So far,so good..people treat you good..lots of food and happy hour..
Great hotel. A bit pricey, but not for a quick weekend out of the city. Great front desk and cleaning staff. I will be back.
This place was absolutely amazing from the moment we walked in we were greeted with great customer service. I highly recommend staying here and my family and I will definitely return
Very bad experience staying here. Had a standard room which was actually a motel room not in the main building. In the room the air conditioning was being replaced so there had a portable unit in the room which was so noisy we had to switch More
Amazing place, excellent service, clean rooms, reasonably priced and very tasty restaurants - gluten-free option.
Thank you for allowing us to take our fur baby. We loved that we had access to the lawn.
They are under construction or have zero attention to detail. The golf course was nice to walk around.
Really nice place. Rooms adequately spacious and clean.
Clean, spacious rooms and very well kept facilities.
Great location, great rate. Good service and amenities as well, including the pool/hot tub and outdoor games area.
The venue is beautiful and while the drinks were quite pricy, it was a worthwhile venue to use for hosting our event.
Place was nice. Only thing is we had a play pen in our room. Not sure why but had to put aside. Good view of pool. Late night dinning was great food too
I don't play golf, but I must say having a room with a view of the course was great! Not only was it exceptional entertainment, being on the ground-level with a patio was such fun for our dog. Though the $100/night pet-fee is a bit steep, she had a blast! If you're willing to pay for it, room service breakfast was also a delicious treat!
I tend to like the Hyatt chain. Had a great one in Hong Kong recently for example. But the Monterey one is tired and due a refurb. Swimming pools are small and have no waiter service. Our room was a king bed with golf course view and is advertised as air conditioned. What that means a is a sign on the wall that says you need to turn off the heating and use the large portable unit that sits in the room and emits about 60-70 decibels when on. You cannot sleep. Add to that they put us in a room (956) with connecting doors that are just not properly insulated and the neighbours had their tv on loud so we could not sleep till they did. Tried to press the guest service button and concierge and front desk buttons all without response. Waited five minutes for answer for help. Had to call again before they sent anyone to deal with the noise. I don t think Monterey has a lot of hotel choice but avoiding grand Hyatt in future. One night left.....
Sports bar has pretty good food. The rooms are completely normal, nothing impressive. The only thing is that there are many buildings (18 or 19) and the lobby and any service is far away, take into account that detail.
My wife and i always check out a place prior to booking, saves on headaches later on. Nice area, grounds are pretty, well kept. Lobby area nice. Lounge nice. Started to book a room and stopped. Resort fee? Really? Did i step into Las Vegas by accident? And it's not listed until I went to book the room and listed last. Nevermind, won't be staying here anytime soon. And please, "owner" do not respond with "other properties do it" or "its a necessary fee". If it's necessary then lump it in the total room charge.
I had a great experience at this hotel. They put us in a room near the conference center where our event was. The gym was very well outfitted for a hotel gym. They even had giveaway earbuds if you forgot to bring your own. The location was within a handful of miles of a downtown area as well as the beach. The bedroom was clean and comfortable and well furnished. ... I would 100% stay again.
Great location and atmosphere. The amenities are well worn.
The property is great with nice pools and outdoor activities but the rooms are a bit outdated
I like the hotel very much. The environment is beautiful and natural. You can enjoy the golf and other entertainment facilities here during your stay. It makes you feel comfortable. People who are worth the vacation come here or those who pass by stay here.
Our first time here. What a GORGEOUS hotel!!! Right on a golf course. ABSOLUTELY STUNNING PLACE! will definitely come back and stay here.
Great hotel is great location Hyatt Regency is always a win
Nice place to stay. Hotel is large, so you have to travel kind of far to go to the bar or restaurant. But otherwise no problems.
The location is convenient. The room is ok but I don't like the bathroom which seems not well designed or remodeled. Show without a door making water splashed to floor, loose wall hook making hard to hang a trowel. Choosing this hotel is because the conference located here.
Nestled behind trees, this property was so cozy. Close to the airport. We loved it
The rooms are nice with good facilities, but are quite dated. The pools can get very busy and aren't very big, it's best to get there early. The facilities are well maintained and there are plenty of leisure activities including ping pong, golf, and fire pits to sit around. It is about a 30 minute walk into Monterey, but the resort has good travel connections, being just 2 minutes off the freeway.
Room and bathroom were remodeled and pleasant. Pool was heated, and hot tub met expectations as well. One star is lost, however, because catered food was barely passable for meat/seafood options, and vegetarian options were disappointing.
Nice hotel, clean rooms and helpful staff. Lots of young families with kids.
Ok. But it's a bit older compare to other Hyatt hotel locations.
It was a very nice hotel, I would recommend it for the cleanliness and quality, however don't book too last minute. The only room available was the handicap access room so the shower was very different and led to the whole bathroom getting soaked. Also they close the pool and hot tub at 9 pm which is earlier than most places. We checked in at 8:45 pm so they waved the resort fee for us since we couldnt use those amenities and they actually put us in the system for free breakfast at check in and warned us a little about the inconvenient shower before we even saw it for ourselves, so they were definitely on top of their service. The breakfast option is something like $27/person and luckily we didnt have to pay but it was a really good spread of breakfast foods with chefs to make personalized omelets or fried eggs and wait staff taking drink and a la carte orders.
The size of the room is OK, but it has no central AC, it only has one noisy individual AC.
Very disappointed with the all resort.
Doesn t represent the Hyatt Regency .
Nice golf course, comfortable rooms, good service. The only thing is that the bathroom is very normal and the bathtub small. The restaurant has variety and good service. At night it is not easy to locate the reception, it is climbing a hill, in that it would be good to improve the signaling.
Great hotel. Stay here every year for the Pebble Beach Pro Am.
I Thought this is the Hyatt????? No room service till 5pm, stupid!!!!
Friendly staff. Comfy, clean room. Wish the A.C. worked better.
Clean and quite quiet. It is like 1-2 miles from all the restaurants and attractions.
One of our favorite place to stay if you don't mind being a bit further away from the ocean. Dog friendly and great for morning walks
Simply amazing. We went to the heated pool and had room service which was fun and relaxing for the whole family
I've been staying here for work a few days a week going on six months now. It's become like a home away from home. Comfortable, predictable, good food, great service.
Great views and one big party bar. Most times a lot of people from conferences. Good place to have fun and meet new people
Get an ocean facing balcony room and let the sound of the ocean lull you to sleep.
Nice hotel in a beautiful location. Lovely outdoor seating by the golf course.
This Hyatt has comfortable mattresses and pillows and absolutely the best blackout curtains I've ever experienced at a hotel. The front desk staff was friendly and went out of their way to handle a request for my group. The sports bar was great, with many TVs, but the food was just ok, perhaps not worth its cost. The grounds seem like a nice place to hang out for couples, families, and groups alike.
Yes, this resort does charge a $22 resort fee (as I found out unexpectedly during checkout, on June 29, 2012) but they charged us $72 by accident. My husband and I are trying to resolve this issue with them right now. Our room was $149 for the June 28 thurs night for a king room (the only available room when we booked earlier that day) but with the taxes it came out to $167, minus the resort fee (which they said is for the "free" 2 water bottles provided in the fridge, for parking, and for using the internet, which we didn't even use, and "other conveniences which we have provided"). But the lady who checked us in was very nice (although I can't like her much anymore since she neglected to warn us about the resort fee). The room was very clean and neat, the tv had some good channels, and the provided moisturizer, shampoo, and conditioner all had a matching smell of white ginger, which was heavenly. The pool was kept at a good temperature and the hot tub was very pleasant, and both were very clean. But roomservice woke us up a few mins before 10am (it was our several-day-late-honeymoon-day/night so we wanted to sleep in) by accidentally unlocking and walking into our room without knocking, before realizing the room was occupied by two sleeping, naked people, and then the person immediately left without saying a word. Besides that, the room was great, the people were pretty nice, and the pools were nice. I would return there, if I had the $$$
A pleasant stay and great staff. The buildings are a bit older and could use some renovations to modernize them. Very large premises and nice golf course. Not really within walking distance to anything, but they have a restaurant and bar on site.
Nice hotel and nice location for local restaurants and breweries.
The rooms are just okay, it's the amenities that make this place.
Love this place, clean, modern, pet friendly, and THE BEST pizza ever..Room service
One of my favorite locations to travel to for work and I always stay at the Hyatt Regency Monterey. They hotel staff are always very friendly and rooms are large. Great location.
Rooms were a little dated. If you love golf, this is a great property. Otherwise, I'd recommend the Highlands Hyatt property over this one.
Beautiful grounds, great conference space, best of all fantastic service. The staff here are friendly and go out of their way to deliver a great experience.
Love it here. Rooms are cozy, golf view is wonderful. Go to the spa. Ask for Alexis when you're in Knuckles Sports Bar.
I have stayed at this hotel several times over the last few years since we come to the Monterey peninsula for golf quite often. This property has plenty of on site parking. But for some reason they just arbitrarily added a $20 parking fee. Come on #Hyatt why don't you just call it a Covid related fee.
The rooms are clean and spacious. We had a room without a view. With all fees and taxes, it came out to $401.00, this is about $120 increase from the last stay we had.
Hotel rooms need improvement including other amenities.
The bathroom is not small child friendly. The bathroom door is on roller without a lock. The shower is not enclosed and a hassle to bathe small children in. I would look elsewhere.
I stayed overnight with my wife and daughter. The room was clean but was fairly worn out. Chipped desks, popcorn ceilings, old carpet, lack of Central AC ( they had a portable unit affixed to the wall). The room was very noisy and we could hear people walking on the above floor. Really not acceptable for a 4 star rated hotel. But aside from the negatives, the people were nice there and very helpful. The breakfast buffet was better than other hotels that I've visited. The hotel also had free Wi-Fi and parking unlike similar class hotels in the area.
Just stopping in for a quick visit but the staff were all wonderful.
Lives up to its publicity.
Excellent location just on the edge of Monterey. Lovely golf resort hotel.
The outdoor is very nice. Have a lot of game for all ages and also tennis tables. Big grass land to walk around. Lots of fire pits, lounge chairs to sit down and hang out. The lobby is nice too. Sometimes have love bands with relaxing music. The rooms can use some updates.
Clean, staff good, can get a cup of coffee and a nibble for a fair price, but the rest of the restaurants are very expensive
Very courteous staff, pristine golf courses and clean, nice rooms
We stayed there for a conference and I was expecting more clean and organised hotel. I think this hotel is overpriced!!!
First off the desk staff was excellent and very helpful. Had my wife & 2 granddaughters, on a quick 3 day get away. We were asked if we would like a tub, I said yes. They didn't tell me it was a handicapped room. Got to the room, not enough towels, or toilet paper. Hair dryer used once and burned out. Everything was eventually worked out but for the price paid you don't expect these kinds of issues. I'm a Hilton Honors member, won't be staying at a Hyatt again.
The best part of our trip! Everyone was great! Beautiful room and view, Accidentally, caught the tail end of Jazz Fest, will come back here next year with entire family and enjoy again!
I have had 2 temp jobs there for conference help. I did a lot of the same stuff each time. The custodial staff is very nice and helpful. They are not perfect, but neither is anyone.
