I had made a reservation at the Embassy Suites in Palm Desert, and was very disappointed.
I checked around on line, and for not much more, the Hyatt was available.
It was great! I actually hardly left the hotel. I had breakfast either at the restaurant, or down the block at bar/breakfast place.
I would relax by the very nice pool for a few hours, shower, and was at the hotel bar for Happy Hour. I met a variety of people, mostly locals, at the bar, and after a drink or two, I was going back to my room for the news and room service.
My entire stay was great. Decent food, lots of fun, and great service.

Poor service in their restaurant. I walked in with my guest. At least 3 employees saw me and my partner. No one greeted us or asked if we needed a table. I asked if I should pick a table and I was told "sit anywhere you'd like" No waitress services for another 10 minutes and the food and appetizers were horrible.. Sorry

This morning, I checked out of room 3234 after a five day stay. Your Hyatt employees made this the best hotel stay I have ever had!
I was able to check in a little early on Wednesday and get into the delightful room that I shared with another member of our World Team Tennis team. We received free tickets to this weekend's Italian Festival from the front desk later that evening. The front desk agent hesitated when I gave him my room number. A moment later he returned with beautiful flowers that my four daughters sent to me for my 65th birthday which was 11/5. That was the beginning of a memorable stay.
Your staff sent a bottle of Pinot Noir and white and dark chocolate to my room with birthday wishes.
On Thursday we practiced for our tennis competition, enjoyed the hot tub and ate a sumptuous meal at your restaurant. My ribeye was followed by yet another birthday surprise--a special dessert from the Hyatt.
Each morning Jorge got me multiple cups of coffee to get me going and gave me a cup to go. He didn't charge me knowing I was returning for breakfast later.
On Friday and Saturday we won our tennis matches so we advanced to the championship match on Sunday. Jorge kept track of our progress. When we returned from our match (which we lost in overtime), the restaurant team had sent us champagne, excellent cheeses and crackers.
The kindness of your staff brought tears to my eyes. We may have lost but Hyatt treated us like winners.
Every interaction with your staff was positive from housekeeping to the pool staff to the concierge, the gift shop and the bar!
You have done a marvelous job in recruiting "people" employees with cheerful and helping attitudes.
I will recommend your hotel and hope to get the chance to return.
Sincerely,
Mary Benefield Seiverling

Our car was keyed (scratched down the side of the car) when we valet'd it yesterday. We were only there overnight. The valet's card which they mark 'dents and things' did not have the scrape when they had possession. I can't imagine if I was the manager knowing that the valet isn't trustworthy. Never stay at this property unless you're driving a car you don't car about.

The food and staff were actually very nice... but the actual physical property is old and tired. One of the main elevators didn't work at all during our trip - and with several big groups in town, it was a bit tough to get up to higher floor rooms.

I love coming on Thursday nights. There's two guys that sing really well, and one of them can sure hit them high notes. Very friendly people that work here and that come here. Oh by the way Thursday nights are Palm Springs' street fest. On Palm canyon dr. So much fun for the whole family!

I went with my mom for a girls trip to Palm Spring...
I went with my mom for a girls trip to Palm Springs to try and find a nice hotel to stay for 2 nights. When I asked one of the men at the front desk if they had a room available for 2 nights, he coldly brushed me off and said I won t know of anything for an hour (it was Around 12:30pm at the time). I asked again if he had at least an idea if there would be availability, since we were shopping around and could go someplace else, and he just said We don t have anything and I won t know of anything else for an hour .
So a resident who overheard the conversations came up to me afterward and told me that they had many rooms available online and that I should check Hotel Tonight for a room since it was apparent that the hotel had rooms available online.
I went on Hotel Tonight and found a room (many rooms) available for that night, so I went back to the front desk guy and showed him the app. He looked at me and said ok, well you can book on that app if you want . And i said you said you can t help me but I found a room available on this app? And he said you can book on that app if you want, but I can t help you for an hour . Every time he spoke to me he looked up from his computer and then right back down again.
Side note, the man who witnessed this interaction; came to me afterwards and told me he was leaving in the middle of his stay there to find another hotel because he had a terrible stay there and that the hotel was not a good experience (no surprise after this customer service experience I reveieved)
I have worked at a hotel so I am fully aware of the respect that is required to give to guests at a hotel. It was extremely disrespectful and rude the way he reacted to me and I expected the Hyatt to hold higher standards for their employees. I am very regretful that I didn t get the employees name so I could personally write the hotel manager about who this employee was.
We ended up staying at the Renaissance at Marriott and having a much more positive, welcoming experience.

Very comfortable, slightly dated, concept right in the middle of the touristy action in PS. BE AWARE: there is no hotel parking, other than valet. There is street parking in the dim and dank section behind the Hyatt. As an aside, the valet folks are very considerate!

Website says pool open 6am to 10pm daily.. At 8 am they were cleaning and was told we can't use pool yet 2 times at 9pm we were told the pool closes at 9.. I checked in there was an issue with third party got it taken care of then the next morning I woke up to a one night charge for the room without a warning... Anytime u charge something to the room like bar service at pool or room service hotels never charge u that day it is always at end of stay at check out but again there was a surprise charge of bar pool charges I didnr even make it was roommates.... The bar st pool says open from 11am to 5pm for drinks and 12 to 5 for food but first day we came the bar closed st 2 for food claiming hardly no one here so the bartensder3 wanted to leave.. This whole. Stay here st this hotel was horrible and wasn't worth the money they charge.. They should have just canceled our reservation and closed the hotel because after this I'm sure there will be lots of complaints

Very accommodating on a Holiday weekend after leaving our previous hotel. Everything for the most part was fine. I had a great view and I enjoyed their cocktail hour. Minor issues was that the pool was kind of small for all the people there and my steak at the restaurant was just OK.

This is a fairly average hotel and for the price, is not a 4 star nor a 5 star hotel. Generally it is okay, but there are few, if any, amenities that really stand out and the room is VERY outdated. Low end bath products, cheap coffee (yes starbucks but in a prepackaged drip format). Our curtains facing the front of the room were worn and torn and the bed was lumpy. The toilet ran all night(s) and the shower head dripped (great in a drought prone area). Best feature of the hotel is the location.
Hotel service, where experienced was okay - but nothing greater than any other hotel in Palm Springs.
For the cost of this room, it was a great disappointment and I won't stay here again.

Very poor quality very bad service. Simple thing I paid for breakfast when I got the room and asked them I do breakfast every morning so I want that included desk said yes I paid for it up front with the room I ended up paying for every breakfast we ate for 3 days of stay. We went to the room we found underwear and bloodstains on the bed sheet I went down stairs and complained the front desk had the nerve to tell us we did it and it's our underwear I lost it we told them you just gave us the room. Short word said it was a very bad experience.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. We hosted a conference here and not only did the staff refer to my employees as expletives, but they were not helpful, they were rude, there were people screaming at front desk staff at midnight for being violated, dogs everywhere and rooms that reaked of cigarette smoke. I will be filing a lawsuit for the treatment from the staff and "security."

The hotel was in an ideal location, near a multitude of shops and restaurants. The rooms were decently priced, and we're very clean upon entry. The staff was very professional and courteous. Our suite came with four complimentary beverages at the hotel bar. The drinks were a little strong but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Valet service is $25 a night, which is very respectable. So far a very pleasant experience.

Definitely the best part of this particular hotel ...
Definitely the best part of this particular hotel is the valet parking attendants they have a great service where you have the ability to text them to have your car ready upon arriving downstairs as well as the standard use of tickets. During my 4 night stay. I had to have several room changesupon arrival I was placed in room 5:01 which if you've never been since particular I'll tell him you actually go into the lobby up the elevator to the fifth floor and you're still within the air condition portion of the Hyatt however this particular room you need to exit the main part of the hotel go down and exterior corridor where I found 5:01 which was located in a corner. Upon arriving in room 501 I quickly discovered that the air conditioning was insufficient and not workingI didn't went down to the front desk to inquire about a room change due to the fact that they are just was not working the front desk staff instead of being accommodatinginform me that the hotel was full and that there was nothing he can doI found his response to be unacceptable and completely unprofessional. and to make matters worse this is on a particular night when the room rate was $400 a night. FYI Hyatt please expect my letter. In addition to the air conditioning not working I found the room to be dingy also with a slight musty or tangy odor. the following day I went back down to the front desk 0 in which I upgraded myself to a VIP suite VIP suite is overrated the reason I'm saying is overrated is because of the location of the bedroom it is almost impossible to hear the doorbell or any type of knocking going on at your front door due to the location of the bedroom a pretty much drowns out all noise. Also the entrance of the four years of The suite has a really funky entrancebecause you notice that when you walk into your sweet that there's also a door on your immediate right that door is for an adjoining room to make it a two-bedroom suite I guess they had brunch at that particular room out for the evening so any and all noise and activity that takes place in that room you can hear and I always work with the assumption if you can hear them they can hear you.

Stayed in the Hyatt Palm Springs in August. Will never stay here or in a Hyatt ever again. Reception staff are snotty. Room service deliverer lingered in our room for a long time, looking around which I perceived to be spying. Parking is a huge pain especially if you have a lot of bags. Very unpleasant stay.

The room were very nice. All staff is very accomodating and friendly. Special mention to gorge. The one who dropped us up in the airport. I left my phone in van and he drove back to the airport togive it back to me. My boarding pass was downloaded in my phone and theres no way i could print a copy in the airport. That was very nice and helpful of him. If there is a 10 star, its definitely for him. Thank you for all the staff of hyatt palm spring.

Stayed for 2 nights. Front staff was very friendly. Stayed in 1 king bed suite. All furniture in the room was dirty. Couch, chair, ottaman in all honesty it grossed me out. The floors were so dirty that our feet were brown. Feel like there needs to be more attention to detail on cleanliness of rooms and furniture.

I have long anticipated my stay at Hyatt Palm Springs . However, My stay was less than I would've expected. After a 35 minute delay in out ability to get in to room, quite a few guest were left waiting pass check in time. staff didn't go through any of the introductions. And didn't provide any information .I.e.check out time. Bars hours .room service hours. The elevator had missing wall tiles and smelled of burnt wire.. Leaky faucets in the bathroom.
The Pool Area was way under Par . filthy pool area rest rooms with broken locks on the door.Pool area sign says open from 600am - 10:00 pm. Obviously Management doesn't do a walk through...because at 6:00am is when staff was cleaning(picking up towels) from the night before..,When I went down to.pool at 8:30 am...there were dirty food plates from last night still left out .and the old fruit flavored water empty left out(ugh). All glass walls were in need of a good whipe down. To say that I was disappointed to spend my birthday weekend in this place ,would be a understatment . The only thing that Hyatt Palm Springs has going for it is The Location.

Well what can I say about this place. This has to be one of the most traumatizing experiences I've ever had. Someone fell from the 6th floor and the body was right in front of my room for 5-6 hours. They never asked if we can switch our room and all the employees were acting like it's not a big issue. In fact one of the employees referred to it as a "funny accident ", I'm not sure what he meant by that but this is a person, at no time should this be considered "funny". When we asked them about it they just smirked and stood quiet. We tried to enjoy ourselves but the image was burned into our memory. I know this doesn't happen often but they could have handled this situation so much better.

Only street parking unless you pay $25 a night for valet overnight. Both bed and pullout bed springs were terrible for my wife and I. They forgot my bagel for room service, but they did bring it promptly when I called it in. The fact it was a suite with a tv in the room and with the couch was great with two kids. The tub faucet leaked the whole time and when someone came when we called they said we could move but it couldn't get fixed unless they turned the whole hotel's water supply off, sounds a little bad on their part. Other than that the tub/ shower worked fine. Would recommend just using the couch without the pullout bed next time.

Staff is friendly and attentive, the building is well maintained and well designed, rooms are spacious and offer both mountain and city views. Great for conferences that need large and small meeting spaces.

Where do I start. I will say this the hotel is definitely not ready to be open to the public. This place ruined my two day experience. The 1st night I was in a room where the air condition broke it was broken when I walked in I called in 5 times throughout the day, finally, at 10:30 PM ( after tech came in room dirtied the carpet, left the ceiling cap open and still, did not fix)I got some front clerk that stated she could put me in another room, called the "parlor" room basically with just a bed and that is it! Or,I can take her up on her offer to give me ice chips to put on my wrist! Next day I wake up very early in the am simply because I could not sleep all night in the 100 heat in my room it was actually cooler outside than in my room. The next day I go downstairs to once again find out what they're going to do the only good thing they have there is a lady name Dawn, she tried her best to accommodate me by putting me in another Room. I then had to go back upstairs pack again repack all my stuff then take it downstairs to the front lobby change keys check in again and go to my other room. When I got there the TV's were not working so the engineer came right up turned out they just were not plugged in why would the housekeeper unplug the TV's or anyone for that matter? I have no idea. I go to the pool I come back to take a shower the shower is broken not working at all. I was done, I was done with this place they are clearly, clearly, are not ready to open. I go to this Hyatt at least 4 times a year and this service was no where near what I usually expect. Last point, there are way too many people in that hotel for that small pool you have to go early in the morning like 7:00 a.m. and reserve your chair if you are past 7:00 a.m. just know everybody else has already saved their chairs with towels even know they show up 4 hours later. Worst experience ever!

Loved staying here for our Palm Springs vacation. Room was huge, could have accommodated four adults. There was a spacious balcony that overlooked the main strip. It wasn't noisy at all and the staff provided ear plugs just in case. We didn't need them. TV had a minor glitch but was was fixed immediately upon request. Hot tub was wonderful if a bit too much chlorine. The restaurant was just okay. Elevator was being fixed which was a little inconvenient. All in all, a great place to stay. Our concierge, Yolanda, was a wonderful assistance!
