Most importantly, they're right across the parking lot from Trader Joe's, so, you can do the math on that Cambridge mashup - just don't dent my Subaru.
Beautiful place to shop, you can find almost any thing related to computers and technology. Price is always cheaper even cheaper than Wal-Mart.
I love this place. They have the best open box deals.
They have a great selection of computer components and a very knowledgeable staff
Great selection of tech products and a knowledgeable staff. Best place in the Boston area for DIY.
Waited 15 minutes for someone to sell me a harddrive.
The go-to place for computers, computer parts and accessories. We are so very lucky to have one nearby. Today I was getting embedded hardware for our hive monitors.
Amazing prices, will match most prices from popular websites. Amazing staff that are always super helpful without being over bearing. I've spent thousands here and will probably continue to do so.
Great selections and prices! Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable!
Micro Center offers the most value to those members of the community who interact with others more online than offline. Customer service is sales / commission-driven, which is disappointing. Upon check out, one is always threatened with the reminder, "If you do not give us your address, there can be no returns or exchanges." Large selection, easy parking, okay prices, average snarkiness.
Nice place. Tonnes of hobby electronics merch ranging from robot kits to raspberry pis.
Good computer store. They matching online prices. Shop there all the time.
Decent computer store for cables, interfaces, and peripherals.
I love Micro Center. My sister, dad, and I have been going to this store to buy our PC parts for building our computers for YEARS. Every time we go they always have a helpful, knowledgeable staff that doesn't BS you. They will always try to get you the most bang for your buck, and help you figure out what makes or models are the best for your PC needs (whether it be gaming, streaming, work, etc). The best part is that they when they do this, they never pressure you into buying anything you don't want to, and it's always ultimately your decision. It's a great place (in my opinion) for folks who like to build their PCs or get upgrade parts.
This is the "All-in-One" electronics store. Great staff .
Really good selection of both computers and parts, but the staff kind of hovers to get commission on what you buy.
I am so happy that a place like Microcenter still exists. I hope they never go out of business because there is always such an array of products that they stock that we need sometimes that stores just don't sell anymore. They even have an ant farm kit in there! So amazing! Definitely recommend stopping by for any electronic needs. Staff is great!
It was okay Alex Depeiza was very helpful. But another sales rep sold me a icore 7 and with it a 2 year warranty for it and charge me 30 dollars when I did not need it at all the icore 7 already had a 3 year warranty on it so I was very upset that they charge 30 dollars.
Love this place.
Few goto guys (Michael, modems) have helped me decide by education, explanation and suggestion.
I'm in and out in 10 minutes with confidence of purchase.
Always near wholesale prices and always sucked with the latest and greatest tech. From Corsair & Asus to HP & Apple, all tech is equal here.
I've been coming here for years. Great selection at decent prices with friendly staff.
Best tech store, and one of the few remaining... it feels great to see all these components on store shelves! The employees are always super helpful, helping you spec out everything. Overall a great store!
This is the Mecca for anyone interested in computers or gaming electronics. Must go for anyone looking to build their own PC or interested in electronics.
Why even post a phone number when NO ONE answers and after ringing for 2 minutes it drops the call.
I should read these reviews before buying 2 Lenovo computers over the weekend. Neither laptop works and they are brand new. My old Gateway which is ten years old loads faster than both of these. Can't wait for Saturday when I can go and return these and be done. Tried to email my salesperson Patrick who has yet to respond to my emails....nice customer service. Way to make a customer feel like if you have any problems you are there to answer them but then don't respond.
awful service experience, I think I woke up this guy in the service and repair place. Did not answer my questions and treated me like I know nothing and he knows it all.
Was pretty sad to see someone that works there recommended a product that was far worse then the product they had in hand. Simply bc it was 5 dollars more so they would get get a little more commission. Please knowledge yourself before going, taking advantage of someone because the simply don t have the knowledge is just bad practice.
Everywhere except the build-a-pc section is great. Venture to that section and you will be met with vulture-like employees whose sole mission is to up sell anything you want to buy and their knowledge doesn't go beyond reading the product tag.
I'm a long time IT Professional and computer/electronics hobbyist, and customer of Microcenter. It is hands down, my favourite place to shop. It is my 172.0.0.1 (My second home :-) . From capacitors and diodes, to gaming systems, to curved ULED 4k HD tv's, Microcenter has everything you'd need to bring out the nerd in us all.
I had a very good experience with Micro Center for 4 years. I bought 2 laptops at micro center when i studied at Columbus, Ohio. When I moved to Boston this month, my friend asked me to help him build a PC for Gaming. I thought that I did not know Boston at all, but I would check if Boston has Micro Center or not. Fortunately, we found the Micro Center not far away from our home and we build the PC here.
To begin with, I had some experiences of assembling PC, and my friend had none:D. So as you can imagine, we went into a LOT of troubles.
Firstly, I suggested him buying an Acer desktop and put an video card on it. However, when we bought them back, our GTX 1070 could not fit in the desktop. So we returned the Acer Desktop including the 2-year Micro Center warranty (That is really awesome) and got all the money back. So I told my friend that we should build the PC. They give u really good discounts when you build the whole PC(or at least CPU & Motherboard). The staffs are there really want to help you and save your budget.
We had many problems with our first time PC building. For example, we returned a motherboard which does not work, and we were having a hard time trying to connect the monitor to the video card. (The gtx1070 only has display ports, HDMI ports, and DVI-D ...not DVI-I ports!!! T_T). However, every time we went back to the Micro Center to return something and trying to get one that fits, the staffs were really friendly to help us. The customer return service center did a very efficient way of giving you the refund; the advising staffs and the cashiers will give you a lot of good advices! ( They are really skilled and they wont fool customers who know little about PCs. )
Now my friend is playing happily with his new PC and we really appreciate your help and friendly service, Micro Center!
Everything you could ask for in an electronics store. Every single time I am amazed by how helpful and knowleadable the associates are.
Like a candy store for nerds. Staff is knowledgeable as well.
Awesome store with a huge section of anything computers or computer related.
Great variety for home or business needs. Service was quick and friendly.
The manager Mike Frank was awesome and went out of his way to solve my PC issues!!
Great computer store would really recommend to anyone in need of a monitor, tv, pcs, pc parts, laptops and many other gadgets.
Awesome place for any aspiring PC builders. Got most of my parts here
Why can I never find the phone number for this place?
What Best Buy wishes it could be and with prices as cheap if not cheaper than Amazon.
Great place for electronic supplies and tools, computers etc
Best computer store in the state, most competitive prices and highly knowledgeable staff make for a great shopping experience.
Great value, knowledgeable employees! Mark M. helped me upgrade my 10 year old PC!
FYI they don t service speakers or monitors..
Super specials ... and the employee died attentively
They need to buy a new phone. When I finally reached an associate and asked why the phone would disconnect me the gentleman on the phone told me the phone was broken. This feels like poor management to me. Why would you let a phone stay broken for so long.. and Ive only been dealing with them for less then a week.
A truely wonderful experience...the salesperson that helped me was amazing!!!!
Probably the worst store to go to. Not their fault there's no self control tho.
Attentive salesman, reasonable prices, good selection
employees are very rude and most of the px parts are overpriced
I attended free software workshop and ended up having a private class, possibly due to snow.
A large amount of computer and television tech to peruse.
What is not to like? Experienced sales people and a great selection. If you are a hardware geek it is like you died and went to heaven, but all the angels are dudes.
AMAZING STORE! This has to be one of the only good tech centers left around the area. You can find everything you need here. I went for 3d filament and they had some great choices.
Wide variety of technology at reasonable prices on the shelf.
This is the place to go to get all computer needs.. plus its staffed by computers wizards... what could be better!!!
Amazing place if you love computers, games, hardware, and all arround electronics. The staff are really nice and are computer people themselves. They are very knowledgeable with a high level of understanding In Their departments. The store also has a lot of good deals for open box, sales, or budget items.
Super helpful staff, great stock of PC parts including hard to find (in retail) components. Great pricing and there is a Starbucks just across the parking lot
Has an excellent electronics section, carries the Raspberry Pi Zero as well as a large selection of Arduino, Adafruit, BeagleBone, RaspPi, and other such dev boards, soldering irons and wire and such, as well as some robotic kits. Only thing it's really missing is simple components or ICs, though it has a small amount.
Great deals and local pickup. The go to spot for hardware.
Awesome prices. Great cashiers that get you out FAST!
Great products but the service team for repair isnt too helpful, and they charge a bunch
I purchased an Arris model SVG2428AC modem from Micro Center in the spring just before the pandemic lockdown. It came with a large sticker on the box advertising it was rated for Xfinity 1 Gig service. Soon thereafter I began to have issues with my internet. I was constantly loosing my signal at home and needed to power down my modem and restart it. This had happened occasionally before I purchased this new modem and so I wrote it off as more of the same. This problem was on going and annoying to the point I called Xfinity numerous times for some resolution. After repeated calls I got a representative who diagnosed the problem. The modem was NOT 1 GIG rated by Xfinity and would continue to crash. My wife urged me not to go back to the store due to COVID-19 but I finally did and they could only say sorry but you have had it too long and there is nothing they can do. This was misrepresented at the time of purchase and I only chose that modem because of the representation that it would work with my 1 Gig service. I have been a customer at Micro Center for decades and have given them many thousands of dollars of business but no more
Bought an open box laptop from here and it wasn't factory reset prior to resale (good to know they take their customers' data privacy seriously). Then proceeded to wait on hold for an hour trying to reach their customer service with no luck.
Hey guys, one star to customer servicie . Five-5 stars to Mr Nupanduki for his advise when we bought a new computer.
The service I was provided was absolutely wonderful! I was directed to a model of Desktop that fit every specification I wanted and then a little extra, as well as having money left over in the budget for peripherals. The salesmen are very nice, attentive, and answer questions with direct responses. The store layout is nice and aesthetically pleasing. Overall, a wonderful experience.
