Even as a Coronado resident, I never grow tired of the Del. Great food, great views, and a spectacular beach.

The fact that they are charging the same prices for valet and services during construction is pitiful. We waited for half an hour in the rain to get our car valet when we could see it in the parking lot. I ended up just getting it myself and getting a refund. What a sham. We spent 350 dollars on lunch for 3 people that was premade for Thanksgiving. What a disgrace i wish i could get my money back. Also no pumpkin pie at the sheerwater on Thanksgiving... hah yeah... give me the head chef job for a few months I will turn that place around into the right direction!!!
Location is stunning. Not much here not to like. Expensive, yes but experience, service, history and location don't come cheap
Historic and great place to take visitors from out of town to get a feel for Southern California.
the best place ever for the best party ever! Gorgeous place with gorgeous views
The best Hilton we've stayed at hands-down and we've stayed at plenty. The location is what makes this one standout and the overall hospitality of the staff is something to appreciate.
Beautiful scenery, wonderful staff, a little pricey but worth it.
We were so excited about our stay at the Del. We were able to get an early check-in, which was great! Once we opened our room door we were disappointed. The hotel preaches about how clean the rooms are due to COVID but the light switches were sticky, the closet had trash in it and the bathroom, rust was dripping from the ceiling, I'm assuming from the condensation.
We understand this is a historic hotel, but the rooms should be up to par. The staff that walks past say nothing.
Justin at the hotel outside bar was very unpleasant, we only bought one drink from him then went to a restaurant/bar off the property.
I have to say the property is beautiful, the rooms not so much (at least in the victorian section)
If you plan on staying, I would ask about the construction, there was a lot while we were there, and also the restaurants that are closed.
Ice was soaking wet with standing water. Waste of time and money
Such a cool place! The beach is awesome and the shops are great.
Beautiful, sad that it was closed. But the beach was completely gorgeous!
Beautiful grounds. Many great little shops. Great bars and the beach outfront is nice.
Really nice place to walk through. Very historic. Wouldn't stay here or buy drinks. Not rich enough.
Beautiful place excellent staff grounds are outstanding. Destination a must see
Beautiful hotel and beach. The rooms could stand to be updated a bit but then of course the prices would probably go up and they re pretty reasonable now. The restaurants were good but overpriced even for a resort hotel.
Didn't care for the humidity level in the room. Sheets literally felt wet. Otherwise, beautiful grounds and a perfect location to enjoy Orange Street.
Great ambiance, food and cocktails, very good customer service, by the pool, beach or indoors.
If you want to get to into the xmas spirit and learn sone history of your city, this is the place to go to during the last month of the year. Elegance never goes out of style.
Timeless classic. Wish they brought back the piano lounge. They need to go back to their roots.
Park outside on the street for free...rather than $30. Also brought our own food and ate at the beach. Enjoyed visiting the del and looking.
Bathrooms were beautiful as well as the service. I visited most of the shops and bought ice cream to end a glorious day.
A fun place to visit during the holidays. However the crowds are always so big. Hard to find a quiet spot to enjoy s drink.
The service was great, drinks strong, and sunset beautiful
The ocean view the room the amenities are all there
Absolutely lovely, but plan 2 years for a reservation.
For a fancy, expensive resort, it didn't have a lot of amenities. Each bed had 2 pillows (not enough) and the ceiling and walls creaked a lot. And the walls are very thin. There wasn't a lot to do in the resort, so much of the time was spent wandering the island, which is nice. The beach was clean, but there wasn't much food anywhere in the resort. And what there was needed either a reservation or a long line, that wouldn't have been worth it. $30 for a burger. No, I'm good
The outdoor bar is always a pleasurable experience. The staff is always busy, but always get what we need. The view of the water makes for a relaxing experience. We had our toddler and he was entertained with all the action and the views.
"I came here for a conference and extended a bit with my family. I thoroughly enjoyed both parts of my trip. Only thing I didn t love is that they would only give me a king sized bed if I upgraded to a suite - for an extra $90 a night. That seemed like a hard upsell. But the property was outstanding. The suite was very large and comfortable, except for the bathroom which was as small as I ve ever seen in a hotel. The closet was larger than the bathroom. The meeting rooms were comfortable. We enjoyed indoor and outdoor space. Events on the lawn and beach. I also was able to get out every day and walk a few miles along the water - just a bit of heaven! There is an inland harbor with Mountain Views and sailboats, or the ocean with craving waves, beautiful beach and more mountains! The food was pricey but not surprising. There are plenty of great restaurants right off property that are much less. But when you want to relax by the ocean it costs more - I get it. The beach is so accessible that it was well worth the price of the hotel. I would stay again."
Mediocre hotel for the price. Relatively dated and maintenance is questionable given the price. If we did it again I d find better accommodations for the price paid but 4 Star hotel is laughable.
Absolutely fantastic!! Great room, great food, wonderful beach, great all around service!
Gorgeous historic property! Had a wonderful time, fantastic experience
Food still very good. Surroundings a little shabby and tired.
Fun to wander through but wouldn't want to stay there. Way too crowded because people, like us, wander through.
Fantastic Pina coladas at the beach bar with an amazing view
We arrived 30 min before sunset and the kitchen was already closed and they had already made last call for drinks. You how what they say about first impressions... so get the early, if you want to enjoy food or drinks, but I'll never be back.
It's beautiful. Can't beat the views and the location.
Was visiting with an overnight guest and spent time in the beach. Beautiful hotel and great valet service.
We didn't stay there but went inside to watch the up side down Christmas tree they had there. You can go a bit inside to check the rooms surrounding a garden. Hotel was nicely decorated with a lot of lighting for the holidays.
Had a great time walking around the Hotel visiting the shops having a drink, coffee and dessert.
Super clean facility and amazingly friendly staff!!
The rooms were so nice and had plenty of space.
Look forward to staying here in the future!
Too crowded to enjoy. Feels like a mall not a hotel. Really doesn't deserve 3 stars. Perhaps on a slow day one could enjoy the ambience. But it is do crowded you spend your time avoiding running into people.
Great restaurants to select from inside the hotel. Fast and friendly staff. Great atmosphere!
Ate at the Outside Restaurant, very Romantic and BEAUTIFUL view!
Such a great hotel! Perfect for a long stay or even a weekend getaway. You can walk to many restaurants from the hotel and the ocean is beautiful! I have been many times and I can t wait to go back soon!
Nice shops. A lot of variety of curios and food choices.
Beautiful hotel in an incredible location. Room was pretty nice. Unfortunately our room was next to some construction activity so it was quite noisy during the day. Pillows were lousy and wifi was useless. This place is really all about the location.
Great rooms, awesome beach access, expensive if you stay at the resort. Definitely leave the resort for meals.
Great staff, wonderful pool area, everything was amazing.
Checked in earlier today. Lobby beautiful but rooms very basic and boring. No tissues, two water bottles, sofabed broken. Supposed to fit four persons but think this is a bit cramped (we are three adults and a child)
Asked front desk to swap out sofabed or bring two cots at six pm. Still nothing after two calls - 1130pm.
Certainly not worth the price.
One of the best and historic landmarks in San Diego County. Top Notch Hotel.
Lots of fun! The food and drinks are overpriced though...
Wonderful location beautiful sands..food..and lovely grounds.
Excellent beach. Historic location and building. Cost benefit? You decide
This is my favorite hotel of all time, and my third time here. The historic hotel does not disappoint, and the staff is courteous, friendly, and happy to help. The city of Coronado is great as a whole, but if you visit, make it the Hotel Del and you won't be disappointed.
Loved walking around this hotel! The gelato was also so good!
Terrible valet. Backed up around the block.. waiting in the rain for 45 min. New management needed.
Stayed here for 2 nights with my family. It was a great time. We stayed in the Victorian building on the 3rd floor. We had Sunday brunch and it was awesome. We also had pizza at Eno and it was great. Especially the Animale Pizza. The pools were fun but the adults only pool was nicer. Also walked into town a bit for great food. Short 5 minute walk from the hotel. Overall great experience.
I had my birthday this month and i stayed at the Del Coronado for 3 day , it was amazing the best hotel i ever stayed . Thank you so much , you guys are the best.
This is a beautiful historical hotel. We enjoyed our time here. The location was excellent and right on the beach. Having been to Coronado several times, I still prefer staying at the Marriott over in the bay. It really just depends what type of experience you are looking to have. Either way you win!
The hotel was wondet ffg ul and full if rich history!!
Historic and beautiful hotel on a large soft sand beach with fantastic ocean views.
Pricey, very nice. Good selection of household items.
I like that they have some limited areas available for public viewing
From the Victorian architecture to the helpfully staff this hotel is truly a class act!! Built in 1888 this hotel has amazing history. From Marilyn monroe and the filming of some like it hot with jack lemmon to the Kate Morgan the lady in black that still roams the halls. Definitely a must see...
Beautiful location. This location is a must see. The restaurants are awesome, the views are to die for, and the location is dope. Parking is way over priced but that's San Diego for you..
The reception was incredible. Service was top notch and unbeatable. Hotel del Coronado knows true hospitality and can definitely provide you some of the best guest services San Diego has to offer.
Didn't stay at Hotel. Just want to sightsee. People very friendly. If you go take the old time elevator. With the older gentleman, that runs it.
Best hotel yet! Went here with my mom last weekend to enjoy San Diego and we didn t waste a single penny! This hotel is amazing and there is so much to explore! Only downside was that my friend was stung by a stingray in the water! Be careful!
Went there for Fourth of July
Soo cool. A must see. Expensive to stay, but you can just walk around.
Stopped in for appetizers and drinks near the pool. Nice atmosphere on a sunny day with plenty of people watching. Nice time but not cheap.
Amazing hotel. It has access to the beach which is stunning. Great location with a varied history. Expensive but classy and well worth the stay even if you only stay one night. if you can t stay then just drop in for a drink at the bar and soak up the atmosphere. We were at a conference in San Diego and took the city bus tour. We got off at a stop near the hotel and had a look around. We so loved the atmosphere we had lunch overlooking the ocean. Service was first class (save that we were persuaded to have a dessert we really should not have ordered [delicious!]). Food was exceptional and I would not hesitate to recommend this fabulous hotel. Recommended.
Employees were extremely nice and helpful. Interior and grounds were beautiful. I love the old style plantation feel. Parking was extremely expensive for just a couple of hours.
Wonderful old historic building. Great people watching, busy area, kids, families, grandparents, bikes, walking along the boardwalk. Beautiful beach. Weather outstanding. Staff gracious.
Didn't stay at the hotel, just walked around it and the shops inside of it. We also went to the beach. It's a beautiful place. Historic and iconic. An absolute must see for those visiting San Diego!
We just went here for happy hour. It's gorgeous. And the guac was amazing. Abs the staff was really helpful
Always love going here. I had a wedge salad at the outdoor resturante and it was expensive and just alright...
otel del Coronado, Curio Collection by Hilton is an iconic destination on the edge of the Pacific, just minutes from downtown San Diego. Its Coronado Island setting captures the relaxed beauty and seaside charms of the quintessential Southern California lifestyle.
Fulfilling dreams of California surf, sand and sun for over a century, the iconic Hotel del Coronado is an adventurous world all its own, where beach-lovers from near and far write their stories on sands that sparkle like gold.
Property was beautiful and well kept with access to beach and shopping. The staff was helpful, friendly but the room had a less than desirable view of the service entrance with truck traffic and loud noises during the day. I will request an upgrade or room with views of the bay if I have an opportunity for another visit.
Beautiful hotel. Great view out to the water. Everything is walking distance.
Seriously the coolest hotel I've ever been to. It's like Disneyland!
Beautiful hotel and grounds. A must for when in San Diego area.
The shops there are great to walk around. It is so picturesque
Dinner was terrific but they sure don't know how handle the cars. Be prepared to stand around forever and pay an obscene about to park.
Home-y, wooden foyer, very welcoming and a testament to how much this hotel has stood the test of time.
Gorgeous, unique, inimaginable, original, actual and traditional at a time. Most beautiful blessings!
The hotel and it's grounds are incredible. Historic, lush and beautiful. We were at the hotel for their world famous Sunday brunch. The food was endless, the service was perfect and did I mention how much food their was?
