A three-star hotel, nothing more. Very nice breakfast room with panoramic view. Room cleaning OK. Uncomfortable mattress. Sad bathroom.

Good location, close to good restaurants, the view and the room were so so. Breakfast buffet was just ok, not too many choices, great view from the breakfast room. The bathroom needs some updating, and it's very small, the towels are very thin.

A stone's throw from the bourgeois villa, the location is really beautiful. There is no guarded parking but there is a metro station practically attached to the hotel. The rooms are not very large but essential. Breakfast could improve as to variety of choice, but what is there is not bad.

A nice quaint place to stay for a short break in Rome. However this is not a 4star hotel, 3 at best. The rooms definitely need urgent freshing up. What is frustrating that if some money was spent on it it could be spectacular. The hotel has an ideal breakfast/restraunt area on the top floor with stunning views. There is a lovely boutique style lounge and bar area, but the bar is never opened!!!!!
If money isnt spent soon this place could well fall into disuse.

Lol 33 degree celsius heats in Rome and no air conditioning even after we made the staff aware of the issue??? And a very impatient elevator to boot, i cannot reccomend ever staying at this hotel at least during the summer
The service was alright but my experience during the nights was completely ruined by the heat.

Great hotel with amazing views of the Vatican and surrounding areas from the breakfast room. Easy to walk into town and see all the amazing buildings, squares etc.

One of the worst places ever. I have been traveling for years and been to Rome before but never in the world did I see a hotel which would charge you for you wife to stay with you.

They said she was a guest and I will have to pay for her to stay. Writing the review from the hotel. I kno you dont know me but as a fellow traveler listen to me and do not book your stay here if you value your money and if you dont want to walk around Rome with a bad mood.

It is well located, very close to the Trevi fountain. The lodging includes breakfast, although it seems that they charge it because there is a tax of $ 15 for all visitors (they charge it in all of Italy). The hotel is acceptable, clean and tidy. It feels old, needs a remodel and the elevator (elevator) is really small!

The hotel is old and tired. The cleaning is extremely poor, especially in the bathrooms. It's so bad you don't want to touch anything! Everything smells old and moldy. Shower doesn't work properly, toilets don't flush properly, there's an air con of sorts, but you can't change the temperature and sleeping in 25 degrees is asking for a headache, the breakfast is the same every day, and there are BED BUGS! We were covered in bites during our stay, and the staff is anything but helpful! They simply deny the problem and look at you like you are a nuisance :( The wifi is so slow it's practically non-existant and if you open the window you can expect no sleep due to heavy traffic as well as the smell of smoke from other guests smoking in the their rooms even though it's supposed to be a smoke free hotel.

I recommend staying far away from this hotel! It's not even close to deserving a 4 star rating, I would say 2-2,5 at best.

The luxurious hotel can already be changed by Google. Maybe in another era it was 4 stars but over time it has been losing them. Too classic rooms, lighting, beds, bathrooms. Justito. A relic carpeted.

Very expensive hotel for the care that was put in the rooms that looked elegant years ago. All clean, but definitely overtaken by a and in rather narrow spaces. B quiet and peaceful with a beautiful enclosed terrace on which to eat (breakfast) overlooking the Pincio and has a beautiful view of a part of Rome. High prices.

Great hotel to spend a few days in Rome. Quite small and could do with a lick of paint but rooms were spacious and furnished tastefully. Breakfast was good and was on the top floor so fantastic views. Staff were very nice.

The staff is very helpful. Great location, near the center and a large park (Borghese). The air conditioning is bad, even broke twice in our room (was immediately repaired). The whole hotel is outdated, the rooms not really clean (sticky doors, bit dusty) the bathrooms are not fresh, with moldy silicone, and worn shower doors. Respect for the staff, they still have to keep things going and resolve the complaints. The breakfast was okay but no more than that; no variation, moderate (soluble?) coffee. Very basic.

Nice area with many nice attractions, the hotel itself was not much to brag about. Bad internet and breakfast, a very worn hotel one can say. It needs an update.

A very cozy place and if you want to transport us to another time in Rome, although the elevator is small, attention, rooms and breakfast were adequate, I would stay at the hotel again

Spacious three-bed room, comfortable bathroom, varied and plentiful breakfast. The staff has always been kind and helpful.

- Hotel is well classically designed.
- Room is beautiful and clean.
- Service is great and very kind.
- Breakfast is very good and located on last floor which allow you to have a great view on all the city.

Bad:
- The only thing i can think about is that the hotel is located on the top of a hill.

Stayed for three nights. A great hotel, central location near the Spanish Steps, polite, corteuous staff, all our requests were happily met.

Fantastic location. Very good breakfast in restaurant with stunning view of Villa Borghese and the Vatican. Great value for money. Would love to come back and spend more time here.

It was already better. I went in 2005, 2013 and returned in 2018. Had no internet, room TV did not work and staff were crazy receptive.

Extremely helpful staff, but the hotel is not exactly the best, especially since it is a 4-star hotel, quite "abandoned", not very clean, and breakfast, although good, is not varied!

Well, what can one say to that? If one on new resp. newly renovated 4 star hotels, then you will be disappointed here. It is all very old and looks accordingly. The breakfast buffet is also very modest. But one is rewarded with a great view of the Vatican.
The location is great. In 5 minutes you are at the Spanish Steps.

It was mediocre as a stay we were swindled by the housekeeper, I was not found my shopping on the last day and another resident who forgot his safe opened lost 400 euros

Good location. Helpful staff. Nice view from breakfast room on the 6th floor. Hotel is dated and needs an update. Aircon didn't work in the room. Bar was not open at all during the 2 day stay. Iron available but no ironing board.

4 stars? But please! Only the cost is for a 4-star hotel. Old and not very clean rooms, old structure, bar in disuse for 3 years (so they said). It does not offer any service. Very uncomfortable mattress, the first floor seems to have been reopened in a hurry, in fact the walls are not even painted, small and dirty bathroom. In short, an experience not to be repeated at all

The friendly and nice staff, but then a crap.
4 days in Rome passed very well if it weren't for the hotel that really spoiled everything a bit.
I spent a day and a half without hot water. And even before I left, while I was trying to take a shower, (after they had assured me that they had solved the problem) the shower almost exploded, for more than half an hour only the wrinkle came out. I went downstairs to complain but for them as far as I could understand it was not a problem. They didn't even apologize.
The rooms are "old fashioned" (like the rest of the hotel).
Pretty good breakfast but definitely not for a 4 star hotel (it doesn't even deserve a star!)

A great hotel, in a very good location, a lot of attractions almost within walking distance, if you didn't rest in it, but for example in the area of Roma Termini, the impressions about the rest would not be so good.

Antique but pleasant style. The staff is kind and welcoming and above all it is central as an area and with a 5 minute walk you can reach Piazza di Spagna.

Alas, I didn't have a great experience, I stayed 4 nights for work.
Hotel very dated but not taken care of, ruined and not very functional doors, dirty wallpaper, in the bedroom and on the floor you could smell bad, uncomfortable bed, in the bathroom the cleaning / courtesy sets were not removed and repositioned, the second day they are had to go to reception to request shower shampoo.
The reception? Never a smile or the well arrived. one thing I can't stand is the carpet everywhere (subjective taste) especially if you don't clean it properly.
Beautiful view from the breakfast room, but not exceptional the quality of the skimpy buffet.

Very attentive staff but lousy room. Mattresses so old that the springs were stuck in the body. Poly leather headboard that peeled and fell on your hair Shower screen all rusty. Small room, to open the window you have to move the television to open the refrigerator to move the chair. Vintage decoration that remained in that era. It needs a great renovation. The location is good

Our reservation was cancelled but we didn t find out until we arrived at the hotel. However, the gentleman at the desk was very apologetic and the hotel covered our taxi costs to transfer to the next hotel.

Nice hotel in a good location 10 mins away from Piazza Barberini and Spanish Steps metro. We arrived early, before 11am but they checked us in straight away without even blinking. Friendly staff at the reception and breakfast, which was a bit basic, but nice enough. Two slight negatives - there's no air conditioning in the rooms, so even in April/May we had to sleep with the window open, which was a bit noisy. Also, the shower in our room was a bit weird, half door, half shower curtain where the other door had obviously broken. There was a curtain rail propped up over the half door, which fell on us a couple of times! So they don't appear to be up to date with room maintenance. But the rooms were big, brightly decorated, the bed was comfy, so overall we were pretty impressed.

Nice room, nice hotel but front desk was not manned most of the time. We sat in the lounge/bar for 25 minutes one evening without any attention or service. Air conditioning/heating applies to the entire building so in May we cant have air conditioning in our room because the building is set to heat.Breakfast was nice but he scrambled eggs were cold and old looking. Its a good location but if you are walking you should be aware that this hotel located on top of a steep hill. After checking out we realized that we had left some items in the room and it was an ordeal to retrieve them. Judith Western Australia May 2016

Convenient location near Villa Borghese and quiet area even for walking in the evening. Triple room very large comfortable bed, bathroom that needs a renovation but still functional. Beautiful breakfast room with a view, discreet breakfast in the desserts, poor quality on the savory. Adequate price, passable staff.

In Portugal it would never be a 4 star ... Lack of staff !!!

Breakfast with the best views of Rome

We had planned to stay 3 nights in a nearby B&B but the space was too small for us. We walked into the Hotel Eliseo and were greeted and helped by a very friendly concierge who booked us into a suite for the price of a room. This saved our Rome experience and we will be checking out tomorrow morning very happy travelers. The included breakfast is served on the 6th floor which offers beautiful city views.
Everything was within walking distance and the few taxis we did take were about 12 Euros one way for a quick drive.

A four star hotel located 10 minutes far from the Spanish steps. Nice and comfortable rooms. It slso has a beautiful dining room located on the 6th floor, provinding an amazing view of Rome while eating breakfast.

Is a couple there for a week, the hotel is a bit outdated in design, or has not been renovated there for a long time, but I think that is the thing in hotels in Rome.

Nice dining room with panoramic views of all of Rome from the terrace.
The rooms are comfortable, we lack nothing.
The only problem is that when we turned on the hair dryer every time the electricity went down a room. And the electricity would come back on only about 10 minutes after that .. so it was hard to sit in the dark and wait.
Teaches this malom relatively close to the center but on a very sharp descent .. back very exhausting and difficult to ascend the ascent back to the hotel after all the walk.

Well plave in the center of the old town near Spagna place.Beautiful old building with fabulouscview from the breafast room. Sadly doesn't warrant a 4 stars as the beds were very unconfortable full of springs. The decor well faded and the cleaning was really bsd particularly we wetecquiet and at acorona voruscoutbreak on.

NO A/C! Gave this place about 7 hours before leaving for the Marriott. Checked in at 1:30, immediately turned up the "A/C" to full blast, came back later that evening to a hot as hell room. I'm cold at 75 degrees and even I couldn't stand it. They advertise that they have A/C but they don't. If you don't actually have A/C, don't lie about it. Other issues-couldn't plug anything into the outlets because they were loose so the plugs fell out, rented two rooms and the drain in one shower didn't drain so the water over flowed and the water from other shower spewed all over the place, the shower doors didn't actually close all the way, the TVs didn't work, there was gum residue on the floor next to one of the beds, and the room for three people had two twin beds. This place was a disaster, thank god the credit card company cancelled the charges and we got out. The Marriott actually has A/C and it feels amazing.

Very disappointed in this place because we were lied to. We specifically asked if there was AC in the rooms and they told us yes. The hotel is also advertised as having AC. We got to the room and the AC didn't work at all. They basically told us we were sol. Didn't give us any money off nor did they call a repair man. They said they could switch rooms for us but we would probably have the same problem in other rooms. This is called false advertising. I would give it 0 stars if I could. Don't appreciate being lied to.

The location is good. Good service. If you have large suitcases, you have to go in stages, because the elevator is very small.
