I stayed at the Hyatt Regency for four nights during a conference.

The hotel was located within walking distance to the Mercedes Benz Super Dome and Smoothie King Center. The Rampart-St. Claude Street Car line has a stop right in front of the hotel. Ride for a few minutes to the Conti Street Station and walk just two blocks to Bourbon Street. There s a grocery store, Rouses, a block away from the hotel.

The meeting and conference room areas are nice. There are bars, restaurants, and even a Starbucks inside. There are plenty of lounges/common areas for a place to relax, sit and chat.

The room was clean and everything worked. There was only one USB port so bring a block plug with you. There is an iron and blow dryer available. Coffee/tea set-up can be found on the desk. I had a full window with a beautiful city view, but the super dome view is nice as well.

Overall it was a decent place to stay during my trip. Check out took a long time. I didn t realize until I left that you can check out online and the hotel will email your receipt. Save yourself some time and check your email instead of waiting in line to check out.
