I am privileged to have had a recent heart surgery...

I am privileged to have had a recent heart surgery at Cleveland Clinic in Vero Beach. Having had a similar procedure ten years ago at Florida Hospital in Orlando, I was initially skeptical about having the same high tech procedure in a smaller community hospital. I am pleasantly surprised. Every moment of my stay was flawless. My medical team was headed by a dedicated Electrophysiologist Dr. Brett Faulknier - a young doctor who excels in skill, knowledge, technique and outstanding bedside manner. His confidence was reassuring. My previous Orlando doctor was also excellent but I am most impressed by this young, brilliant and kind doctor. The operating room and equipment are state of the art and first class. My anesthesiologist was Dr. Lisa Rogers. She impressed me several months ago by asking pertinent questions in a prior procedure which were necessary to pinpoint my then-developing medical condition. I requested her by name and will do so in the future. She is completely in the moment and focuses and communicates well. My cardiologist is Dr. Alan Rosenbaum -a gifted and dedicated professional who got me through the tough early days when adjusting heart meds was critical during the months before surgery. He was thoughtful and vigilant monitoring symptoms and dosage levels needed to avoid heart attack and stroke. He speaks to patients like a knowledgeable and caring friend. Last but not least are the nurses, nursing assistants, supervisors, technicians and food service people who cared for me post-op. Service and care came quickly and consistently during my stay. There were about ten of them and each met and exceeded my expectations. I am grateful to the prep team. I gratefully thank all of them for their professionalism and kindness.
