One bright spot and two not so bright. The one bright spot was our bellman Vincent. He was very helpful in getting our luggage and getting it up to the room. One of the things I was disappointed with was the fact that there was no Wi-Fi in the room, only in the Lobby. The other is that there was no freezer compartment in the refrigerator in the room. I need to keep my wife's insulin cold and I use freezer packs to do that instead of ice. One of the staff members took my freezer packs and put them in the freezer in the lounge. In the morning when I attempted to retrieve them, instead of calling someone to get them for me, the front desk clerk proceeded to tell me how to get to the lounge so I get them myself. When I asked if he wanted me to get them myself, he very condescendingly said that he guessed he could go get them. He finally found someone to get them for me, but overall that was a disappointing experience. Except for those two things I would rate this hotel as satisfactory. I would rate them higher, but they didn't have amenities that are commonly provided at hotels that charge half the price of this one.

View of the arch was great and the hotel was within walking distance to a bunch of things! The farthest was the city museum (20 minutes) and one of the closest was Busch Stadium. Great hotel to stay at for a first time visitor. Only drawback was that it cost $29 a night to park.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful upon arrival to the time we departed. Bottled water costs $3 in your room unless you are in the executive Hyatt rewards club, this is stupid, hydration is an extra cost added onto your room. Enjoyed the stay but my bank account disagrees with me.

Jordan at the front desk was awesome! Great gym, easy self parking currently costs $30 a night (or $40 for valet), Starbucks, Ruth's Chris, and another smaller restaurant. It has that nice, open aired feeling of a major, classic Hyatt Regency Hotel property and the location next to the arch is amazing.

Everything was lovely. Each staff member showed special attention, food was excellent, and accommodations top notch. View and location are beautiful! Had a minor issue, quickly resolved, and given in-house Starbucks gift card along with handwritten letter from director.

Valet keyed my brothers car!!! Brand new 2015 $50k sports car with massive deep scratches up and down both sides of the car.

We parked on Saturday and the car was in the garage all weekend and didnt move. Car only has 5000 miles it as he just bought it a few months ago. When we got there we were told there was no more parking. There was only valet parking supposedly. Since this is a 6 speed manual 500hp car he didnt want someone else driving it. He was told just to pull through the garage and exit. Trying to find the way out he saw many open parking spaces so he just parked and asked someone at the front desk if that was ok. (Obviously, it's not) They assured him it was as long as he paid the self parking fees, which he did. When he left on Monday the scratches were discovered. When he asked the valet people about it he was told "We can't do anything about it but if you would have valet parked it might be covered".

As for the hotel and rest of the staff I have no real complaints but I will never be back. If you have to go here, dont park in the garage. It's safer to park in the middle of the street.

I stayed with my girlfriend over a weekend and everything went smoothly except for the first day coming (Friday night) where the valet parking took a good amount of time due to only one person working but the gentleman was understanding and great! Room service was prompt and efficient as well as the parking service to get the car pulled around. This is the 4th time I've stayed and it has been consistently good!

The views of the arch were spectacular, and I assume they're in the process of updating the hotel, because the carpet and fixtures on some floors showed significantly more wear and tear, while others were very up-to-date. I don't understand the tiny pillow thing that this and other hotels do on beds, and they were out of the foam ones that you can borrow. Additionally, I wish my fiance had realized there wasn't a pool when he booked (but the fitness room was clean and lovely!)

I was about to give this hotel a solid 4 or a 5. I mean the view, the room, the service, and the location are nice. However, I asked about an overcharged bill when checking out. The front desk told me that it is not like what states in the bill and I will not be charged over on what I agreed on. Unfortunately, I found the credit card bill today that is still overcharged. I found it at 1am and called hotel, whoever responded me told me that only the manager can handle that and asked me to call back. It's bad. It's very bad. It's extremely bad to lie even when I asked in checking out.

Update 2020/1/5: I just called for the hotel. The 1st 25USD upgrade is about lounge upgrade which I didn't request, I didn't ask, and I didn't notified. As for 70USD upgrade, I believe it should be the original 25 USD upgrade to the arch view room + 45USD to the better arch view room. It was weird that the front desk told me the fee is 45 USD only. They refunded 25USD for lounge, but not the other 25USD. I told the front desk manager to train the front desk better, and she seems not caring about that. It was kind of bad.

PS. (2020/01/06) The director of operation emailed me and refunded me more than I expected. I think it's all good and the director is handling better than the front desk manager...

Our experience started off great with a view upgrade to the corner room on the 18th floor because of a leaking min fridge. The room was very nice and the service was fantastic. We had returned home and unpacked realizing we had left an item in the closet. I had called the day after our check out date and talked to lost and found in hopes to retrieve the item. It had not been turned in, but I was assured that no one had checked into the room since our departure. Only the cleaning service had been in the room since we had left, so the supervisor went to check the room. Nothing was found. After talking this over with a supervisor who understands that the item was left in the room, and no one checked into the room, and the only person in the room was the cleaning service, they still did not have an explanation as to why the item was missing and there was no resolution. Great hotel, just don't forget anything when you leave!

I stay at Hyatt's pretty regularly so I know what to expect, but this one exceeded my expectations. The headboards were affixed to the wall and were made of really nice leather. The Internet was more than fast enough to work remotely from the hotel desk and my room had a great view of the St. Louis Arch.

I didn t actually stay here, I just visited for a conference. The staff was extremely kind and helpful when I interacted with them, and the hotel was very beautiful. Would definitely stay here.

Upon entering valet will park for you @$40 extra a night. But don t pull in at 11:30pm No valet to be found and lots, lot s of people hanging around partying (smells of cannabis everywhere). The rooms are nothing special, the front desk staff was sub par at best. No breakfast offered! They Own the Starbucks inside, so the food they have for breakfast is available there(at a fee). The coffee was great, and the one person who got tipped was making our coffee. & I told him what great service. The restaurant is nice looking, but way over price for the quality of food served. If you ve read this far, this is not a family hotel. Even walking to our rooms the smelly cannabis was hard to miss. Customer service, nope none.. I get better service at a Walmart..

Visited the arch in August of 2015 and stayed here. Beautiful views of the arch and the courthouse. The hotel is immaculate. Everything about this hotel is positive. The beds are soooo comfortable. I really wanted to leave with a couple of pillows too. So much food and entertainment within walking distance. Excellent experience.

Room was impeccably clean;. Customer service could not have been any better, really outstanding. Close walking distance to places to eat. Conference service (eg meals, etc,) were wonderful!!!

Hotel was just okay nothing out of this world, yet wasn t the absolute worst place I ve ever stayed. First room they checked us into hadn t been cleaned by housekeeping yet but the front desk staff was amazing & moved us to a clean room followed by putting a credit on our account. They were friendly and apologetic. Parking is a bit too expensive especially when their lot was always full, so the first night we did valet and the other night we chose to park in a garage about 5 mins down the street for $16. The walls are definitely paper thin though. We heard our neighbors blasting music and talking loudly for hours and that finally ended around 2 am or so. A big down fall is that there s also not a pool or hot tub for what s considered an upper class hotel, you d think they would have one. All in all if we came back to St. Louis I m not sure this would be my first pick.

Stayed here for a conference. Beautiful location, staff was very helpful. Room was nice. Good food options (Ruth's Chris and a brew pub as well as a quickie mart). Right next to the Arch.

Best hotel stay ever. It was so clean and the bed was super soft. The staff was amazing. The location made it easy for a Lyft ride to a local wine house for a date. If you want to visit St. Louis in style stay here. There are two restaurants on site, a parking garage, a gift shop, and a concierge. The photo is the view from our room.

Location of the hotel is absolutely perfect by the gateway arch and the cathedral. The Cardinals ballpark is also only a couple of blocks away. Room is spacious and updated, but bed is on the smaller side for a double/queen. No free breakfast. Service is great, everyone is courteous and friendly. WiFi is so-so, and parking is expensive. There's a parking garage next door where you can self-park, but space could be tough during gameday.

BEWARE!! will charge you any way!! I had a business trip to St Louis that got cancelled last minute...called our corporate travel and cancelled the reservation the same day and was told it was all ok only to be charged by Hyatt anyway! no receipt just posted to my company card a week later. letting Radius and Travel & Transport both know they are doing this, back to Hilton and Marriott where they know how to treat the business traveler

Absolute trash for a hotel that is supposed to be comparable to a Marriott hotel. Very little maintenance and it shows in the rooms. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are quiet, spacious and somewhat clean. The staff is so/so courteous and friendly.

This is not your typical 4 star hotel. I was not only unimpressed, but disappointed. Upon entering our room the lamp shades were dusty and the bed didn't have an actual fitted sheet, but just a sheet thrown on top of it. The AC did not work. The heater worked just fine but we couldn't get our room cold enough. It's small touches to me that you pay for the make your experience 4 stars. The TV was crooked on the wall. The typical essentials that presented with hotels were not there, you had to call downstairs to receive them. The hotel bar was no better. The bartender was not friendly and did not offer us a drink menu or food menu. After we asked for one the menu was stained and crinkled paper. Our appetizer was stale chips and fermented guacamole. My Tito martini was 18.00. We left and went to Trust right across the street and received better service and crafted cocktails at half the price. And the valet was ridiculous. It was 40.00 a night which is typical but not when you have to go down to the garage to get your own car. We were told that the call down service was not available and we were to take our things down the service elevator to P1 to get our car out. We will not return.

If every Hyatt Hotel is as awesome as this one is, consider then that I'll only ever stay at Hyatt Hotels. The staff at the downtown St Louis location is far and away the best hotel staff I've ever encountered in my entire life of staying in hotels. They always answered my questions and catered to my needs quickly. These people deserve great gratuity. Also surrounded by great eating establishments that also treat you right.
I was here for 3 days, and always a pleasure encountering anyone who work here. Congratulations, Hyatt St Louis, you made the top of my list of hotels anywhere!

Woman that checked us in was pretty rude, I know it was late, but that is your job. Shower walls still had prior guests hair stuck to it. No trash bags in any of trash cans. None of the ice machines worked. The bed was very uncomfortable, however the pillows were amazing! To top it off, shower had no water pressure.

Hotel is the venue for Cardinals baseball winter event. Employees are always courteous. But I was disappointed this year when one of the presentation rooms was deemed to be out of service on short notice. There were many ticket holders who had to stand in the hall and strain to be able to hear a very popular speaker. Seems like the hotel should have offered a better solution.

The hotel was at an awesome place, just besides the arch. We took a room with the view of the arch and it was worth it. The staff was helpful. The only thing was that when we arrived their parking garage was full and we had to take the parking somewhere else which was quite shady.

Didn't actually stay here, just wandered in to check out the place. Refilled my water bottle with some cucumber lemon water (wasn't great) and went to the bathroom. The lobby felt very busy with more people coming in and out than I would expect at that time of day. IT seemed like there was more than one wedding happening.
