Great rooms! The decor is a bit dated, but the rooms are spacious and the beds comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and I love the daily free "happy hour". Lost a star because it takes 3+ hours for requested items from the front desk to actually reach the room.

Great location, clean and spacious rooms, but the beds are honestly the worst beds I've ever slept on. Way too soft and they concave inward when you lay down on them. Pretty disappointed in the quality and could not sleep for 2 nights. I spoke with Deborah, the front desk supervisor, about my experience and she was so kind and understanding. She explained some of the rooms had older beds and they are in the process of replacing them with new beds. Unfortunately, we weren t able to switch rooms during our stay because it was a sold out holiday week, but Deborah compensated me for my stay. The really great customer service makes me want to stay loyal to the Hyatt brand.
Nice hotel, fair prices. Only downside is they do not have free parking it's either pay $20 for vallet or park behind the hotel on a dark and kinda sketchy street. But for the price of rooms they are very large rooms.
Really enjoyed my stay at the Hyatt Palm Springs. From the moment I arrived until the moment I left, I was well taken care of by friendly and helpful staff. In particular Yavley, Dawn and the guys in the bar/restaurant went above and beyond to make my stay as enjoyable as possible, highly recommend!
Being in the service industry one would expect a hotel to have top knotch customer service regardless of their actual room quality. Well I can confidently say that while the rooms are nice/clean/modern, the customer service is absolutely terrible. Upon arrival our rooms AC unit was only pumping hot air and it was a good 80+ in the room. After notifying the front desk, they assured us maintenance would look into when we were out to dinner. 4 hours later not a single change had occurred in our room. The front desk didn't have any sort of condolences and after some brief back and forth, they ultimately gave us a refund but there was no sort of apologies for the inconvenience.
While possibly a fringe case, I cannot recommend it based solely on the service experience. The room, again, was nice and modern and well kept, but if the service staff is any indication of the experience I'd absolutely say skip this place.
We had a great time and I didn't know what the issue was a waste of time and resources to the Fredrick the other day and last night when I finish my gig and can get down to the other.
I'm very impressed with the quality of service and rooms at Hyatt. They went above and beyond to make sure my stay was very pleasant. First, they allowed me to check in 5 hours earlier than what I was supposed to. Secondly the in house brunch buffet was great (they even had a chef standing to make individual Omelettes) Third, the room was overlookong the strip from the balcony area, had a nice living room area, and a clean and comfortable bed. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Good hotel. I was impressed with the architecture and the spacious rooms. We had a great view of the main strip and the mountains from a private balcony on the sixth floor. I am taking off one star only because they left the bar soap from the previous people on the shower as well as an opened soap bottle next to the sink. That just isn't hygeinic. From the top floor as well it is a little tough to get the rooms to cool down. Otherwise I would recommend the place. Also, top notch valet service. I would recommend it for the $27/night.
Nice rooms. Customer service could be better. Bartender was a bit unfriendly and they need to make sure both room keys will work before giving them to a customer.
I stayed here July 18-21,2020! We got an amazing deal of $120 a night plus resort fees and parking fees which I noticed and was ready for after reading the reviews, I knew I would have those! Ended up being $165 a night! I m giving 5 stars for the the overall experience for the price! We stayed in Palm Springs before and the other hotel was a little less nice and wasn t in downtown! The location couldn t get better! Prime spot! For the comments that say it s outdated.. it s not like San Diego or pismo hotels let s just say that! Way nicer! Updated and decorated appropriately! Def working with what they have. Hardly notice it s a tad older because the decor is on point. Great brand new pool cabanas! Even during covid so much seating, social distancing was easy! There staff is keeping it safe and has less employees so the restaurants aren t really open or room service until they get the okay! Bit you can leave and go eat anywhere else. But still so much fun and felt super safe during covid! If this was during spring and cooler times I would pay up to $300 in the prime months for this room! But not over that. I would want it to nicer if I was paying over $300! But I m very picky with hotels we love to go to Miami Nyc and Hawaii! But for the price and location the hotels is def worth it and will stay again! Can t wait to go back when the pool bar and restaurant is open!:)
Spacious rooms with an amazing view overlooking downtown. The beds were very comfortable and the staff awesome. Carpet needed updating but otherwise we were so pleased with everything!
I wrote a review last July on how horrible our stay and facilities were. They are just not getting back to me and can only help if I give them the email confirmation number etc. I mean they seriously think I have that after 8 months. If they would of addressed the issue in a timely matter, yes I may of been able to locate. Don t stay here it was awful and dirty
White stuff on the curtains. No shower curtain. Stains on the floor and walls. Gross. Bed was comfy but would have slept better if I wasn't thinking how gross the place was.
The Hyatt Palm Springs has the best staff of any hotel I have ever been to I am in Palm Springs on business at least once a month and there is no place else I would stay. Oscar has done a phenomenal job with the front desk staff. They live and breathe customer service. The housekeepers are exceptional the bartenders are exceptional the valet staff is absolutely phenomenal. This is the truly best staff at a hotel I have ever been to.
The meeting rooms are up to par, but I thought the common areas, and rooms were pretty dated. Half of building is torn down, and I wonder If the rest of it is next. The big dining area is in the center of the lobby/atrium, and the set up / meeting noise carries to all the guest rooms. Elevators and fittings are 70s vintage and everything can use some serious updating.
My favorite hotel in P.S., right in the middle of everything. The balcony overlooks the swimming pool and waking up to a golf course view on a sunny day, sipping a nice cup of coffee - what more can you ask for?
We wanted a connecting room with the kids, despite the phone request and the check in request, when kids room was ready, they assigned another room when the attached room with a door access next to ours was available. Tone of front staff at check in not welcoming nor warm. The executive suite 510 has a thin wall with an ice machine so noise all the time, pool noise till after 1030 after pool hours and no one monitors, early morning (6am) cleaning noise, bathroom sinks bubbles due to drain issues, AC unit noisy plus ongoing noise you can hear all the time inside 510. Not the Hyatt I know, the 2 stars is super generous and only because it s a Hyatt, yet a simple motel 6 would have been better for that one night honestly. Rest of staff and valet service v good. I have no problem paying 349 plus 20 resort fees plus 25 valet yet give me back what I deserve. Place was not even at 1/3 capacity. Wine and cheese is a nice thing the hotel does and it s in a nice lobby. Wish you monitor pool hours, consider removing that bean bag that you throw trying to get in the hole, it s noisy as hell ALL DAY. They thank all who give 4 or 5 stars yet hardly respond to any low ratings but ask you to call the management team to discuss. What good is it after the fact ?? If I did not care about their Hyatt name as it s slways been the best, I would not even take the time to tell them, yet I am not interested in discussing the past, easier to go somewhere else next time. Still a great bed and pillows yet service is just on the decline. One last thing, resort fee of 20 dollars, really?? Seriously?? sure if this was the Wynn or Venetian but we are talking about an out-dated hotel st this point that needs lots of work, what resort smeneties?? 25 for a valet, why ?? Are you parking it at the Taj Mahal ?? It s honestly not something I expected from a Hyatt in Palm Springs, this is not Chicago nor la nor San Francisco, be nice to your guests, they may come back. This place does not care for repeat business and no one is that illiterate to begin with, ask the CEO to come and visit this place, he will sell the property.
The owners don t care about either their customer customers or facilities. Our room was not ready as promised. Finally we got an exterior entry room and lied to about it being an upgrade. We have stayed at the hotel before and know what rooms were like. In addition, you are asking seniors to go into the cold and dark at night, which is against standard hotel safety guidelines. Trash had not been picked up. I had to complain to get them to reset the Internet modem so it would work.
UPDATE: I would give it negative stars if I could and definitely regret staying here so often in the past, but never again!
I stay at this hotel every time I'm in town for work and have been a loyal customer for quite some time. In the past, they have stuck me in the outside area of the hotel where the bugs hang out and enter your room at night. If bugs flying around inside your hotel room is not your cup of tea, avoid this place.
It s my fault for reconsidering this place. I stayed here again for work because it was conveniently located. They wouldn t let me book a 1 night stay so I went ahead and booked 2 nights and paid for the extra night. I called on the day of check in and spoke to a human being and explained to her that I would be there tomorrow. She agreed to check me in and hold my reservation. When I arrived the next day, they had already rebooked my room to someone else, even though my reservation was booked for both days and it clearly says that late check in is guaranteed on the reservation. The front desk manager, Oscar Trani, was rude and not helpful. No apologies for giving away my room even though I called the day before to ensure that it would be there. No offer to help at all. Just pushed my ID and credit card back in my face and went on with his life.
This is a great location but stay somewhere else. Your loyalty means nothing to the employees here and any apologies they make appear to be based on false pretense.
We had the pleasure of reserving a suite overlooking Palm Canyon. This is the third year in a row that our group has stayed in a suite on the night of the Palm Springs Holiday Light Parade. The hotel is beautifully decorated, excellent service and very accommodating. Highly trained staff.
Attended a seminar today with the conference room being set up professionally with all necessities for notes, pens, water, coffee, tea, and clean restrooms. The hotel personnel were very courteous and helpful.
This place is in a great location, has nice staff, and the rooms are big. Unfortunately, the rooms have not been kept up over the years. You will see peeling paint, water spots, dirty carpets and furniture, that you wouldn t expect to see in a room costing half as much.
They have a resort fee AND mandatory valet. This is absurd given the ginormous free public parking garage underneath the hotel. That garage doesn t allow overnight parking, so you are expected to park on the street! Resort here is a stretch! Most hotels have these fees so they can lie about the rate, but not many have BOTH fees. Hyatt standards such as extra blankets, robes, slippers, are missing.
Ideal location in downtown Palm Springs for easy walking access to shops and restaurants. Room was comfortable and spacious with a great view from the balcony. Front desk seemed a bit short-staffed but everyone was friendly and helpful.
Terrible place. No hot water, A/C did not work and 1 of 2 el3vators broken. This is the worst Hyatt u have ever stayed at. Staff totally indifferent. When I said that this hotel was not up to Hyatt standards the manager said the we are only a franchise. I would stay away from this place.
Right on the main street, within walking distance to downtown area. Complimentary beach cruisers available. Clean rooms, nice staff, quick elevator, cold pool.
It's a Hyatt there for the rooms are adequate. Parking is available it is downtown so walking to most establishments is easily accomplished. My main complaint is that they are building these things so you cannot see the mountains anymore from the walk along the street making it look like your walking in a cave. Truly ruining the ambience of Downtown Palm Springs!
I didn t have high hopes coming here but this Hyatt location and the staff here are something special
First, the staff are what makes this place shine! I feel like I can t go to another hotel because nothing can beat what a treat it was to be here. Need something? Quick service? Need a recommendation? They ve got you covered. Thank you Mauro, Josh, Yolanda and Ashley. Second, the welcome reception was a nice treat with a variety of food and drink options. Third, the pool and hot tub were great - well kept and warm with lots of nice seating outside. Lastly, the rooms were great and the beds were comfy!
Everything we experienced was beyond amazing. The only thing I can kind of complain about was a slight smell when we got to our room. I read the negative reviews and they sound a little entitled with some high expectations. Overall, they knocked it out of the park and our stay here goes down in the record books for us!
pros: good location - in the middle of tourist town. can do street parking nearby. friendly and patient front desk cons: very old hotel, you can tell that from every detail. Obviously they renovated the hotel but still very old and not very clean.
