We have just came home from a wonderful three night vacation at Zabriskie House of the Inns of Aurora. We stayed in Rm 3. The room was nicely decorated, clean and very comfortable. The bed was super comfortable. The service was impeccable - special thanks to Katie and Elena!!

Experienced the inn for the first time at a friend's wedding and loved it. I'm interested in returning for a personal stay. The staff were very personable, the grounds are beautiful and the location is perfect. Can't wait to go back.

Wife and I visited Sunday evening for dinner. Based on the rave reviews we were disappointed in our experience, since we had driven 60 miles to get there. The host was very friendly and helpful . The food was generally well prepared with several exceptions that one would never expect to happen. First the soup, which was very good, arrived before the liver pate, seemed a little strange. The soup was not hot, always a bad sign. Dinner was prepared and tasted very good. I would have preferred my duck breasts to have been sliced rather that two breasts. My wife's pot roast was very good. My wife ordered a cup of coffee after dinner, it came warm, not hot, the server brought a fresh cup. My wife and I were going to split a "HOT FUDGE" sundae the fudge was like sludge, NOT HOT, NOT WARM, room temperature. We were not charged for the ice cream sundae.

I have not written the place off but will give it another chance, could have been an off day. First impressions are lasting impressions so they say, you never get a chance to make a second first impression.

We stayed at the Aurora Inn and had an incredable experience!! This was our first visit to the finger lakes and the area has so many things to offer. The Inn was so beautifully decorated and was exceptionally clean!! It rained most of the time we were there but returning after a day of sight seeing we were greeted by a friendly face and an inviting atmosphere!
The staff was amazing and the food was excellent!! We will definately go back again !

Was there for a wedding and the lake view was gorgeous. I didn't stay as a guest but was there to enjoy the festivities. I thought the layout was nice for a wedding. Dance floor in the middle, bar in the back and the dinner was off to the side. Very beautiful

We stayed in E.B. Morgan house. We were greeted by Maddy who took the time to know who we were and the reason for our stay. The inns atmosphere was fantastic. And the inn is full of charm and character. Looking forward to our next stay at the inn

Staff was lovely, room was quirky and had character, but the bed was awful. Finally was able to sleep by spreading all the floppy pillows out on top of the hard mattress.

Looks like lots of great things to do if you are making this a vacation destination, but beware unless you like really hard beds.

I attended a bachelorette party at the Inns at Aurora. There were 22 of us and we stayed at the Rowland's House. The rooms were very accommodating and the staff was fantastic. It was a great experience to have the whole house to ourselves. The views of the lake were fantastic and the town was adorable.

We could not rave more about our stay at the Aurora! Beautiful property that is equal parts historical and modern. Each of the inns had their own charm. We especially loved the daily activities and amenities (walking tour, fitness classes, wine tasting, fire pits) as great opportunities for filling time in between other adventures around the Finger Lakes. Take note, Aurora is a veryyy small town with not much in it so don t expect to come here and make a full trip out of Aurora alone. You ll find the Inns dining room (great breakfast!) and The Fargo (also delicious) as the main dining options in town. Lastly, shout out to the Aurora staff members, Dale and Gerri, for making our stay the best it could be!

On a whim, stopped by. Restaurant opened Wednesday at 5 pm. Seated immediately. Server / Brandon provided great service. We shared the empanada appetizer and the steak entree, and both was delicious.

Was there for recent Parents Weekend at Wells College. Great service, fantastic atmosphere. Food was good and service in dining area was great but only had breakfast at the Inn. TV in room was a little small. Room was a little pricey but overall, a good value for the cost. Highly recommend a stay for a relaxing visit.

Fantastic venue for a wedding! Out on the beautiful lawn on the lakefront with the charming old foundation of a former outuilding adding character to the place. Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the area.

We stayed at the Wallcourt, which is part of the Inns of Aurora, but spent some time at the Aurora Inn too, using the kayaks in the lake and walking around the property. The Inn and the property are really beautiful and the staff was very friendly.

We are at a professional event in the lakeview room downstairs. Cash bar and mediocre finger food for two and a half hours cost us $900. Service was also sub par considering. Our bartender was constantly leaving the bar for unknown reasons, and often using her phone. I about this place is very beautiful but will try to keep my organization from doing any further events here.

What a homely atmosphere coupled with a smidgen of class! The location is overlooking the lake. Inside, the restaurant you may construe as posh dining, however the dress code is very lax. Shorts and a polo are good enough! The service was attentive and expedient! The food was cooked very well and the quantity was sufficient NOT great for the exorbitant price Let's put it this way the price is Manhattan level, definitely, not what you'd expect in the middle of nowhere The squid tentacles were thick and juicy! The wine was absolutely delicious and the rest of the food was cooked to perfection! If you're in the area definitely eat here if you can afford it. There are many cheaper and equally premium dining experiences to be had. Disappointed in the quantity (size) of the food for the price... Definitely will never be going back Bristol Harbor restaurant on Canandaigua Lake is half the price better and better picturesque views for 1/2 the price of Aurora Inn restaurant The quantity and quality of the Executive Chef's preparation at Bristol Harbor restaurant (Golf Club) are without a doubt far superior than this disappointing and UNREASONABLY expensive ($450 for 6 adults and 2 children) meal at Aurora Inn... Oh yeah, the desert were also expensive and very small....

An absolute gem for a Fall getaway. I went with my husband and another couple at the beginning of October and would go back again. It's such a lovely respite from the hustle bustle of the city and we were treated so well. The rooms were beautiful and clean (my only critique would be the uncomfortable pillows in the otherwise very comfortable bed). Our inn keepers were friendly and had excellent suggestions for things to do in the area and there was always fresh coffee, tea, and snacks available, we felt like we were living in a mansion, not a hotel. The food at the restaurants associated with the Inn was excellent. When there was a mix-up in booking for an Oktoberfest dinner at the restuarant, the staff went out of their way to still serve us the entire feast in a private dining session and it was incredible. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I had the opportunity to stay at the Roland House the first week of September, 2015. The accommodations were first rate. The grounds were simply outstanding. The food and wine were a gastronomic experience. Beyond all of this, our innkeeper, Bev, made the experience most pleasant. She made us feel like family coming home to our own private mansion. Her level of hospitality was beyond what could have been expected. I look forward to my next trip to Aurora and my stay at the Rowland House. I recommend the Inn for a most delightful vacation.

We had lunch as part of a wine tour. The food was fine, if lacking in selection (I'm sure this was more a result of the large group we were part of), but the service and atmosphere were lovely. Tammy was so attentive and pleasant.

Amazing service. Was stranded at a winery and Nancy (nicest lady!) personally picked us up! Gorgeous grounds. Beautiful rooms. Loved the bar and dining (pork chop special was delicious). All around - highly recommend.

I think the chef took the night off...service was slow for a slow weeknight and the quality of the food was mediocre. Tenderloin and scallops were good, sides not so much. Risotto was undercooked with no hint of creaminess. Accompanying mushrooms served with my tenderloin were more salted than Syracuse salt potatoes - not edible. Do not order the Swiss Chard Gratin - terrible. We did like the chicken liver pate. Other than the food..good view and decor.

I live very close by and am always impressed by the beauty and hospitality the Inn provides. However I wish the venue was more accessible to locals as I would love to be able to visit more. Unfortunately my budget cannot always allow for it. Still, I've never had a bad experience there, it's a gorgeous place with delicious food, and it is one of my favorite places in town.

What a beautiful place to stay. We were in the Rowland House, one of four properties. We d recommend Room 4. Impeccably furnished. Very quiet. Rene was an exemplary innkeeper, so thoughtful and professional. Wonderful perks included like delicious coffee and treats in the morning, wine and cheese in the evening, bikes to cruise the idyllic village and a great restaurant a short walk down the street. Great views of Cayuga Lake from your room.

Breakfast on the deck was absolutely spectacular. Spent 2 hours with dear friends enjoying the delicious food and the view of the lake. Our favorite stop going from Ithaca to Buffalo. Don't miss it if you are in the Finger Lakes region.

I stayed in Rowland House room 5 for two nights. The room had a king sized bed with a nice bay window facing the lake. The view was very impressive and scenic. The bathrooms had heated floors which was quite needed for the cold days. Rowland House itself was quite beautiful with the main sitting rooms and two fireplaces. The innkeeper, Josh, was attentive and hospitable. There was complimentary wine and cheese each evening to showcase the local wineries and cheese makers.

Was a great place. Was the best customer service. Still has some good people working but not good. Cannot relax there because they make you change rooms every day that you stay. Messed up our bill. Charged wrong price they quoted and made us pay the difference. Never going back.

About the Inns of Aurora

The Inns of Aurora: A Resort Experience Like No Other

Nestled in the heart of the Finger Lakes region, the Inns of Aurora offer a unique resort experience that is sure to leave a lasting impression. With its picturesque location and luxurious accommodations, this charming village is the perfect destination for those seeking relaxation and rejuvenation.

The Inns of Aurora consist of four distinct properties: The Aurora Inn, E.B. Morgan House, Rowland House, and Wallcourt Hall. Each property has its own unique character and charm, but all share a commitment to providing guests with exceptional service and amenities.

The Aurora Inn is perhaps the most well-known property in the group. Originally built in 1833 as a stagecoach stop on the route between Albany and Buffalo, it has been lovingly restored to its former glory. The inn features 10 guest rooms decorated with period furnishings and modern amenities such as flat-screen TVs and Wi-Fi.

E.B. Morgan House is another historic property that has been transformed into an elegant bed-and-breakfast-style inn. Built in 1858 by Edwin Barber Morgan (a prominent businessman who served as governor of New York from 1859-1862), this stately mansion boasts six guest rooms decorated with antiques and fine art.

Rowland House offers a more contemporary take on luxury lodging. This modernist-style home was designed by architect Peter Gluck in 2003 and features five guest rooms with sleek furnishings, private balconies or patios overlooking Cayuga Lake or gardens.

Wallcourt Hall rounds out the collection with three spacious suites located just steps away from The Aurora Inn's main building. These suites are perfect for families or groups traveling together who want more space than traditional hotel rooms can provide.

No matter which property you choose to stay at during your visit to The Inns of Aurora, you'll be treated to exceptional service from start to finish. From complimentary breakfasts featuring locally sourced ingredients to afternoon tea served daily at each inn's parlor room - every detail has been carefully considered so that guests can relax knowing they're being taken care of by attentive staff members who truly care about their comfort.

In addition to luxurious accommodations, The Inns of Aurora also offer plenty of activities for guests looking for adventure or relaxation alike! Take advantage kayaking on Cayuga Lake or hiking nearby trails through scenic gorges; enjoy wine tastings at local vineyards; explore quaint shops galleries within walking distance; indulge yourself spa treatments offered onsite!

Overall if you're looking for an unforgettable getaway experience unlike any other then look no further than The Inns Of Aurora! With its stunning location rich history top-notch amenities there's something here everyone - whether you're seeking romance adventure family fun or simply some much-needed rest & relaxation!
