Food Service AVAILABILITY was deplorable (quality fair to good though). Only half the food stands were open & only half the registers at those were open. Attended 7 to 8 events here for US Fig. Sk8 Champs from 1/3 - 1/7/18. 2 days there for more than 8 hrs. 1/3/18 They ran out of hot dogs by like 7p. We have only 6 min. between every 6 skaters with 1 ice cut & warm up about 15 min. to get food rest room & back in seat to not miss any performances. Food service staffing & stock was not adequate to accommodate us. $20 parking pretty steep. I will give kudos to the security staff, bags were searched quickly but thoroughly enough to feel safe (leanient on letting some food food (not drink) through, so started carrying protein bars etc). Never much of a line at the box office but most folks probably had tickets well in advance.

Went for a concert and about to go again! Honestly everyone dreads the process of getting in, but the staff here made it as effecient as possible! Even better they were all friendly and was the most pleasant "entering the venue" I've ever experienced

Always a great place to go for Sharks games. I've been coming here since 2004 for games, and whether it has been HP Pavilion or SAP center, it is always a blast. Do yourself a favor and go watch a live Sharks game - you won't be sorry.

SAP is a fantastic venue. Wheter it's a hockey game, concert or comedy show. The staff keeps this place squeaky clean. They have great food and drink kiosks offering more than the average stadium fare

FUNK N' SAN JOSE:

FUNK N' SAN JOSE:
The five stars are for the bands only. I was beyond disappointed at the audio engineering for this show. It seemed like the engineers knew absolutely nothing about mixing this genre of music. Most of the time the instruments drowned out the vocalist. I could see them struggling trying to be heard. There was also a lot of unnecessary feedback and other glitches. I personally bought eight tickets at $135 a piece plus parking. The bands were great I give them 5 stars, but the sound crew was probably the worst that I've ever experienced at a concert on this level. Funk deserves better.

Went here last week for a Panic! at the Disco concert which was AMAZING. The venue was like most others I've been to. Only problem is that there aren't a lot of great pick up spots for Uber and Lyft after these big events. But it's nice that SAP is located right across from the Caltrain station.

Sharks!

Great place for any venue. Fantastic sound system for concerts. For sporting events you're right on top of the action almost anywhere in the building. Plenty of concession stands and restroom locations. Beer is a little pricy but on par with other stadiums. If you want to drink whole foods across the street or any of the other bars next to the SAP Center. This has to be the fastest place to exit an event. Within10 minutes your on a freeway.

Their security and ushers are a complete joke. I went to the Black Sabbath concert yesterday with my brother and father. We arrived early and I was shown my seat by the usher. During the concert 3 males approached me and said we were sitting in their seats. They continued to stand right in front of me and before I knew it I was put in a wrist lock and was told to relax. I saw it was the same usher who sat me earlier had me in the wrist lock and was asking for my ticket again. He snatched that ticket from my hand and looked yet again and saw that i was sitting in the right seat. I was upset that the usher would grab me in such a matter so I asked to speak to his supervisor. Another usher, who i assume was his supervisor approached me. I told this usher that I was grabbed really hard by her employee, but she told me to sit in my seat or I'd be asked to leave. I sat in my seat. Everybody was standing up though. Then a security guard approached me and told me if I continued to get in the way of the flow of traffic I'd be asked to leave. I was in my seat. I tried to explain to him that the usher grabbed me and hurt my wrist. I asked for some ice and a medical report. He refused. Right behind me a group of people started to smoke marijuana. I approached the usher and asked him if he could tell the people smoking weed to stop. I was told to go back to my seat. 1 hr into the concert i was standing right next to my seat and dancing like everyone else. Next thing I know a group of security officers approached me and asked to speak with me. I complied. I was told that my dancing was provoking the usher and i needed to leave. It was humiliating. I had to wait for my father and brother outside.

I've been to numerous events at the SAP center and this time is the last. Shame on them.

I've been to the arena a number of times over the years for Sharks games, and now Cirque due Soleil. Like the layout, the seating is reasonably comfortable, access is pretty good, though can get crowded, and entrance security can be an annoyance. Good selection of food and drink, but the prices seem high even for arena food.

This is an excellent venue for hockey and concerts. If you're coming from SF and want to stay in San Jose after the event, I recommend driving, as the last Caltrain usually leaves Diridon Station shortly after 11pm.

Saw Joyce Meyers here and it was amazing.... I would give it 5 stars but the blue jacket staff was unprofessional and rude.... In the MIDDLE of the service- one of the blue jacket employee's was standing over me, his crotch in my face while I held my 8 month old daughter- yelling at the elderly ladies in the seats behind me to "Get up and move!" Because they were in the wrong seats. Everything about the situation was inappropriate and uncalled for. But the service, Joyce and worship was 5 stars!
