I stayed here while attending the I Am Woman Conference and enjoyed my stay. I hate it was cut short due to a hurricane warning. From check in to check out the staff was GREAT. Restaurant and eateries throughout the hotel.
. This my hotel of choice on my next visit to NOLA.

Beautiful hotel. Gym was above average including dumbbells up to 50lbs. Cardio has a bird's-eye view of the city. Stayed in a King bedroom and was very pleased with cleanliness and layout. Valet was responsive. Keycard access elevators were nice but occasionally felt slow to pick me up.

Overall it's is quite a nice place. I haven't seen the rooms, since I'm here at an event, but the food served had been fine, and the hotel restaurant was quite good. Air conditioning general worked well (and is quite important in this hot and humid weather), except when we had one meeting room at (or over) capacity, then it struggled a bit. Wi-Fi had been inconsistent, which can be annoying.

I have stayed here both pre-Katrina and now that it is fully renovated. It is amazing. The hotel is state-of-the-art. The regency club has amazing food and great Abita beers to choose from. Its my favorite place to stay in this city with easy access to all the great attractions in NOLA.

The Hyatt Regency is a very nice hotel and one should expect it to be a bit on the pricey side; especially if events are going on. I chose Hyatt because it was cheaper than the other hotels around the area; plus it's a short walk to the Super Dome.

THE GOOD:
*Cheaper than most of the other hotels in the downtown area.
*5 to 15 minutes walking distance to restaurants, pubs, & tourist attractions.
*Clean and elegant; it has a nice stylish appearance.
*Zero noise while in the hotel room from outside walls. If there was noise, it wasn't noticeable.

THE BAD:
*Wait-Staff table checking was poor. 15 minutes just to place an order... granted both times were busy. Regardless, this is a poor reflection on Management not scheduling more Servers to wait tables.
*Breakfast buffet is insanely expensive! $60 for two people. (Save your money - NOT worth it)
*No Indoor Pool, Sauna or Hot-Tubs. They do have a pool outside; but it was closed for the winter months.

CONCLUSION:
In my opinion, this is a 3-star stylish hotel that is too expensive for what it offers; other than the fact that it is cheaper than the other surrounding hotels. Would I stay here again, yes. BUT; I will look else where first, and will even spend a little more to stay somewhere else.

Fabulous. Housekeeping was great. Front Desk check in a little dry. But staff overall Great. The Facility was clean throughout.

I've stayed at a lot of hotels around the country and this was by far one of the best places I've ever been. The staff is super cool and very friendly. The location is perfect for anyone who is not familiar with the area and are looking to see the tourist attractions. I would definitely recommend staying here.

It's a nice modern place in a great location. The elevator system is weird at first but you get used to it. I had a minor issue with the shower which was fixed promptly after I asked and which I doubt is systemic. Highly recommended.

The hotel seemed like it was going to be nice. It was connected to two fairly cheap garages, had several restaurants in house, and even a Starbucks on the second floor. Soon after checking in though we encountered a couple of tripping hazards that really impact my rating. The first hazard was the bumpy carpet in the hallway between the elevator and room on the 20th floor. The bumps were easily 2 inches and made me stumble. Second hazard was the unevenly sloped stairs leading from the second floor to the first. The stairs were carpeted with a thick layer of padding and over use had caused the padding to wear down. Going down stairs wearing anything other than tennis shoes would be too dangerous, and even wearing them we almost slipped; so be sure to use the handrail! The queen room was compact so no large luggage allowed. The door slammed close every time, a good thing, but very loud and hard to open For smaller people. We had a long day and didn't want to go downtown to eat, so we ate at the dinner buffet on the 3rd floor. I would never eat there again. It was $17 a person for a really underwhelming selection. There was a salad bar with 4 lettuce choices, 8 toppings and 6 dressings. The second bar was a sandwich that had a selection of 3 types of bagged Sara Lee sliced breads, 5 meats (ham, turkey, roast beef, salami, and surprisingly, prosciutto!), 3 or 4 types of boring cheese, a few sandwich toppers like lettuce and tomato and a couple types of mustard and mayo. On end cap of this bar there was 4 types of cold salad like tuna salad, tomato and cucumber salad, a green bean and yellow pepper salad and one other that I can't remember. Next they had a hot satation next to the kitchen that had a couple choices of baking sheet pizza that had been sitting for a while, looked and tasted worse than Cici's pizza for comparison. Next to the pizza that had a "po boy" combo. Extremely yeasty french bread paired with a very salty beef and bits. Then they had a dish of cooked vegetables with sweet potatoes. And finally on the hot bar was a diy nacho station with shredded chicken and queso. Surprising the queso didn't entirely taste like it came out of a can. The last bar had a mix of desert and soup on it. The soup was a gumbo that the pot was empty, and I think a corn chowder thayt I didn't want to try. The desserts looked like a mix of house made and Sam's club dishes. They had little red velvet cupcakes with some white chocolate toppings, some generic caramel fudge, a few sugar cookies spread around, and finally a house made bread pudding that you could top with your choice of chocolate sauce, berry sauce, caramel sauce, and one other sauce I can't recall. That was a lot to type and read, but the whole slection was a quarter of what you'd find a decent buffet at half the price. The staff was nice and kept our cups filled. So overall a would not eat there again. It was extremely underwhelming for the price.

This Hyatt is a little old. The atmosphere is suitable for business. Room is spacious and clean for sure, but the major complaint is that WIFI SIGNAL IS SPOTTY AT BEST. At least in the north tower.

Sculpture group across the front door is a gem in the city. Walking to French Quarter, WWII museum and Lafayette Square takes some time but manageable.

Beautiful, clean hotel. Gym is nice, the view of the Superdome is great. Friendly staff and I love the elevator system that they use. The worst experience at this hotel is the breakfast buffet! What a disappointment.... especially in an City known for great food. Eggs are imitation and not even good imitation. There were no berries in the fruit section. No omelette station, waffle station....etc. Fix the Breakfast buffet and it will be a 4 star hotel. Location is ok, you can walk to Bourbon Street but it will take bit.

The Hyatt Regency is a very large hotel and I became lost a few times. But getting lost was an adventure because the hotel is so beautiful and modern. The staff was very nice and helpful.

Check in was a mess. Told me a room number and floor, wrote it on my key holder, turns out it was the wrong room and floor. Took about 45 minutes to sort out. Other than that is was a standard hotel stay

Cumbersome parking garage, elevator system, unhappy employees, worst maid service, slow check-in process, plumbing issues, slow restaurant service even when not too busy, and unhelpful management. Assume for a moment that you are on the 11th floor, to get to your vehicle parked in the garage, you must walk down a long corridor, use an "innovative" elevator with no buttons inside (Great idea!... not), go to the 2nd floor (or was it the third floor, they look the same), walk down another long corridor (wait wrong corridor, go back try again, oh, there it is) go up another rickety elevator (after waiting for the waiting crowd to get on first) to the 6th or 8th floor of the parking garage, drive down the narrow ramp after waiting for all the slow cars ahead to go, arrive at the gate, find your ticket, leave the hotel to enter detours 10 minutes down the road to make a u-turn to get to your destination 4 miles away. Time wasted, 45 minutes. Next time I'll walk. This was the parking garage situation, every day for a miserable week. The line at check in was 40 minutes at 10 pm. The bath tub drained so slowly that you had to wait an hour between showers. The maid service brought 2 towels one day, no wash cloths, the next day four towels, no wash cloths, after 3 calls to the front desk and housekeeping and management, we got our wash rags and towels 8 hours later. They checked us out a day early and were unapologetic when we showed them our emailed reservation and even charged us for the last night twice after they said they wouldn't. Hopefully at some point in the future, after 10 more emails, we can get our money back that we were overcharged. I wish we would have stayed 5 minutes down the road at the Comfort Inn or somewhere similar with a parking lot instead of a garage and a free breakfast. If I were to go back to New Orleans with kids, that would be the only way. However, if I were traveling with adults, I would just stay in the french quarter and take a cab wherever I need to go or walk. This hotel was the worst part of our trip.

I was there for a conference, and it's one of the nicer conference hotels I've been in. The food at the in house restaurant was delicious, the room was great, and the conference meeting rooms were very nice. The arrangement of rooms was a bit confusing, and it was easy to get lost the first day, but I got it figured out. The workout room upstairs was very nice, and had a great view of the Superdome from the cardio equipment.

Beautiful venue and great time at the Bunch Club Ball on Friday night celebrating carnival season. Easy access to parking and all around great time. Hotel is beautiful and we enjoyed a great 3am breakfast.

Stayed here for a company function with my husband. Great rooms and views, plenty of food options right there in the hotel, and great places to eat within walking distance. Also, Dave n Busters right next door! Very fun. Heated pool, loved the gym and the panoramic view up there. All around a great stay.

I stayed at the Hyatt Regency for four nights during a conference.

The hotel was located within walking distance to the Mercedes Benz Super Dome and Smoothie King Center. The Rampart-St. Claude Street Car line has a stop right in front of the hotel. Ride for a few minutes to the Conti Street Station and walk just two blocks to Bourbon Street. There s a grocery store, Rouses, a block away from the hotel.

The meeting and conference room areas are nice. There are bars, restaurants, and even a Starbucks inside. There are plenty of lounges/common areas for a place to relax, sit and chat.

The room was clean and everything worked. There was only one USB port so bring a block plug with you. There is an iron and blow dryer available. Coffee/tea set-up can be found on the desk. I had a full window with a beautiful city view, but the super dome view is nice as well.

Overall it was a decent place to stay during my trip. Check out took a long time. I didn t realize until I left that you can check out online and the hotel will email your receipt. Save yourself some time and check your email instead of waiting in line to check out.
