Stayed overnight to attend a concert. Room had a perfect view overlooking the venue. Rooms were beautiful and well kept. The only downside i had was that the coffee maker in the room was incredibly dirty. Didn't seem to have been cleaned for a long time.

Large hotel situated in the central business district and adjacent to the super dome. About a 20 minute walk to the french quarter, riverfront or to the ww2 museum. Nice to be away from the craziness of the french quarter and casinos but close enough to visit those areas.

Amazing stay! Booked a room there because it was a short walk to the Smoothie King Center. Made my stay in New Orleans much easier to navigate than it has been previously. Will definitely book a room here again next time we head down for an event!

The hotel itself was very nice! The Superdome and Smoothie King Arena is within walking distance, so that was a plus for me. I would advise you to use the valet parking service because finding the parking garage can be a challenge. There are 2 hotels in one building as well as office spaces. Pretty confusing at times finding your way around. But overall a great place to stay.

Yes. This place was amazing! I have never been to a hotel of this magnitude that was this efficient. Even as big as it was I never remember getting lost or felt like I couldn't ask someone for help. Not saying there other big conference hotels in Vegas and Orlando did a sub par job. But what I am saying is that Hyatt regency New Orleans did a better job bb.

Attempted to make a hotel reservation at this Hyatt through Travelzoo, and the Hyatt came back telling me there was no reservation on file, yet charged me anyway. I then made another reservation at a different hotel in New Orleans. I tried disputing the charges with my bank to no avail. Travelzoo didn't have a record of the reservation nor did the Hyatt when I called, yet I was charged for services not rendered. Buyer beware. These are not honest people.

I was checked in FLAWLESSLY by a very nice lady by the name of Jackie. She was so accommodating. I had booked a room in advance and she upgraded me out of pure generousity. I spoke with an incredibly professional gentleman named Thomas prior to coming and he set me up with a great view room overlooking the Super Dome. HE WAS INCREDIBLE!. He set me up with room 2502 (which is on the 25th floor). The Super Dome is beautifully lit at night!!!. The hotel is very large! unless you purchase like a suite the rooms are pretty much standard hotel room sizes. Cons: THE POOL is WAY to small for such a huge hotel. There is no breakfast discounts of any kind for the customers. PARKING!!!! If you have a car hear is the deal. DON'T park at the hotel its anywhere from $30bucks to $40bucks per day(depending of valet). right around the corner from the hotel is a public parking lot CONNECTED TO THE HOTEL for $25 per day, HOWEVER if your there over the weekend PARK ON THE STREET ON SUNDAYS!!! because parking is free every Sunday on the street. Some more PROS: you can walk to French quarters its only about a 15/20 minute walk to get to Bourbon Street. There is a taxi stand right in front of the hotel. You also can take the trolley bus ride to French Quarters. THOMAS at the hotel sent a wonderful "Thank You" for staying gift to the room for being a great customer(which was very nice). I would definately stay at the Hyatt again on my next trip to New Orleans.

Rooms are not the most spacious but the essentials are all there and then some. The property itself is amazing and the amenties are great. Location is perfect. Walking distance to major tourist spots but far away enough to enjoy the calmness. Hotel has a few restaurants on site a starbucks, fedex and a 24 hr quick shop.

Our stay at the Hyatt Regency was Outstanding. All the staff, including room service, were polite & courteous, making our trip that much better. Everything from our room, to the lobby, bar and pool area were very well maintained. When traveling back to New Orleans this is the place I will continue to stay. Thank you for the superb experience.

Great hotel! Every night there seemed to be some kind of ball or event going on, so it was fun to watch the eclectic mix of people coming and going. They have a couple of nice bars, and restaurants on site so you don't have to go too far for food/drink if you feel like staying in.
The location is far enough away from the crazy nightlife, but a relatively short walk to a few must see's/do. The hotel is very nicely maintained and clean with friendly staff.

for a 5 Star Hotel, it lacked 5 star class. The shower in the bath with a plastic shower curtain? really? Only a coffee machine in the room? we don't all just drink coffee - where was the milk / creamer? Not to mention how awful the coffee was..... very disappointed. Took a deposit off my card and I am still waiting for the credit... as an Executive Assistant whose manager travels to NOLA often, this is one hotel I am unlikely to place him or our visitors at!!

The elevators are a sight to behold. They are transparent so you see how fast you're going to the 30th floor. There's an outdoor pool with depth of 5 ft max. There's a gym on the 32nd floor. I enjoyed my stay at the Hyatt

Terrible. cold water shower. Extended for an hour on check out as my meeting went long. A half mile walk to get room key re keyed. Toilet lid in my bathroom won't stay up on its on so I could urinate. Elevator key pads not working correctly. Would not stay here again. Food was good and newly remodeled was why I give two stars.

While mechacon, the event I visited was wonderful,...

While mechacon, the event I visited was wonderful, my experience with the customer service and the inconvience from the hotel employees was horrible!
So that everyone staying at this hotel is aware, there is no microwave or refridgerator in the room, nor was there complimentary breakfast.
My main issue is the booking and actual charging. The room was booked under a credit card and upon arriving, I gave a debit card for what I was assured was for incidentals only, as my credit card for payment was on file. The following day, my bank was over drafted and for three days, I have been unable to purchase food or any other neccesities due to this extremely unnecessary mistake. This has caused a great amount of stress as to how soon I will receive my money back and how I will pay rent on time, the late fee I may owe for rent and the over draft fee on my account.
I am more than embarraced that my card decline when making a purchasing and being unable to buy food for 3 days during my stay. I had to resort to asking a friend also staying at the hotel for money to get by.
What bothers me the most was that the hotel assured me that my debit card would only be charged for incidentals and this was their error but there was a lack in apology or ownership of the mistake. I felt that there was no empathy for my finacial hardship they had caused. I was shooed away without any paper proof copy that the issues was going to or is in the process of being handled. I have no faith in the pride this hotel takes in assuring repeat buisness as no step were taken to welcome me back.

This place is great, everything you could possibly need is here. Tips... starbucks in the a.m. on a weekend anyway is beyond busy, the breakfast at the restaurant in the middle gets a long line fast also so skip starbucks and go straight to breakfast. Also at Borgne restaurant get the fish and/or the steak. We will be back.

My friend and I stayed there during the Mechacon Convention. And while the overall place was nice, it was not one of our most pleasant of stays. The initial valet was a little rough with our luggage and tossed my friend's wig, which she wasn't at all pleased with. However, the bellhop inside was very helpful taking our luggage and myself up to our room. However, they did overbook, so instead of a two bedroom we had a king. In addition, they did not have any extra blankets or pillows and my friend is a major blanket hog. Most of the food in the hotel is very expensive including the vending machines where they charged 2.50 per drink

It's good for the cost of the room (convention rates). The service is solid. The building looks great. The rest... well... 1. Design: felt like a rat maze. 2. Trap: Felt like you were almost trapped into highly priced average food selections... difficult to find your way out. 3. Rooms: average at best. 4. Pool: very basic pool. expensive bar. EXTREMELY loud HVAC as your background noise. 5. Upgrades: They keep trying to 'upgrade' you to things that don't really matter... like a 'dome' view etc... it was strange for a luxury property. It wasn't a BAD experience... just so many disappointing issues that were below expectations .

We went to meet friends for drinks during their visit for Jazz Fest and even though it was mid- afternoon the Hyatt was a hive of activity and you met people from all over the world. I entered a large spacious lobby, well decorated with comfortable seating and lighting. Staff was busy meeting any and all guest's needs. We made our way through the lobby to the bar and restaurant to meet our friends. As we entered we were greated warmly by the staff and led to a comfortable booth. The bar was was large and all furnishings were textured in rich, warm colors. The Hyatt has a well stocked bar and a great wine list. The bartender is a mixocologist and made great suggestions for us. There was contemporary music playing in the background but it did not interfere with our conversation. We had a lovely visit and made our plans for Jazz Fest. The staff we encountered were all knowledgeable and helpful.

If you are planning a trip to New Orleans I would highly recommend staying here! I went with a group of friends and it was our first time to the city. The staff went above and beyond and the amenities are great. Easy access for Ubers as well as a Starbucks and great restaurants. Room was clean and comfortable. Worth every penny!

Nice hotel at first glance. Then you get into the details: first, while normal hotels hold a card on file for incidentals, this one charges you from day one (guilty until proven innocent). I am still waiting for it to be credited back a few days after my stay. Second, the food and drinks aren't even a reasonable price gouge; it is by far the absolute most expensive menu I have EVER seen in a hotel. Parking not only is not free, it's a $40 valet charge per night unless you park at the connecting garage, which that is $25 a night. The staff was nice and the room was clean, but I will avoid staying here again at all costs.

Confusing layout with ridiculous escalators that skipped floors. Electronic keypads on elevators went down leaving everyone stranded. There aren t any physical buttons to push inside the elevator for floors! At one point down escalator stopped while people were on it jutting everyone forward. Luckily no one was hurt.
Hotel was super expensive! With a tiny awkward bathroom. Could not get an accurate price for parking. They quoted me $40 a night! Was there for an event, looked like they raised the room prices $60 extra per night during the event.

The hotel was very nice, with a great position in the city, right across from Superdome and Smoothie King Arena. Breakfast was good, if a little cold, due to the sense that they did not have heat in the public areas of the hotel.

Luxurious but old fashion in some ways. Not many places to plug in devices in the room. No continental breakfast. Only room service or expensive diner. No refrigerator except one full of over priced extras. Our ice machine was broken on our floor (4th). But the service was EXCELLENT. Our room maid was wonderful and I really appreciated the concierge Don Starr. He was very knowledgeable and super friendly. Guided us to the best places to eat and even to some local fun stuff that we would have never found. I plan to return and bring a tower for my devices! Lol
