This place is awesome. I moved up to Boston recently for work and decided to visit this place since my colleagues recommended I go there for some simple robotics kits. This place has just about everything you need for building your own computer in addition to simple robots. Has a huge Arduino section, rasp PIs, and even NUCs if you want to go that route. Starbucks across the street and a Trader Joes for interesting groceries. I'd never been in one before, so it was very interesting. The DIY computer sections is nice and large with ample parts of just about any rig you might like to build. Good selection of supporting equipment like switches, routers, NAS, UPS, and they still have modems too. It's a fun place spend an afternoon if you're a technologist and a breath of fresh air after the implosion of Radio Shack.

This is my adult toy store. Think Newegg meets Best Buy meets Radio Shack in a in person store. This place has it all: Arduinos, drones, 3d printers, TVs, Smart Home devices, and more. It's great to be able to check out electronics conponents in a physical store before buying.

Greatest place for people building computers. I will from now on always go here for my builds. Prices are usually rock bottom and the stock they have is incredible. The only issue I have is the sales staff can be a bit too aggressive. I just want to shop in peace and not have sales people coming up to me constantly and sticking their stickers all over stuff they didn't actually help me pick out. I'm assuming the stickers are for tracking commissions.

Awful! Went to the one in Cambridge. Spent several thousand dollars. One of the Surface Pro 3's screen broke. Was convinced to buy the warranty to cover cracked screens. The screen did in fact crack. They told me they couldn't fix it and I would get a gift card for purchase price. Did not reimburse sales tax and was also told I would have to buy a new warranty. Out over a $100 when I was told everything was covered. This is ridiculous. Buyers regret.

There is everything in this store, go to see the models of security cameras and there was a variety! But I found a special that fit my budget well the best accessories to build your computers and at very reasonable prices ..... you only get it in the Micro Center

I was sold a computer with no product key for the operating system. I am told there are many other computers like this one in for servicing. The computer stinks, files are corrupt, the guy I was speaking with said he can't help and hung up on me. I can return the computer is all. How about all the time I sunk into it. I have to return the computer because it came with no operating system product key. This is supposed to be whose fault? This is a horrible store, like a nightmare.

Got the raspberry pi 4. I got there around 4pm, stayed in one section, and all of a sudden they were closing and it was 9pm. Again. There's some kind of time worm hole because this happens every time I come here. This place has everything, I don't get why people go to Best Buy when this exists

Probably one of the best physical stores for all your computer needs. The store is basically full blown electronic store, but the main selling point for me is the comprehensive selection of computer parts and equipment.

Been coming here for years. They have EVERYTHING digital. Need a replacement hard drive today, and they had a large selection of bare drives. Any cable, connector, etc. - your best bet is to try here first.

Great plane with very knowledgeable staff and wide variety of high quality products instead of having shelves full of "highly popular" products that may fulfill the needs of the general public but it doesn't fulfill the needs of advanced users. This store became my favorite hardware/technology store in the U.S.

My experience with MicroCenter was disappointing. The website AND the person answering the phone said that there were 3 copies of an item in the Cambridge store. So I asked a friend of mine to make the trip and pick one up. Guess what, there were zero items available. Lousy inventory system.

I always find what I need and the prices are fair. The sales staff is usually pushy and lack knowledge some times even misinformed. Do your homework before you go and you should be fine.

Bought a computer - decent price, good quality, great intersctions with the staff except that they charged my card twice. Been calling the store with no luck only holds. Anything else I need I'll shop Amazon and avoid Microcenter's poorly staffed check-out lines.

It's no Fry's, and it often costs considerably more than mail-order for non-sale items, but it has a quite good selection of hardware, and sometimes you just can't wait the couple of days that ordering off the Internet would take.

I do wish they'd just pay their workers a loving wage and get rid of the commission system they have in place. It makes for a stilted dynamic at best, and a slimy car dealership atmosphere at worst.

Computer components (cards, procedure, etc.) Is their strongest point. Networking hardware is their weakest point; nothing worth running even in an SMB situation. They have a moderately good hobby electronics section: competitive prices, but you're not going to be buying diodes or oscilloscopes here. Good place for Raspberry Pi stuff.

Love this place. Where can you go IN PERSON, for a drone, keyboard, CPU, Soldering iron, capacitor, usb cable, TV, apple device, you name it. Every component to build a PC, right down to the capacitor that almost blew in my TV which caused it to stop turning on. Employees are wicked nice especially the girl that helped me and told me about her bike accident- her eyes were amazing. Micro Center rocks.

This microcenter is more than an hour away from me, yet i shop here about once a month. That is how excellent this store is! Its probably going to take a while to list all of the reasons i will never buy pc hardware anywhere else again, so here goes!
-Competitive pricing! Their prices are always at least in range of other major retailers like best buy, newegg, and amazon. it varies from day to day and product to product a bit. sometimes microcenter is cheaper, sometimes its a bit more. however, since they are so great with price matching, savvy shoppers will always get the best price here!
-Knowledgeable and friendly staff on site! I am personally a pretty experienced builder, so for me it's nice talking to staff who actually understand what i am looking for and can even occasionally make a smart recommendation as well. For new builders, this is even better. You absolutely can just lean on the sales reps to help you put a good pc together at the price you want with the features and performance you want and know they will send you out with the right parts for a great first build. Their technical support staff is also on site and have been great with processing returns quickly and efficiently. which brings me to my next point
-Fantastic tech support/warranty support! I have built a few pcs for friends at this point with parts from here, and have purchased their replacement warranty on all of the major components each time. This paid off when we had the misfortune of getting a bad gpu, as the replacement was absolutely painless. Not only did we get it replaced immediately over the counter, we were able to choose a different model since our confidence was shaken in the other brand, and actually got a few bucks back in refund! Not only that, but we were able to return a still functional mother board that wasnt properly supporting a r7 3700x despite the manufacturer site listing support on that board and use the money back to swap to a x570 board. Their warranty makes me feel safer as a consumer than any other company i have dealt with. I absolutely recommend it! On top of all of this, the tech support staff is super knowledgeable! I was able to explain the issue to them very briefly both times and they knew exactly what i meant and helped me resolve the issue. Based on that, I am confident they could help a less experienced user troubleshoot any issues they may have with hardware purchased there.
Very well organized store! Despite having an overwhelming amount of choices for just about every piece of hardware, peripheral, adapter, fitting, etc imaginable, the store layout is very smart and makes it easy to find what you need pretty easily if you know what you are looking for. Of course, if all the staff isnt busy helping other customers, you can usually count on somebody coming up to help you get everything together as well.
-Buy and build your pc in one day! Perhaps the best part of the microcenter experience is it only taking a single day to get your new pc together. Personally, the anticipation of waiting for parts to arrive kills me, and doing it all in one day that i can be actively involved in is far preferable to me.

All together, these things make the one hour plus drive a no brainer to me. If there was any con i could list, it would be that there isnt a microcenter in every city like Best Buy! I would love a providence or Bald Hill Road location, but until then, this is my only stop for computer hardware!

Now that the closest RadioShack is 30 miles away, this is the place to go for electronics parts and tools! Some of the reviews I read ding to them for not having Raspberry Pi stuff, but there was plenty there today.

It's the only place I've seen in the city that still carries the energy drink Bawls. Outside of that they push their loyalty program and sales too hard, for a business that's rapidly moving online.

A big shout out to Israel. His pleasant manner and wealth of information was evident when he patiently let us learn about the monitors that we hoped to purchase. Mission successful! Thanks from Phil and Greg

Knowledgeable staff about a plethora of electronics. They have everything you would need to construct a computer, maintain it, and upgrade it. Lots of options for off the shelf computers and laptops. Many computer monitors and televisions. If it came down to it Johnny Five could probably repair himself with the maker DIY selections. Definitely check this place out of you're in the market for anything tech. Well worth the drive into the city.

Friendly and knowlegable staff, however the return process is awful and a fraud, failing to honor their own return policies. They pushed a warantee program on me and then didn't honor it. When my $750 equipment broke, they wouldn't exchange for like kind item, but rather wanted to charge me an additional $750 since they were out of stock of my exact model and prices have doubled since I purchased. Even though the price of my model had doubled as well. There is no doubt that there are like kind models.

Neatly organized by equipment type and the professionals are always active, moving around and asking in a proper manner if they can help with any questions or directions. No pressure and genuine guest service.
