It's above average of many places that I've visited.

Feels like a resort. Not what I expected, but a very welcomed surprise.

The resort has great landscaping and fun things to do. Three pools, giant chess board, shuffleboard, and horseshoes. Steps away from the bay with plenty of watersports to participate in. Great location and great resort.

Lots of resort amenities, including free 9 hole golf course, bike rentals, yoga classes, shuffleboard.

Enjoyed my stay, but was here on business for only a couple nights, so I didn t spend much time on site.

Good:
-Nice grounds
-Service is friendly
-Food is decent
-Fitness Center has plenty of machines

Bad:
-Rooms are plain and dated
-Turn down service isn t very good; didn t pickup or replace towels, didn t replace shampoo/soap, didn t replace drinking glasses
-When I got to my room the first night, there was the previous guests room service platter outside my door (and two other doors in my hallway) and they all were there when I checked out, two days later
-First morning I woke up and worked out I was impressed by the cleanliness and accommodations of the fitness center. Second morning it had trash in it, no towels, and no wipes for the machines

Bottom line: I like the facility as a whole, but considering how expensive this place is I wouldn t stay here again as some basic things for guest comfort and hotel cleanliness weren t met. If you re here on business, it s not worth the cost.

We have always enjoyed our stays but one time our room was rather musty. We enjoy the proximity to Balboa Island.

$84 for a salad (excellent) and incorrectly made hamburger from room service. Night staff hasn't a clue and the valet parking guys are extremely rude.

Beautiful hotel. Great decor. Staff is very processional. The guests are upper middle class thus a calm and pleasant ambulance.

Wonderful resort ! Clean and plenty to do here . My kids loved the pool and we enjoyed our stay. Valet parking was exceptional.

Is the first time I go to a Hyatt Regency hotel and I have real plague problems with animals, the room was full of ants everywhere, beds, tables, bathroom (show in the photos) ....... I do not understand how they do not spray, the only thing they offered us is not charging us the valet parking (which On the other hand, there is no free parking at the hotel, either with valet or by your own).

Even the receptionist came to say that in all Newport Beach is impossible to park for free and the next day, shopping at the Newport Center (5 min.) You can park without paying as much time as you want, I do not say it is comfortable to leave it there to go to the hotel, but is one more lie of the treatment we receive there.

The receptionist even told us that you could park for free anywhere in the city and the next day of shopping at the Newport Center (5 min away) you can park without paying for as long as you want, which is not to say that it is comfortable to leave it there if you are staying, but if one more lie about the treatment we received.

Currently in our 3rd room due to air conditioning leaks. No where else to relocate any longer. Terrible experience.

Pools, golf, tennis, good restaurant, great views. Add to that large and clean rooms and great service. What more can you ask for!

older property but kept up well..got ot love the netflix and other apps available.

Horrible service, had to pay for self parking which was a long walk. Just was not a resort atmosphere.

Beautiful location and easy to get to. Conveniently located close to Fashion Island and many great shops.

I went to the hotel for religious services. Did not stay there.

Aging place, but still well kept and very nice. Conference staff was professional and helpful.

Rooms are OK, nothing special. The doors don't seal with the floor very well, you can see light through the bottom of them which also let's bugs in. The food was actually pretty good though for a wedding.

Stayed over here one evening on a business trip near Fashion Island, great location and layout on this Hyatt, with pool, retail, restaurants all centrally located between the rooms and main building, a resort feel without the same level of sprawl.

Rooms were spacious with balcony access and comfortable amenities, highly recommended for both business and family travel.

A nice location for a pre-wedding reception. A fun waterslide, which I didn't get to try out.

this is truly a resort the grounds are huge with multiple pools water slides an inviting lobby with a fireplace the rooms are fantastic each one with a balcony, sofas large bathrooms you name it
Some of the services can be on the pricey side but you are so close to so much shopping and the beach you don't have to rely on the resort for everything

Great place. Very friendly staff. Shuttle bus to the airport and a few other places. Room was nice.

Fun place to be, beautiful surroundings and friendly personnel. Recently here for the High Hopes benefit concert for Traumatic Brain Injury. Silent and live bidding during the event with Eric Marienthal, Johnny Mathis, Big Phat Band sharing and volunteering their talent and time to help the Noble cause. It was a blast!!

Nice meeting space. Self Park is far and out of the way from the lobby.

Nice location and beautiful hotel grounds. Didn't get a chance to play a round of golf but the course looks nice. Only gripe is the room had a slightly musty smell.

I had an enjoyable time here. Virtually all staff and concierge was very helpful. The ambiance throughout in the main court where the restaurant was was good especially at night. The Calamari, food, and drinks were great. They like to charge to your room more than your card and things can get confusing sometimes, so be weary. The fitness center is ok, but not very spacious. There's a good amount of treadmills and some free-weights for you (dumbbells). The pool seems kid friendly with a slide. It's definitely pet friendly which I think is thoughtful. Very pleasant time here. Thanks.

This hotel is very beautiful! Great view, great location, and very nice property. There was some opportunity regarding the staff, and service. Other than that it would have been 5 stars. However, for the price you d expect a little better service. I reserved a fire pit, and the allotted time is 40 minutes. We asked where to find the fire pit that was reserved, and they told us to just walk out to the left and walk straight down. We passed a fire pit that was already taken. We had to call and ask which fire pit was reserved, and they gave us more specific directions. The fire pit has a small sign behind the seating area that had no name, and was hardly visible. We had ordered chips and salsa to be delivered with 1 mixed drink and the s mores kit as soon as we arrived to the fire pit. The s mores kit did not come out until our time was over. I asked if they could deliver it sooner, and did not get a reply. Once my time was over I asked to cancel the s mores kit since it s prepackaged and they said it was already on the way. Some of the staff also seemed rude to some of the other guests. Other than that the hotel was very nice.

Nice people. Very sad, the maids took my sons blanket....still hoping they find it. Expensive parking.

Went to the Hyatt for a seminar, easy to get to and a nice facility to have this kind of activity. And the finger food served was pretty good too.

If you want to pay for a Hilton and recieve the world class service you have come too expert from a Motel 6 than this is the place for you. They checked me in two hours late, the air conditioner never seemed to work properly and the only thing they do in a timely fashion is chase you out of the hot tub and have someone show up to tell you that you can eat outside food or drink on their veranda (a bag of fruit).

I strongly recommend that you take your business elsewhere

I forgot to mention you can hear everything through these walls, just like a motel 6. Neighbors shower sounds like it s in our room. And 24 percent added gratuity on room charge is a bit shocking.

Staff is very nice, but the hotel is extremely worn and dated.

Nice old school Hotel, and the price was right. The rooms had been recently remodeled, very clean! Right next to Fashion Island oh, so that's a plus.

Amazing grounds/buildings: a pleasant maze of pools, fountains, walkways, etc. Very friendly and helpful staff, great room (though standard, it was large, with a beautiful view of the bay). Very pleased with my stay there!

For a conference it is OK. As a hotel, what a dump. If the outside condition looks like a Motel6, guess what the inside is going to be like. I didn't stay in the rooms but I walked past a lot of them to the smaller conference rooms. I certainly do not plan to try one. Check Yelp before you fork out premium dollars for bargain service.
