but I don't see where I can do this!

Had one of the worse experiences with our toddler ...

Had one of the worse experiences with our toddler in the ER. We walked in with a child that had 104.1 temperature, throwing up as we are walking in and completely out of it. They acted as if there was no rush or concern with her symptoms. When we got back to triage, they were more concern about whether she had played with her classmates that day than just getting her admitted. Finally getting back to a room, we had to wait another 30 minutes before the nurse came in to give her an medicine to help with the fever. The doctor on duty I will have to say was not bad, just did not specialize in pediatrics. However, the nurse took forever to do everything. We were told our daughter had an ear infection so they needed to start her on antibiotics. After an hour, the doctor came back in asking if the nurse had been, we informed him no. He stated, "she must have gotten caught up with another patient." Then she came to our room 15 minutes later, saying she had to wait on another nurse to help her with the shots. Another 20 minutes later, she finally came in and I cannot describe to you how completely shocked and upset my husband and I were about how rough they were with our child. Our little one had bruises where the shots were injected into her legs, and they weren't small ones either. Then it took them another 30 minutes to discharge us and there was no reason why we could not have gone home so much earlier. On top of this type of treatment, our child ended up having a horrible case of hand foot and mouth, with her ears being perfect ones we went to her pediatrician the next day. We will not be returning to this ER we will be making the extra trip to Lawnwood unless there is a big change. We moved here from Naples and they had an amazing pediatric ER center, maybe this hospital needs to consider something like this. Sad to see this type of treatment and non caring staff.

Its official do not get care at vero beach hospital, this is the third time I've had a problem.
They told me my fluid was low yesterday. I woke up not feeling right and cramping.
Called them and the nurse said to come down to get the repeat ultrasound, I get here & different nurse says they're not doing it. Put me on the monitor (which baby always come back fine) and sent me home.
I was told by MY DR IN THE OFFICE that the ultrasound they would be doing is only good for when they're doing it, I went from my amniotic fluid being 21, to an 8. Its suppose to be 13 at 36 weeks. ITS LOW.
I COMPLAINED, MY BABY BETTER BE HEALTHY.

Beware if your having blood drawn there by a lager male that looks like a polar bear he probably just got done drinking liquor from his flask, nurses and staff seem to be more on social media and in their phones rather than doing their job. You can find more professional people at McDonald's which is sad. Not all are bad there are a few good employees there.

Went to the ER with a severe pain. Asking for urgent help because of the pain... lady told me that I had to wait because they were several people in front of me... begging for help because pain was awful... She didn't care... I told her that I was in need to see a Dr right away... A nurse was there too, listening and she didn't care, only showing bad manners, treating us like ignorants, etc after arguing with them another nurse help me, but I had to deal first with 1st nurse before she was in charge to take temperature, etc but totally unprofessional in front of my 11 years old daughter, being rude with me, sarcastic. I think that people like this, they don't have to work in hospitals and neither in a ER. I feel hurt for the poor and unprofessional service I receive, for the way I was treated in front of my daughter. Even though people are before than others, they should use knowledge, compassion, etc in order to make a decision who needs urgent help.

Went to the emergency room with a 102 fever, not being able to keep anything done and a killer headache. Waited in the lobby for 3 hours while 8 people went ahead of me. Got into a room and the doctor didn t try to give me fluids. He just gave me something to control the vomiting and a Motrin for my headache (like I didn t try that). Fast forward 2 days later , I m worse so now I have to go to my family doctor when I should have just suffered through the weekend and started with that. WORST HOSPITAL EVER DONT GO UNLESS YOU WANT TO SUFFER MORE AND NOT GET TAKEN CARE OF

On Tuesday, 6/21, we had a very unfortunate visit ...

On Tuesday, 6/21, we had a very unfortunate visit to the ER. About 4:00 p.m. my dad arrived from "the Brennity" memory care division. He was unsettled and trying to hit and yell at the workers there. For the next 3 1/2 hours I sat there and communicated with the staff. He arrived "wet" and after several requests for help, the nurse "Shannon" did not respond. The police man was wonderful in helping my Dad change into dry clothes. My Dad is a big strong man and there was no way I could help. My dad also required help 2 more times to urinate in a plastic bottle. Still no help!
Long story short, medication given to my dad at the Brennity settled him down and he was able to have dinner before being taken back. I called his dr who prescribed medication to be administered more often. The ER nurse couldn't accept a call from his dr on my cel phone, so the dr call back through the IRMH ER dr. on duty.
Basically it was a 4 hour nightmare for me. My dad needed help! The only help I received was from the cop and the call I made, from my cel phone, to dr. Director.
The hospital put us in a room with no tv, no assistance, and no help moving my Dad from bed to chair etc. It was horrible!! The friendly cop wins the award for service and the nurses should be awarded for standing by and not doing anything!

I went to this hospital during the night shift. The ABSOLUTE WORST service I ve ever encountered at a hospital in my life. The staff in the front of the emergency room was horrible and very unkind. My husband was admitted while we were visiting from Seattle. The er staff and the nurses on the 4th floor were great. They took very good care of him. There were some downsides to our experience. Their was a staff doctor who was absolutely terrible. When I asked what the plan was for his care she told me that she had no plan for his care and if we used not left home we wouldn't be in this position. No bedside manners at all. The other problem was the food, it was AWFUL. Tasteless, cold, burned. The food came to his room overcooked and cold. When I went to the cafeteria the food on the steam tables was cold, from the refrigerator warmish. I do not know why the health department hasn't closed it down for food safety issues. The staff was great the food was really bad.

I am privileged to have had a recent heart surgery...

I am privileged to have had a recent heart surgery at Cleveland Clinic in Vero Beach. Having had a similar procedure ten years ago at Florida Hospital in Orlando, I was initially skeptical about having the same high tech procedure in a smaller community hospital. I am pleasantly surprised. Every moment of my stay was flawless. My medical team was headed by a dedicated Electrophysiologist Dr. Brett Faulknier - a young doctor who excels in skill, knowledge, technique and outstanding bedside manner. His confidence was reassuring. My previous Orlando doctor was also excellent but I am most impressed by this young, brilliant and kind doctor. The operating room and equipment are state of the art and first class. My anesthesiologist was Dr. Lisa Rogers. She impressed me several months ago by asking pertinent questions in a prior procedure which were necessary to pinpoint my then-developing medical condition. I requested her by name and will do so in the future. She is completely in the moment and focuses and communicates well. My cardiologist is Dr. Alan Rosenbaum -a gifted and dedicated professional who got me through the tough early days when adjusting heart meds was critical during the months before surgery. He was thoughtful and vigilant monitoring symptoms and dosage levels needed to avoid heart attack and stroke. He speaks to patients like a knowledgeable and caring friend. Last but not least are the nurses, nursing assistants, supervisors, technicians and food service people who cared for me post-op. Service and care came quickly and consistently during my stay. There were about ten of them and each met and exceeded my expectations. I am grateful to the prep team. I gratefully thank all of them for their professionalism and kindness.

Dad came in ER from a bad fall. Developed a massive brain bleed. Neurosurgeon Dr. Roberti preformed brain surgery to remove blood. Dad is 88 and recovering slowly. The SICU staff bar none were all excellent. They took care of my Dad's every need for 10 days. Dad is now in a post surgical floor continuing to recuperate i hope. Nothing but good things tp say about IRMC.

Unfortunately had has had 4 other surgeries since Dec. 2016. Aorta bypass and Gail bladder removal included. All similar good experiences.

Thank you Indian River Medical Center!

I have never been to a hospital as exceptional as...

I have never been to a hospital as exceptional as Indian River Medical Center. A person is made to feel like a celebrity rather than a patient. The doctors in the cardiac units are by far superior to any hospital I have ever been a patient in or even visited. The nurses are the best of the best. The rooms are private, one person to a room. Everyone entering my room knocked on the door whether it was open or closed and when they left the room they ask if I wanted the door open or closed. I never had a need to use the call button to have a nurse come to my room but I accidentally rang the nurse call button on two different occasions and a nurse appeared within a matter of seconds on both occasion. I can not say enough GOOD about Indian River Medical Center. Everyone I encountered there went out of their way to be friendly, helpful, and professional. Hospitals are not my most favorite place to hang out, but if you need to go to a hospital try your best to go to Indian River Medical Center. They are the Best of the Best. Straight AAAAAA's

I brought my son to this disgrace of a hospital with an allergic reaction. He was vomitting uncontrollably and had diarrhea. They sat us in the triage area surrounded by other people while my 4 year old is crying becaude people are watching him get sick. Then he broke out in hives from head to toe so bad that his lips were swelling and he said his fingers felt weird. And it took them 75 minutes to get him Benadryl!!!!!!!! Meanwhile there were grown adults with IVs for dehydration while my son waited 40 minutes for a CUP OF WATER! Never ever EVER bring your children to this hospital! They will ne neglected, ignored and treated LAST!

Emergency Room

Emergency Room
I wish minus zero stars was an option for the lack of care and concern my 13 month old grandson was given by the ER Triage this past Friday evening!
He was listless, irritable, fevered, wheezing and constantly coughing. His breathing was visibly very rapid. He had vomited in the car prior to their arrival.

We do not choose the ER for non emergency however his Pediatrician was not in the office that afternoon. After receiving a frightening call from daycare that they were very concerned about him, my daughter quickly picked him up and chose what she thought was the quickest care. Huge mistake!

The Triage nurse at Indian River / Cleveland Clinic spent very little time with him , telling my daughter to continue care and RX she was given at a walk-in clinic a couple of days prior! They sent her back out to wait in the ER waiting room! No vitals were ever taken yet he was released after we stood with him for at least am hour, waiting for nothing! He was barely able to lift his little head except to cough which was pretty constant at this point, nearly choking each time. Triage was witnessing his condition since we had no choice but to stand near their window, trying not to offend other patients in the ER waiting room by taking a seat near them.

My Daughter asked several times for a breathing treatment for him, yet she was assured that it would not do any good (?)!Keep in mind no vitals were ever taken and they had never touched him!! If they had they may have realized he was near a the medication he was on was not correct!

He was so visibly ill that a sweet random person in the ER waiting room walked over and handed my daughter a slip of paper telling her that her infant was treated the same way at this hospital recently and she took him to the hospital on the slip of paper, and that they took very good care of him. it had the address for Lawnwood on it! After living in Vero Beach for 30+ years , this was rather embarrassing to me that our quality of pediatric healthcare had stooped this low! Before that lady had even approached my daughter they had already decided to take him to Lawnwood. The long delay waiting forever for him to be released only prolonged him getting to a quality pediatric healthcare facility!

As soon as they got to Lawnwood he was treated immediately ! They quickly checked his vitals and his temp was now 104+! His oxygen level was low and his rapid breathing gave cause for concern! The medicine he was given from the walk in clinic was under-dosed for his age /size so they corrected that immediately !

He perked right up after a breathing treatment and some other care. Thankfully he was prescribed a nebulizer with the medication for Home and he is doing much better today! Bottom line is don t trust this ER with your precious little ones!

This is a fine hospital. The care I've received on several occasions has been great. Sure you might not get into the ER in record time; but that is expected. People forget about taking their non emergency symptoms to a urgent care clinic and will complain about the long wait at the ER. Nothing is worse than a patient walking in complaining of a cough for 3 MONTHS!! And somehow this is an emergency? c'mon.

I have edited my last review

I have edited my last review

Since my encounter 7months ago a lot has changed in this hospital. I came in a month and with in 3 days had my gallbladder removed. 3 weeks later I am back again to have gallstone removed that they couldn t get to at the time of the surgery. This go around the nurses in the ER and in the ward we re VERY professional. Dr Paul is an outstanding surgeon, Dr Grossman is very good GI doctor.
The reason why I am giving the 4 star review is because of one doctor. Dr Canipe. Waited for her for 3 DAYS IN INSCRUTING PAIN because she didn t want to be bothered. Then as I am being put under for the procedure tried to talk to me. She did a good Job on the procedure I remove in my gallstones but she has no bedside manner

This hospital has been taking care of me for more than six years. I'm in there so much people call me by name. They have extended my life and continue to provide care on a bi-monthly basis. I've had major surgery here, I've been treated in Ambulatory Infusion, Scully-Welsh, used the Wellness Center, and I have regular procedures done in Radiology. IRMC is keeping me alive.

Staff in labor and Delivery were beyond a 5 star rating. My labor team was Dr.Fyffe, RN Julie, OBT Alaina, and Charge nurse Hope and a few more that I am missing. I really couldn't have had a better team. The way they worked together, thought fast, reacted fast and saved my babies life. Julie was right there no matter how many times I would hit my light, or cry in pain her entire demeanor towards my experience you can most definitely tell she loves what she does. And last but not least Hope! There were some small issues and concerns once I went home and I would still call labor and delivery for guidance and any time hope knew I was on the phone she was right there to assist me and completed things in a timely manner. I just can't thank this lovely crew enough. I appreciate each and every last once of them, and they truly made a difference!

During a recent visit, I was treated professionally, and with care and concern by everyone! The intake professional, the nurses administering the EKG, the X-ray technician, the EMT who drew my blood, the accounts rep who processed my copay/ paperwork..... And Dr. Barr was very thorough and provided the right balance of care and professionalism. The nurses working with him were excellent. I believe they all do their best under some very difficult circumstances in a very busy ER.

I am way past pissed off at this joke of a hospital,
My 83 year old infirm mother was brought in as an emergency (shingles) at 10 pm. They had her on a gurney ALONE until 4 am. When she was discharged my Mom asked for a cab to be called and was told they didn t run until 8 am. She asked if there was another way for her to get home and they said no.
They had her sit in a waiting room chair for FOUR HOURS. WTH?????!!!
She s old, infirm, weighs less than 100lbs and is in excruciating pain and NOBODY makes a move to help her???????
Inexcusable and beyond inhuman.
Shame on you all.

Please take my advice and stay away from this hospital. I had the worst experience here. Had to go to UF Health to have their mistakes repaired. My procedure caused a tremendous amount of pain and years of disability. Even Lawnwood is better than this place. If you have the money go to Jacksonville.

I tried to make an appointment with a new GP in this practice for several days without success. You can t reach the doctor s office directly, you have to leave messages for callbacks which never happen. I was told there is only one person scheduling patient appointments! Practice managers don t return calls either. What a mess. Thankfully, I found a GP outside of this practice.

One of the WORST HOSPITALS that we've ever experienced. My father was there for a few days, in so much pain and nurses and Drs were all very negligent in his care. They are only there for a pay check and not give the level of care that a human deserves. Ask to see the charts, ask to not only talk to attendees but their superior. Make them accountable.

Nothing has changed other than the name.all Clevel...

Nothing has changed other than the name.all Cleveland Clinic did was to buy a bankrupt hospital and put thier name on it!
Suggestion; DIRECTLY send your concerns and complaints to Gregory Rosencrance the director and president of Cleveland Clinic IRMH.....GOOD LUCK!!

Updated; They ve gotten better in 2yrs. They went from a 2.3 star rating to a 2.4 rating. And still nowhere near Cleveland clinic s protocol and patient care.
On 29 July 2020 I went in for a simple routine kidney biopsy At 7am. When I was being prepped For the procedure I told them I needed a sedative, they didn t give me one. Then they Wheeled me in to the CAT scan room for the procedure, at 7 AM they Placed me Face down head propped up feet propped up on a hard CAT scan table. I was a little nervous about the procedure because of all the warnings and cautious about it.(look it up if you re not familiar) well they start a procedure by checking out my kidneys and seeing where they were at ,so when they stick the needle in to take the biopsy they would know exactly where to put it. While they were doing that I complained about laying on a hard metal bar across my umbilical hernia it was uncomfortable! One of the MAs or Technician told me it was plastic but they didn t do anything to make me comfortable. this was about 8 o clock. The doctor came in and they started the procedure and my blood pressure went up to 175 so they gave me some blood pressure medicines to bring it back down. it went back down to 150 so they started it again and it shut up to 200 when they stuck the needle in and they almost got the biopsy but they quit the procedure.... told me they would have to do it some other time when I got up from the table I was in excruciating pain from my umbilical hernia because they inverted my intestines bulging out of my navel and I had to go to the emergency room! Where I spent the rest of the day till 6 o clock that night without anything to eat Or drink since 8 o clock the night before. While in the emergency room waiting for them to bring my blood pressure down fix my inverted hernia and do whatever else I do for over nine hours?
I was in room 22 and across the hallway was room 21 a Coronavirus room with a patient in it being tested THIS IS WHERE IT GETS SCARY! A Xray tech in full hazmat gear wheels in the x-ray machine, and after she was done. She come out of the room shuts the door and TAKES OF HER GLOVES AND PAPER SMOK and THROW IT in the TRASH CAN right outside my room With my door open????? I worked a flight and ground safety and I know OSHA rules this was definitely unprofessional and a safety violation!
And I will be writing all this up and making a report so I guess if anybody cares like the CEO of the hospital take note . Look up my name on 29 July for a 7 o clock kidney biopsy procedure and all the records are right there be waiting to hear from you!

I hope because I haven t been tested since then. I don t catch anything because then the media and State health department will get involved!!!!!

I thought this was supposed to be Cleveland clinic, Not the old Revived bankrupt IRMH?

My daughter ended up here for a broken collar bone during a soccer tournament. When the ambulance arrived, they dropped the bed and all the medical gear on the ground straight out of the ambulance. She was transported on a dirty bed with dirty medical supplies to Indian River hospital, where she was put in an equally dirty emergency room. The fun came later when the bills arrived. We recieved 4 different bills. We had no prior knowledge that every doctor who signs the chart gets paid. It was like a conga line of doctors. When I called to inquire why 4 doctors were needed, the billing department is very rude. Be warned, avoid this hospital.

My fiance had a grand mal seizure (no history of them) on Saturdsy, he got an appointment at TCCH on Tuesday (no insurance), he makes too much money for assistance and not enough for insurance. So they tell him to go to the ER because he needs an MRI and an EEG. We go to the ER Friday and he's told they won't do any imaging because he wasn't having a stroke!!! Seriously?? So, basically, if you need to be evaluated, you better be knocking on deaths door!

This is in reference to the behavioral health cent...

This is in reference to the behavioral health center only, as the actual hospital is an entirely different subject. The front desk people are loud, incompetent, and either stole or lost my possessions. It was pitifully easy to escape their "quiet room" on multiple occasions, and in the course of just a two-day stay I was able to amass an entire drawer full of contraband and weapons with which I could harm myself or others should I choose to do so. The actual RNs are overworked but genuinely try hard, which is difficult for them and everyone else in cases where dementia or Alzheimer's is concerned.

Their psychiatrists are a joke. The first, Dr. Hebig, prescribes ECT for the vast majority of cases that cross his desk; no great surprise when you take into account that he has a vested interest in the local ECT clinic. Dr. Kent, to whom I spoke most often, wanted me to pray with her several times and directed me to a number of paid programs focusing on meditation and pain-management which have been disproven as quackery on many, many occasions. Though still focused on suicidal behavior, they discharged me on the basis that there was nothing they could do for me further. Upon my discharge, the administrative nurse finally filled out all the paperwork she should've done when I arrived and then handed me their booklets with treatment plans, rules, regs, etc that would've been of use when I first got there.

Finally, the facility itself is falling apart. It reeks of neglect and abandonment, and if you weren't mentally ill going in, you sure would be coming out.

I am a Cleveland clinic patient in Cleveland and was here in Florida when my Dr said I needed a ct scan. To make things easy (I thought) I had the scan done here. Unfortunately even though the Dr in Cleveland requested the scan they won't release the results to Cleveland without me driving 1.5 hours there to release it. Why did I try to make it easy for them. Anyway I am not going to go there. Someone just better get their act together

Absolutely nothing good about this facility. They ve sent my daughter home 3 times in a week with BP over 200/100 after childbirth. Tell her it s her fault they don t know how to treat her, because she s breast feeding her premie newborn, which they refuse to allow to room with her...funny Holmes Hospital knew exactly how to treat her within an hour of delivery, but she s also been told they aren t interested in those records, left her in the ER twice for over 5 hours, & have ignored 4 requests to transfer to Holmes! Now one IV spot looks infected, one vein blew, & another has a white puss oozing out. Took 8 hours to get her in the cardiac ward. Hell hath never seen what you are in for if my daughter dies!!!

Brought my daughter in to be seen and been in the waiting room for over 1:30 hours. I think it's ridiculous to not care about the patients that obviously came for help. The chairs are so uncomfortable, you'd think they would put recliners in the waiting area because your guaranteed to wait over a hour. They'll let you die before being seen. Avoid this place if possible. I would have a 0 star review if it were possible.

I had to take my 2 toddlers to IRMC ER on 2 separate occasions and both times they were fast and efficient and really cared. On 1 visit a member of the staff actually went into the gift shop and bought 2 bears for my toddlers because they were scared and crying. The nurses made sure they had juice and crackers and even turned on cartoons for them and played with them so they would be okay. I really appreciated the effort they put in. I could tell they really cared instead of just doing a job.

I received poor service from the doctor and nursing personnel.I went in complaining of server pain.I sat in the empty emergency room for 30 minutes or more crying.Once I went to the back I sat even longer. The over night shift had left and attempted to get my blood work but were not successful. They left me for the day shift who came in 1 hour after shift change. The doctor saw me and said he understood I was in pain.He said he would get me something for the pain.He did not I had to ask for the medication. My husband was there to help me walk to the bathroom.I was in extreme pain and discomfort. No one asked me how I was feeling. The doctor did a urine test and labs.He state s I had a bladder infection but that my extreme pain was adding up to this diagnosis.Regardless he discharged me home with antibiotics only.I sat in pain to more days and I visited another hospital. They repeated my urine test and it came back clear.Keep in mind I never took the meds Cleveland clinic prescribed because I knew that s not what was going on with me.i told the nurse that day I didn t want to leave he diagnosed me wrong. She said seek help at partners.Anyway the other hospital did a cat scan I had a ruptured ovarian cyst that was actively bleeding. They medicated me appropriately and made sure I was giving the current diagnosis and medication. This hospital is the worst hospital that was ever created if you don t no what s wrong with someone say that.Letting me be in server pain like I was I ll never forget.I would not recommend anyone attending this hospital.I sat at this hospital with ver 5 hours for them to do nothing for me.

This is the WORST hospital ever. My Grandmother has been in and out of here a few times only because of the location and the fact that she is not able to drive to a real hospital at the time. She cannot function properly because of her health and this "hospital" not only is trying to send her away and tell her to just go home but is telling her they have no solution and they are completly rude to her constantly. I fell like the only reason this "hospital" is still in business is because of the location and some people cannot afford to drive to a real hospital. This place is a joke and the people that work there are in need of real training so they can actually do their jobs and not bullsh*t the people that go in there in desperate need of help! I would tell anyone in need of help to keep driving and go to the next hospital so they will actually get the help they need. This place needs to go out of business so people can stop wasting their time here and get actual help that they need!

I heard the horror stories before I moved to town...but was glad I was wrong. Went in with chest pains and was seen before I even had a chance to sit down in the waiting room. The staff there is incredible...however, some of the doctors could have a little better bedside manners and more patience when explaining things to people. All in all, there nursing and support staff make up for it!

I had my first child at this hospital over a week ago and I cannot begin to tell you how amazing my experience was and it is all thanks to the staff. The nurses, the doctors, the ob techs, the ultrasound techs, even the secretary's at emergency and outpatient were wonderful. As an new mother I was also new to breastfeeding and the nurses immediately helped my son and I. Offering to take him for a few hours as well so my S/O and I could get some sleep. They answered all of my questions, guided me, took care of me, and were over the top nice to me and all of my visitors. Special thanks to Dr. Crawford, Dr. Wolf, Nurse Jessica, and Nurse Misty. Thank you all for the exceptional care for the best day of my life.

Surgeon Craig Popp and preop nurse Larry great. Made to feel like putting out day shift nurses and aide on 5th south ortho just by being there. Nurses delayed husbands pain medicine until it was severe. No pain pump provided. Preop order for a couple weeks for cot to stay overnight with husband but still no cot by first night postop. Was assured by privacy officer I would have a cot, left her a msg but she sid not return my call. So I made a bed on the floor of his room. After resting there a couple hours, night shift aide Sara found a recliner. We had only slept 4 hrs the night before the surgery getting up at 3 a.m. to get to the hospital @5. Night nurse Laura always asked if he needed something for pain and was careful to explain everything she did.

The worst hospital ever. Drive the extra 15 minutes to Sebastian. I could write a novel about this place. From the horrific nightmare I went through having my daughter to a recent stay of an immediate family member. Anyone giving IRMC high reviews is either a family member of an employee there or they are being paid to give a good review..HORRIBLE!
