The area is definitely not the nicest... Compared to other hockey areas it's older, the food and drink options are not as nice and the in-arena entertainment feels a bit outdated. BUT the Sharks and their fans are amazing, and they also have an award winning pre-game show.
People were nice they gave us special incentives because we were part of a convention.
if you like crowds of sheep you'll love SAP center.
The SAP center is nice and big. Workers are nice and friendly
Great venue for a concert. Just saw the Foo Fighters there and they put on a great show!
Decent venue, but parking is a travesty. Can't park at a sharks game unless you're a season ticket holder, which no one tells you in advance when you order tickets. Parking is scattered throughout shady neighborhoods, with no lot security, no receipts, cash only, etc.
Went to see Pink amazing night..Great seats..Floor easy access by elevator..Amazing sound and show
The Sap Center Is A Family Affair. Watch out for its rabid, best in the world, fans!
The venue doesn't seem to have a bad seat in it. Hosting the NCAA March Madness tournament was fitting. The venue has diverse food options and everyone was very friendly. The only feedback I could offer would be to replace padding in the seats as some of them are worn and thin.
Venue is great but the line wrapped around the building about half way for the Sting/Peter Gabriel concert.
Versatile place used for sport and other events. Needs some remodeling and renovation.
Great venue! I just saw Queen with Adam Lambert and it was fantastic. I'll be back again for another show.
A great venue for sports, concerts, etc. If your on the upper deck don't lean forward. You'll block the view of everyone behind you.
Well..it's the shark tank SAP Center, great place for events
It was a very nice place. Well organized and very well kept. Show of Jeff Lynne was wonderful.
Only bad part of the stadium is the seating is so narrow.
Leaving the parking lot is a nightmare. There should be more gates in different directions.
Mike Shinoda was amazing. He needs to do a full concert here.
Good concerts but the food and drinks are crazy expensive
I went here for a San Jose Sharks game. You can actually park a few blocks away for $7.00 verses closer to the stadium which is between $15-25. There aren't any bad seats and I would try tickets on the 202 section and all others on that side since that is where the sharks attack twice!
First time there and it was pretty nice. Everything was clean and seats were ok. I didn't like the exit. It was blocked for over 40 minutes.
Looking for NON BORING Nachos? How about a 3lb burrito? Find Iguanazilla behind section 111. 2 pounds of meat, melted cheese, sour cream, and guacamole, piled on a mound of made there chips. Avg cost of 1 nachos and a drink= 13$/person. Avg burrito and drink 13$/person. Looking for hot fresh pizza right out of the oven? Tony's behind section 109 & 119. Delicious personal 4piece pizza. Pepperoni or cheese only. Avg price with drink 8$. Looking for hard liquor? That's only accessable with lower reserve tickets below rows 15, inside the Sharks lounge. (Beware average cap'n'coke [Captin Morgan spiced rum and Coke'a'Cola {or any rum paired with Coke'a'Cola}] is 15$+ and mostly coke). Looking for an average sized cheese steak outside of the hidden BLUE CHIP bar and Sports lounge? Take a trip to section 108. No spiced peppers though, just bell pepper and onion, gooey delicious mozzarella (yes real cheese slices). Avg. Price + drink 15$ fills you up and leaves you with only one regret, not having another one for your (insert party here) to have and stop drooling over yours.
Love the easy short access to entrance and box office. But the prices for refreshments are overpriced...
Good venue for concerts and sports. Friendly staff.
Always fun to go to the SAP center, mainly for Sharks games, but other events as well. Well ran facility
Pretty good, not nearly enough red wings fans though
Great places for events, parking lot attendees not so great.
I come to this place for the hockey games. This place is nice inside and out. Even though I am not a Sharks fan, the energy and crowd here is amazing. There is decent parking around the area and tons of places to eat and drink before or after the game.
Good show although Alejandro started ONE HOUR LATE. Really?
Went to see TSO show and it was awesome. The center was easy to get in and out for events.
One of my favorite venues in the bay area. Seats are comfortable and Shark games are always fun. Remember, during all the events, there are usually multiple entrances around the venue. There entrance on Santa Clara is the main one, but it does not mean you have to use that one. I usually park by San Pedro square and it's a quick 10 minute walk over to the arena .
Lots of good seats even if you get the cheap tickets. Drinks and food are SUPER expensive though so being your wallet. Also don't park there as the is a inexpensive parking structure by San Pedro Square about 3 blocks away.
This was my first time attending a game here, what a fun experience it was! They have a bag check outside the arena and it s $5 to check your bag, it s guarded with police officers. So make sure you read the rules on the size of bags that are allowed inside. It wasnt chilly at all, a light jacket is more than enough, and really any seat you sit in has a great view:) FYI bring an empty water bottle in and you can fill it up, then you don t have to spend an insane amount on a water bottle.
Great place to see a large act concert or sports event. It's clean, well run, and easy to park. The aren't many food locations but you are close to so many places to eat. The staff are great - they take customer service seriously and were helpful when I needed to get back out to my car after already entering. There aren't supposed to be "in and outs" but when I explained why, they understood and bent the rule plus were very friendly.
The San Jose hockey venue. If you are lucky like I was the sharks wins which is awesome. Facilities are excellent and the game is fun to watch. Bring your coat..
Might make it back for March 17,2016 Justin concert going to Hollywood on the same$day getting my drivers license on the Same$day!!!!
Always a fun time even if the games don't always go our way.
Have cash for parking and food and drinks... consider $15-45 for parking, plus $25 per person for snacks. Overall a lot of fun!!!
Often crowded with people, the SAP center is home to advents such as SJ SHARKS games, Disney on Ice, music concerts, and more. There is quick easy-access transportation, with buses that come every 15 min. The food inside is expensive and not high quality. The bathrooms are well designated and clean, with lines thst can get long. There's lots of space to walk around, with beer served in all sizes.
A still modern looking building for its age. Located near the heart of the city for restaurants and entertainment. For its size it has a inmate feel and not a bad seat in the house.
I didn't read the purse policy beforehand, but we got a handout at the SAP parking lot. The line for security was long, but it moved fast; it took about 30 minutes to get through security. The concert was great, and the sound was good. The bar at the entrance stayed open after 9pm when the concessions closed. I had a great time, and the sound was better than Rush.
Love this place. Great place to see sharks games, concerts. MMA Fights.
Love this place for sharks games! GO SHARKS!!! The food, atmosphere and drinks are great here!
While the events the SAP Center hosts are wonderful, getting into the actual Arena is a nightmare! The Arena has not maintained its investment in good security systems and is now worst than the airport! I would much rather go to SF or Oakland than go to the SAP Center
Not far from the freeway parking nearby great staff on site
Best arena in the Bay Area. Great affordable food choices & parking isn't crazy. Plenty of public transit to get there (across the street from Diridon Station).
Came here for a Sharks viewing party and the energy level was over 9000! Lots of good food around to satisfy your appetite after the game. I recommend La Victoria!
Food Gestapo forces you to buy their overpriced junk
The staff was so kind and helpful. I've been to venues where it felt like the staff was there to ruin the fun, not help facilitate it. This is not that venue. The staff enhanced the experience with their positive energy and fun attitude. Thanks for a great night!
You have to download an app to use your tickets and get in. There's a special place reserved in you know where for whichever marketing genius forced such a level of inconvenience in exchange for app metrics.
