Good service. Nice and quiet everything discreet. Not too busy and food is reasonable to good. In any case very good hotel in general. Some fog is swimming pool unfortunately.

24 September 2018 held our wedding party here and last year our 1 year wedding.

Very positive experience. Of all the hotels / restaurants we have been to, Van der Valk Westerbroek was the friendliest, helpful in our choices, very helpful and professional.

Our guests were generally very positive about the rooms we had ordered for them and we ourselves were also very satisfied with the suite that was offered to us.

The food during the reception and during dinner afterwards were perfectly prepared.

All in all a very positive experience and recommend everyone to go here sometime.

The hotel is quiet and very nice location. Our room was a bit dated, but very spacious and clean. Very rich breakfast buffet. The three-course menu in the hotel restaurant was delicious. The service staff is very concerned about the guests. Clear recommendation!

A beautiful place to be. Excellent service and the breakfast is top. They are doing well because I had forgotten my adapter and they sent it after. Toppie !!!

A number of times had a great business stay. Hotel is somewhat dated but clean and the staff is welcoming. Food is good. Basically everything you can expect with a standard van der Valk.
I make a remark about animal friendliness. Although pets are allowed in the room after consultation, they are not allowed to go to the restaurant or bar. I understand very well that not everyone benefits from animals in the restaurant, but as a rule there is a separate place. That is not the case in Westerbroek, the animals are not allowed. We were only informed of this after 2 inquiries. You don't leave your child in the room or in the car when you have to eat, do you? Anything can happen and noise nuisance cannot be excluded. We canceled the reservation and found another spot, but it might be more convenient to just not allow pets.

Very cozy and well cared for restaurant. We were allowed to eat here yesterday and very pleasantly surprised how friendly the service was. When booking indicated that we were with a disabled person and with a child who is less able to cope with incentives. This was very well taken into account, we were placed in the small room, thank you.

The hospitality, the personal wishes regarding the food in combination with the small room have led to an unforgettable evening with good food.

Small is beautiful. Had a wonderful weekend in the comfort hotel, beautiful surroundings, friendly and above all helpful staff and everything neatly arranged. Different hotel buildings, reception and restaurant are separate but that should not spoil the fun.

The best vd valk I know large menu with a lot of choice and good seating, the more homely atmosphere than other vd valk restaurants. Knowledge of the service sometimes less but mainly about the food.

This afternoon I had a fantastic brunch for my 75th birthday ... great!

Good restaurant and nice location. Friendly staff too. Beds were less in our room and a lot of noise early in the morning due to a renovation. But all in all, especially because of the restaurant, a good pass.

Friendly staff, clean and beautiful rooms, a nice restaurant for both diner and breakfast and a rural look. A great place to spend a few nights while visiting the region.

(+) Tasty and very extensive breakfast.
(+) We (couple) were in a "Groningen Wealth" room. The room itself (not the plumbing) was pretty neat, and goes in terms of comfort and finish towards rooms as we know it from the Van der Valk Exclusive.
(+) Friendly staff.
(+) Good beds.
(+) Mini bar package (cooled box very richly filled with drinks and some snacks, to be collected at reception for 12.50) gives great value for money.
(+) Thick TV with good wall bracket and four movie channels. Combined with the minibar package you can watch a movie before bedtime.
(+) Nice and apparently recently modernized main building.

(-) Shower gives occasional spikes of hot or cold. We stayed for three days and also understood from other guests that they were also bothered by this. Water pressure does not end.
(-) Our room (60) was in a separate area, approximately 200 meters from the main building. You have to go there through the open air. The design is somewhat "bungelow park / motel-like". This is not such a problem in itself, but why is this never mentioned when booking or on the hotel webpage itself?
(-) In the aforementioned separately located part of the hotel complex where we stayed some rooms were renovated. Once again: Why was this not communicated anywhere in advance? And why did the workmen start working almost an hour before the start time stated in the lobby (09:00)?
(-) Rooms are very noisy. Both for sounds from outside, from other rooms, and from the corridor.
(-) No air conditioning.
(-) Passing through traffic N-way at night and during the day can be heard very well in the rooms. (And we slept at the back of the hotel.)
(-) Wifi very slow and unstable on all our devices (2 smartphones, 1 notebook.) Internet was even out for a day, reception staff indicated by KPN digging work. That is, of course, force majeure, but does this hotel really lack the knowledge of something as fundamental as a 4G backup router within this huge hotel chain? The 4G coverage around and around the hotel is excellent.
(-) The plumbing is very tired. A narrow bath and a mini shower while the bathroom can still be called large. Almost everything is apparently around fifteen years old. Almost all kit edges have black mold spots. There is nothing in the shower to put your shampoo and such on. The bathroom was clean, although it did not look that way due to all weather and mildew spots.
(-) Why, for heaven's sake, when people renovate a hotel room, the sanitary fittings and the window frame on the window side are not included, is incomprehensible to us. No budget? Then tackle the joints and sealants and paint the frame. Now it seems a bit like a car that is made nice for sale but has a rotten body and bad engine under the repainted body.

Conclusion: This is not exactly a pearl among the van der Valk hotels; We are much, much better used to this chain. The rooms can also be called pricey, certainly for what is offered.

This is one of the nicest locations to eat, everything is prepared purely and is delicious and if you have special dietary requirements such as gluten-free or low-carbohydrate or sugar-free everything is not a problem, everything is really well thought of.

Everything was fantastic, enjoyed it. Food tasty, breakfast delicious.

The room was beautiful and comfortable, the hotel has 3 different buildings which at first gives a bit of confusion, but with the explanation of staff it is good to find where the rooms are located
