A little run down, issues with room were resolved on second attempt. Good place to stop for the night.

The rooms are very loud. I could hear every single step the person above up took. The shower is very weak, and the AC in the room is pretty ghetto. It's also loud when turned on. The grounds is nice enough but nothing fancy.
Horrible service, no robes or slippers in room, they shouldn't be allowed to call this place a Regency. I called front desk for something, rang 50 times before answering...they provide 4 single serve coffees in room and 2 small packages creamer when u need 2 creamers per cup...let's see, that's 6 short. $200 rooms, shouldn't have so many shortcomings.
Beautiful facilities from the lobby to the restaurants and conference center to the golf course. Staff is friendly, courteous, and helpful. Tons are spacious and clean. Stocked with complementary bottled water. Three even smart outlets so you coming plug your usb cord right in.
Awesome property with excellent service. Great golf course view.
Spacious, fronts a lovely golf course, selection of restaurants, nice comfortable lobby.
Great if you don't mind walking around a lot since it's spread out
Great staff here and we re always happy to see all the new changes. The hotel is remodeling many spaces. 2 pools, hot tubs, s mores, large screen tv and so much. Always a good stay at the Hyatt in Monterey.
The property is very nice but wish it was closer to downtown. Staff is excellent, rooms are very nice and well kept.
It was worst experience that I ever had.
First of all, it's very very old building maybe over 50 years and only lobby and entrance had been upgraded. For example if your room is at floor three at building #8 , you have to use the elevator at building #6 and walk through all three building to get to your room.bathroom was upgraded and mattress and pillows are very basic.
You are NOT allow to walk around the golf court because it's different property even they charge you as resort fee! Small outdoor pool.
Do not expect be in a Hyatt HOTEL , its just an INN.
We will never ever go back.
Great place, just have to remember if you want to go to the gym request the rooms around building 17 or it's a trek to get there
The hotel is excellent and offers fanatic amenities. The location is fantastic with only a short drive to Cannery Drive and the Monterey Bay Aquarium. If you are a golfer this is an excellent place surrounded by world class links. Staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious well equipped and clean.
I came to stay with my girlfriend who was there on business. Just stayed the night, but the room was quite nice.
Very nice and above all clean rooms, pool area was also very nice, location is not so great, you definitely need a car or taxi
Wow! That's the only word. The room was great, the pool was fun, the fire for marshmallow was a super idea! I Highly recommend that place! When we did the check in they gave us some advices on what to see and where to go. Just perfect!
The Best place I have ever been to absolutely the best nothing else can compete with the service & environment I was treated like a King .
The hotel in general was very good, the only thing is that they tried to charge us a few unannounced resort that they took away when they claimed it.
I was here for car week mecum auctions. The facilities were great.
I'm giving it a 4 because It isn't worth the fee they charged us for the room ($$$) . It is very clean, comfy beds, golf course view is better than parking for sure, lobby and outside sitting areas are lovely, but to charge you and extra $25 dollars for a menu that I thought would be better is subpar in my opinion. Also it was our 24th anniversary and my husband had asked if they can do something cute . They said sure and there was nothing. So I think it's better for business gathers and stopping by with friends to hang out but not to stay for other things. We didn't uses other common areas so I don't have pictures for those. Won't be coming back, but I'm thankful for what they did offer.
Great hotel. One minor or great detail... Air conditioning in the rooms are very noise!!! Hard to have a restful sleep
Room itself was nice and clean. Bed was pretty comfortable too. Couple negatives. Building was to close to the highway and you could hear the cars. Ceiling seems to lack anough insulation you can hear people walking above. And this place does not feel like 4star resort at least not outside. 3 star max. This could be great value for some.
The room was nice. It was fairly spacious and had good lighting. It was nice and quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Very nice hotel with good equipment, but the stairways are not that good
Beautiful establishment with great dining and recreational spaces.
I was not able to get a sleep easily because some families were in the pool and making a splash and shouting at late night. There might be no staff in the pool. It's terrible night. The facilities are not bad.
Great place for a weekend away, work conference, car show, and located right near Highway 1, Monterey CA!
The staff were very attentive and professional. The hotel seemed recently redone and the outdoor fireplaces were great. I really enjoyed my stay! The only down side was that the restaurant was closed due to the pandemic but that s just the current state everywhere.
I made the mistake of booking this hotel without looking at the location and the reviews. The room was cheaply decorated and the King bed was really uncomfortable. There were no bottled waters in our room and with two of us staying they only placed one robe in the room. We paid extra for a view with a balcony and for the breakfast in the morning. The view of the golf course was nice but really noisy when they are cutting the greens in the morning. Needless to say, the price of the view was not worth the money, as the balcony was dirty and the furniture was really cheap. The breakfast buffet was interesting. Food was okay but our seats were disgustingly dirty and stained . I thought we were paying $150/night but with the fees and taxes we ended up paying well over $200/night which is way too much for this place.
I was, actually, unimpressed. The rooms were not what I expected from a 5 star hotel. It was expensive in more ways than one, charging a MANDATORY $25 per person per day for breakfast. Then, breakfast consisted of a buffet that was nothing special, fruit, cereal, eggs, etc. For $25 I expected something a little more uptown. It is also further away from the things to see and do in and around Monterey. The grounds were nice and so was the hotel, but not 5-star caliber in my book. An expensive let down.
The location is beautiful with the golf course view but there are not a lot of activities available except the pool which is not well heated.
The room is extremely smelly. I didn t expect Hyatt could be so disgusting. And there is no elevator to go to the second floor, you need to bring all your stuff up. Very bad experience.
The service was great. The environment was very relaxing. Definitely going back
If you have the ability to stay here, you'll probably never want to leave. Very beautiful, it is exactly what you expect from a super rich hotel chain in a super rich city.
Great golfing hotel. Its clean, well maintained grounds and very attentive employees. I gave 4 stars because the walls are paper thin. I was uncomfortable hearing so clearly the talking from the next room. I couldn't wait to leave.
We had an amazing visit. The only regret of the whole trip was booking a short stay. We come back, next we are in Monterey
The room was updated and modern. The bed was super comfortable and we had a great view of the pool. The pool had many recreational activities and even shuffleboard! It was really easy to navigate to fisherman's wharf and Cannery Way and the staff was awesome, even let us Check in early.
Friendly staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. Great for conferences.
Was here for a conference when the power went out almost 24 hours. The management mishandled the whole thing. There was no information provided. No emergency lighting anywhere.
The room we stayed at were renovated and everything feels clean the only thing was the AC unit was quite loud when on. Staffs were friendly too.
Great relaxing experience. I really enjoyed that there were places to go eat and or drink once the kids were sleeping.
buyer beware of this place . i made a reservation for 4 nights and called to speak regarding my reservation change 2 months ahead and the lady a supervisor was too rude , stay away from this place and said good night hung up the phone saying they cant fill the rooms its too hard to get a customer and if everyone calls and cancels we cant make money. after reviewing their reviews i understand why this place can never find some one to book due to the Terrible old rooms and stinky customer service i recieved. i explained to her that i am a hyatt customer and everywhere they were always flexible , but at this location it is terrible. i explained to her that i am a hyatt member and my membership i feel like useless . she stated and agreed yes i should shred it away in a shredder. riduclous way of handling a rare situation and to hung up a phone at customer . i am sure this hotel must be that terrible to find customers. this is just a warning to keep every one informed of my experience. before even staying there such a horrible way my request was handled. i dont think this is hyatt, this is a run down place with some thug supervisor.
Nice Accomendations, Live Jazz Nice, Sports Knuckles Fun, lots of TV's for all sports fans
Nice hotel but I wouldn't call it a luxury hotel. The rooms are nicely furnished but nothing special. They need an upgrade. There is no central air conditioning so the rooms have this stupid AC on the floor that is very noisy. Not what I would call ideal. The hotel is spread out so you have to drive to the restaurant. Had breakfast there. Good but expensive.
They have two outdoor heated pools with hot tubs.
Very noisy external A/C UNIT. Not acceptable for an hotel of that price.
Good experience so far. Rooms are clean but may need some renovation in the near future.
Mattress pad kept slipping, sheets were not fitted. Really loud highway noise since this older hotel is about 10 feet from hwy 1. Bathroom has a silly post modern shower with only half a door so you're guaranteed to get your bathroom floor completely drenched. Plus no bath tub. You have to drive a car to the clubhouse it's all so spread out.
I booked the Hyatt after reading all the mediocre reviews and I would have to disagree with some of the negative ones myself. I had a great experience here. I initially booked 2 queens and upon checking in, I needed a king. Even though they didn't have any available, the front desk had to shift some things but eventually made it work for me and my family.
I booked from a 3rd party site so I didn't realize the resort fee but most if not all hotels have resort fees so I wasn't surprised.
Also, parking is included in the rate and you won't need to pay extra to park unless you valet. Parking is convenient, we parked right outside our room (we were in the first floor) and had access to our car literally 15 feet away.
Great service and great amenities. I would highly recommend the Hyatt in Monterey.
It's OK. To call it luxury is a bit of a stretch. Rooms are dated with portable air conditioners on wheels connected to the outside. More Howard Johnson than Grand Hyatt. If you're used to like Grand Hyatt SF then you will be disappointed. If you're looking for a conveniently-located property that is okay for an okay price then this is a good choice. I was disappointed the first time I came here but now I'm a regular because of its convenience when racing at Laguna Seca. Staff is great. They are just working with an older property that is in need of an upgrade.
Spent about 8 hours there for a conference. Phone battery was draining the whole time looking for service. There was wifi but nobody was given the password for it to work
Nice and clean. Staff is welcoming. Would come again
I booked it as free night on loyalty program so I can't say anything about the pricing of the room. The rooms were good but on the smaller side and not well isolated from noise. That aside they were of course clean and in good shape. The restaurant was reasonable priced and had an excellent atmosphere and the popcorn was free appreciated by the kids. Thecommon areas had overall a very nice touch. Breakfast was also priced according to what they delivered 22 for adults and 11 for kids. It was the best breakfast we had on our US trip. Overall very nice and not so expensive as it looked when we arrived. But we were mainly in Monterey for the aquarium.
Grounds are beautiful - golf course, pool, jacuzzi, outdoor fires and live jazz. Parking was difficult at night, perhaps because of the golf tourney. Would visit again.
So fancy that I wouldn't stay there. But seriously it's nice.
Nice hotel but the walls are so thin that u can hear the neighboors talk so we ask the front staff kim she can move us and she did it..also Cruz one of the Front desk guy was nice..thanks for the offer of th breakfast was delicious..and thanks to miguel the guy who attended us at the buffet and lupita who look for a table that my hubby and i can seat..
I was at Knuckles bar honoring a friend. The atmosphere was nice the staff was accommodating. It was probably more the people I was there with that made the experience. But it was excellent as always at knuckles
Expensive for the facilities and amenities avl.
An Airbnb would have been much cheaper and also a lot more facilities
It was alright. The room was fine and the service good. Nothing outgoing but a good place.
Extremely nice to stay at for the GCVI conference I attended.
Great hotel and fancy rooms. The spa was closed when I was there, so I can't comment on it one way or the other. The food was RIDICULOUSLY overpriced. I mean, I always expect hotel food to be expensive, but the food here was not only expensive but really low quality. My wife bought french toast for breakfast that was soggy and basic white bread french toast, but paid $20 for it. Dinner wasn't much better. If you ignore the food, it would be 5 stars for sure, but the concierge really tried to sell me on the food. When I asked what the best restaurants in the area are, they included their own restaurants in the list, which is a total joke.
Great service, and a very nice room for a very reasonable price. Food at the on-site restaurants is good as well.
Very spread out, but fine if you don't mind long walks among the various parts of the complex.
A bit cold over there, the hotel is kind of old. But overall is nice.
