Lovely meeting areas and nice setting. I liked that the connections between buildings were all outdoor although it could present a challenge if it's raining or it's cold.

Fantastic hotel. Made my business trip a pleasure and was always comfortable and close to whatever I needed. Great amenities and location. Staff and cleanliness A++
TRY NOT TO BE STOLEN!
In addition to daily racial discrimination, the hotel charged me twice, that is, rather than pay for 2 nights, paid for 4. It's been a week trying to solve ir and clearly I will not have my money back, as the attendants hang up the phone as I speak or can't or don't want to help.
I was literally robbed of more than $ 1,500 USD !!!!!!!!
Not recommended, do not ruin your holiday or your stay chosing this hotel. Book a simpler, but honest one.
Parking isn't free, restaurant is way expensive. I get it, it's Newport. Hyatt assumes I'm loaded, the idea of parking and walking from my Lamborghini is unthinkable. Why not three options: Park it yourself at $6 for the first hour, and $2 for each our after, valet for $20 flat, or park for free at fashion island and walk from your Lambo to your room. It doesn't add an air of class, it doesn't make me feel special, it's just milking guests. One extra star for being quick with the water at the restaurant.
Beautiful, up scale. .enjoyed a nice concert there for their summer concert series
Went to a wedding reception here, saw some of the rooms and they were great, the poolside area is a lot of fun and overall a very pretty area
Kristina, Jessica, Jennifer were thee best! Boney James concert was cancelled due to lightning rain storm (10/12/18) but my stay was absolutely superb. Waiter at Shor was super cool, served up 2 lobster mac and cheese with more lobster than mac! Thank you Hyatt staff!
Was there during some tennis event. Was fairly nuts. Spacious grounds that are well maintained. Rooms are average, staff was friendly
Great place friendly employees rooms were very clean
Was down in Newport Beach celebrating Thanksgiving and stayed at the Hyatt Regency. With multiple pools an exercise room, getting in some exercise is made easy. Nice and clean with good amenities, you can't ask for more from a hotel.
Kids had a blast and staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Very nice and friendly employees and the hotel is beautiful.
Catastrophic for a 4 star hotel! Not Hyatt standart, very loud! badly isolated, permanent air traffic from 07.00 clock.
When you need to relax and you ready to get away from it all and find yourself in deep box and deep sleep great place
I've been to other hotels before in the area but Hyatt was one of the best I've been to. The rooms were comfortable, the guest service was excellent, and the shopping and all that- it's so great I can't explain it.
What a beautiful place to stay if you are visiting.
The worst Hyatt property
Worn out rooms.
Air conditioning sounded like an airplane taking off.
Ant infested bathroom, bedroom.
Wet, moldy carpeting in hallways.
Desk staff acknowledged and promised to have it fixed
They bent over backwards for me before I even stepped a foot on property. Impressive.
We attended a concert and were running late and parking was very limited. When I explained that my girlfriend had just recently had knee replacement surgery and walking was difficult for her the valets became very accomodating and helped make our evening a very enjoyable event.
Amazing hotel with valet and stunning views from all rooms there are many things you are able to do, the pool is also heated and the jacoze is great for relaxing this is a gorgeous place 10/10 would recommend it is also a dog and kid friendly hotel.
Nice property, good location. The resort fee actually covers a lot of things so valuable.
Simply a wonderful property. Staying at this hotel is a true pleasure. Beautiful, relaxing, classy, and most of all - they make you feel like you belong there. We walked into Balboa Island in the morning and I'm sure God was with us enjoying every step. This is my pick for the best Hyatt hotel in our wonderful country. Plan a visit - I promise, you will not be disappointed. The quality staff will make you very happy. This place makes you forget the awful traffic around LA. Enjoy.
Great, but very expensive and the staff are some strange characters.
READ BEFORE BOOKING!
FIRST.
Advertised rate, is not advertised rate.
$189USD a night plus $56 taxes, plus $30.51 Resort fee. Total $275.51USD per night.
SECOND.
Car parking is over 500m away from accommodation, plus you pay $27 USD a night.
Would be cheaper to park your car in town and Uber back and forth.
THIRD.
If you do book here, make sure you get a second, third level room. Unless you enjoy elephants walking around in the room above you and hallways.
FOURTH.
Staff walking around outside talking and wheeling trolleys at 6am in the morning.
FIFTH.
Great location.
SIXTH.
Told reception about complaints.. response.. "Sorry to hear, thank you for staying. Have a safe flight".
That's it?
Very clean and great service. Quiet and good food and drinks. Staff was helpful and kind.
Pools are great only a couple of eating options around. ok location
The parking is far from rooms. There's no microwave. Beds we fulls, not queens. Not enough towels in room. Bathroom doors didn't lock or shut. Grounds are opulent. Staff is nice. Second time staying 2 rooms.
This place isn't a hotel. It's a resort with carefully manicured grounds, 3 swimming pools (1 with a water slde). The people there are very nice. My wife and I were transported to a tropical vacation resort at this place; it felt like we were in Hawaii. Free wifi and nice rooms. I can't wait to go back and stay there again.
Very lovely experience. Nice to see a dog/pet friendly hotel too! Lots of spots to enjoy outside, many fire pits. Pools were calm and enjoyable.
Nice facility, parking is pricy ($25 a night). Tends to be quiet and relaxed near the rooms. Nice pool area.
The Hyatt Regency Newport Beach was lovely but not perfect. They picked me up at the airport in the shuttle, which was great. The grounds are lovely and the place has a great feel. I had a meal at the bar and the food and service were fantastic. So why only 4 stars, the rooms are way too loud. Sound came in from other rooms and the hallway. Everything else about the room was stylish/lovely though. Wish I had a chance to hit the pool or the golf course, but maybe next time (I'll bring ear plugs).
It s amazing resort and the price was good but the resturant was too expensive
This place is amazing island style area, I liked the stay here alot, the staff was nice, nice rooms, beautiful area
Very nice location in Newport. Rates were pretty reasonable, parking is either self park or valet, self park will require a walk up quite a few stairs so something to keep in mind. I believe the daily rate for self parking was $27. The room we rented for our meeting was very nice and located near the lobby, we had catered food which wasn't bad at all. Plenty of snacks and a large variety of beverages were available as well. Will definitely return to this location in the future.
Nice features with many amenities, a large variety of which are included in the resort fee. The rooms are very comfortable and large. Good shopping nearby and very close to Newport Beach. Somewhat confusing layout at first, so be sure to ask for hotel map and instructions.
Great location, great price, rooms are well kept, staff was very hospitable, would definitely stay here again
Loved the front desk, staff, decor, environment. Lets be honest though 350.00 in incendentals or a 30 dollar buffet is a bit ridoculous. The salad at 23.00
Hotel did a great job of hosting an in person event. Congrats to the channel company
Anytime i go to Newport Beach I stay at tyke Hyatt. Vey clean and very friendly Syosset. Love it here. Beds are also super comfortable!!!
Nice accommodations, great location. Some amenities are clearly dated, but the hotel has made some updates as well.
This hotel was very nice. Would have been 5 stars but because my tub/shower had hair in it I guess from the last people. Besides that everything else was fine.
We just checked in. Our room does not sleep 4 people. Staff are very courteous and nice. However this place is full of white trash. Holding seats all day at the pool bringing in their own food and alcohol and then leaving the piles of garbage by the pool for the staff to clean up. It s disgraceful. Do not stay here. I m already very dissapointed.
I can here for a marketing event and the staff was supper nice and helpful. We had breakfast and lunch here provided by the hotel and it was delicious. Would definitely love to come back for pleasure.
I've stayed here a number of times over the years and a few things remain constant: the staff is very friendly, the grounds are well kept and the rooms are TERRIBLY LOUD. On all sides of us this visit, we can hear our neighbors clearly. From casual conversations at 5AM, to loud sex all night long, to families running up and down the hallway early in the morning talking to each other and slamming doors.
The property looks as though it may have originally been three separate hotels (including Lido that looks like a motel) that were merged under one brand.
Despite having high status with Hyatt, they have yet to place me in a room that impresses. It just seems like fundamentally the hotel was built without insulation or noise considerations at all.
It's amazing, given the incredible amount of competitors within one mile, they don't try harder here.
Hey Hyatt: white noise machines are VERY cheap and can solve a lot of these problems.
Very nice atmosphere great people...Boney James was awesome enjoyed the food!
1. I booked for bayview room. When I arrived they said they didn t have it available til next day. Never got a call to view it.
2. Booked double beds for 4 guests. The room and beds given was for 3.
3. Only had 3 towels which is how I know we were given wrong room.
4. No food credit, parking credit or anything was given for the lack of integrity and professionalism.
5. Pool and beds were full capacity. We Lounged on grass but Caucasian family who came 2 hours later looking for beds were escorted to a non reserved bed with towels by pool manager. Not cool.
Thankfully we were only there to be closer to Newport dunes otherwise would not recommend at all for the inconveniences and disrespect for less than 48hours there.
Room was decent, clean. Would have liked to have known about free golf and bike rental upon checkin.
Alright. Good location and perfectly comfy, but rooms are a bit older and the resort overall could use a bit of a spruce up. The non-resort Hyatt Regency up the road near the airport actually has better and more modern rooms. This place has some resort advantages ('free' golf clubs and bikes - paid for via a daily resort fee, of course), but isn't anything spectacular.
In all my stays at hotel establishment, this one would be ranked at the lowest!!!! For our 'ANNIVERSARY' my husband decided to take a short get away from home. Upon arriving at our room we could see that the room we had been given was subpar. We specifically requested special bedding and pillows due to our son's allergies. Which was accommodated. But, Not only were the baseboards dirty, there were visible stains on the ceiling and the bathroom floor, but there was sheet rock missing around one of the plug outlets. I recleaned the tub as best I could to give my 5 year old son a warm bath due to a potty accident that he had. My son found two long strains of blonde hair floating in his water. There were spider webs with visible spiders above our bed. The vent for the A/C was partially unscrewed with debris and dust. When we went down and explained this to management, the option was for another subpar room with a view that pArtially overlooked the bay, but right above the roof with visible pipe exposure from the bottom roof. There was no Central A/C in the proposed replacement room, but more so a A/C unit which is like canned air and not good for a child with allergies. So they finally agreed to upgrade us to a suite for our next night stay as they were fully committed the first night. Ok, we thought we could survive until the next day, but was told that our upgraded room wouldn't be available until 5pm the next day!!!!!! The night before our checkout on the next morning. The Hyatt Regency has many rooms and sits on a resort style terrain. So why on a Sunday when most guest are checking out, are there no other suite style rooms available to us until that evening!!!!! When our guest attendant at check in told us that they would be going down to 50% occupancy on Sunday. Our guest attendant also told us that there were a few rooms with other flooring besides carpet which we asked for because of our son's allergies. When I spoke to the hotel manager, she said that there were only carpet flooring through out all the rooms. ????
Now let's switch to Sunday morning when I called down to see if possible to move into our room earlier than 5pm that day. I was left on hold and eventually hung up and no one called to say anything. Needless to say we were not moved until 5pm that evening while we were out for dinner. Upon arriving to our 'upgraded suite' I start to pull the let out bed from the living room couch and there are crumbs and debris and a hair clip on it. I didn't even bother to pull the bed out because I was not going to allow my son to sleep on that. Further to that I see under the couch looks like it hasn't been vacuumed in I don't know when. There are playing cards under the couch, a Dorito chip and more debris!!!!!! Are you serious!!!! I decide to entertain myself and push the t.v. back and there is a think layer of dirt under it. I called management and instead of her pre checking the room before we moved into it, she tells me that she escalated the room to the head of housekeeping and that they were supposed to check it!!!!! I got apology after apology and our room comped for one night!!!! I had to ask for housekeeping to come and re-vacuum the floor lifting the couch to get all the debris. Now common sense would tell anyone that a guest that had issues with the first room should be held in higher priority especially when you mention that there is medical concerns!!!! Not to mention that we told the staff upon our arrival and them asking the occasion, that it was our anniversary weekend. When woke up this morning, in the same room where my son was sleeping we found two huge spiders and webs. Shame on the housekeeping and its management!!! Just shameful.
There are a few other things that I will spare details on as I have given enough time and energy this far. We will not return to the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach and we will certainly rethink staying at any future Hyatts.
Decent room, looks like has been recently.refurbished but very smart and tidy. Pools.look good and service in checking was excellent.
Edited down to two stars, used the bar three or four times now and the same two servers are amazingly rude. It appears unless you are American they are not interested.
Had a nice birthday celebration dinner here with my family. Food was good but a little overpriced.
Great place to stay! Nice and clean. Great having a shuttle service available!
We had our office holiday party here, and the venue was quite nice. The pool area had a lot of cool amenities, like a water slide and ping pong table, which was a nice surprise. The hotel staff was very friendly and accomadating.
Nice yet dated rooms. Location is nice and offers nice views to the nearby man-made bay.
Super nice place. Aged but in good condition. Great amenities, golf course and the such. When we were there 10/15/18 they had live entertainment in the lounge....nice bar.
My family recently stayed at the Hyatt Newport Beach and give the hotel, food and service a 5 out of 5 star review! Hats off to Norm, Assistant Manager, for taking exceptional care of us. That s what customer service is all about!
Everything you can expect from a Hyatt Regency property: luxurious accomodations accompanied with excellent service. But too me it lacks soul. Maybe that is because I am a French-born Midwesterner and California for us is still "La-La land". Hated the daily $25 resort fee as we did not use pool nor golf course. Should have booked somewhere else but found slim pickings in the area we needed to be in. Also hated the $20 daily parking fee. Come on!
Room was very dirty. Carpet floors in room made our feet dirty when we walked around bare foot. The bathroom sink didn t drain. Staff at the pool was hard to find. It was okay, but I won t be back. The whole place needs updating and honestly just a good thorough cleaning. The best part of the property is the location to Newport Beach. Nothing much else to recommend about it.
Very pretty hotel and location. Rooms are clean and we had a beautiful view of the golf course. The pool was also nice and heated.
Used the pool and gym for a day. Overall less maintained than most similarly rated hotels. Nice pools, horrible service. They did not have enough servers for a resort pool on a summer Saturday. Food was great.
