HYATT REGENCY NEW ORLEANS Review

Every year my company puts us up in this hotel and it never disappoints. The staff is very professional and hospitable and the amenities are quite impressive. There's just about something for everybody within the hotel, the place is huge with multiple restaurants and bars. I love their breakfast and lunch buffet, a bit more upscale than you would find and most other hotels. The fact that this place is within a short walking distance from the Smoothie King Center and the Superdome, makes this place an absolute must stay while in New Orleans.

Great place. Very clean and the staff is helpful and friendly. Would recommend.

Dirty dishes, ran out of food for the conference had to wait 30 min for food to be ready. Had to change room after being told we would have our same room after the conference. Food was bland.

This is a huge convention Hotel, every possible food and drink you can imagine except at the low end. Nothing here is reasonable or cheap.

Then again this isn't for us common Folk.

Even their pre-made Sushi is actually very good.

Very clear and modern. Rooms are small, bit there are two restaurants inside and a nice bar area.

Attended Tales of the Toddy yesterday. Hotel staff was friendly and the meeting space was modern. A good experience.

The Hyatt Regency is very good and has good services.

Newly renovated and up to date hotel with all the anementies you can imagine. Hotel is right in the middle of downtown New Orleans near the Superdome. Lobby, restaurant selections, fitness room, and bars are all well above average.

Convenient location, friendly staff, and nice, clean rooms. Will be staying there again.

Absolutely worth every penny! Don't worry if you forgot something at home cause they have it for you for FREE!

Ate at the Borgne restaurant for a professional event. I ordered the fried seafood platter, it was pretty good.

Beautiful building. Impressive decor in the lobby. The room sucked though. Tiny and stunk like someone exploded the perfume section of Dillard's in there. The air conditioning was very hit or miss as well. I've done much better at cheaper and won't go back here unless I have to.

We eat here for the buffet. There's also a nice "downtown worker" discount.

Overpriced, overrated and a pain in the ass to navigate around the hotel

Service at vitascope cafe is horrible. Waited 20 minutes for a drink at the bar. Manager was very unhelpful when I talked to him.

This place is awesome! Located close to the French Quarter. The hotel is very high tech and I will definitely stay next time I'm in New Orleans!!

Restaurants, bars, convenient store, walk and distance to almost everything and the staff is very hospitable.This hotel has all you need for a luxurious stay.

The staff is great! Great location. My room was not very clean had to get room service to clean the room again once checked in at 11pm.

Great service and rooms are clean and modern. Enjoyed the gym on the 20+ floor because of the nice view while working out.

Can't get much better than Hyatt in Nola! Amazing restaurants

Great hotel, drinks at the bar were priced well and were very good. Had a great selection of beer and whiskey as well as mixed drinks. They allowed us to smoke our cigars outside which was a plus. The room was clean and comfortable and the AC worked very well. Definitely would stay again.

I went to this hotel to meet my sister for a convention. it was a Mardi Gras theme . I can see where they have done a lot of updates to this hotel. As you can see from the pictures the hotel is pretty standard for a Hyatt.

The staff is friendly and very accommodating. Although my first two stays included serious issues, the management went above and beyond to ensure my next stay was excellent. Rooms are impeccably clean, the restaurants are excellent, and the hotel is with walking distance to the French Quarter. Will stay again.

Very nice hotel with everything you need right here in the hotel. Friendly staff and decent rooms. What's with the elevators? Who reinvents elevators?

The building is beautiful, the exhibition facilities are nice.

Elevator situation was bad, slow and sometimes not working, cleanliness wasn't great considering it was a Hyatt

The room was nice, the service excellent, but the real standout is the Vitascope Hall restaurant. Amazing food and good drinks.

Wonderful place, very clean and spacious, but lord is the layout confusing. Terrible architectural planning.

Pretty awesome quality for high prices. The staff are courteous enough, and the location is phenomenal, but just know that you'll be paying a premium for it.

There on storm of 8/30/2012 great rooms and great people.

I called twice a week in advance to warn them that I would check in very late; they still gave my room with a view away. The customer service agent at check in was rude and not helpful. The toilet seat was broken, thanks the air conditioning was poor, especially in the middle of the night. The shampoo and conditioner made my hair feel like straw.

Good location but I have stayed at Motel 6 locations with better and faster service. I ate at one of the restaurants and it took 15 minutes to get a glass of water. I went to the pool area on the 5th floor and there was no bartender for over 20 minutes. Housekeeping took tickets to an event from my room while cleaning and I waited almost an hour for "security" to respond before having to leave for an engagement. Definitely not what I expected for $300+ a night.

Very nice place so much going on under one roof, very clean was in town for the slugfest.. Staff friendly and attentive would definitely go back only complaint not good ventilation in the rooms....

Beautiful hotel, but the restaurant service was a little iffy.

It's a great event center. The elevators were asanine in the way they worked. And having to climb two flights of stairs to get to the elevator bank is stupid.

Stayed here for a conference I was attending. Beautiful hotel. Almost 1,200 rooms! I usually check the bed/sheets when I arrive into the room and I didn't this time. Didn't check until I was ready to go to bed. Small area on the sheet was covered by what looked like mold. I called and was told someone would be up immediately. After 20 min I called and told the person no one had showed. She apologized and said someone would be up. After another 10-15 min I called and told her to forget it as I was tired and going to sleep. We left the room the next morning to go to a session and when we came back the bed had been made, but no one changed the sheets. I called and she said someone would be up. As we were coming out a lady was there and I showed her the sheet. It was changed by the time we came back to the room. I did receive a call from the manager of housekeeping and he apologized and offered "turn down" service for that evening which included water, chocolate and ice bucket. I put the water in the fridge and it was gone the next time someone came in to clean the room. I didn't bother to call. The places to eat were expensive. They had bottled water in the fridge when we arrived, but since we weren't in the "elite club", they charged $4 for each one. Needless to say the full bottles were sitting in the fridge when we left. Water, a necessity of life, was not offered. No drinking fountain and no water where the ice machine was located.

I was there for an awards banquet and it was a great experience. The food was great and the sound system and large screens were very clear.

Great place to meet up with friends after the concert. Let the traffic die down and relax. Great service and great staff

Beautiful hotel about a mile away from the French Quarter, French Market, and Insectarium. Stayed in a room with double queens beds. Rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. We would highly recommend it. The building itself is very well designed. Also close to the sports arenas.

Baptiste Brunch 2019 was great. The service, food, entertainment, and staff was awesome.

Really nice place. Great location, staff is friendly, wonderful amenities. The parking is difficult though. You have to valet. Other than that, I'd go again

The Hyatt was what I expected. Service was corporate feeling, though not in a bad way. I enjoyed it.

We are locals who often frequent this place for after work drinks.

Even during big events like the Bayou classic, their customer service is impeccable.

I love new orleans and im never disappointed when i visit here.

Mediocre Hotel, highly priced, even executive rooms were too small. They are just taking advantage of the conferences attendees. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Paying 400US for a night and 25US for an omelette and charging for wifi is ridiculous.

Great location able to walk to different stores and restaurants. Customer service was great. The wings I had at the bar were good. We did have to send the first order back they were too hot to get more than one. The waiter was very polite and understood and came back with another order. I had a view of the street as well as the water. The room was clean and as far as I can remember the bed was extremely comfortable. On my next trip that I haven't planned yet lol I would definitely stay here again.

I attent a chef's convection there and I really enjoyed, the facility is exceptional.
