If you know you're going for the view, you'll be fine. Considering how much they charge for food it really should be of a higher quality. The service was ok, not special, not bad at all.

if you are visiting Austin and doubting if it s worth it or not the drive, I m here to tell you it s worth EVERY mile. One of the best views I saw during my stay in Texas. Very good beers and service, staff recommended all of us a beer just like the one we wanted. Wayu hamburger was beyond words and they have a truffle aioli sauce that was unique. Visiting this place confirmed me the idea that I have about moving to Austin. Beyond expected, do not miss and try to be there for the sunset!

If visiting Lske Travis, this is a MUST VISIT. Amazing view and really good food

Atmosphere was wonderful. The Oasis is very nice and the band Dysfunction Junction was amazing. The food and drinks on the other hand are awful. The drinks were made with the lowest class of rum. So awful I couldn't drink it. It's really not hard to make a rum and coke so there is no reason why it was that bad except for some sort of sub standard rum. The hamburger was just Ok. Agin you are paying for the atmosphere, not for good taste. Go there for a fun evening but don't eat and especially don't doend your money on mixed drinks.., stick with beer.

Incredible view! After that, you may get lucky with fair service but not service-oriented. They know the view keeps bringing people in but I'm sure they are slow during bad weather which says a lot. Fair food and poor service 70% of the time. I still go back for the view but low expectations.

A great novilty place to take out of town friends.the veiw of lake Travis at sundown is amazing..there is usually a band on the weekenk..my favorite is Suede. As far as the food and drinks..i find the menu lacking..the food just ok and pricey ..again this is a novelty restraunt and nothing else like it..so i find it enjoyable for what it is

Sat on the patio and the view was amazing. Gorgeous looks over Lake Travis. Food was great. I ordered the Ahi Tuna Salad and it was a treasure!! The Ahi was perfectly seered and t by e black sesame seeds were a lovely touch. The place is really cool and I loved the atmosphere!!

Alright ..Awesome place , beautiful scenery.. great music .. most definitely an incomparable palace to enjoy a sunset ... My wife and kids loved it !

This is a beautiful place to have such of poor customer service staff and an average food level.... I know it's busy and all but your clientel deserves better !!

An iconic place to visit. Unique with a superb view. Lovely place with decent food.

Great atmosphere. Food is so so. Drinks should be about $2 less.

Food is terrible, and because of covid they only allow entry if everyone has a meal.

Nice view right on lake travis. Expansive outdoor seating. Great for a lunch with a view. Food is decent but with limited options currently.

The food is really good. The actual restaurant is very impressive looking. The drinks are delicious but expensive. Unfortunately waiting for a table is unbearable. We arrived @ 7:20 p.m. and didn't get seated until about 9:30 p.m.

When I showed up to park and meet my party the ground parking lot was full so I decided to park in the garage. The garage was also full And there was no garage attendant to tell people it was full. It took 25 minutes to drive to the top of the garage find out there's absolutely no parking and drive all the way back down. One of the people in my party was told there's no parking in the garage or on the ground so They decided to try valet parking only for it to fill up right before they got there. The valet told them to try and park in the garage and we ended up waiting 40 minutes until they finally got to park way down the road. Luckily it was a 2 hour wait to even get a table. I understand if you run a popular restaurant that there's gonna be a long wait some nights, but if your restaurant is that popular and you're making that much money maybe you can afford some crowd control and/or parking attendants.

When we arrived... There was actually A line to wait in to check in to a line to wait for a table.... When we finally got our table the table wasn't clean and had guacamole and chips all over half of it. The staff was however really nice but they seem really rushed... They jam pack this place full of people and obviously don't care about how long anybody has to wait, where they are going to park, or how understaffed thry are that things like clean tables are overlooked.

On the other hand the food and drinks were great, the restaraunt is spectacular, the staff if decent, and the view was fantastic. The restaurant is in great shape and has a lot of character to it.

I have lived in Austin for the past 25 years. The Oasis is nothing what it used to be, its just bigger. I'm not saying its a bad place, but I AM saying It's not worth the wait And it's a lot more hyped up than anything actually worthwhile.

The service was great. We just went for appetizers and drinks. The nachos were good. We were lucky to be near a fan and had an umbrella as it was hot outside.

Even though it is very crowded all the time, I will still rate this place as 5*. The brewery is amazing. We had a real good time here!

The view is absolutely gorgeous and that's the only reason why I like to come to this place. Food is very plain and I've tried different dishes but it always taste like it was made in a rush or without care. Flavors are missing! This place has SO MUCH POTENTIAL but it looks like someone just forgot about it. Cheap White plastic dirty tables, having beautiful tables in the lower level that no one uses. Kitchen is definitely a huge part of a good place and not only the view, if you don't have the view on a rainy day at least you have the food to enjoy with family, friends or partner but it seems that the only place is taking care of is the entrance with the beautiful plants and statues. Drinks are fine, next time I'll probably come back just for the view and a drink. I don't want to leave hungry and disappointed again. Please improve the kitchen!

The view is what makes this place special. Inside or outside there is an amazing view!!! Oh and the food is good.

The seafood enchiladas were good, but service was not the best. The server only came by to take our order, someone else brought the food and we had to track him down to get the check as we were in a hurry.

Definitely a place for the entire family. Beautiful scenery and excellent food. Gumbos on the Lake is a really tasty restaurant with delicious meal offerings, good prices and friendly staff. Must visit.

Food was edible... I didn't try the dessert, but it would probably be best to eat somewhere else before coming here and just get dessert or something light.

The restaurant is pretty good, but it is made infinitely better with a margarita and watching the sun set over the (extremely low) lake. The food is typical tex-mex, not the best you've ever had in your life, but really pretty good.

I had my wedding reception at The Oasis, and that was an amazing experience. The catered food was amazing, noticeably better than the restaurant and the Event Staff were just perfect. The whole thing went flawlessly and they were very patient with me while figuring out exactly what I wanted before the day.

The food was alright, pretty basic without a lot of vegetarian options. The drive out there is nice, and the sunsets are beautiful.

The view gets 10 stars. The food and the greeters...a mere 3.

Great views!!! Awesome food. Took my girlfriend there, brought her from the DFW Metroplex to impress her.. Did not disappoint!

They are known for the view and the drinks. Not for their food.

The Oasis was beautiful. Girlfriend and I went at the perfect time for a sunset and awesome view.
Restaurant quality however was below par. The food for the price was not worth it. Fish tacos tasted good and seasoned well. The shrimp tacos were your basic small shrimp from the frozen aisle of your grocery store with poor seasoning and lathered with a sauce. For 19 bucks a plate, two tacos, rice and beans, no thank you.

The bathrooms were extremely filthy. Before I could tell my gf that there was food spit up in two of the urinals and a horrible odor, my girlfriend told me the women's restroom was disgusting.

Our waiter was hilariously non expressive and spoke to us with no emotion. He would disappear for long periods of time. However when it came to sunset time, he had time appear and take a few pictures and selfies.

Overall amazing view at a subpar place to eat.

Beautiful place were friendly employees except the bar tender he keeped avoiding us and when my friend ask him why was he avoiding us he anwserd and an ugly additude but the manager and our waitress were awesome

Amazing view, however the food was not cooked well. The goat cart man pulled up to my truck when I arrived and said he would take my group and I, on a minute drive to the restaurant. I tipped him 10 dollars and when we got off, he said he would be here when we came out as well. When we came out, he took us back to our car and demanded a tip, as if I didn t just give him 10 dollars and was very rude about it. He made my group and I feel very uncomfortable.

Actually I don t really know what can I say about this place, you just must sow it by yourself. So many details in decor , gorgeous atmosphere, professional and kind staff. Of you don t really know what do you want , just ask , and they always will help you. Shrimp Fajitas just amazing , all just must try , very delicious. You can find here almost everything, coffee, ice cream, pizza, pasta, cap beer , and nice music. Guys just come and try )

Don't get better views than this. You don't go there for food. Try some of the other restaurants in the same Oasis complex.

You re just paying for the view. Menu is lacking in creativity and flavor for the caliber of restaurant you d expect to go with it. Too many inappropriate garnishes such as pico and shredded lettuce on an nice salmon dish. My mom s tuna salad was great, though. Drinks are hit or miss. Margarita mixes are too sour and burn with acidity. Mojitos aren t muddled as expected. My first one was so sweet that I sent it back and the second one just tasted like lime water despite the many mint leaves in the glass. It seems like their menu and drinks are meant to be cheap and quick to accommodate the volume of guests they see.
Our server was very nice and had good timing. Hostesses were pleasant and struck up conversation. They pull the umbrellas out when the sunset starts so you can watch it, which was much appreciated.

Fun atmosphere & great outdoor music venue with beautiful sunset viewing!!

Our waitress was rude and very put out! We were a group of 6 and when the check came it was all on one ticket and we were told they do not separate that is their policy. I asked for a manager and the waitress argued that I didn't need a manager! The view is the only reason to go here. The food is poor and the hospitality and entire vibe of Austin is awful!

Of course this venue is breath taking...the staff is something else though!

I really love the view and the curvy road leading up to oasis. The food has always been good and haven't had any poor service. Keeping the cups as a souvenir is just a bonus.

This place was great. The server was excelente. The food was delicious. Wait time on a Saturday where ever was available was less than 20 min around 3:30 pm. I do recommend this place.

When we came we had to wait almost an hour to be seated. When we seated they placed us to really bad place with too much sunny and hot while we had a kid. We talked to server to ask a new seat but they refused. Finally, we had to talke to manager and she offerred new place for us. But , we had to wait more than 40 minutes ro be served. Generally, this place offer Mediocre service. We will never ever return this place.

I just spoke with Jodie one of the managers at Oasis restaurant, and I had a wonderful experience on the phone with him, no wonder the restaurant has such a great customer service with a manager like him around, he explained with detailing about their special buffet reservations on Mother s Day Father s Day, New Year s Eve and Valentines sweetheart I have being at Oasis in different occasions and I love their food and environment, Oasis has so many years making everyone happy, enjoy Oasis on a week day to feel that incredible quality on their exquisite food !

The food was OK but the view of the Lake and the landscaping was very very nice
