The property is showing its age, with the slowest elevators that I've ever seen on the west coast. A lack of outlets plague the rooms. However, the staff and service experts is what one expects from a Hyatt. The location is fabulous, right in downtown Palm Springs.
Great hotel, very comfortable, pool, gym, games, etc.
Great location with everything within an easy stroll of the lobby. Clean and up to date facilities. Parking was easy too.
Hotel and room were nice and modern but the bathroom needed severe updates, the toilet doesn't flush well and the water pressure was nonexistent
This place needs a remodel. Rooms are overpriced and the outdoor bar on a Saturday night was closed which was disappointing.
No hot water, no Wi-Fi and room key card failed every night.
Problems reported every day of my five-day stay.
I'm a very loyal Hyatt member. This place has gone down hill in the 20 years I've been staying for the Palm Springs International Film Festival.
Someone from Hyatt Corporate needs to audit their operations.
This really tarnished the World of Hyatt brand!
The Hyatt palm springs is located in the amazing downtown strip area of Palm Springs. Tons of restaurants and tiny shops, perfect to walk down at night when it's cooler. The rooms are very nice and clean. We originally were going to have a room with two double beds for three guests, but the gentlemen at the front desk upgraded us at no charge to a king suite with a fold out couch in the front. Our new room also had a lovely view of the pool and the mountains. Overall a wonderful experience!
Beautiful hotel, very accommodating staff and great rooms!
I only spent one night here, but it was clean and in order, if anything maybe a little too sterile compared to the rest of town.
From arrival to departure, our stay here was extremely convenient and in the center of all the action in Palm Springs. Jose was great at checkin. From the large L sectional in the room, to the breathtaking mountain views. Highly recommend splurging for the mountain view vs city view. Peter at the front desk went above and beyond to make sure our stay was excellent. Definitely will return for our next trip to Palm Springs!
Obtained a last minute booking for relatives to stay nearby for the holidays. Staff was friendly and helpful, and amenities were what I'd expect for a nice hotel.
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Centrally located with a nice pool and fitness centre. The rooms are pleasant but a little dated. The lobby area is also a little dated. I had a few meals at the hotel's restaurant-all good.
Great staff and terrific location to shops and restaurants in the heart of downtown Palm Springs. Pleasant views and lovely cocktail hour. Definitely give it try.
Amazing location. Great room service, cleanliness, and hospitality. They have a daily happy hour at 4. The rooms are stocked daily with shampoo water and coffee. so friendly and accommodating I can't imagine staying anywhere else.
Was a rainy day and the roof had multiple leaks in the area near the South side of the building near the conference rooms and restrooms. Other than that, the rest of the experience was very good. The staff at the front desk we're very helpful and the restrooms and conference room were clean.
Great location, swanky facilities and friendly employees. The only thing we don't like is having a mandatory $25 parking fee EVERY night. If that went away I'd recommend it to anyone.
Concierge is very professional and courteous. Room was upgraded. But the hotel needs major upgrade/renovation. Room didn't have the usual modern feel/neatness typical of a Hyatt. Toilet would flush periodically spontaneously, which was so weird. Other than that it's a nice hotel.
Beautiful place. Kinda bizzare to be such a big hotel in the middle of nowhere, but the staff and service is top notch. Would definitely love to come back.
I attended a daytime conference here and did not spend the night as a guest. The hotel is beautiful and easy to access. The staff were friendly and helpful. My only complaint was that the hotel only provided one carafe of hot water for our group. They apparently charge extra for more. How costly could it be to refill the dispenser, even at least once?
Was out here for a Yelp event and decided to stay here with one of my friends in room 436 on Sep 21st. The hotel is at a great location and is a good size with a nice cool lobby.
The room was great very spacious and great balcony overlooking the strip.
When we got back to the hotel at night I sat down on the sofa to watch t.v. I felt bites on my stomach but didnt think much of it, the next morning I noticed it was red and itchy do to a bug bites. I called to complain about it and left a msg for the director of operations, that never returned the call to make sure they got that room checked out.
Really hope the hotel took care of it, or got it checked out before anyone else stayed in that room.
Overall its a great place and location but they need to inspect the rooms and disappointed they didnt follow up on a call back.
Great value, but keep in mind that this hotel is over 30+ yrs and needs updating. Rooms are large and we had living space with adjacent balcony facing main Blvd. Staff was attentive but not overly friendly, I'm ok with that. Great location if you want to walk to restaurants and bars with plenty of newer upscale shops.
Excellent hotel with the best location in the city.
Nice hotel downtown in a prime location. Large suites, but dark bedroom located inside the hotel. Relatively large pool with rest option. From 4pm to 5.30pm small, free snack with drinks in the lobby! Room big and clean. Lobby with art exhibition in large hall. Very good breakfast in the restaurant. Valet parking. Nice staff at the front desk. Recommended!
My friend stayed here because we couldn't find booking together. I was impressed when she checked in that they were so attentive and helpful. The valet was great also. Her room was a beautiful suite and I almost fell asleep on the couch. This would be a great place to have a wedding or reception.
It's also in shop central so hold onto your pocketbooks because there is so much to spend on!
Bryan was a great front desk manager! (Oh and their bar entertainment rocks!)
Awesome lobby/Great Room/Room Corridor, all with about a 5 story high ceiling. Smack dab in the middle of Downtown, putting you in literal walking distance of everything.
I love this hotel, we stay for 1 night to explore around Palm Springs. Great location, delicious food, the only thing I have notice the building was so old and lots of cracks in the room, Need renovation. Overall was great except the building was so old and the mattress was not comfortable at all. There are lots of restaurants close by the hotel. This place in Palm Springs is good for tourist spot enjyoing the beauty of the desert was spectacular.
Definitely will go back soon, as soon as the temperature going down. Not in this summer though because it is so hot.
They have lots of shopping if you want to buy souvenir to your love ones when you go back home.
Rooms aren't super updated but they're fine and comfortable. The hotel is in a great location. The walls are a bit thin, heard some neighbor noise.
Our first day driving to the hotel our driver(employee of Hyatt)was dangerously driving and speeding risking our lives. Our room had been dirty, we asked for room service, they came but took all of our pillows and blankets and leaving wine glasses (dirty) behind. We schedule a specific time in which we re taken to the airport to get a rental car and our time was written down but we made sure to confirm the guy looks in the book there s our name bit says he can t do it. Awful service and a awful place I don t recommend going here because they ruined our vacation. The only reason I d rate this two stars is because of the incredible service at the pool, what we need is brought immediately with great service and food.
Poor cleaning, old dated decor, leaky faucets. Calling for service is a joke. No response other than the PR over the phone. Seals on outside doors are falling off and very visible.
I'll never come back to this hotel... mainly due to the lack of response to your guests needs!
Not pleased with the hotel itself, room was beautiful and service was good. Pool was way overcrowded and covered with trash and empty drinks all around including people throwing things at each other which hit some random people who were enjoying the stay, especially with the excessive heat of 112. The WiFi couldn't even reach the 4th floor where we were staying so it was jumping up and down non stop, even the pool area where i am writing this review was poor as well. The room number (405) was missing it's symbol. I found rust around the bathtub area as well. Elevator sounded like it was going to break down on us with all the loud noise it was causing. Overall, wasn't happy with the stay.
Now on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays they have live music again. Sing, dance and drink. Lots of fun!!
Went there for the Pride festival, had a blast with great music.
Most importantly the bed was very comfy and the pillows were the best ever, normally I take my pillow, but forgot it, I'm glad, there was no need for it. Lots of free extras. Munchies n drinks sodas wine beer for ALL guests for 1 hour. Get the pool view and have ALL three views. POOL, MOUNTAIN AND STREET VIEWS, VERY NICE STAY, HOPE TO COME BACK AGAIN
This hotel definitely wasn't worth what we paid and I will never stay here again. The room wasn't very clean - the sofa had a big stain, the bathtub was dirty and had a very slow drain so when taking a shower the tub would fill up quickly, the shower curtain had mold on it, there was hair on the shower wall obviously from a previous guest, one of the pillows on the bed had a stain on it, the TV picture was fuzzy on most channels, the balcony had trash on it, and the pool water was dirty, and the worst part of it all on the day I was getting ready to leave I found a roach in the bathroom. That was the breaking point and we left right away after that. When I stay at a 4 star hotel I expect it to be very clean, I was absolutely disgusted by the bathroom alone. It was a great location, central to everything but I'd rather stay at the Renaissance hotel a few blocks from the Hyatt.
Classy looking hotel. Clean, very spacious, bright environment. Rooms are modern.
Great spot to stay if you want to hike the Skyline Trail
great location, nice staff, rooms are due for renovation
