Just got into Denver and am staying at Teatro. Had dinner here and all was great. Wine and steak outstanding--a nice relaxing upscale environment after a days travel from the east coast.

The staff was very unprofessional and it felt like they were talking down to me and my girlfriend. We had to wait 15 minutes to be checked in and almost wasn't able to stay the night because the front desk person typed in my name wrong. He didn't even apologize for it. The hotel in general was decent, but I would like to have free or even discounted parking for guests and not pay a crazy amount for valet. Just not a very plesent time there.

Amazing weekend thanks to the staff and employees of the Hotel Teatro. From the valet staff picking us up at Union Station, to the front desk staff that got is in an amazing room with a perfect view of downtown. It made our late-Valentine's Day weekend absolutely perfect. The bar staff at The Nickel was great and the food for Restaurant Week was super delicious.

It is a unique and comfy hotel. It is right downtown Denver and easy to walk to places downtown. The beds are amazing and the room was quite classy!! The rooms are very clean and modern!! The staff is very helpful and friendly! I highly recommend the stay!

The e-mail address given on the web site to the general manager does not deliver mail.
We stayed at the Hotel this weekend, and I felt like giving some feed back. The Teatro Hotel is really my favorite Hotel, and unfortunately it takes a bit of saving for us, to be able afford to stay there.
So this was our long awaited weekend, it was great, but there where a few things to mention.
On arrival we where greeted with raised eyebrows and the question "yes"? Not so welcoming...
Our room, had the curtain hanging off the ceiling where it had come undone. We requested that to be fixed, but that did not happen.
The carpet between the bed and window has big stains and had crumbs on it, and the remote control for the television was sticky/oily and did not work. At the reception we where told that it should work fine...
The scale in the bathroom had a dead battery which was replaced after we reassured the receptionist that it really did not work. We went down to the restaurant around 10pm to have dessert, but the waitress unfortunately never came to take our order so we decided to leave after 20 minutes.
In the morning the coffee maker at the reception desc had no water or milk to refill, and it was broken as well.
When it was finally replaced the coffee and tea containers had been removed. I hope this helps you to make the hotel experience a better one for future guests.

If you're looking for a nice place to stay, this is probably not it. For similar prices in the area, you can do much better. Pros: boutique feeling, plush linens, fairly friend staff Cons: toilet sounds like it will lift off when flushing, wifi is a joke, TV only works slightly well, valet parking cost is astronomical for overnight, no ice machine. Wouldn't waste the money again on this place.

The room was "guaranteed" at 3:00. I couldn't get in my room until 4:00. Waited in lounge area right off the front desk and for a place that presents itself as upscale, I would have expected someone to come and offer me a refreshment--water, soft drink, glass of wine. If the cable was HD I couldn't tell. Shower looked unfinished. Glass half way and then a shower vitamin that fell short of hitting ground by over a foot. Floor was always wet and dangerous. Housekeeping couldn't seem to grasp that decaf was different from reg coffee so every day had to call down to get regular coffee because I had all decaf. Room always seemed hotter at night like the air was on computer and turned down after certain hour. Much of this is not a big deal and if this was the Holiday Inn rating might be higher, BUT it is not. Presents as upscale but falls short. For price, expected more.

Very nice hotel. The front desk staff were unable to merge my reservation for two separate days so we had to get new room keys each day. And housekeeping thought we were a check out so our room wasn't clean until we complained. Frustrating.

Nice room, very helpful employees. The room had somewhat weird lighting (lack of lights in the main area, and lots on interconnected switches). Also had two rooms that were linked together, which was interesting. Showers were very nice.

Steven, Jeff and Matt at the front desk were amazing. Morgan from the restaurant was awesome. Service, amenities, environment, food, valet, cleanliness, and room were all high quality. They are very familiar with other restaurants near by, helped us pick a great one based on the style of food we were wanting.

I highly highly recommend this hotel, and will for sure be coming back myself.

The hotel was very conveniently located to where we needed to be. The decor was nice and the room was a great size with a comfy bed and a fantastic shower. If I'm ever in the area I would definately stay again.

It's a different kind of hotel. It's old and the rooms have stairs in them which is not convenient for ones with small children. If it's busy there is no place to park to check in as the area in the front on the hotel can only accommodate maybe 6 vehicles.
Once checked in we noticed the comforter on the bed had what looked like a blood stain on it as did one of the pillow cases (The staff got us new linens). We also needed a refrigerator to keep things cold for our child. The one in the room wasn't even keeping cold. It just stayed on continuously.
Overall the staff was great and the stay was okay.

From the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out and every detail and interaction between, Hotel Teatro was a five-star rated experience. We were here to celebrate my wife s birthday and she arrived, maintained and left with a smile. Thanks for helping us make memories. We ll be back, no doubt!

Great food and staff - we have been there several times as we live in the metro area. The chefs are fantastic too and sometimes visit our table - highly recommend for that special occasion or when guest visit from out of town.

Chose this place for restaurant week, both because the menu looked amazing, and because we'd only heard great things from friends. First off, the service was fantastic. The host was able to accommodate our specific seating request, and our server, (Rick?) was wonderful and on top of everything. The ambiance is great and it's a beautiful restaurant. However, the food fell completely flat. We got the short ribs and the octopus. Short rib was coated in an overly sweet tomato jelly that absolutely overwhelmed the dish, and the octopus dish was overcooked and tasted like any "etoufee" that you could get at a diner. Desert was a flavorless, dry strawberry shortcake served in a tiny mason jar. We left pretty dissatisfied. Glad we tried such a highly recommended restaurant, but ultimately won't be back.

I come to Denver once a year on business around the same time for a conference and last year I decided to adventure out of the four seasons and gave hotel Teatro a try, I remember my experience last year vividly and the hospitality I received from the staff, specifically the maintenance team when my safe and TV would not work properly. Jose and Shane or Shawn I believe their names were, were so helpful and generous! Their professionalism and quick to fix the problem were the main reason i came back this year. Unfortunately, I did have some problems with my room and the locks, and I received help from another older gentlemen i had never met before that was very unprofessional and rude came to help, and wasn't much help at all. I went to have a drink while they fixed my door just to come back and still have the problem. I found out they never fixed it and got "sidetracked". I found this very unpleasing and needless to say, I have told my company to switch me back to the four seasons due to this experience. I love the atmosphere of this hotel but wish my experience with the staff was as great as the time before. I gave two stars, one for the atmosphere and one for the food.

I can't shout louder in the mountains than to say this place is AMAZING!! After staying in another 5 star downtown Denver hotel and having a broken shower that clogged. Matt and Alaina were amazing!! My BF and I took an impromptu vacay and stayed in over 8 hotels on our trip. Matt and Aliana made it the most memorable. I called them the day of our reservation and told them i was sad and upset i couldn't shower at our current hotel. When we arrived it was apparent they picked our room and setup bath salts, oil and bath soap for a nice soothing bath. No charge just caring and loving to our strange situation.. even let us check in early!! I loved this place to no end. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Teatro!! It also has a cool history as an old bus station.. but hey don't let that desuade you from going, wonderful change up. It's beautiful and luxurious and everything we needed on vacation. THANK YOU Matt and Alaina!!! Love you both for being fantastic and on top of your game!!! (And if you all are reading this, sorry for the lateness as you both deserved this so much sooner) hope to see and stay with you again soon!!!!
