The menu posted online and at the restaurant are different. Was looking forward to having stuffed avocados or even avocado with shrimp but were informed that those items were taken off the menu. So we ordered fajitas and the price was about 8 dollars more at the restaurant than what was posted online. :( :( If it wasn't for the beautiful scenery, my evening would have been very disappointing.
Amazing restuarant with floors and floors of outer decks overlooking lake Travis. Went to watch sunset it was breathtaking. They had live latino music which we enjoyed dancing to it. They even had salsa lessons. The margaritas were awesome.
Views views views absolutely beautiful. Their food and drinks are pretty good too. Great place to bring visitors. They have a souvenir shop inside as well. There are other shops outside the restaurant such as a coffee shop, ice cream shop, clothing and boot shop, and home accessories shop, jewelry shop, candy shop and of course a great brewery with the best views too! Sunsets are great too from here ;) in the restaurant they also have banquet halls for weddings etc.
Whenever I'm in Austin I have to stop by here the scenery is amazing and the food is pretty good as well
The Oasis is a great restaurant. The service was great, the atmosphere was phenomenal, and the food just out right yummy. Might I also add that the prices are incredibly reasonable. I took my girlfriend here and had the perfect time. What is unique about this restaurant is that you can bring your family out this place and also have a good time. I would recommend this place to my closest friends and family.

We visit the Oasis several times a month. Great views, good food and nice drive out. I always bring my guests from out of town to visit.
Nice Atmosphere and the view of the lake is gorgeous. Staff super friendly. Plan on waiting over an hour if arriving before sunset. Drinks are decent. Salsa, guacamole, and queso were really good. Wish the salmon and grilled chicken were a little better quality, but overall great experience.
Nice mexican restaurant their location is great specially on the tables outside they have a waiting list but dont take reservations. And with their size service can be slow yet i still recomend it . The food and drink are great and the sunset spectacular.
Little expensive but the views are absolutely gorgeous, especially at sunset. The atmosphere is amazing and music is pretty. Staff is always friendly. The wait time was insane 2 hours for a table and by the time we got the table they were closing . The view is beautiful and deserves some wait to enjoy it. The view is on a lake and most people come to watch the sun set over the water at night so this is a busy time as well. You need to wait to see it (do not leave before doing that :D) The place has live music a lot of the time which is pretty cool. Enjoy it
This place used to be a lot better. It was so crowded. Too many people. Maybe I should never go there on a Saturday night.
Great place to bring friends and family. I ve been coming here for years for an occasional drink with friends. It s great when they have live music playing. The view is beautiful, especially with the sun is setting. The food isn t so great but the view and drinks make up for it. It s definitely grown a lot and there is a lot to see while being there.
This place is a wonderful place for Lunch dinner and drinks. You will have lot of options but for the best seating reach early and dont miss the sun set. Been there couple of times and had a great experience every time. The service is little slow but I loved that part as I wanted to spend more time looking the sun set.
The queso was way to expensive for a small bowl of cheese. Avoid! The food wasn't as great as the price. Customer serive was poor at best. Not one refilled our water and never came to the table tl ask about the food. We were ignored out entire time there. The view was nice... that is all I would go back for.
It's a beautiful to watch the sunset on Travis lake.
We ordered cocktails and they were really good, our only disappointment was the limit of 2 cocktails per guest.
We also ordered the guacamole and queso, and the were good.
I love this place, is absolutely a must if you are in Austin, so romantic, and the best view for beautiful pictures.

Well. If you want a great view this is your place...if you ever get seated is a different story. For a party of 2....we waited 90 minutes and finally decided to give up. Our fault for being that patient...go somewhere else if you are wanting to eat food at some point in your life. Good luck to those that persevere.

I ve always been told this place has great views but mediocre food. To our pleasant surprise, the food was more than mediocre. We ordered the salmon, the shrimp tempura, the nachos and ahi tuna salad. Everything but the nachos was good. And of course the view and decor was excellent. Would come here again!
The Oasis is a fabulous location with great food. It has an amazing view especially at sunset.
The view is spectacular but the food and the service is bad. I got my entree before my appetizer ans i also asked my waitress Jordan for corn tortillas and she took forever to give it to me.
Great view but terrible food. Ordered steak for 30$ and they brought something (can t call it steak) not even chewable. Very disappointed.
Took over an hour to get food after we sat down. We ordered chicken wrap with fries... Three good was good once we got it. Service wasn't good either. We were very disappointed. 2 stars instead of one because of the view and girls that sat is were nice and helpful.
I would recommend going and just looking out and getting a picture but not eating here. On top of the bad service and long waits you'll pay for it to $$

Wish they closed at 11 on weekends. We intentionally arrived late to watch the full moon over the lake. The line was soooooo long, to get a table. It moved quick but should have been quicker bc not everyone was dining. The atmosphere was very nice.

Just amazing. You dont wait long to be seated to eat but while you wait they direct you to any of the multiple bars they have and suggest that you chill in the live band area. The music was really good very live vibe.

Deserves 0 stars. Terrible!!! Disgrace to Mexican food. Look at the view for free, this place is overrated, tourist attraction. Wait was 40 min, no chips n salsa, had to ask. Nachos horrible, solidified to one chunk. Bland. Take in the view and go eat somewhere else!!

The Oasis is a great place to go if you're looking for a nice view of Lake Travis. I recommend sitting on the top floor for a great view of the sunset. Don't get your hopes up for the food, it's basically fast food style tex-mex. The drinks, however, are quite good - especially the margaritas and mojitos, albeit a bit pricy. Go on a weekday night for less of a wait and the chance to see some live music.
The food is good but average and a little pricey for what it is, you're paying for the tourist attraction and the gorgeous views of Lake Travis. We were sat with no service for over 20 min, the manager finally came by and our service was spectacular after that and offered a free dessert to make up for it.

Food was ok and expensive. We had good service and the view is really nice. Come expecting a wait (took us 1.5 hours to get a table). I was pretty disappointed in the handling of COVID. The place was very crowded and most people in the waiting area were not wearing a mask. Tables did not seem spaced apart.
The view is amazing !! We loved the place, the atmosphere and the lake. Margaritas are the best. We went two hours before the sunset and it was a great experience. There are a few stores you can visit in the same location. Take some time to take pictures and enjoy the view.

I like that the Starlight terrace still has live music, especially the Brew as a regular Sunday band. The problem is it has become an overrated tourist trap. The prices are expensive for the very average food they serve. The Starlight Terrace always seems understaffed and the wait staff are hard to find when you need service. Hot dishes are rarely hot when they reach your table.
Visiting from Atlanta and stopped in for lunch. The views and beer are great. Food was mediocre at best and way overpriced.

I haven't tried their foods, but the view from the restaurant was awesome. If you want to see some real beauty, the recommend time is to go before sunset, and stay late. You will have a excellent experience.

Although I've been before I have to say this was one of the better times. Obviously people do not go for the food. The food isn't terrible but it's not the best tex-mex by far. The five stars is for the other things that the oasis has to offer. There is no better view of Lake Travis. We got a special treat and was seated at table 119, best in the house. Have a margarita, they aren't potent but are tasty.
We came here for my Dad's birthday on a Tuesday. The location, ambiance, and food was good, but the service was terrible, the wait for everything was long, and my Dad had dozens of international fraudulent charges on his card after buying drinks from the bar. Just seems like a shady operation with employees who hate their jobs.
This is pretty much all about atmosphere - you get to sit on the side of the cliffs and overlook beautiful Lake Travis while you eat and have drinks. If you're smart, you do it around sunset, so you can watch the beauty of that unfold over the water. When the sun dips below the horizon, they ring a bell and everyone claps. It's fun. :)
The food is not bad, but it's not mind blowing - it's fairly good. I'm a big fan of the nachos on the appetizer menu and the pork enchiladas are good. The margaritas are pretty good, but most drinks are fairly expensive. The live music is fun! I enjoy visiting and always want to come back soon.
Lipstick stain on the cup and hairs in my food. So disgusted and disappointed. Amid the reopening of restaurants during this time I would expect heath and sanitation would be a priority and at its best. Not here.
