Inside pool closed for private event Today the projector broken for kids cinema on inside pool...could be better for a 4*.

Very friendly staff, amazing atmosphere. Got to check in early. BEAUTIFUL! Has everything you need in one place. Can't wait to go back!

A hidden gem. While we were there we saw a wedding and some conference goers. It was during the school year so not many families but I feel like in the "on-season" it'd be hopping.

It was great I play golf Saturday morning. The 3 hold can be better but it was ok. The service was really good everything was nice and clean. I was on the 2 floor.room was really cleand and I had a nice view.

I can't think of anything to complain about at this resort. Everything was clean and nice. The pool was facing the bay which was nice view. They offered plenty of activities (kayaking on the bay, jet skiing, etc.). The food at the restaurants was good. Overall a great experience.

Beautiful and safe environment for families to enjoy some time away. Good restaurants, multiple swimming pools, game room, golf and other activities are there for their guests to explore.

Overall, we were very happy with our stay here. The rooms were lovely, quiet, and had blackout curtains. There were several other families in the rooms around us, but we couldn't hear them at all.

We chose the Bed and Breakfast option and do not regret it at all. The breakfast buffet is included with this option, and kids under 5 get the buffet for free. The buffet is nice, but not necessarily something I'd pay $23 a person for had we not done the B&B option. The omelette bar was pretty great, though!

Attended a Couples event for our congregation. Comfortably quaint rooms, staff was friendly and distant (in a good way). The restaurant, Waters Edge, had a nice menu with good food. Nothing spectacular about the selection but did have a nice touch. Great amenities which included large Arcade, Billiard section, open area for bar, and nice pool. It also has a Golf course, I was not able to enjoy it for timing reasons.

What a beautiful place. The rooms are nice and roomy with a nice balcony on some. The food was very good. They have an indoor and outdoor pool and jacuzzi. I definitely want to come back in the summertime so I can enjoy all the amenities

Way too yuppy for me. It a "may I take your hat sir" kinda place.

Nice facility, but parking stinks. Have to walk a mile to and from your car. Almost not exaggerating on that. Staff very nice.

Lots of ground to cover. We booked a stay here for a two night short weekend getaway this past weekend. The resort has all the makings to present a magnificent experience and we ve been to Hyatt Regency s before so I ll admit past experience expectations definitely existed. I ll highlight the positives first - the pool, movie night and game room for children (thought we did not have ours with us) were fantastic. The Spa - also fantastic. The grounds look like they d be lovely in season and the concierge I spoke with was an absolute asset as she truly offered the experience I expect from a resort like this. The valet service was appreciated and not overly priced - also nice.

Our check in process seemed smooth and easy until we arrived in our room and this is where, sadly, a downhill spiral began. We were double charged for our stay and to date - this remains unresolved (2 days now since checkout). We had made our reservation online and naturally a hold was put on our card for the stay. We arrived to check in and another identical hold was placed on our card by the registration staff. We called the front desk - they apologized and said, with little concern but very fast explanation, that one hold would drop off eventually. Mind you this erroneously locked up approximately $800 of our otherwise available funds while we were at this resort. For some, that error could be financially debilitating - not an acceptable accidental overcharge / hold; especially because no effort to correct it was made. I went to use the bathroom in our room, the toilet had not been cleaned. I ll not detail how that was obvious. The hotel carpet had not been vacuumed so I stepped barefoot on a plastic price tag attachment and crumbs left in our room from the previous patron. So very Frustrating as this of course leaves you wondering what else wasn t properly cleaned? The sheets??? Fortunately it did appear we had clean linens. The front desk offered apologies and a change of rooms for these discoveries though. Not convenient, but at least a solution.

On to the hotel amenities - The full service hotel restaurant had a lovely menu (the Brussels sprouts were awesome and I mean this!) but the ambiance looks like an 80 s cafeteria which absolutely didn t match the menu cuisine or price point. Table cloths draped to the floor would go a long way to making the space more upscale to match its menu and replacement of the cracked vinyl chairs would help too. We spent slightly more than $200 on 2 people for mid tier, casual dining. 2 seafood Appetizers, Steak, Rockfish and wine were our selections. The food was good. The service matched the cafeteria ambiance but tried hard to be more and that counts for something. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable and provided a good experience.

We ordered breakfast delivered to our room the first morning & actually laughed when it arrived in to go containers in a brown paper shopping bag. We laughed because at this point - we had made a choice to have a great weekend and not expect this to be a nice resort experience but rather a budget based weekend getaway. But we did ponder, why wouldn t the Hyatt deliver the room service on plates with real utensils? Again - we laughed out loud. The breakfast was on par with McDonalds but that was ok, we are absolutely comfortable in admitting we are fans of McDonald s breakfast sandwiches and coffee and it was nice to be able to enjoy something like it via room service in the comfort of our Hyatt Regency Resort room. Ha ha

Overall we d say this resort needs updating but where they really need to focus is on what we are choosing to assume was their off season foot forward presentation, as it seemed to be quite below par.

We realize we may have just landed on fluke scenarios this weekend but we happened upon other guests (2 other couples) who were experiencing a number of frustrations as well and that collective added up to the hotel not earning the best reviews this weekend.

Great for solo trip, family stay/vacation or couples getaway. They've got it all - bars, several pools, activities for adults and kids, restaurants with tasty menus, a beachfront with watersports. Amenties/stores across street but you feel secluded and far away.

This is a review for my stay at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake resort. I stayed for one night, 3/9/21. The reason for the stay was just for a peaceful getaway from home. Unfortunately did not have a good experience, wanted to write this to let others know what to expect before planning a future trip.

Arrived, front desk was pleasant. No problems here, accommodating and helpful as this was my first time visiting. Then decided to go to the pool/spa. The place was filled with children under the age of 10. While in the hot tub, about 7 kids started to jump into the hot tube. No masks, no concern for social distancing. I guess this is mainly the responsibility of the parents, but staff did not care. Felt very uncomfortable decided to go to the adult hot tub outside, had a young teenage girl with friends in it, decided to just give up on the spa experience.

Then went to the restaurant for an early dinner. Service was good. Server was good, food was fair. No complaints from dinner.

After dinner decided to go to the gym for a quick work out. Found a teenager working out without a shirt on. Sweating on equipment, not cleaning it off. No mask. Again, felt uncomfortable, this was the first time I had been around people without masks, was concerning to me. Decided to give up on the gym.

Then went to the small sand beach by the water, they had a fire pit going. Was relaxing. Thankfully no kids running around. This was the best part of the stay. View was great.

Called it a night after the fire pit, room was clean. No complaints. Slept well. One of the first opportunities in along time to sleep in. Asked for a late check out which was not a problem. Was awakened early by a maintenance worker outside power spraying the building. Window was closed, but loud machine was heard for hours. Could not sleep, room service was cleaning the room next door, she was playing a radio which was loud. This was the exact opposite of peaceful. I came looking for a peaceful/calm getaway. Instead, had power washer blasting, room service radio keeping me up. Was so aggravated I just left early.

Just wanted to post this review so that you know what your getting. Seemed like a child/family centered place. Not the best for couples wanting a quiet getaway. Felt that it is common sense to not blast loud machines early in the morning, guess not for this establishment. I had high hopes for this place but was let down. One of the worst stays I have ever had at a resort . Be aware.

This is my go to location for a quick road trip. I started staying here years ago when my son was in middle school. Now he's 23 and still has fond memories of this place. It's great for families (great kid-friendly activities), those that like the outdoors, and lovers. The guest rooms have been nicely appointed. Besides not having a microwave, I have no complaints. The nooks and crannies AKA seating throughout the hotel make it ideal for intimate conversations or great people watching. The workout room was ideal for someone like me who needed to get in exercise without a crowd. It was clean, with lots of cardio equipment to choose from. If you're on the fence about this place. Give it a try! Hopefully you too will come to enjoy it as much as my family and I do.

Fantastic location and some of the best hospitality on the Shore.

Had a weekend getaway here for our combined bachelor and bachelorette trip. We were able to organize a full agenda including kayaking, a wine tour and tasting at Laytons Chance winery, and a dinner in the resort's Lantern Room - which overlooks the bay from the top floor. We were also lucky enough to make smores at the outdoor firepit and played beach volleyball until 2 am with all of our friends. SO GREAT!

Hotel was beautiful to behold, relaxing and clean. Staff was friendly and attentive to the needs of guest as well. However, only one elevator was operative for the whole weekend and they informed us that stairs were for staff use only...

This hotel is one of the best I've visited. I love the various alcoves and seating areas throughout. The views amazing and our room was spacious and comfortable. They offer valet parking which is great because the parking lot can be a bit of a hike to the hotel. A must is the spa. I got a facial, by Kate, which was wonderful.

Beautiful place! Good food. Helpful staff. Been here multiple times. Wish the pool didn't close Sooo early! Especially... Summer months 6pm!

Nice hotel that is right on the Chesapeake Bay with indoor and outdoor pool, spa, walking trails, golf, mini golf, volleyball and even a fire pit for smores. Restaurant was nice, went on a Sunday and almost had hotel to myself. Cambridge is a small town that has a very cute historic district.

It's like a touch of heaven there everything is so beautiful. The staff is great some of the nicest people you will ever meet. I don't drink but the food there is always excellent. There is a beautiful view of the Choptank River.

Very nicely appointed resort that is well kept and has plenty of amenities. Multiple pools is nice and allows for separation of different categories of swimmers. The staff is curteous in my few interactions with them. The meeting rooms are large and have decent acoustics. The large bar area is very nice for social events afterwards.

I attended a company retreat at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the food wasn't bad. Of you eat at the restaurant get the NY strip. That knocked my socks off. The only thing that bothered me was that the meeting rooms were infested with fruit flys. Hopefully they get these taken care of soon.

Nice, clean facilities and friendly staff who will go the extra mile for you. Pools are nice and spacious, but the private beach is a bit lacking. Don't come here for a beach experience.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful, room was nice. My 2 star review is based on negative encounters we experienced with the staff. We were at the hotel on vacation with several of our family members. We decided to do a bond fire, hotel staff came over asking us for room keys because someone allegedly stated we were uninvited guests. Next day we go out to the pier again hotel staff come over and asks us for room keys again. Each day we showed them our room keys only for them to say ok and leave no apologies or anything. I did not witness the hotel ask other guests at random for room keys only our group. Needless to say it was by far the worse experience I've ever encountered with a hotel, which is very unfortunate because I always stay at hyatt hotels. This experience definitely makes me rethink where I will stay on vacation.

Nice location on the water. Good amenities. Nice standard rooms. Friendly staff.

The views are nice, the golf course is great. The hotel has a lot to do from free yoga classes to kayaking, great fireplace, music, and more. Family oriented, but good for everyone in my opinion.

Here for a conference. Staff was attentive and friendly. Was in a recently renovated room. Very nice, clean and modern. Food was good.

Beautiful, peacefully, serene and incredibly accommodating. I have been several times over the past years both for personal vacation and to film many weddings held there. Great destination resort for an event.

Excellent room - excellent view from the room - excellent service - excellent staff - excellent prices - just an overall excellent resort. My wife and I had sort of an romantic get-away and it was excellent. I have to give a shout-out to one particular staff member - pool staffer life guard - Judith R. She was fantastic - great talker and listener. Handled all our concerns with professionalism. She was EXCELLENT!!! Thank you JR, you are the best. God bless and stay safe.

This is a beautiful hotel. However, during a retreat meeting, in the ballroom, there were roaches. It is too bad that this happened. I hope they are able to fix it.

Clean room issues and pool was green but management eventually addressed it. Overpriced Food and activities for the quality. Beautiful views and nice but service levels could be better for a 4 star hotel.

They layout was a bit confusing and I was dispointed with then adding a resort fee at the very end of my stay after previously having asked about fees and that not being included.

Stayed here during the weekdays. Very relaxing, clean, and customer service was outstanding.

Beautiful, elegant top notch property with everything you could need on site

Even though the amenities were reduced because of COVID, they still charged full price. No valet parking, no bell service, no room service and still charged the resort fee.

I always have a fun here 2 times every year since 2015 with my family. Good quality of service. But on sunday,had bad experience with Allison who is manager she told me.
She has to learn customer care first before get manager position. She had made rude remarks to me.She made my family member feel bad during stay. Hopefully not to see her next visit!!!

We had a wonderful time during our stay. There is so much to do, but also quiet enough to do nothing @ all. The location of hotel is great. Not too far but still away from everything. Our room was well maintained with a beautiful view of the river. All staff interactions were great from the front desk to restaurant to random person waking down the hall.

The rooms are well appointed, food at the restaurants is good, and the cozy atmosphere is so relaxing.

We have a very large indian wedding taking the Hyatt for the week, and we are super happy with the space. It is beautiful and very well manicured. The small qualm is that our party is giving them a lot of business, and they would not budge on price points per room -- this is irregular.

Loved it! Kids had a blast and parents got to chill. Great service and plenty to do!

The resort as a whole is beautiful, but it is the staff that truly makes it memorable. Highly recommended for a family getaway!
