I don't write reviews...ever.. This was one of my first work traveling experiences alone in a new city, and everyone here was AMAZING. Super approachable, accommodating and kind. Clean, amazing service and great PEOPLE! I even annoyed them when my wine opener broke and they saved the day. Not to mention, when I called ahead letting them know I would be in before check in time, they had my room good to go which was an absolute game changer.12/10 would stay here my next trip to DENVER :)

Big disappointment. My room was literally smaller than any European room I ve ever stayed and was basically saddled next to the elevator and not the width of the normal rooms. In addition, and what I m most annoyed about is that I had a pair of wireless Bose headphones for two weeks before my trip. Left them in the room and they were never found. I know it is my fault for leaving them in there but 100% sure that I did.Unfortunate to pay $200 a night and have to worry about things getting taken. Overall just a total ripoff from start to finish. Ordered room service just for them to call me back and tell me they were out of chicken salad. Instead I got a bowl of soup (nasty) with a glass of wine for $50. Place is pretty bad. I didn t even think the location was that great, several blocks from the heart of Denver. Would definitely recommend the Crawford as a much better option for the price point. The rain forest shower head and water pressure was great though!

Do not stay here!! My sister and I had to stay here for a couple of nights and our room got broken into. She had over $4,000 worth of jewelry and camera's stolen and we are going rounds and rounds with management about them paying for it. They are saying it's not their problem and we've had to jump hoops just to get a response out of them. It's been going on for over a week and is still not resolved. It's unacceptable and they need to update their hotel to at least install security cameras.

Went to hotel Teatro for one of the classes they offer on drinks and food. I think they are doing these monthly. It was excellent. The executive chef came out to to each table to see how the food was. He was relaxed and shared knowledge of how they use the farm to table design in the restaurant and how they prepare the menu. They are constantly making menu items that are your childhood memory food but dressing them up in an adult way. It was sneaky, but great. The venue we used was the bar area across from the nickel restaurant. They have tall ceilings, private tables, and huge windows. I enjoyed the variety of seating they had available. Couches of nice but unique styles, Chairs that looked custom made, and stools that were as versatile as they are good looking. Every thing gave off a high end classy feel. I looked around several times noticing how relaxed and at ease all the other patrons seemed. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Great location in downtown, perfect for walking just about anywhere. Plan on paying for parking though, it's $40 a night, but it's valet and they were quick about getting the car ready when I called ahead. Room was small and mediocre. The TV is really bad, but I don't watch TV on vacation so that was okay. Overall, nice place to stay for the location and the boutique feel.

The rooms were recently renovated and very nice - comfortable bed, huge bathroom, big flat screen TVs, lots of outlets, comfortable desk to work at. There is complimentary wifi although it was a little slow in the room. There's a small workout facility with about four cardio machines and some free weights. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. I did not eat at the restaurant, but the menu looked delicious. Also a wonderful location - close to 16th Street Mall, the river, and confluence park. They also have a complimentary driver which can help save some money on Lyft rides over your stay.

My only complaint is that my room was on the second floor next to a noisy generator. The windows were frosted out so that you could not see outside/they let very little light in. I probably could have asked to switch to a new room, but I didn't want to go through the hassle. The hotel did not look full though and I was a little disappointed that they would downgrade a guest paying full price.

Absolute impeccable service & simply made our trip to Denver from Toronto. The staff were so focused on the customer experience it was amazing! The room was beautiful (904) and the hotel was very clean and organized. I travel on business to the United States about 5 times a year - not a lot, but enough to notice the difference between a good, bad or exceptional experience. And Hotel Teatro was nothing short of exceptional! Do not second guess - book your hotel stay at Hotel Teatro!

Unique and lovely property. Lobby and restaurant serve wonderful food and drinks in classy atmosphere. Menu options were a bit limited and pricey but very tasty. Room was luxurious and without losing the historic flavor of the hotel. A lot of seating and work space in my room, even though it was a smaller room, because of careful design choices.

My fiance and I stayed at Hotel Teatro for a coupl...

My fiance and I stayed at Hotel Teatro for a couple of nights in a superior king room for a weekend getaway recently; frankly we were a bit disappointed.
First, the high points:
-The valet service and service overall was excellent. We didn't avail ourselves of all of the service possibilities, but any interaction with the staff was good. They were polite and professional, especially the valet staff.
-The room was very nicely appointed. We were in a room that was very oddly shaped, but I think that was just a bit of luck of the draw. It was small, however...the smallest room on that floor, actually. However, the linens were fine quality and the bathroom looked very nice.
Now, the low:
-The hot water tap handle and the shower tap handle both leaked when they were turned on. It didn't affect functionality, but it was disappointing to see something simple like that here.
- The on demand TV system didn't work properly. Multiple times when turning on the TV, it would return a no signal message, and required me to turn it off and on multiple times to get it to work. We also tried to watch a movie, but it never worked. It allowed us to select the movie, but never played. The front desk took it off my bill in the morning, but it shouldn't have happened in the first place.
- The bathroom was very dim, with a recessed light over the toilet that only intermittently worked, which made it even darker.
Finally, some frustrations:
-My fiance and I went to dinner on Sunday night over Labor Day weekend, and returned to the hotel at about 9:30-9:45pm. We wanted to have a nightcap prior to going upstairs, so thought we would stop by the hotel bar for a drink. It was closed, already. I understand that it was Sunday night, but that is still very early, especially in downtown Denver on a holiday weekend.
-All the pillows on the bed were very soft...there weren't any firm options for pillows, so I ended up folding one in half to get comfortable.

So, in review, I think the Hotel Teatro is a bit dated and tired. It feels like it's banking on it's old reputation as a luxury boutique hotel for pricing and to keep people coming to stay. It doesn't look like they're trying, frankly. I won't be staying there again...I will probably either go to Hotel Monaco or the Curtis next time.

I wish I could give Hotel Teatro and it's employees a 1000/5. I had the opportunity to stay at Hotel Teatro with my boyfriend to celebrate our anniversary and my birthday. First off, the photos online do not do the place justice. This boutique hotel is CLEAN, romantic, boujee, charming, and classy.

Since it was our first time staying in Denver, I reached out to the Concierge, Matthew, to get some recommendations on things to do and places to see. Not only did Matthew send over an entire itinerary of museums, restaurants, hiking paths, brewery and bars but also offered to make any reservations for us.

Upon arrival, Matthew was waiting outside ready to welcome us into Hotel Teatro. We got in early and was able to get access to our room right away. We were welcomed by the most friendly staff as well as a handwritten note with a bottle of bubbly waiting in our room (great surprise after a long flight). The room was CLEAN and had an amazing view of the city.

We were treated like royalty at Hotel Teatro. I will recommend this place to anyone and everyone looking for a good time in Denver. We're already looking forward to staying there again next year!!

This is a great hotel. I got a great deal on Hotwire because normally probably too expensive for my pocket book. Staff was helpful and friendly. Room was very nice, a little small but all the amenities including a great bathroom with a huge shower. Great lobby with an excellent lounge area and top notch coffee bar and restaurant. Beautifully restored with great art on site.

The 1 bed is small and the light switch for the shower and bathroom was in the hallway. Staff was nice. Parking and valet is outrageous. However, nickel bar, their dinning area are very welcoming and it is very close to 16th Street.

I hate writing bad reviews but sometimes it gives light to a hotel that lost its way. For reference, we ve stayed at Hotel Teatro years ago, and we are also Marriott Titanium members.

Tiny room, rude managers (front desk was nice); dirty sheets, and a broke heater. Then still had the audacity to charge us for our entire reservation.

Long-time customer of Teatro, and the service and ...

Long-time customer of Teatro, and the service and friendliness of all staff is still exceptional. My only complaint after most recent stay is the bathroom. Sometimes I think it would be good for management to actually use the rooms they expect their guests to use. The shower is tiny and in need of a deep clean (mold starting on the grout). The only soap dish was broken and hanging so we propped it up in place. The provided soap bar is so small it slips out of the holder. The small shower makes it really awkward to shave your legs (no, I m not huge). Only one towel bar in the whole bathroom which quite some distance from the sink area, so one of us always had a damp bath towel because the only other place was a hook on the door. No place to hang hand towels or wash cloths. Kind of difficult to be green and reuse your towels here. I was skeptical of the shower faucets because they were quite rickety and leaky, but functioned fine. Didn t like the overhead rain-style shower because you can t step aside due to the small size of shower. Some of this can be fixed, and not all rooms are set up with this configuration. Overall Hotel Teatro is wonderful, but perhaps some attention to detail in the rooms is needed lately. IE, one of the powered nightstands was not plugged in, resulting in my phone not charging when I thought it was. Crawled around and located power cord and took care of it, but still

This was my third time staying here, basically bec...

This was my third time staying here, basically because the location can't be beat. Last time I stayed there they charged me $20 a night to leave my car there. This last time they charged me $39 a night! Their policy hasn't changed - I was told this by the valet. Maybe they made a mistake the first time? Not a good start to the trip. I ended up parking my vehicle at a friend's house and Ubering it every day. There should be another option besides Valet (the Valet guys were great BTW).

First issue - got to the room and the AC didn't work, the last weekend in July I might add. I called down to complain and they offered to send up an engineer. Next, they call back and said, "Oh, the AC doesn't work in your room." They offered a fan or a change of room. Really? A Fan? I changed rooms.

Second issue - the new room's shower didn't drain. The engineer is back in my new room.

Third issue - The rooms are not clean enough (if cleaned at all). Which leads me to the biggest issue:

The last night I noticed my bed had been made but the room (especially) the bathroom was not cleaned. I politely requested from the front desk person that my bathroom be cleaned while I was away for the evening. I came back to my hotel room at 11:30 PM that night to find my hotel door wide open. The deadbolt lock was opened, to avoid the door closing all the way. I immediately called downstairs to address the issue while I searched the room to make sure all my stuff was still there. The front desk told me they would send "extra security" throughout the night. It did not set my mind at ease.

The next morning I politely complained to the GM, who seemed sincere about helping me resolve the numerous issues. He promised to call me back to discuss the issues. He did call me back, but not to resolve the issues. He promised to call back again when he had a solution. The call never came. I wrote an email to the hotel - the email was ignored. I just forwarded the email again, no response.

In the end, bump this hotel down to a 3 star hotel. it's absolutely not a 5 or 4 star hotel! The service isn't there (which are what the stars are based on) - not to mention, the back of house staff uses the same elevator as the guests. Five star hotels do what ever it takes to make the guest feel comfortable. Not cleaning the room and leaving it wide open for 4+ hours is not making the guest feel welcome!

Wonderful hotel and restaurant. Love the all you can drink brunch options even if they are a little pricey. They have many types of rooms to cater to your needs and I haven't met a member of the staff who hasn't been helpful and attentive. Highly recommended.

We went to the nickel bar downstairs. The drinks were great as was the service. Tjey have a solid beer line up as well as some cocktails that have obvious attention to detail. Their Negroni is aged in barrels and served on tap with a neat presentation tray. Great spot to grab a classy post theater date drink.

Stayed at Hotel Teatro in July and had such a grand visit I had to review. From the moment I arrived in Denver they were willing to help. From picking me up at Union Station to letting me check in early and even helping my family surprise me with a congratulatory note in my hotel room, they truly go above and beyond. My room was very clean with everything I needed, even a mini fridge. Room service was prompt and willing to accommodate my needs. The restaurant has a great bar with awesome charcuterie options! Early morning coffee and breakfast were delicious as well. There is not one complaint I could come up with. Really. Kudos to the staff, what a great bunch! Thank you for everything!

We always love staying at Hotel Teatro. We like to take our dogs everywhere we go and they are not only dog friendly, every employee gushes over your dog and they offer you bowls and beds and you have to sign a paper saying they are allowed to walk your dog if it's barking. Their service is outstanding and the rooms are spacious, clean and chique. The location isn't bad either ;)

I had a great stay. Staff were very attentive without being over the top. Concierge was very helpful and knowledgeable. The Bell Staff were always on point. I felt like it was very reasonably priced. I would recommend to anyone. Only downside, is there is not complimentary breakfast, but there is a restaurant in the hotel and a Starbucks down the street.

Me and my boyfriend chose this hotel for a little Denver staycation. The staff was the friendliest, the room was comfortable and quaint, the hotel itself was beautiful and had a lot of character. If you are looking for a little home away from home this hotel and the staff definitely made me feel welcomed and comfortable. I absolutely recommend this place, it's fantastic.

Great boutique hotel. Stellar hospitality yet down-to-earth vibes. Very representative of Denver in the best possible way.

Visited with my husband for a work conference -- we debated about going out, but ended up staying in at the Nickel bar. Great drinks without the belabored hipster overkill you might experience elsewhere.

Folks have mentioned small rooms -- was true compared to unnecessarily cavernous hotels, but the set up offered well-curated luxury in a reasonable space. (Lovely bathroom tub and shower, extremely comfortable bedding.)

Look forward to staying here again.

We had a slight issue with the room and the staff took care of things straight away. The hotel bed is so comfy. This place is quiet and convenient to downtown denver. Such a treat. The bathroom was beautiful too. Worth the upgrade from your normal hotel chain. Staff was kind, professional, and friendly.

Stayed here for New Years Eve. Cost $389/night with fees, not worth the cost. Stayed on the 4th floor, No view, terrible draft from windows, Noisy Forced air heat and constant noise from outside fans. No complimentary water. $3 if you open it. The Staff were friendly and courteous.

I recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the theater district. The location is great and the service was impeccable. The beds were comfortable and rooms were nice. It's an old boutique hotel but that's part of its charm. I wasn't a big fan of the restaurant as the breakfast was pretty lacking. They have a shuttle service that will take you anywhere within a 2.5 mile radius of the hotel, which is a nice bonus.

Nice clean hotel. The shower was high water pressure and very hot (too hot) tried again a few hours later and the temperature was fine. Otherwise a very clean and modern hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. They did put a lot of holds on my card which was annoying (over $1000 total) for one nights stay.

Room 212 shouldn't be offered to guests. Its basically a closet suitable for housekeeping supplies, not guests dropping $200+ per night. The window was frosted and drafty, overlooking a very loud air conditioning/heating system. The staff was friendly and helped as best they could. Having a full size bathtub, running water, and clean bed is why you got 2 stars. I will not be back

We really like the hotel's "study", a space with shelves full of books and weird objects, a fireplace and a coffee bar. We had drinks there and also breakfast. We had drinks at the other bar too, within their restaurant. Bartender was very fun even if he was still learning his wine menu. Room had a large bathroom with a rainfall shower and a big bathtub that could be filled up in less than a minute, great! Bed and pillows were perfect. TV was tiny.
