Awesome hotel with a lot of history. Feels like the 1800s. Didn't stay here but walked around the big property with nice beach front. Beware of hotel parking that is usually around 30 bucks

This is an amazing hotel, one of the best. Though it may be a little pricey, ONE HUNDRED PERCENT WORTH IT! The food is amazing, your right next to the beach, and the rooms are tidy and clean. I would recommend this to anyone with A bit of money and some time on there hands.
The sea towers are old and removed from the hotel. Makes you feel unwelcome and the sea smelt like sewage. Wasn't a pleasant trip.
Great hotel but the food isn't great and overpriced!
Hotel is nice but expensive. Oddly enough, it feels old and in some ways outdated. The caterers were not knowledgeable of the food they were serving. Otherwise the staff and the experience was good. I would not pay the price for the outdated rooms.
Wow of hotel. Spend, spend, spend at this magnificent place. A Wonderful beach and first rate restaurants.
Spectacular historic hotel! Great atmosphere, deck, food, service and cocktails! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are nicely decorated. The restaurants and shops are all first class and what one would expect from Hilton Curio. Looking forward to seeing the new hotel once renovations are complete!
Room was beautiful. Interior was beautiful. I liked the decor. Great location. View was beautiful. Staff were nice and provided a great services. Perfect lighting.
One of the most iconic spots in the San Diego area! I love it more each time. It s a great place to people watch or stroll on the beach.
Incredible area and first time visiting. My wife and are were really impressed. We visited each hotel and asked for rates for a future stay. Convenient access to the beach. Ferry rides are very inexpensive and gives you a great look of downtown San Diego.
GORGEOUS place. The sand is so soft and the beach is so clean. Lots of seashells too!
Classic bar. Great atmosphere. Parking is outrageous though. $30 for 2 hours.
It was beautiful, has los of activities including ice skating
Amazing place with great view.I would recommend this place to everyone. Grab a drink on the deck and watch the sun set
One of my favorite places in the San Diego area at Christmas time! The lights, ice skating, music- it feels so festive. Never miss it
I went for the day and had a great time. Beach is beautiful. Food and service was great. I ate at Evo the pizza restaurant. One of the best pizzas I have ever had!
The gift shop was great. The staff that runs it was very helpful. Also stopped by the haunted room. Can't wait to stay there when I can!
Nice little property.. Enjoyed the food and the atmosphere
Beautiful place, love coronado and this is definitely a must go even if you are not staying
Beautiful Hotel beautiful location. Don't waste your time or money at the Sunday Brunch.
First visit and it won't be the last...AMAZING FACILITIES
Beautiful and can't wait to go back and stay. Just went to eat lunch
A great hotel with miles long impeccable sand beach right in front. Dining is rather pricy, but you can walk to other places.
Very nice view. The staff was so helpful and amazing
This place is highly overrated. The location can t be beat, but they rest of their laurels. The service is sub par and the food is mediocre at best. I d say the entire place is like buying a bud light and being charged for Veuve Clicquot.
Stayed here many years as a child visited again this summer while staying at another hotel while the location is amazing and the hotel is absolutely beautiful you can get much better value from nearby hotels and still visit.
Just visited the bar and patio. Didn't stay at the hotel. But the bar staff was great. The property is impressive and historic. Right on the beach. Great views from the patio.
Lots of nice shops and a great hotel. PERFECT location.
It's a lovely space on the Sun Deck to spend a Sunday afternoon. Have been here a few times without trouble but this last time, my credit card charge came to me with a tip added even though we tipped in cash. Disappointed at this issue as I am not close enough to go there to resolve the issue in person and need to call in or deal with my credit card company. Not a desired open issue...
I'm sure many people will appreciate the history and character of this place. For me however, the prices here indicates premium, which is not. It's a dilapidated building with bad did and mediocre service. The building needs to be bulldozed and rebuilt. The town is nice though.
Since hilton took over the service kevel has declined. A great venue but service like at a garden inn. Yourcstatus doesnt get you much and the late check out policy is poor
Very beautiful place with amazing views especially sunset, all the staff here are very kind
Skylar took great care of us. He was very personable and great to talk to. The food was good, we had pizza. Little smaller than I had anticipated, but the flavor and textures were good. Beautiful dining views of the ocean.
This hotel is in one of the most beautiful locations in all of the US. Unfortunately, it s living off of its past success and the new owners have let it fall into a category of a Holiday Inn Express. The rooms are old and dated and of the tourists crashing the resort isn t bad enough, the service is like a three star hotel. For the same money you can stay at a Four Seasons or Ritz. If you want to play the part act like a 5- star hotel or let someone like Disney buy you out.
must visit in coronado and in San Diego. classy environment
Beautiful historic hotel! Luxury shopping and dining. Easy access to Coronado Beach. Must stay or at least visit the common areas.
Place is pretty old. The grounds are beautiful though. Right on the water. Beautiful landscaping.
I had lunch and a drink on the beach patio. The surf and turf tacos were very good and the service very professional. This place is very pricey though, so be prepared to pay very high prices.
The room was beautiful, the light show was a let down. It is extremely pricey
Such a great experience with my family, The Best Ocean View once you wake up
Beautiful environment to be around in both inside and outside. Great customer service. If you would like to take a tour around the hotel, I would recommend going early.
It's beautiful and historic! Even if you don't stay overnight, there is plenty to do and see.
Didn't stay there but visited. Very beautiful hotel and beach.
Just walked through to take a look. Worth the time.
Lovely beach to take children . Smores are a must .
This was my first time to the hotel, it lived up to all the hype and more! The hotel is designed and furnished to fit the area perfectly. I would definitely stay here due to the location and the staff. The employees that I interacted with we're first class!
It's cool and all but honestly
When it cost 9$ for a lemonade...yeah...no...
The Hotel del Coronado is an amazing place. Absolutely beautiful and amazing beach. There are shops and plenty of restaurants on site as well. Definitely will come back for dinner and drinks next time we're in town. However be prepared, the food and booze is very expensive for what you get. It's good, just expensive.
I did not actually go inside the hotel, but the beach area is beautiful and very clean highly recommend to even just visit this area.
Ultimate beach experience, clean sand, wonderful views and medium crowds of chilling people
Went shopping in the hotel. I found a wonderful bowtie for my son and scarf for my daughter in law.
Very accommodating room with two different pools among the resort some things with the "full kitchen" are not there like a oven and some cooking utensils but overall great stay especially with the pier just across the street to go fishing at.
Had a spa treatment here while on vacation - lovely spa, beautiful hotel
they had bad food and did not cook it all the way and by child got bit by a bird
Overall, it was a good place to visit and explore some of the spots of Coronado island. I came to visit the hotel and everyone was nice and hospitable. There was a wedding that seemed like a good venue. There was lots of history about the building. I had high expectations but there wasn't much to see other than the main lobby. It's a good place to stay, but there are other hotels that are just as convenient
Employees are great! This resort is an excellent place for a family vacation!
What's not to love about this place? Historic, beautiful, perfect setting on the beach. Iconic
Ate at Sweetwater. Food and service were outstanding. Incredible ocean view. Pricey, but worth it.
I love this hotel. My husband and I got married on the beach here. It holds a lot of sentimental value for us and now we bring our kids here. The jewelry store went out of business which was disappointing because they had one of a kind jewelry. Go here as often as we can. Truly love this place. They have a phenomenal buffet also!!
Grounds are beautiful and ocean front views are amazing. We had a complicated set of reservations that we explained to the front desk. We thought they were understood but apparently not. We were well taken care of for the inconvenience.
Wow! A beautiful place to stay or just to visit. Right on the water with beautiful views. Definitely want to visit again.
Services was mixed. The outside service was fantastic. When renting equipment, the associates were personable. The food service was mixed. The server had a flat personality but the checkout gentleman was great. The lobby service wasn't rude but was blunt and did not consider our needs. They would not validate our parking over a couple of dollars
Poor service. long lines for check in and check out with only one or two staff working the desk. Long waits for them to answer the phones.
Way over priced for the quality of food and beverages they serve.
Beautiful views and wonderful beach
Very cool place. Feels like stepping back in time. Great to visit while in San Diego
We booked a ocean front facing room and had paid premium rate for it instead we were given a construction facing room with fences, wires and construction truck in front of our balcony , when complained they offered $100 ! certificate. Very poor customer service , pls avoid thus hotel esp while construction is going on.
I really love this hotel, although I've never stayed overnight. It's a beautiful old hotel with an amazing beach front location. Easily one of the most recognizable hotels in the country. The hotel itself is filled with restaurants, boutique shops, a spa, pools and rentable beach covers; not to mention being surrounded by other restaurants and shops in Coronado.
If you enjoy historic locations, this is a great place. Between Hotel dels history as a San Diego landmark, it's user in the movie Some Like It Hot, and the stories of it being haunted, you have a lot to go on.
Hotel del Coronado provides excellent service and I've had a great experience. I've been here multiple times and it's always great.
Beautiful location, not too crowded, but food and drink prices are exorbitant. 30 bucks for a boring burger on the sun deck? Come on.
This is a really nice place very pricey though bring your checkbook
Famous historic hotel in the beach. Great beach access.
This is a beautiful and historically significant hotel
ate lunch and had drinks out on the deck. the seared ahi and wild rice was excellent. the sangria was ok. For the price, beer would have been more satisfying
I mean, who wouldn't want to stay in the gorgeous hotel from Some Like It Hot? This place was an absolute joy of a stay, situated in a beautiful part of San Diego and furnished with plenty of amenities. The staff were courteous, the rooms were spacious -- just a great experience.
I stopped in the Hotel Del Coronado, outside San Diego proper a while ago and its historic look and feel instantly made it one of my favorite hotels. I loved the old decor, old school layout of the shops below first level and the old oiled dark deep wood walls. The staff was generally helpful and the I have to say the beach was wide and huge with beautiful white sand and my experience overall was absolutely lovely.
"The Del" is a fantastic resort of historic significance. The beautiful beachside campus is worth visiting whether you're hosting a business conference or simply enjoying a weekend away.
This is absolutely on the beach! It looks gorgeous and is visible from from a very distant place. There's always some food and music going on with an open barbeque. People seem to have choosing it as their wedding venue which definitely makes it a bit more unique.
Great shops! Friendly staff. No overnight stay but I would like to.
We're looking at wedding venues, and while this is currently out of our price range for a wedding, it's perfectly within our price range for a few days stay. Despite the fact I've been in castles, the white house, the Vatican, and everywhere in between, this is truly a one of a kind place and a resort that I could see myself staying at despite my dislike of beaches. The sand was the softest I've ever felt and music fit perfect with our trip. Seeing the crown room, really is something.
During low tide, head far onto the beach behind the hotel and check out the exposed sea life on the three rocks (marked by danger flags). If you look closely, those rocks are beaming with aggregate sea anemones and rock crabs (buried in the sand around the rocks).
I know the repuatation of the Del maybe more then 3 stars but I disagree with those who still call this resort 5 stars. When it was built, Service was a natural thing. These days the lack luster staff, and over priced amenities don t cut it. It s a 5 star location, 5 star history, 3 star staff.
