Horrible place,,,has ants and mice all around building...The main cook for the hotel was literally caught on camera scratching his balls in the kitchen area..

I am very happy to express my feelings on this site.My overall experience of this hotel was great.Staff was dedicated and polite. Decoration and interior was wonderful. Amazing food quality. Neat and clean place.Must recommend for next time also. Thanks guys!!!
We got a mixed feelings about this Hyatt. The hotels lobby feels a little outdated. No rooftop was available. No pool on the hotels premises. The rooms are ok. However, we spotted some mold in the bathroom. The location is great. The customer service support and communication we're excellent. There are some dining options in the hotel...
Our stay at the Hyatt recently was great. Most of the staff were helpful, always had a smile and positive attitude. Our room was nice, plenty of room and clean.
Nice rooms and friendly staff. Very centrally located and within walking distance of Busch stadium and the Arch. Dining options within the hotel are a bit pricey.
Hyatt Regency at the Arch was much more than we expected. Very beautifully remodeled with three separate bars and restaurants, with the addition of a Starbucks.
The room looked as if it had been cleaned and prepared months ago and forgotten. There was a layer of dust on everything. Other than that, it was a good stay. Better than average. The service was hands off (which I like). There was no free breakfast, which I don't. I stayed here because of the lowered prices, presumably because of the time of year, so I am happy with the value. 3 Stars.
Very nice hotel and the rate was very reasonable for such a nice place, maybe because it was Sunday ($130). Right next to the Arch and park and very close to various night time entertainment venues. Service was excellent and there's parking under the hotel... you do have to pay for it though ($35) but worth it because the is nowhere on the street close to park. I'd definitely stay here again.
Great amenities and amazing staff. Rooms are dated but very clean and a great deal for price.
One of our favorites place to stay.. Ruth Chris is steps away..
Non-smoking room smelled like cigarette smoke. Otherwise a great stay as usual.
The reason I am giving them a 2 is because the location is absolutely breathtaking and the staff were very kind. I am giving a 2 because my bedding had blood on it. Like legit blood that didn't wash out in the washer and they put it on anyway. It was literally disgusting. Also, our toilet ran all night forever and the people above us were so loud it sounded like the floor was going to fall in.
Perfect location great view needs better parking for trucks with trailers
UPDATE 7-26-2016
I have come to say our hotel night was refunded. Be aware that the Fire alarm being pulled may still be a problem. Thank you!
Great view of the Arch and river, very clean room at a reasonable rate will definitely stay there again
Our stay here at the Hyatt was the best I've ever had! We reserved the Kings Deluxe Arch View which is one upgrade from regular room, totally worth it!!! We were on 14th floor and had a wonderful view of the arch and the river out of both large windows. The room was very spacious, luxurious and most importantly spotless! Only downside is you can still hear the loud cars passing by on the street. The breakfast was paid for with our hotel room and was worth it, plenty to chose from the buffet not just waffles cereal and muffins here. The whole hotel is very comforting and worth the price. Everyone was respectful to us even though we were both 21. I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting the city and we will be returning next year when the Gateway construction is complete.
Payed for a 4 star hotel. Recieved an experience comparable to a Holiday Inn.
I checked into this hotel last Saturday for a one night stay. I found a deal for $109.00 and thought to myself this is a really good deal being as holiday inn is about the same and this is supposed to be a really nice hotel. I was in for a rude awakening. First of all, we get there and the parking garage is full, are you kidding me? I was told to park at another hotel or pay $39.00 for valet. So apparently the parking garage wasn't full, they just force you to valet park at this hotel. We left and drove around for a few mins, almost got lost being as we aren't from St. Louis. So we decided to just go back and be forced to pay the $39 because we were exhausted being as we were at the St. Louis Zoo all day with our 2 toddlers. We were all absolutely exhausted. So we go to check in, and I was told that I must give my card for a $50 deposit. Why wasn't I just charged the deposit when I originally booked the room? Its like they try to slide these things past you a little at a time. Not to mention the fact that I stood in line at the check in desk for over 15 mins which seemed like an hour after chasing 2 small children around the zoo all day. So we got checked in and went up to our room, I immediately went to make me a cup of coffee, the cheap coffee maker leaked everywhere because it was broke, and got coffee all over my clothes. There were no trash bags in the trash cans. We finally got cleaned up, then we decided to go to the arch, and I was told if we wanted our vehicle, that we would have to pay another $39 to get it out and have it parked again!! Are you kidding me? To top it all off, a few days later after I checked out, the hotel charged $148 to my card on top of the original $109, so they charged $100 deposit verses $50, without my consent. I had to spend 3 hours on the phone with my bank and the hotel, did 2 separate conference calls before the issue was resolved. And btw, I was told it would take an additional 48 hours for their reimbursement to go through. On one final not, just to be %100 honest, they did wave the valet fee, and that did make me a little happier, but Its not good enough to keep me as a customer, or to make me recommend this hotel to anyone. Giving me back something I should have never been charged for in the first place isn't really doing me a favor. Very disappointing.
I love this place my kids loved this place we had a great time
We had a beautiful room at a great price, very clean, everyone so nice and helpful.
I love this hotel !! The views are beautiful and have nice comfy beds and very clean , just wish they had a pool !! Overall nice stay!
The check in staff were extremely kind and accommodating, the bellhop was also very helpful. The room was in impeccable shape and we had a lovely view of the river. The bathroom with dual sinks and an separate toilet/bath space was great. The beds were a little small but very comfortable I also enjoyed the stool in the bathroom. We ordered room service and the food was delicious in addition to the staff member who brought it up being very nice. Amazing workout facilities. My only complaint would be there is no pool, and the pick up valet staff was a bit short and rude with us.
I know other reviews say that things seem dated, but they must have renovated because the rooms our group had were awesome...clean, spacious, seemed like new furnishings and decor. Now, there isn't a pool, but seriously if you are staying in St. Louis, you are here sightseeing, enjoying the nightlife, etc. A pool really isn't that necessary. There is no continental breakfast because they have actual restaurants, which is typical in that situation. You are right next to the Arch!!!! Actually a lot of sights are close by, so great location! The layout of the hallways can be confusing. Lots of turns, but pay attention to the signs, and you are fine. Also pay attention to the elevators. One side is for one set of floors, and the other side is for a different set. Very friendly and helpful staff!
Great hotel for price. Convenience for Arch and stadium
Visited a guest and was welcomed by staff upon our arrival.
The room was very nice and clean. The entire staff was very friendy, and prompt.
A very nice hotel with multiple restaraunt and bar options, as well as walking distance to all of downtown and just across the street from the Gateway Arch...
We ate Ruth's Chris Steakhouse! Words cannot fully explain how amazing the food and atmosphere was! The lobster Mac n cheese and the sweet potato casserole were beyond favorites! So so so amazing!
Zero parking. The garage was full and the only parking available was to do the valet for $40 or to pay to park down the street.
The bed was very uncomfortable and hard and the pillows were feather pillows, which would normally be ok, but they were so worn that they went completely flat as soon as you laid on them.
We also checked in at 11 pm on a Friday night. In the hall there was a sign that said there was construction but we didn't see anything around and figured nothing would be going on on sat morning because the staff didn't mention anything. But at 8 am on sat there were multiple people shouting and talking very loudly and multiple doors being slammed and hammering. where we left the room we found that a room right best to press was having conversation done but the doors had been closed the night before so we couldn't see that. our room should not have been rented out or they should if let us know this would be the case. no one told us this would be right next to our room at 8 am.
worst stay ever. would not reccomend it at all.
I've been in better hotels, parking is a disaster...staff is polite and outgoing...feels a bit unorganized...hotel food was not good and overpriced....However Ruths Chris was perfect.
Just a great hotel! Never had any problem with Hyatt.
The room was clean and looked nice but they put me into a room that had two doors that adjoined to someone else s room. That was terrifying at 2am when someone tried to force open the door between us.
One of the gentlemen at the hotel concierge desk kept asking me to share my dinner (which I had delivered to the hotel) with him. The hotel mysteriously does not allow delivery people up to the rooms...apparently so you have to come down and be assailed by their employees who are after your food. Not only did he incessantly ask me, refer to my dinner as his...he also followed me to the elevators saying he was going to come up to my room to eat his dinner. It was a very unsettling situation to be in, for sure. I wouldn't recommend staying here.
Great location near the Arch. Good event facility and overnight stay.
After a weekend stay, I cannot give the Hyatt Regency in St. Louis at The Arch the 4-star rating it boasts. It's a beautiful hotel in a great part of the city, but unfortunately there were several inconsistencies that ultimately resulted in a negative experience. If I find myself in St. Louis again, I will be trying a different 4-star hotel.
Cons:
- I had my car valeted twice (which is really pricey, but convenient). The first time the man was complaining he was over worked, and just to leave the car he would get to it eventually. The second time, no one was even there and I waited 15 minutes for someone to show up.
- The air conditioning in the room didn't work very well or at all, seems like a very old system that is in need of updating. I had to wake up several times during the night to lower it because it kept resetting.
- There wasn't any bottled water in the room or a mini-bar for that matter. I was always thirsty and the staff said I could order a bottle of water for $3.50...
- The dine in service was very tasty, but extremely expensive! It was $50 for breakfast, which is probably to be expected at a 4-star hotel, but this place doesn't feel worthy of charging that much for food.
- The TV was broken.
Pros:
- Very friendly staff. Guest services helped out finding local attractions.
- The dine in service was always very fast, and the food was really good. Although as I mentioned it is expensive.
- The room was very nice and the view was great.
It was a great experience. Went to a Cardinals game and decided spur of the moment to stay the night and go to the zoo in the morning. Found a room for a good rate. Since it was so last minute we had NOTHING. The hotel guest services got us hooked up with all of the essentials. Location was great for day and evening activities. Walked to the arch and the river front, down to the Old Spaghetti Factory which was also good. My only knock is not on the hotel but the location. Theres really no convenience or corner shops in the area. So if theres anything you need other than the basics that the hotel can offer you are out of luck. Parking was a bit pricey in my opinion, but not unexpected in downtown St.Louis. Would and will visit this hotel again in the future.
Nice views and right next door to the arch. We walked around by hotel marvelous views.
Really nice from the outside and when you come in: but I was surprised to see how small the rooms were.
Honestly, we had issues with check in when i had everyrhing booked and confirmed. Customer service was poor and no help for un happy guest experiences.
Its a great hotel and i will always recommend to friends.
I stay at this hotel every year for a church convention. The guys in guest services were excellent, housekeeping was a little stretched this year. But overall my stay was great!
Everything seemed cleaned properly in our room on the ninth floor. Appreciated the availability of an Ethernet cable for "High Speed" Internet but using that higher speed costs money. The roof terrace seemed like the place I would like to have a nice party, basically right beside The Arch.
Excellent location. Quick walk to the arch!!! The breakfast had many options including vegetarian and also gluten free available by request. The valet parking was worth the price difference for the convenience Valet staff, wait staff and bell staff were very attentive.
Clean comfortable room. Staff was polite and professional.
Beautiful hotel, nice big room with a beautiful view. Housekeeping was a little less than impressive.
Very nice. A little dicsoncerting to the not so often traveller.
Great stay. Great location. Customer service was top notch. Jared at the omlet station for breakfast was great, so was Kenneth. August at the front desk was super.
Room was immaculately clean. Plethora of shower items. Only have a complaint that the bottled water was $4 a bottle.
Excellent service, great staff. Overall very friendly.
What a beautiful place, and beautiful rooms. I would definitely recommend Hyatt for your next trip here.
We stayed here over the 4th of July
holiday and you cannot beat the location or the city view. You are steps away from the arch which made it very convenient with having kids. It s close to a few restaurants and parks as well.
On the 4th the staff was nothing but helpful! They all seemed to keep calm under the pressure of the flood of guests. They had the service elevator running to take people up to their rooms as well, which we were so thankful for with sleepy kiddos.
The hotel itself is clean. We were happy with the room and service especially since it was a holiday. Our only issue was blankets which seems like a small detail but they do not have comforters, only extremely thin blankets. They will bring more if you ask which is a plus but I would recommend you bring a warmer blanket of your own if you get cold at night.
Overall, we would stay here again!
They were great. Toilet over flowed and they handled it amazingly, excellent customer service.
Great amenities and service is top notch. Decor and fixtures feel modern. Bed was a little too firm and toilet paper way too rough.
I cannot wait to have my wedding here to give a follow up review. The event planner Nikki is so incredibly nice and quick to respond to any questions I have.
nice ballrooms, i set up sound for events. staff generally stay out the way while loading in. that being said, the process of loading equipment in is the worst ever, wedding professionals beware
The whole hotel itself was beautiful, and front desk service was wonderful. There's an off site pool, two restaurants, and gift shop.
Great place to go to. Went for Cardinals Winter Warm up. Staff was great.
I loved the good location downtown St. Louis is near my room was ready as soon as it arrives and the room was well cleaned.
Loved how clean it was. People very nice the moment we walked in .
Nice rooms with great views of the arch from the side rooms.
Had Ruth's Chris Steakhouse here. It was awesome as usual.
The hotel is nice and the view can be spectacular. Unfortunately we didn't get to enjoy a view at all. We arrived and we're told our King room wasn't available and they had a double. They ended up putting us into a room with a bed and a large 12 seat conference table in it in the middle corridor, i.e., no windows at all, next to the elevator shaft. We soon found out that the garage is also not available to guests, even though the back of the keycard had instructions on how to activate it to work the garage entrance/exit. So we had to park a block over. It's typically a really nice place but this last experience was not a great one.
Awesome staff, clean rooms, perfect location!! Our spot any time we visit St Louis
