I got a spa package with my bff for Christmas and could have stayed in the spa with a book all day. It's not just a massage or facial, it's an entire experience. You feel like you are leaving another world when you leave... which is hard to do.

So Not worth the price! This hotel tries to charge luxury rates, but does not deliver. At $400 a night we had to repeatedly complain about the large dog barking for hours in the room next door. We were told they were slod3 out and could not move our room despite numerous rooms that were obviously unoccupied. After showing manager pictures of filthy conditions in our room on day one and being promised they would make things right they neglected to even provide basic housekeeping on day two.

We were fortunate to have a small wedding reception at this lovely venue. Hilary Jones, the Events Manager was wonderful to work with! She and the other Hyatt staff made my son & now daughter-in-law's wedding reception very special. I would highly recommend the Hyatt!

Always a fun time here. Beautiful property. Their restaurants are pretty bad though. Blue point is okay, and their in house restaurant is less than okay and very pricey! One family meal at either place could easily equal the price of your room, so be prepared! Aside from the underwhelming food, our stay is always great! It's vet family friendly, and is well maintained. I think the rooms have been recently renovated too!

The hotel is really nicely laid out with great amenities. There was an issue with our room, in that it was not fully clean when we arrived (ciggertte butts on patio, hair in the sink). Hence the loss of a star. My wife and I hosted our 30th birthday in the hotel resort are Waters edge grill. The buffet was excellent and our guests all mentioned that they would love to return. Nicest scenery I have seen in Maryland.

Amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay here. There were so many activities that we rarely ever sat down. It was relaxing and fun at the same time. Absolutely top-notch place to stay.

Stayed from 6/22-6/24 first open after COVID-19, We took a risk but thought safer than later this summer since they open after 3 months hold from March. The facilities are great, not many people, weather was perfect for our family. First night on the aisle to our room was wet heavily (water leaks from somewhere) and we had to walk careful to get our room. Later that night, staffs need to come and clean up carpet. So they were sucking water from the evening and all those activities made us really smelly and noisy night, and second night was not really comfortable as well cause they ran dryer fan all day and night. Ice maker didn't work on our floor.

They did the best they could during this covid mess to make our stay nice. Just wish they could have kept the staff all employed, because you can tell they have less folks to.go around now to accommodate all the needs of the resort.

But my fur baby always loves coming here!

Very nice hotel, huge property. Here for corporate event and very impressed. Nice decor, excellent food and beverage service and efficient staff. Large nicely appointed guest room, large open lobby and restaurant/bar. Spacious outdoor and pool areas and really nice conference facilities.

We have a business conference here every year and it's a great space with many options from small to large events. Good food, staff and service. They are always accomodating. Hotel rooms have plenty of room and if you get one with a water view it's a bonus. They need to have a microwave in the room, other than that the rooms are nice. The resort is great for kids and families as well with a lot to do. Would not be the place I would take my wife for a romantic getaway, too busy and too many kids.

The hotel is located right on the Chesapeake Bay with amazing views. It offers something for everyone with the golf course, large outdoor pools and indoor pool, and game room for the kids. The hotel is large and has three restaurants some opening for breakfast and lunch and others opening later for the late diners.

The staff was kind and practiced social distancing and there many hand sanitizing stations throughout the property.

The rooms were clean and had been remodeled to a modern theme. It had a small fridge and a large smart TV. The beds were soft and comfortable and even had automatic lights for nightly bathroom runs in the dark. The bathroom was large and had a shower tub.

The food in the hotel was good but is priced at hotel prices. Breakfast for two will run you around $35 as will a light dinner. The prices for beer and wine were reasonable at $7-$8

Some other amenities not listed above:

- Nightly S mores by the fire

- Waterslide

- Large fitness center with many treadmills, bikes and elliptical machines, and free weights (due to Covid there is a 45-minute limit per guest in the facility)

- Multiple hot tubs

- Walmart just outside the property

The hotel requires a mask to be worn at all times unless outside or dining at one of the tables in the restaurants.

Also keep in mind, Uber s were difficult to find but there were some private car services to get around. There were a few restaurants outside the property but it is a bit of a hike on foot to exit the property and there is really only a pizza place and a Walmart.

Clean but disappointing...$500 a night suite...sparsely and uncomfortably furnished, small dark bathroom, bed had seen better days, towels were thin...bare necessities in the room...no attention paid to small details. Balcony overlooking pools and river were about a foot wide...impossible to sit outside. Not a $500 a night room by any means.

I highly recommend a visit during the summer if you enjoy a lively family atmosphere. It seemed to be a lot more quiet and relaxed during our winter vacation.
We enjoyed our visit due to all the activities available at the resort and around it. Our favorite activity was probably kayaking on the bay, the water was a rough one of the days but it helped us work an appetite for dinner at the Water's Edge Grill.
Looking forward to a future visit for sure.

I traveled here with my elderly parents from PA. Everything was very clean. The staff seemed to be cleaning all day which made them feel at ease in this uncertain time. There is hand sanitizer everywhere you turn which is also comforting. We have been here several times before and will continue to come back in the future. Thanks to the staff for all your help, patience and for helping my parents relax. It was definitely needed.

My wife and I came for our wedding anniversary and were treated like VIPS. The room was great, comfortable bed, quiet, very clean. Dinner at Waters Edge was great! The pools are very nice. Overall very happy.

What a Covid oasis. Despite running at half speed plenty to do with the kids, pools, mini golf, frisbee golf, and tennis. Weekends are likely to be busier but for a midweek get away it hit the spot.

Fun place to get away for the weekend. Drinks at the bar were good. Pools were nice and clean. Room was excellent. The only item that upset me was the breakfast buffet, $18/person. Daughters and wife only had a bagel or doughnut and threst of the food was flavorless. Go to Dennys across the street for breakfast for a better deal and flavor.

The Hyatt Hotel in Cambridge is situated in what i...

The Hyatt Hotel in Cambridge is situated in what is essentially middle-of-nowhere Maryland; and as the surrounding area doesn't have many attractions, the focus has been turned inwards towards amenities and activities that can be enjoyed within the confines of the hotel grounds. Unlike some other resorts in its class who offer a multitude of poorly conceived activities and options (Marriott, Hilton, ect.,) The Hyatt manages to do just a couple things, but does them very well.
The building itself is lavish, houses an upscale bar and a decadent restaurant, both with a view across the Choptank River. For an even better perspective of the resort and the surrounding area, "The Crows Nest" is open for guests to experience a lighthouse themed perch.
The property offers three pools, the Infitiny, Cressant, and Indoor - the latter of which are kid oriented. The Cressant or 'activity' pool features a small, but decent waterside (with a 40'' height requirement) that has been built into the landscaping, and several water features for kids to enjoy. The indoor pool has a volleyball net installed, and also allows for inflatable rafts and innertubes throughout the day; and shows kid friendly movies every night. The Hyatt offers a kids center that will provide parents with peace of mind by occupying their children with activities that are actually entertaining and engaging, while freeing them a hiatus to enjoy the third pool, which is an infinity or 'endless' pool, and has full bar service available. The indoor pool building also has a unique hot tub with an indoor/outdoor design, allowing bathers to swim underneath a window pane to either side of the building. All the pools close at 10:00, while the hot tub remains open until 11:00 (and they're strict about this, we have tried to access the pool's after hours - only to be met with the prompt arrival of a security guard.)
During the peak season, the riverside terrace usually has a DJ, or other form of live musical entertainment set up throughout the day and manages to give off a very "vacation" kind of vibe, and feel like a true getaway.
Right up on the water, along their small, but functional beach head, they offer paddleboard and paddle-boat rentals for the immidiate area; and just a ways down the bulkhead they have a dedicated dock for jetski (Seadoo 2-seaters for $70/30min - which are less than thrilling topping out around 50 knots, but a fun way to explore the shoreline) and small out-board boat rentals.
One of the most notably pleasant (and surprisingly consistent) attributes of the Hyatt, is their incredibly amiable staff. Every member of both their faculty and staff is not just friendly, they are also knowledgeable and actually seem to be quite dedicated to ensuring that every patron has a pleasurable experience.
It's also worth mentioning that the whole property is accessible to anyone looking to dock up their boat at the adjacent River Marsh Marina for an access free of $15 per person, per day. This is a viable alternate to renting a room, although you will have to make the approximately 1/3 of a mile walk separating the dock slips and the terrace.
Overall, the experience is luxurious - and the price reflects it. But you actually get what you pay for at the Hyatt!
