Fine, friendly service, good food. After a long bike ride, enjoy a nice dinner at van der Valk. Really great.

Although the bathrooms are slightly dated, it was perfectly clean and tidy. Delicious dinner, lots of choice, excellent breakfast and not unimportant, very friendly staff

Lovely room with a balcony and a rural view. Balconies are very close together, so you have little privacy.
Rooms were clean and very neat. Modernly furnished and romantic with an (electric) fireplace. Bathroom clean, with a bath and a rain shower. Breakfast was delicious, as well as dinner. Staff very friendly and attentive.

Van der Valk Hotel Groningen-Westbroek is a somewhat unusual hotel. It consists of several buildings. The reception and restaurant are located in a different building than the hotel rooms. That is a small drawback: after having eaten deliciously warm by the fireplace, you have to go back to your room due to the rain and the cold ... There is nothing to be desired in the room itself. I had a Groningen Wealth room, a cheap room type, but even this one looked luxurious and expensive. Cozy furnishings, great bed and a luxurious bathroom with a spacious bath and separate shower even in this cheap room type. A few downsides: the beds are not too wide and the comforters downright narrow. Tasty turning in, is not in it. And if your room is close to the entrance, you will be awakened early by the sound of the sliding door in the building. A loud click from the relay and the heavy buzzing of the motor that drives the door ensures that you do not need an alarm clock. So request a room farther away from the entrance! I didn't like the desk in my room to work on. Too high and there is a not comfortable seat. Simply adding a good height-adjustable chair would alleviate this suffering. Now I have just been working on the bench, which is also in the room. Keep in mind that the hotel, like many other Van der Valk hotels, is in the middle of knowwhere. In the immediate vicinity there is nothing to do, you really need the car to drive to the city. Food in the restaurant is good and not expensive. As far as I know, the hotel has no special facilities such as a swimming pool, sauna or fitness room.

After I heard many bad stories, they positively surprised me with the food. It tasted great and the oldies were completely happy. Nice round table which is very nice dining.

We were here while it was sweltering outside. However, it was a good place to be in the room. Spacious room with an outside seating area.

The hotel is not too far from Groningen and is an excellent base for exploring the area. Spacious (free) parking space.

Decent place to go for a drink or dinner. Employeed are very professional and friendly. Menu provides adequate choices for everyone. Atmosphere is nice to, it attracts an older crowd. Location is a bit off, but easy to reach by car.

Too bad you have to check in somewhere and then have your room somewhere 200m further. If you are there and you are unlucky you can walk a whole maze to reach your room. Rooms are old and dated. Bathrooms are old and very dirty everywhere lime, shower cubicle is full of mold. The cleaning team just leaves the cobwebs so you have the chance of "pets". I have been to a lot of Van Der Valk hotels, but this one is really bad. I hope that they will no longer book here from my company. I really do not recommend this hotel. I recommend Van Der Valk to carry out a major renovation, it can only get better.

Friendly service. A few drinks on the terrace. Drinks were fine. Price too. Only they can take the tables a bit more often. Now a lot of flies because the tables are not clean. Point of improvement. Otherwise four stars.

Went from Wednesday to Monday at the Hotel Van der Valk and have to say that it was one of the best hotels I have been to! The rooms a dream. The dinner was amazing. You thought you were in a star restaurant. Breakfast was also good. All service staff and staff were totally friendly. Always my pleasure :)

Rooms are neat, clean and of excellent size. The breakfast buffet was also good. The atmosphere of the hotel (especially the annex) was not very special, a bit outdated.

Reasonable hotel but not the class ( ) that we are used to from Van der Valk. Room was fine but the bathroom could use a thorough renovation. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good.

I often drove past this place but now stopped for coffee to work. Friendly staff and neat thing. This one from the falcon is not yet according to the new formula that you see everywhere in the new hotels but all in all good. Something noisy in the restaurant to sit if you have to call. Nowhere a corner without speakers and music

Unlike the other van der Valk hotel in the other "pants", this restaurant is good.
Here good food is served, by nice staff, in a nice atmosphere, at decent prices.
The location is somewhat "off the route", but for this I like to drive a bit.
