As a Canadian who watches a lot of hockey, this was a great experience at the SAP Center. Parking was pretty easy, although pickups and dropoff (especially ride sharing) can be challenging as police have no stopping zones set up dueing the busiest periods. Inside, the arena is spacious and all seats are easily accessible. I love how everything is on one level, and you easily get to boxes, upper deck, and lower bowl all from the same level. Food is very reasonably priced.was looking forward to the start where the Sharks skate out through the glowing shark head - it was actually pretty underwhelming.

I've been in multiple events here and security screening at the entrance is quick the seating is to be expected of a indoor arena for any event but it's good and I've enjoyed myself at every event that I've been to have no complaints.

Great food, and service. The place is pretty large but easy to get around. Staff is friendly too. It was also very clean in the restroom and common areas which I appreciate. Thanks for a great evening.

My family and I were there on Tuesday to watch the Penguins/ Sharks game. This is the third time we have made the trip to San Jose to watch the Penguins play. Every time we have had terrible experiences, but this was by far the worst.
Between the terrible staff (blue jackets), and the terrible fans, we decided that this will be the last year we make the trip. The rules in this building are absolutely ridiculous. No standing, no leaning forward in your seat, I'm assuming no cheering or booing either. Unless you are doing it for the home team. Why would you go to a professional sporting event to sit quietly in your seat? Typical bay area attitude. The blue jackets kept spouting off about hockey etiquette... I don't even know what that means. You spend good money to go to a game because you're passionate about it, not to sit quietly in a seat and golf clap after your team scores a goal.
I get why the local fans were so butt hurt, the Sharks lost 5-1 that night and didn't appreciate my group having such a good time in their house. This is probably why the Sharks choke in the playoffs every year. San Jose claims to be the best fans in the NHL, I hate to tell them but if they visited any real hockey city they would see that they are severely lacking in what makes a good hockey fan.
Keep it up San Jose and maybe your team will go to a city that deserves it.

The fans were nice to us even though we were rooting for the other team. Nice arena. The only bad thing was the design of the seats. You can't lean forward without blocking the person behind you. So strange.

The local indoor arena is awesome. The location has lots of parking(though you will have traffic if you are going during the week, since it is just outside of Downtown SJ) They have a wide range of food options inside, not just a generic hotdog and bud light. There is a Round Table kiosk, Gordon Biersch and several other specialty options

Security is pretty fast at getting you in and out and it's actually pretty easy to park! Stadium is a little tight in the upper stands, but what could you expect from the less expensive seats. Expect to pay around 12-15 bucks for an alcoholic drink.
