Cumbersome parking garage, elevator system, unhappy employees, worst maid service, slow check-in process, plumbing issues, slow restaurant service even when not too busy, and unhelpful management. Assume for a moment that you are on the 11th floor, to get to your vehicle parked in the garage, you must walk down a long corridor, use an "innovative" elevator with no buttons inside (Great idea!... not), go to the 2nd floor (or was it the third floor, they look the same), walk down another long corridor (wait wrong corridor, go back try again, oh, there it is) go up another rickety elevator (after waiting for the waiting crowd to get on first) to the 6th or 8th floor of the parking garage, drive down the narrow ramp after waiting for all the slow cars ahead to go, arrive at the gate, find your ticket, leave the hotel to enter detours 10 minutes down the road to make a u-turn to get to your destination 4 miles away. Time wasted, 45 minutes. Next time I'll walk. This was the parking garage situation, every day for a miserable week. The line at check in was 40 minutes at 10 pm. The bath tub drained so slowly that you had to wait an hour between showers. The maid service brought 2 towels one day, no wash cloths, the next day four towels, no wash cloths, after 3 calls to the front desk and housekeeping and management, we got our wash rags and towels 8 hours later. They checked us out a day early and were unapologetic when we showed them our emailed reservation and even charged us for the last night twice after they said they wouldn't. Hopefully at some point in the future, after 10 more emails, we can get our money back that we were overcharged. I wish we would have stayed 5 minutes down the road at the Comfort Inn or somewhere similar with a parking lot instead of a garage and a free breakfast. If I were to go back to New Orleans with kids, that would be the only way. However, if I were traveling with adults, I would just stay in the french quarter and take a cab wherever I need to go or walk. This hotel was the worst part of our trip.
