It s ideally located for the Gateway Arch. Or for a ball game at the Cardinals. Some rooms have a decent arch view. For a large conference hotel the bar is happening. Well cleaned. The only issue is the elevators might keep you waiting in a morning to get to the lobby for your Starbucks.

We came to St Louis for a Cardinal baseball game. My husband found a great rate at the Hyatt so we booked it. The hotel parking ($29) was full ....our options were Valet ($39) or 1/2 block away at the Mansion House Garage for $14. We chose saving money and do this parking again. The line to check in was LONG and we thought "oh no! This will take forever", but additional staff opened more check ins and our queue time was about 5 minutes. The lady who checked us in (Carrie or Cassie) was very gracious and helpful. My husband had checked in on his phone and had received a message with room number and confirmation that it was ready priority to arrival which was helpful. Three of the service elevators were out of commission, but this did not noticeably impact our wait time. Our room met expectations. ..clean, quiet, up to date, and typical of Hyatt hotels. Although our stay was not perfect, the staff made the difference. Because of sharing the elevators with Housekeeping, Bellstaff, Engineering, etc, they all remained positive and professional. The hotel was an easy walk to the stadium, arch, and restaurants. We would definitely look to stay here again.
Had a conference in this hotel my room was missing a few things I ran into a worker from the event set up department that just didn't really seem to care, a few minutes later I run into two sisters working in the event set up department who took care of my problem ASAP the two young ladies were extremely professional
The family suite was an awesome room, huge. At a great rate also. The hotel facilities were excellent. A decent location in St. Louis. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. We were checked in by an extremely friendly and pleasant lady named Jenny. Would recommend.
The rooms are very modern, have a fantastic view of the arch. Right in downtown St Louis. Very comfortable beds. Decent selections of places to eat in the lobby.
Staff was friendly and rooms were clean but the walls are PAPER THIN. We got woken up both nights from the people next to us, we could hear EVERYTHING. Parking is $40 a night, location is good but we will def not be staying there again. They really need to do something about the thin walls.
Let's start with the staff. Found the valet, to the front desk, to the operator, to the engineers, to the housekeepers, everybody has been bending over backwards to make my stay that's pleasant as possible. The room is a little dated. The bathroom door handle is a little loose, the toilet sometimes you have to jiggle the handle to make the water stop, and the thermostat is All or Nothing meaning you're either cold or you turn it off and get hot. The pillows are all interesting so I would suggest bringing your own. If you like a firm bed you will be happy. The comforter is thin so you may want to ask for another blanket or turn that thermostat up. Views amazing though if you like the city and the arch. Thirty bucks to park here. Spend the extra ten on the valet. Four stars because three and a half of them go to the staff. They all have been amazing. They should get ten Stars.
Paying for valet is a bit confusing if not paying cash but the valet attendants and the room for event I attended was wonderful. I enjoyed my visit and recommend it highly.
First off..I like the location being right next to the Arch, being close to Bush stadium, shopping, and places to eat. Now for the not so good. Anytime you left your room or the hotel,it was a 20 min wait for the elevator and when you did finally find one it was usually packed so you had to cram in. I didnt like that the thermostat in the room would let you take it down to 62 but at best it would only reach 75. Last but not least we were packing and getting ready to check out when we noticed the condition of our sheets and comforter as you can see in the pictures. When paying for a higher priced hotel I would hope you could atleast get clean sheets.Highly disappointed in my stay with the Hyatt and would not return to this hotel
I am still in disbelief. There was a BAT in my room. Can you imagine running(half dressed) out of your room at 1am. I heard noises earlier that passed off as normal hotel issues. Now I know it was the bat scratching through the vents. Stayed there for a work conference so I was hesitant about changing my travel orders. I will say guy that came to assist was nice to offer comp breakfast but I missed it because I overslept due to lack of sleep. I do understand things happen but very unbelievable experience.
The room was nice & clean. I was here for a conference so I was here for almost 4 days without leaving. The gift shop is way overpriced and there are Limited resturant options in the hotel & close by.
This location was great for the conference which I attended. The rooms were clean and the recreation center had enough weight and aerobic equipment that many people could comfortably exercise.
The staff has been wonderful, out bathroom smells a little bit like smoke. And is also quite bland for it being an executive suite. Most everything else is great though. Would stay again.
Despite the pet friendly status advertised on Expedia - and NO mention of associated fees, we were hit with a $100 pet fee AND $50 deposit, more than doubling our bill.
A very nice hotel in a fantastic location. A nice lobby (aside from the very loud escalator running through the middle). A nice room, but housekeeping needs some work as the shampoo in the shower was empty when I arrived and amenities like qtips were not replaced during the stay. The regency lounge was excellent - great staff, seating, views and breakfast.
Whiskey in the winter was as awesome as ever. One of the best events ever. Bathtub in the room could be better; drans slow and looked dirty before use.
The hotel room was clean, spacious and inviting. The staff were all so kind and helpful. Very close to the arch, Cardinals stadium and eateries. Will stay here again.
The location was very good, but construction made the walk to the arch a bit longer than normal. Its a very nice location to get around and see a lot of downtown
Gary helped us with our car and luggage . He had 5 star customer service . We arrived on a Thursday night with our 3 kids . We are traveling from Chicago back home to Austin. We had some amazing steak at Ruth Chris's steakhouse . The food was great, local beer was great, hotel was very clean. Bar service was good. Very pleased with this stay. Not one bad experience .
View is the city and the arch, over looking Bucsh Stadium. The staff was extremely nice. Breakfast was great and the room was fantastic. I always try to stay at a Hyatt if possible and would recommend this one to everyone.
My husband lost his wallet in the hotel room somewhere the maid found it and tried to buy some hair and things from walmart. Called to talk to the manager and he asked was we sure it was someone at the hotel but it was charges from the hotel but we never used his cards because the room was in my name and we paid cash. Needless to say we will never stay there again. I knew she was thief when she kept asking me are you sure you dont want us to clean your room after I told her no 3 times while asking for a do not disturb sign.
One of the best place in the city. Guest appericiated the friendly, Professional staff. Rooms was very cleaned and colorful always. The excpiriance was excillent.
I only gave this review 2 star because they had terrible customer service. When I arrived at the hotel, I was directed to park in the Self Parking. The parking attendant told me to take my paper parking ticket inside when I checked in and my room key would be activated for parking. Not once while I checked in or checked out did they mention additional charges for parking. I was asked for my credit card for incidentals as standard but I was not told I would be charged extra for parking. They specifically told me that my hotel room charge would be what was charged upon checking out. When I checked my back account I had another $30 parking charge. When I called the hotel to inquire about the unknown charge, they indicated it was for parking. They said parking is listed on the website and that there were signs posted about the additional costs in the parking garage. There were no signs indicating charges for guests staying in the hotel. I was a little put off that I was not told about the additional charges or given other options for parking. I did not authorize the hotel to charge my card for anything other than my room charge or "incidentals" which did not include parking. They refused to reimburse parking charges. Deceitful.
