I wish I would've been told about parking, but other than that, great experience!
Clean rooms and Great Placement next to Ballpark Village
Went for cardinals winter warm up, THAT was amazing. The hotel itself was disappointing. 250 self parking spaces on site for over 900 rooms...really? Forced to use valet parking (which, ironically, is on site), or park a block away, for another city parking fee. No microwave in the room unless you pay a $25 fee. Ice machine on floor was broken. Free wifi IF you register your name and email address first. Yes, they offer breakfast, but guess what? Another fee! Most of the staff was friendly and helpful, but good Lord, fees, fees, fees, no parking, expensive restaurants on site, and no breakfast included. Seriously, stay at any Drury Inn. Usually less expensive and all the expected amenities are included.
The Hyatt is a great hotel to stay at in St. Louis. Close to the Arch and within walking distance to Busch Stadium as well. Check in and out was quick and prompt. Clean rooms, comfortable beds and a great hotel all in all. Will definitely return.
Booked a non-smoking room and received a smoking room. I have terrible allergies and couldn't breath. Checked in at 1:30 am due to a delayed flight and was woke by the room phone calling at 5:00 am because they couldn't figure out how to start my car and move it from Valet. Told me I had to come down and move it or they would tow it. 250 a night and I have had better service and experiences, cleaner rooms at a Holiday in Express.
Great luncheon for BJC that was hosted here. Nice view of the Arch and downtown!
Hotel service was HORRIBLE! My room was clean upon check in. However, on subsequent days the room was not clean. This was not due to Covid-19, but a lack of service from the Hyatt. The parking key failed to work, therefore I couldn t get in and out of the parking garage without calling front desk first. There were numerous fraudulent charges to my room that I had to contact the fraud department with my bank in order to get the adjustments to my account. I was scheduled to stay in the hotel 3 nights. As a result of poor customer service, fraudulent activity, and poor cleanliness, I checked out early. DO NOT STAY HERE!
Amazing place to spend the night during travel. It's right next to the arch and old court house. You can walk to the arch and many places in downtown.
A nice hotel, but I would guess that their toilet paper isn't much different quality than many super cheap motels. I never understood why this cost cutting measure was necessary for a high end hotel.
I didn't stay long but service was impeccable. Great view of the arch and spacious rooms are a plus
In severe need of some renovations. I didn't stay here, but spent a lot of time at the hotel for a conference and it just feels old (not in a charming way either).
Great location and view! Very classy and fun place to stay. Just didn't love the piles of dirty laundry and trash in the hallways when we checked in.
I dont feel comfortable with giving out ths information
They are making fraudulent charges on my Visa card over 1 month after my stay without my permission or notification. I paid in full the morning of departure, the housekeeping staff stole my medicine from my laptop bag, stay anywhere else
My husband and I LOVED our stay here, the hotel was so clean and gorgeous, and all the employees, especially the luggage personnel were so friendly!!
I had such a wonderfully arrival. I was fustrated from the trip it's self until I arrived and Jeff Hart open are cardoor and greated us like we were at home and pampered us. He made us feel so comfortable. Thanks Jeff and the Hyatt regency
We attended the winter warm up. The staff was courteous and kept everything clean which is amazing given the amount of people there.
The stay was great until the morning. I had no issues with the hotel until that point. We were told at check in that we would have included breakfast and then we were seated in the breakfast area and ate and the server brought us a $70 bill for runny eggs and chewy bacon. The cooks at the omelette station were completely inattentive and the food was just super 8 breakfast quality at best. If you stay here. Avoid the breakfast that's almost as much as your room.
The hotel was old but nice. The restaurant in the hotel sucks. And I had to ask for toliet paper and wash cloths cause there were none in the room. But overall my stay was ok.
Just went to visit a friend, but there were not issues.
No microwave in room. Plenty coffee and 2 cups (we booked for 2 guests.) King room has 2 cups with 3 sugars an 2 creamers. Toilet paper was wet to stick it into the "pretty" triangle and it was nasty. Hair on the sink suggests it wasn't cleaned. Bed is clean and beautiful arch view. 1 hour went by and room service/housekeeping has yet to bring more cream and sugar to my room.
Rich interiors, good amenities, Service is great , good value for money.
Location was great but there were a few things that added up lessened the experience:
-booked king room online in advance. Checked in, got to room and discovered they d given us a queen room. We called and were told that the king rooms were overbooked so they had given us a queen room. They then offered to cover our valet parking. A better experience would have been telling us in advance and offering something to make up for the price difference when we checked in instead of trying to sneak in a queen room for the price of a king
-self parking available down the road but ended up being full the weekend we went, so plan for the $40 valet parking
-6 spiders outside our window so wanted to have the blinds closed
-door to room didn t close all the way
-sheets had a tear
-shower had 2 body washes, conditioner but no shampoo
-hotel could have been cleaner. Walked by bar of soap on the floor the first night then lifesaver on floor next day
Best part was location was close to the arch and walking distance to downtown attractions
They are very clean. Love love love the shower and they provide big bottles of natural shampoo conditioner and body wash. You have a starbucks , bar/restaurant in the hotel. Also right next to the famous Arch. Just a beautiful place overall. Staff is great too. Super nice.
Just met some friends for drinks at the bar. Very nice interior. Drinks weren't unreasonable. Would visit again.
We were there for winter warm up and felt everthing was very organized
Loved it! Great service and staff. Clean neat rooms with really good views. Well worth the price to get such an experience. Don t go elsewhere, stay there at the Hyatt. Plus so much closer to the arch!
Beautiful hotel, great rates, right next to the arch! Quick walk to anything downtown. Casinos are a short walk away, rooms were elegant and clean. I did step on glass in my bedroom carpet, but I understand some mistakes will happen, (double check your carpets!) over all beautiful hotel, great location, great rates, helpful staff, good food selections in the hotel restuarant. Their gift shop was still open when all other stores were closed for late headache run.
The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. My family and I enjoyed the sports bar-great food and drinks. Will stay here again in the future.
Room was very clean, it's a different layout than a traditional hotel room which is a welcomed change of pace. Great views as well.
Excellent location next to the arch and courthouse. Room was very clean and mostly quiet, though to be fair, we were next to the elevators. Minus one star for the lack of parking, $40/night valet, and $25 charge for a roll away when most hotels would provide a pull-out couch.
Those they delivered on the view, I was disappointed in the "little things" they lacked. I asked 3 times for tea in my room instead of coffee...they delivered coffee. The final time, I went to Guest services and I ended up with a dozen tea bags. I DID NOT like you had to take specific elevators to get to your floor. I was at a conference for individuals with disabilities and found myself on the wrong elevator twice, having to ride until I got to the floor that I could get off on to change elevators and ride to MY floor. When I checked into my room, the lotion in my bathroom was USED... Yuckkkkkky. Some of the Conference rooms were horribly warm. Though I enjoyed myself most of the trip, the "Details" that would make this Hotel 5 star, were simply missing. The pub food and service though, 10 stars!!!
Where do I begin? The customer service was great which is the only reason I gave 2 stars. First of all our room smelled like stale cigarette smoke but it was a non-smoking room. Secondly, the hallway of our floor smelled like marijuana both nights we were there. Maybe I m just not fancy enough but I couldn t believe the hidden fees from this hotel! The SELF parking for two nights was an extra $80! Not only was this fee not posted anywhere, but also there was rarely an actual spot to park in. They also had a disclamiar stating that the hotel was not responsible for any damages to vehicle or break-ins. Overall I will not be staying here again.
Great location convenient to several attractions. Wonderful views and access to the Arch. Exceptional service and hospitality. Clean rooms and comfortable bed.
Always Beautiful and The Staff is always good. Thank you always.
The rooms are great and service is the excellence you would expect from the price you will pay for the location.
Only trouble is parking is you don't want to shell out for expensive valet.
All in all, it's a great hotel.
Attended a wedding and reception on 18th floor terrace. The food was great. The staff buzzed around continuously catering to every need of the guests. Breathtaking view of the St Louis Arch! Got a fireworks show as an added bonus!
Excellent place and within just a short walk of the arch!
Very nice hotel right near the arch. Walking distance to anything you might need.
Stayed here twice. Rooms are nice, and quite a few have a direct view of the Arch. Location is great and very close to the Cardinals.
Poor customer service. Rooms are not clean and ready. Had to wait well past the 3pm check in time for a clean room and missed our plans. Staff was no help at all in trying to get us in a room or resolve the situation. Horrible experience will never stay here again
Was easy to find and is nice that it is next to Gateway Arch, building looks nice and staff is friendly, now for the bad part of it. The wife did not like how elevators took you to one spot on floor and had to walk a mile to get to room(exaggeration of a mile). But when we open the room housekeeping had not even been there to clean room and still waiting after 10 minutes we have decided to go to front desk. NOT HAPPY. Update on review. They gave us a free upgrade to a larger room and added a fifty dollar credit to account for A free meal or breakfast I am updating a 2 star for a 3 star. To me there is no reason for a room not being clean as big of a company as this
By far one of the worst run hotels I have every stayed at. Guest services more like guest no service.
The front desk staff knows nothing and the escalators or always down. I asked them about stairs and they didn t even know where they were. Asked about bringing water up to room no ones available for that . This hotel is overpriced and the worst Hyatt I have ever stayed at.
Good location close to the arch and several restaurants. Nice rooms, friendly staff
We were there for opening day for the Cardinals. Fantastic place to stay close to ball park and many other places. Didn't use our car the whole time. Very comfortable accommodations.
Very hospitable. Great food at the sports bar downstairs. A little sad there wasn't a pool, but comfy beds.
It was a very nice hotel! Wonderful staff! Great views and rooms! Plenty of food and drink options in the hotel and close! Stayed overnight after a cardinals game and loved the conscience it offered!
Great hotel adjacent to the Gateway Arch and the Mississippi.
I enjoyed my stay for a business meeting. Very friendly hotel personnel and great food.
The price is different upon arrival that shown on 3rd party websites. I've booked several hotels using 3rd party booking sites before and never had this problem. Needless to say no need to argue with the people doing their job. I just will NOT be back
Bathroom was small. Needed CLR IN THE SHOWER. Someone bracelet was laying on the floor. Bathroom so small it hard to close the door and not touch the toilet. We didn't even have a king size bed. The site said we would though. I'm just so disappointed.
Let's start with PARKING:: I did not want to pay the $39 to use the valet parking so was told I could go right around the corner and use an offsite parking garage. I went to park at the Mansion House garage and drove around for a good 30 minutes looking for a spot. That place is scary and and not customer friendly but I finally found a spot and we head back to Hyatt to get checked in. I was then told that housekeeping was behind and I would get a text when my room was available. BTW I WAS there to get some much needed R & R while my daughter and friend attend the Cardinal game. WHile we wait for room we decide to head back to the garage to get few needed items, then back to hotel to check in, still no room, kids up getting ready in the restrooms for game that by then was starting. Kids go to game and I head BACK to car in the OFF SITE garage to combine as much of our belongings into one bag so not to have such a heavy load on walk back to hotel. I FINALLY got "THE ANTICIPATED TEXT" and decided to take advantage of valet parking at the Hotel for convenience(THE WALK GETTING OLD) BUT HUGE REGRET!!! So they park my car, HOW NICE, I THOUGHT.... After kids arrive from game they decide to order pizza. I headed to valet to retrieve kids belongings. I Was asked if I needed something out of my car or to leave. TOLD them just wanted something at the moment but would be leaving shortly. I THEN WAS TOLD MY CAR WAS IN THE MANSION HOUSE GARAGE, YEA WHERE I JUST MOVED IT FROM. Was asked if i was scared to go to garage alone and THEN my keys were GAVE TO ME, HMMM.. WAS TOLD NOT SURE WHAT AREA OF THE GARAGE MY CAR WAS LOCATED. UGHH TO $39 VALET! I begin the walk again the infamous garage and with my remote in hand start pushing the button to try and find my car. Security there attempted to help me locate my car. Same man helping me had just saw me leave there and was confused. He thought i forgot where I parked I told him "NO, VALET FROM THE HYATT PARKED MY CAR HERE." He advised me that he never knew of them utilizing their garage to park guest vehicles . Security got called away so I am alone in the garage in an attempt to find my car, it is late and dark. My # 1 rule never go to a parking garage alone, I was alone.... Found car on the 7th floor UNDERGROUND IN THE FAR CORNER AFTER OVER AN HOUR OF LOOKING. I was approached by 2 strange me so hurriedly got in my car and headed to the upper levels. As I started towards the exit I realized I had no "exit ticket' to get out of garage. I called valet parking at Hyatt and after several attempts to reach them(no cell coverage underground) was told they would send someone over immediately to get me out of there. I headed to the exit booth after waiting 15-20 minutes to give Hyatt employee time to walk over, they were not there yet. I am sitting at the exit booth and cars start to get backed up behind me. Lady at the booth told me I could not exit and would have to move my car to the other lane. Horns already blowing at me for blocking the exit, I was horrified. So I try to back up as I practically beg the cars behind me to do the same so I could get in the other lane and that infuriated the other drivers more. I was yelled and cussed at up until the Hyatt rep showed up. I have never been more humiliated. I FINALLY make it out of the garage BY NOW SUPER UPSET!!! I then get a text from the kids, the pizza came and they sent a picture of it(wish I could share) it was disgusting and not edible. I am now going on a 2 hour run to my car, it is late and I have hungry kids and out cost of a pizza that's barely cooked. It was so doughy that all toppings slid off of it and the kids WOULD NOT eat it, SO I head to Taco Bell for supper. By the time I get back I ask my daughter if they minded if we just cut the trip short and head home that very night. REALIZE COST OF ROOM WAS $303.30 for WHAT TURNED OUT TO BE FEW HOURS OF HELL THERE!! WE CHECKED OUT SHORTLY AFTER ARRIVING. Manager advised valet to credit me, I was billed twice for it, not credited total: $344.25
Hyatt offers great accommodations & Amazing hospitality
Enjoyed my visit there. I had a conference in the facility and enjoyed the downtown venue.
Hotel was really nice and clean. It was the first hotel on a trip with several, and none of the others compared.
There was food all over the floor. clothes and blankets on the floor. They put the wrong room number on my key card and I had to try to open all the doors on the floor. Very disappointed
Was mine and my fiance's first choice for our wedding, but after be rushed through our tour and and feeling like we were being judged negatively. Don't know if our rep thought we couldn't afford the venue or if she had that judgement because I'm in a wheelchair. Its been over a month and after several emails and leaving voicemail to get a quote with not even a response, we will continue looking elsewhere.
We have a 100k budget just for the venue. Since it's a 3 day event. Now I wouldn't spent 1 cent there. Should tell Megan, leave her judgments at home.
I m currently staying here and when I initially checked into my room there was somewhat of a foul smell (vomit). It was late so I asked if they could come spray something in the room to help with the smell. They came quickly and took care of it. It did not completely get rid of the smell however it was tolerable for the night. The next morning I went to the front desk and asked if the carpets could be cleaned while I was at my conference and they said they would send someone up immediately. I came back to my room in the afternoon to grab something and the room looked clean however the smell was still there when I called to get further assistance I was told I was not staying in that room and they had me in another room. I asked what they meant because obviously I have a key to that particular room and all my stuff was in it. I was told I was switched to another room. I was not notified of this switch! They told me a message was left for me in my room however there was no message. After I moved all of my stuff to the new room I noticed there was a message in there but I don t know how I was suppose to get that message without being notified of the room change. For my first day in this hotel I am very dissatisfied with the cleanliness and communication of the hotel and staff!!
This is not what I would have expected from a Hyatt. The sheets felt like plastic, they didn't have parking available in their garage so i had to park down the street, the "wake up call" rang twice then stopped before I could even pick up, the shower head was what I would expect from a motel six, and breakfast options were insanely overpriced.
On the the positive side, the front desk staff was great and you can't get any closer to the arch ... That's it though.
If this had been a days inn or similar it would have been a fine experience, but for a place boasting 4 stars and the Hyatt name, I expect a lot more than this. I wouldn't stay here again
The view was fantastic as was the room and amenities. Great place for a few days of relaxatiin and sight seeing.
The provided food was great and had fun at the event
