My wife and I had an awesome time for our anniversary this past weekend. The overall setting is amazing, with good dining choices, nicely appointed rooms, very clean facilities, and a very courteous, helpful, staff. Also, the activities look like they would be great for families, and we found ourselves to be a few of the only couples without kids and grand parents in tow. I would say that as far as price (for those of you concerned with the financials) this is a bit on the moderate to higher end, but I will say, you get what you pay for.

We are looking to come back hopefully over the Thanksgiving holiday and bring our son who loves the outdoors, swimming, and horses. The only thing I could not seem to get an answer on was if the waterpark is open year round and/or heated and if all of the activities, such as the horse back riding, are open year round.

It was a fun little stay-cation for the wife and I. The activities are entertaining and relatively abundant. The food was excellent everywhere we ate including the in resort steak house. Unfortunately drinks were expensive but that comes as no suprise. Only thing to be aware of - parties and groups are common and occasionally loud.

We love Lost Pines! It's not too far from Austin, but it feels like a getaway, the pool and restaurants are great, and the spa is awesome. We always get a quiet room. We'll definitely be back.

Great resort for families. Perfect spot for adventures with small children. Food was much better than I would have expected. Buffet was amazing - pricy for long visits considering there is nothing close by but very good. Make sure to read the daily agenda and plan your activities so you don't miss out. It is not somewhere I would go without my grandchildren.

Amazing resort hotel, so many activities and amenities! Whether your celebrating an anniversary or looking to find a fun place for the whole family to enjoy, this is the place for you!

Gorgeous architecture but:
Restaurants aren t open, you re charged a resort fee but not all the facilities of the resort are operating! Literally only the sports bar was open not the stake house. Bar food is all you get.
The gym: kudos for the cable machines however the place is dirty and can use a paint job. Also there s enough space for a free weights tower but it seems as if this places are usually put together by someone that has never exercised a day in their lives. I would expect more of a so called resort.
All the swimming pools were dirty.
The concierge didn t even know if she was allowed to make a reservation for 8 at their own restaurant! Wait what???
In general ate staff is clueless and there s no service attitude.
Maybe the fact that the place was almost empty is influencing the mood...

Great facility with clean rooms and lots to do for adults and kids. Stories dining room is over priced and noisy. Third visit in a row where breakfast area opened late and not prepared. Could not order from the menu. Wait staff push the buffet.

We just got back, and overall was really impressed with how they kept things clean and safe during this pandemic. They did a very good job of making sure everyone wore masks and had sanitizers everywhere, had cleaning supplies by pool tables, etc. Went during the week so it was really empty. Didn t know what to expect and kept an open reservation so I could leave if I wasn t comfortable. They offered more activities over the weekend like thurs - Mon but that s when it gets more crowded so I m okay sacrificing that for less ppl and more space during the week. We stayed in pool area and did a lot of outdoor stuff, like bike riding, fishing, and horseback. Some you have to pay extra some are free. The pool area is just a lazy river, slide and a sandy beach entry pool. There may have been an adult pool but I did not see it as I stayed with my kids. If you want a safe getaway for a couple nights I highly recommend this place

The guest self-parking is way too far away tonight, 10/24/19. I paid $15.00 for this? No valet or guest shuttle available at 9:00 pm. I got soaking wet hiking over 100 yards in a severe thunderstorm. Perhaps there is a better solution. This hotel stay was a poor customer experience. We will likely never return. Heads up.

What a property! It really is a destination with so many amazing activities to choose from. I played golf at Wolfdancer - a beautiful course with spectacular views everywhere you look. The cold, almond infused towel on the back 9 was a perfect gift for players. I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I did.

Nice resort , however the rooms are a little dated and some of the amenities are quite expensive. Its best to go midweek because the crowd isnt too large. Breakfast buffet in firewheel cafe is amazing but will cost you about 25$ each; kids under 5 are free. Additional tips bring your own alcohol and snacks. Will most likely return.

Nice and relaxing weekend getaway at the Hyatt regency lost pines, don't forget to book your spa appointments in advance! Lots of daytime activities for the family and movies in the lobby at night.

Great family resort. Excellent golf course/club. Many restraunt options. New activities out everyday for the kiddos. Any issues were resolved by management with no questions asked. FYI at least 80% of the rooms have small porch/balcony, so really no need to pay extra for that amenity.

Great place, friendly staff though severely short staffed at different times when loading & unloading from vehicles. Was totally ignored when checking out. Was not offered help with luggage. Dinner was buffet style. Ribs were over cooked. The area outside our room had water accumulated which made it difficult to walk outside. Nice clean rooms, cold/hot water fluctuated while showering. Diffinitely not a 4 Starr resort, more like a two Starr.

We just returned from our last minute impromptu trip to this place. So the facilities are fantastic but what really separated this place from some other Hyatt and JW Marriott properties we have been to are the people. Everyone was very courteous and went out of their way to make us feel welsome.

I especially wanted to thank Akash at the checkin who actually bought our kids a present and ice cream and would not take no for an answer. Kids loved it.

We ll be back in the summer, this time for a longer stay.

Lovely place with great family amenities. Kind staff. The only negative is that their high end restaurant falls far short of what you would expect for the price. Not bad food but it missed the mark of what you get in other places, and in other Hyatt resort hotels. But don't skip it because of that. Go!

I was here three days for a conference. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is great! The food in the restaurant was so so, though, and the bar is tiny. Over all a great experience. I'd definitely go back with my family for a weekend.

Staff is friendly: maid, maintenance, cart driver ...all extremely nice & helpful. Lazy river was fun to float and drinks were reasonably priced (except for alcohol that was pricey!) I did not care for the 20% gratuity charged automatically at pool areas but glad they had an adult pool to retreat to when kids over ran the area. I do wish there were more views or access to the Colorado River. We hiked, biked, floated, played Bocce Ball (court needs better maintaining), and roasted marshmallows. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay and I would recommend this hotel for couples and families.

What a retreat! Full of activities for families with children. The pool has small sand beach, which is perfect for the little ones. The lazy river is so good, we just went round and round many times.

Such a cool place. Want a little get away or get a taste of Texas? This is the place. Super friendly and on point service
Amazing property and amenities. Super happy with the room. I was there for a company mastermind retreat and was really impressed with everything!!

The Hyatt Lost Pines is one of our favorites (we go every summer). They have a great family atmosphere offering free s'mores & movies on the lawn every night. They also have a playground, bikes on the property and, of course, the pool which has a lazy river and slide. It has plenty of shade with trees & covering over most of the chairs.

For the adults, Hyatt also has an adults only wing of the hotel and pool deck. There are several bars on the property and I've yet to taste a drink I haven't liked. The food is delicious, but you can expect to pay typical resort prices.

Other property features which are nice: butterfly garden, horseshoe pit, large porches with plenty of seating & the animals. They have longhorns, tiny horses & llamas, which the kids always love you see.

Overall, this place continues to keep us coming back. It's a perfect family vacation that includes everything you need in one spot.

Rooms were nice and amenities well. We we're disappointed in food options and how terribly expensive everything was. You are stranded and no cheap food options during your stay unless you have a car.

Beautiful location, but I knocked off a star due to the room not being very clean (there were literally baby toys on the carpet and old food wrappers...I don't have children, so this was obviously from a previous guest) and a faulty shower. This resort is very family friendly though, and there are lots of great activities (and a great golf course), so I would consider revisiting if I needed a child-friendly destination.

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE this place is really outrageous and fraudulent. They will get you for an additional $35-40 a day in "resort fees" which get you nothing so by supporting this place you are supporting the continuing fraudulent practice of misrepresenting prices in order to appear more affordable than they are. After that, you will encounter things like a $65 per person kayak tour...minus the kayak. You have to pay an additional kayak rental. $110 to shoot skeet, $115 for a short horseback ride...and on and on and on. Research this greedy little hillbilly resort before you book. Oh, and they try to get $75 cancellation fee out of you, too, if you don't spot their bait-and-switch soon enough.

Office Christmas Party in Sheller's, granted it was a large group, and that in itself brings challenges, I never could get the server to understand, that as one of the last guests to arrive, I didn't have a cloth napkin, or the cutlery to enjoy my meal. I was pointed to the bar for paper bar napkins when I asked for a napkin and had to hunt up an available fork on my own.
The BLTG sandwich was flavorful, but the bread was hard; not over-toasted, because it lacked the color of toast on the bottom piece, but too hard to bite into until you got the the moister center of the sandwich.
The biggest disappointment was the underpour of the glass of wine. As a California girl I was really looking forward to that Rodney Strong Chardonnay. It did not disappoint, but it was hard to not feel slighted by the meager amount in the huge glass.

Bravo!

Good place overall, staff was friendly and professional. We had a couple of bumps with our stay but management made up for it! Was not impressed by the rooms for the price, but access to all the amenities makes it worth it.

Stayed here for the Zooma Half Marathon & it was incredibly relaxing. I enjoyed a worry-free weekend so I could focus on my race & my post-race recovery. Plenty of places to eat and a Starbucks inside the resort to boot!

Fabulous resort for a family vacation! Had a conference here and brought the whole family. Pool, waterslide, and lazy river are fantastic. Movies outside on the lawn complete with popcorn. Fire pit with all the supplies to make s'mores. We intend to return again for a vacation when not attending a conference.
