Had dinner at Nickel. Service wasn't good, food was just ok. Probably won't be returning.
Amazing comfortable room! Desk was super helpful! Even able to lend us an umbrella when an unexpected shower hit! The bathroom was super luxurious with rain shower and deep tub. Stay here for your next special occasion and you will not be disappointed!
Very nice hotel. I'd rather stay in a less fancy place with a hot tub and a free breakfast though.
Everything about my stay at Teatro exceeded my expectations!
Very happy with our stay. Great location.
Two blocks from larimer street, which is the home of many great fine dinning restaurants and shopping.
The rooms are as expected "city rooms' small and beautiful.
The bar is open and as expected very pricey.
The restaurant was not open.
Masks are required needles to say.
Great friendly staff.
Jeff is a service genius. Read my mind. Perfect stay.
Visitedas part of Doors Open Denvef. Cool history to the hotel. Perky staff.
Fantastic rooms, modern and sophisticated but I never felt separated or removed from the wonderful city we came to visit. Can't believe the great chef team! Was able to talk with them and learn a bit too. Thanks to the door valet and super polite desk staff. I'm sure there are plenty back of the house that made sure everything was perfect as well. Thank you.
A bit expensive but one of the most beautiful hotels I've ever been to.
Great location. Great service. Air is very very dry. Made it difficult yo sleep.
Very good employees and the hotel is nice and very clean.
Beautiful and clean rooms, and fantastic service. Will definitely come back for another special occasion.
I don t think I ve ever left a Google review but in this case I just had too. Teatro is awesome. It s a small boutique hotel with big luxury hotel service. Very welcoming pet policy. Great restaurant. Awesome location. Lovely clean room. My work trip felt a little like a vacation (a little)!
Great food. Great service. Good place if youre catching a show
Great restaurant had a great meal during thanksgiving
A nice hotel in downtown Denver. Very clean and comfortable. Beautiful establishment with a lovely staff. Moderate road noise from the 9th floor. The apple cider donut from the breakfast venue is a must!
This place was great. The room was nice with an excellent restroom. The restaurant downstairs had delicious food but I really loved the fresh juices there.
The location was about the best it could be. It was downtown, walking distance to quite a few places and not far from Coors field.
The best thing was the staff. They were all extremely friendly and even dropped us off near Coors Field for us to get to the game.
Very nice hotel. Concierge was very nice and the room is clean, classy and comfortable. Location is great and the attached restaurant looked good (although we didnt go)
Food was great. Bottomless bloody/white Russian bar was awesome. People were all very nice.
Excellent boutique hotel in downtown Denver, service and location are excellent
Room was great and clean. Everybody was really friendly.
The lobby was decorated very nicely. Marble walls and vintage feel
I reserved a room over the phone for my Mother's 76th birthday present for four nights stay. I specifically requested a room with a view and was told no problem, she would have this. I then made a special trip to the hotel the night before she arrived to make absolutely sure that she would have this room with a view, and was told yes, she would. There was also notable construction ( one of their restaurants closed and fully under construction, a fact that was never mentioned to me when I made the reservation and told them that I wanted my mother to have a great experience).Well, when we arrived at the hotel the next day and she checked into her room, she had a view right into windows of the building right across the street. In other words, no view. They are supposed to provide fresh bottled water to drink in the room, she only got it one night. I got charged twice on my credit card (once in Feb and once in May) so I decided to call the manager to discuss the issues that we had and never received a call back. I had some other friends who were coming into town, and told them Hotel Teatro is NOT a good choice for them. Incidentally, accounting did end of refunding the extra charge on my CC, at least they said they did, it is pending.
Super convenient location, right around the block from the show we saw at Comedy Works. Deep soaking tub and rain shower head made the room feel very luxurious. Plus the food at the restaurant was delicious. Enjoyed the fitness room as well.
What a great place! And they are super accommodating to people with pets. Loved our stay!
I have visited many hotels due to business travel, and I think the Teatro may be the best I've ever stayed at! The rooms were spacey and comfortable - arranged more like small apartments than typical hotel rooms. I had a desk, couch, loveseat. The bed was very comfortable, and there was a small fridge. The bath was appointed in beautiful stone flooring, and the sink counter was spacious enough to hold my things AND A TV which one could watch while bathing! I declined to use the phone in the bathroom! The small balconey had a pretty view, and the tall ceilings made it feel luxurious.
Most impressive, though, was the service. Personal note and dish of chocolates upon arrival, and fresh ice in the bucket! Pristinely clean! I don't gush a whole lot, but this was a fantastic place to stay.
VALET DAMAGED MY CAR!
I valeted my car here to support my mom competing in the Mrs. Colorado pageant. I have a rare lung condition (I wear a medication pump that gives me medicine directly into my heart) and walking is difficult enough, I didn t think to walk around my car at 12:00AM with two tired children. I called the hotel and talked to a manager, who of course is trying to deflect the damage to be my fault. The damage is clearly from trying to park and failing. I just want them to make it right, but I can t even get a call back!!
This hotel is so expensive, yet lacks professionalism and common courtesy. I will never trust my car with them again, and neither will my mom or her pageant friends.
Wonderful, charming and romantic hotel! Historic charm, modern rooms. Service is always outstanding. Don't miss breakfast at Prima, one of the best around.
The good:
Room is very clean and well updated. Actually the whole hotel is modern and kept up with the times. The staff is courteous and helpful. It shows that they are willing to go that extra mile to make your stay special.
The bad:
We were on the fifth floor, but we still heard noises from the street and traffic during the night. There was a stain on our sheet and one of pillows definitely stunk. We were given handicap room which wasn't bad, but odd.
The ugly:
There was nothing terrible
This historical building has been renovated beautifully. However, the service does not maintain that old style. There was some serious miscommunication between the front desk and the services department. Promises were made to my wife and I, but were broken and then denied that they were ever made. To put the icing on the cake, there is limited parking adjacent to the hotel and they want an absurd $42/ night for valet. Very doubtful we would stay here again.
Very nice. Valet. Great bar. Right next door to the convention center.
Can t begin to say enough good things about this hotel and especially Alison. I booked the hotel for my wife while she was visiting town and they went above and beyond to take care of her and make her feel special. My wife felt like a million bucks staying there and flattered by the special attention to detail Alison out into her stay. I m told by my wife it s the only place we are staying next time we visit Denver and I m excited to experience it myself.
Excellent service , very private yet convenient to all that downtown Denver has to offer.
Very friendly staff. Great location. Car available for drop-off and pick-up was very helpful.
Loved this boutique hotel. Such beautiful decor and details. Great room with very comfortable bed! Very friendly, accommodating and helpful staff!
I went for dinner and drinks at The Nickel. Most drinks were good quality and well presented, but the apple gin gimlet with lemon foam (sous chef's invention) was magical. The salmon crudo was rich and buttery, nicely cut with the acid from the red cabbage slaw. The braised short rib was succulent and absolutely melted in my mouth. The chef also described a Persian inspired bass, seasoned with pomegranate seeds, cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove that may have to be my next meal there. Even the simpler dishes on the menu seem to have a little kick that elevates them above the norm. Looking forward to my next visit!
Went for a social event. Food and service was pretty good.
Amazing hotel right in the heart or downtown Denver. The concierge can handle any requests you have and then some. Would definitely recommend this hotel
The rooms are really well layed out! Also if you all the concierge they have bubbles and bath bombs for the awesome bathtubs!
We didn't stay at the hotel but ate in the Nickle restaurant. I had the chicken and waffles, very good.
This was a very comfortable hotel. While the bathroom space was a bit snug, the beds were comfortable. Parking was convenient, and there was a restaurant attached to the property that had a very nice happy hour menu. My only complaint is the obscenely slow elevators. Be prepared to wait. That aside, very decent place.
Hotel Teatro is a beautiful boutique hotel that I've stayed at personally and worked with professionally. I really appreciate their attention to detail and customer service. As a corporate event planner, it's always special to find a hotel that is both charming and dedicated to their clients. Special shout out to Grace and her Reservations Supervisor for their excellent service. Looking forward to working with you again soon.
Beautiful architecture. Great bar service. Swank atmosphere.
The hotel was nice and clean. Matthew was incredibly helpful. He made sure that we were taken care of. When we got to the hotel he had a personal note for us and it was personalized and just a really amazing stay.
A very cool hotel with a unique atmosphere. I was only there for dinner and drinks, but the food was great and it was a neat place for a bite. The hotel itself was overall pretty upscale, and if I had the opportunity, I'd likely be happy to stay there.
My company chose to use Hotel Teatro for an all day business event! The staff went above and beyond to make our day enjoyable and was very accommodating for all of our needs throughout the day. We will definitely use the hotel again for future business events!
Friendly and ultra accommodating staff. Anything from big to small, they handle with Grace and a smile. If you're staying in the downtown Denver district and don't consider Hotel Teatro you're missing out.
Beautiful hotel! The staff was very welcoming and inviting!
My stay in this hotel ended up being more significant than I ever imagined. Please take the time to read this if you are unsure of Hotel Teatro...
My boyfriend and I were planning to take a road trip to Denver from Dallas and decided to book through Hotwire. We specifically searched for pet friendly hotels as we were taking our 9 y/o dog Rio with us. We ended up booking a hot rate deal and got the Brown Palace Hotel for four nights. On their website, they mention "The Brown Palace Hotel and Spa is pleased to be one of the most welcoming pet friendly hotels Denver offers. Please note that the hotel welcomes one dog under 60 pounds for a non-refundable deposit of $125." However, upon checking in at 11 pm after a terribly long drive, we discover that the so called pet friendly policy is not friendly at all! No complimentary dog bowls or bed were provided and dogs are not allowed to be left unattended in the room at any time. The pet fee is one of the most expensive I have ever encountered yet I have no idea what the cost is even allocated towards. I tried to explain to the hotel yet they were not helpful at all. Fortunately, I was able to speak with Hotwire who helped change my booking to a stay with Hotel Teatro. I had called prior and spoke with Matthew on the phone who reassured me that well behaved pets were allowed unattended in their rooms and there was no pet fee. Once we arrived at Hotel Teatro, we were greeted by Matthew who helped us get checked in. Since we had spoken on the phone earlier, he was aware of the ordeal I had with the BP. He kindly upgraded us to the deluxe corner king room which was such a sincere and thoughtful gesture. I really appreciated his hospitality and effort in making sure we felt welcomed and appreciated as guests. He even brought some treats and bowls for Rio to our room. The difference compared to the BP was night and day. Not to mention, the room was so beautiful and cozy. It definitely made my night that we were met with such kindness and were looking forward to the rest of our stay. Fast forward to Friday, my last full day at the hotel. I was in our room with Rio when all of a sudden, he collapsed and suffered from pericardial effusion. I attempted to rescue him with CPR and we quickly rushed him to the animal hospital. Unfortunately, he had already passed and it was too late. My trip which was supposed to be relaxing and fun quickly became overwhelmed with sadness and grief. I was in so much shock and felt completely heartbroken by my sudden loss. Rio was my first dog and meant so much to me. After we said our goodbyes, we arrived back at the hotel. I sat in the room crying as my boyfriend went to inform the hotel of the recent events. When Rio was passing, he lost control of his bladder and urinated on the carpet which we wanted to let them know about. As we were both grieving in our room, we received a knock on the door and a visit from Melissa who came to give us her condolences. She brought us a bottle of champagne to celebrate Rio's life along with a heartfelt handwritten letter on behalf of the hotel. For someone who has never experienced loss and felt so numb, this genuine act of care truly put me to tears. It gave me comfort to know that Rio's last moments were at a place where he was welcomed and loved even by strangers. Although we still grieved and cried many tears during our last night, we were able to make a special toast to our angel above. That horrible day will always be in my memory but I feel so grateful towards Hotel Teatro for making it as painless as they could. I couldn't imagine how I would've felt if we had been stuck at the BP instead. Thank you so much Matthew, Melissa, and the entire staff at Teatro for your incredible compassion, warmth, and generosity during the most significant trip of my life. I hope to return one day to be able to cherish my last memories with Rio.
Eternally thankful, DW.
I stayed overnight at Teatro and our room was good, but super small. Also, the whole building had a sewage smell. Aside from that, the people were nice and breakfast/coffee bar we're good. It is not your standard hotel.
Our stay in Teatro was fantastic and I've got to thank Matt for that... he had the most amazing customer service and attention to detail I've ever received at a hotel. The room was nice great shower, bath, bed! The hotel was nice but the service was even better! We will come back! Plus they took excellent care with our fur baby!!
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Teatro over Labor Day weekend!
The boutique hotel was welcoming. beautifully decorated, and the staff was kind; however, we were most impressed by the extraordinary service and welcoming from Matthew in Concierge-- his thoughtful and kind gestures really made our weekend special, we will definitely be back!
By far one of my favorites! Very clean and elegant.
Very nice staff. The cost equals the quality of service. Love historical places.
Great place, comfortable, quiet, and a great staff.
Friendly staff, little Cafe in the lobby, good location and nice room.
Wow what a lovely Hotel! My mom and I stayed for a mother's day gift to ourselves! The service was warm and friendly our room was so luxurious! The ambience of the Nickel restaurant and the Lobby were fabulous. I do however have a story at 1am I was awaken by a blanket sliding off my legs when I looked at the side of the bed there was nothing! A ghost maybe.....
stopped to have drinks at Nickel. excellent drinks, charcuterie, ans service.
The hotel itself is gorgeous along with friendly staff, we did run into a issue with the room and a housekeeper being snotty but front desk handled it immediately and did their best to rectify it which was GREATLY appreciated.
Me an two girlfriends converged for a 40 hour reunion. All was done, based on online pics and references. Our stay could not have been more perfect or satisfying. Our every request was immediately serviced in the most friendly and professional manner. Specifically, Mathew, our concierge, ensured everything from extra waters, sheets and towels, after hours snacks, early morning fresh brewed coffee and even arranged cycles for our days excursions. Totally recommend this hotel and it s service!
A wonderful hotel with beautifully appointed rooms and fantastic service. Can't recommend highly enough, a welcome change from the chains.
Balcony queen room was wonderful! 24 hr room service and a great on site restaurant was so worth it! Would stay again!
It is in a terrible location if you are interested in sleeping. A concert let out across the street at 1:30 AM. For the next 1.5 hours people were shouting, fighting, and playing their car stereos so loudly the windows in the room were shaking/vibrating until 3:00 AM. The room was dirty: there was hair all over the room and bathroom. The shower fixture in the room was broken and exposed from the ceiling dropping drywall on you as you showered. Save your money and stay someplace else. I have stayed in cleaner and quieter rooms for 1/8 the cost. Don't get ripped off like I did. I will never stay there or recommend anyone else stay there ever again.
Beautiful hotel. The staff went above and beyond for my Uncle who was staying here. Nickel, has amazing food and wine with extremely friendly staff! The brussel sprouts were amazing! The "build your own charcuterie" was amazing as well! We will definitely be back!
Great staff and service. Loved the room we got and great location.
A nice hotel and clean rooms. It was in a great location too. Highly recommend.
Beautiful hotel. We brought our dogs while passing through, and they were extremely accommodating. Valet attendants were super helpful, and informative. Front desk staff were super helpful when we needed an ice pack whipped up. Would definitely recommend, and would absolutely stay again.
AMAZING STAY WITH OUR DOGS Very pet friendly. Our room was beautiful with a balcony and walking distance to restaurants and bars.
Historic interesting old hotel close to downtown and 16th street mall - great staff!
Bed made my back ache by the morning. Besides that it was excellent. GREAT service, friendly, accommodating people, very nice room with a view. Amenities are all high quality, they even delivered the sweatshirt I'd left in our car parked by the valet to my hotel room so I could go for a walk. Really nice rain forest dual shower head, and large tub.
Beautiful hotel, excellent amenities, and a courteous staff who are professional and willing to go the extra mile to make sure your stay is excellent. It is the epitome of a "boutique" hotel. I have been staying there regularly for almost 10 years and it continues to be my go-to hotel when traveling to Denver.
The hotel was nice, the room was good. The bathroom was great with a nice soaking tub and separate shower with a waterfall shower head. The hotel did not have a garage associated with it but there was a garage one block away which was nice. Staff very nice and accommodating.
Cool ambience in the study. Good drinks and appetizers.
Nice digs. Great service. They have an in house shuttle service as well that's fantastic.
