Horseshoe Bay Resort Marriott Review

I went for a tennis lesson and the coaches were very nice and very good there was no confusion about how to get to the courts.

Yacht Club restaurant is horrible. Had to wait an hour even though the place was empty when we arrived and had reservations. Apparently that's the type of service to expect in Texas. Food was mediocre at best and overpriced. Staff was rude. Won't be staying there again.

We had an amazing time over Labor Day Weekend. The food, amenities and service are World Class. Have the buffet at Lantana and try out the morning tennis clinic. And clay courts!!! We took 5 kids from college to preschool... they all had a great time!

Great staff and a wonderful location! There were several weddings and company events going on simultaneously and everything was seamless

The room was nice. We stayed here after attending a wedding close by. It has a cozy feel where we were on the property. The parking and the bathtub drain plug were the 2 items which kept it from being 5 stars. There were not enough parking spots near our room so we had to park in another area of the campus and walk to our room. The drain plug wouldn't hold water so we were only able to shower.

Overall the experience was good. If tennis or golf is a desire it's worth checking out.

Top notch. I stayed in the condo not the tower. Had room service bring breakfast. It was good. The bed was not too soft or firm. The tub was large but used the shower. The kitchen was stocked with pots and pans. It was a favorable stay.

I loved my visit! Great food. Great drinks. A wonderful selection of accommodations. My fisrt Mary Kay seminar was a blast!

The resort is very peaceful. Of course if you are in your room between 9am -5pm you will hear them drilling and banging as they do their renovations.
Ordered room service and it was delivered in a bag in plastic to go containers. I expected more from a resort of this caliber.

I m giving this place a five star review. My first ever five star rating. I m someone who reads reviews both good and bad and I was a little apprehensive after reading some bad reviews. I was so hopeful that my experience would be a great one since this place seemed so amazing. And.. it was. My wife and I love this place.

It s beautiful and you can tell that they are meticulous with their care of the place. It was clean and maintenanced well. The room we had was very nice and modern and overlooked the pool. I had prepared myself for a rooftop view, but thankfully that wasn t the case for us. We arrived late and check in was easy and the staff was excellent!! They arranged dinner for us on Saturday and brought our bags to our room. We woke up the next morning and went down to the pool at the yacht club. We loved the pool and the bar staff was super friendly and attentive. They had a few servers walking around. I wouldn t say pool side service was the best I had but the bar is five steps away and I have no complaints.

Dinner at the Yacht club was fantastic. Both of our meals were delicious and the service was excellent. We returned to the Lantana bar for drinks and the service there was excellent as well. I just have nothing negative to say about the trip. It was one of the best we ve had and we travel very frequently. So, as long as the service and quality stay up the the level of this trip, we ll be back many times over.

If you looking for a Texas get away then you need to come to Marble Falls and enjoy the Horseshoe Bay resort. The resort is very beautiful with a gorgeous golf course tennis courts great place to take a hike and just hang out. The staff at the hotel are ready to help you to make sure that you enjoy your stay. Rooms are gorgeous and the food is incredible.

Great hotel rooms - newly refurbished. The grounds are spacious and well kept. Breakfast was a good quality buffet.
Being spring break the pool area was really busy but there are plenty of other quiet areas around the resort to sit outside.

I recently attended a conference held here. They are in the process of renovating the guest rooms, and initially I had been given a room between two others that were actively undergoing construction. The staff was gracious and helpful in moving me to another floor, but it really should not have happened to begin with. The restaurant staff were friendly and accommodating, the food was good, and my new room was comfortable.

My sister Marina got married at Horseshoe bay! The condos were beautiful and so were the hotel rooms! The entire property was perfect- and they have exotic birds!

This is one of the greatest resorts in the country. For someone who travels weekly, I am so looking forward to my next trip. The staff is great, the location is awesome, the views are perfect. A ton of activities and things to see and do. The food is great as well. You must place "mini" golf, and please walk around as much as you can you will not be able to see it all in one visit. Access to the water is great.

Love being here. Tons of amenities and Lake LBJ is the best lake in central Texas!!!

Dawn at the bar was AMAZING! She made our experience what it was. Other staff members were a little aloof or blatantly stand-offish. If others were as attentive to details and proactive, we would have had a 5 star experience.
I hope the brand ambassador really consider how they would like guest to feel on their property and hire staff to execute that vision.

clean pleasant upscale atmosphere but a little to pricey

Beautiful hotel and amenities. Entrance and the foyer is tastefully decorated for Christmas. Wheelchair accessible room has a roll in shower and separate bath tub. This room even has an accessible balcony! The remodel is tastefully done with a gentle color pallette. Let the hotel know what your accessibility needs are ahead of arrival as they are very accommodating. Had to ask for a shower transfer bench and that created some confusion but it eventually arrived. Hotel designers need to be aware of how difficult it is to roll across carpet to get to a room that is located far from an elevator. This room is worth the added roll effort, large with a beautiful view. Property is quiet with no neighboring noise. Will definitely return and recommend this hotel to others.

I had salt lick about four years ago and it was a most amazing BBQ at ever had. However on this visit the food was not so great the ribs were tough the beans were cold and very starchy and they have changed the recipe of the barbecue sauce I think they either has mayonnaise or Dijon mustard in our now in it not so very tasty at all. We took leftovers home and anticipated take it home with leftovers for the entire time that we plan this restaurant visit and the smell and The taste was so off that we ended up throwing it in the trash I hope that you will get back to your original recipe of your barbecue sauce and tenderizing your ribs.

This resort was very nice. We had a wonderful adults only weekend (left our kids with the grandparents!) with some friends. They are definitely a kid friendly resort, but it was very nice to enjoy it just us. We will definitely be going back in the future!

The hotel has a nice ambiance and the restaurant made good food. The rooms were nice and clean. The only major negative was the poor service of the catering at the event we attended.

This place is so peaceful and relaxing. Wonderful service and amenities. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud.

Great family resort. 3 pools including one on the lake with great sand play area for young kids. Marina with boat and jetski rentals.
Dive in movies, exotic birds, and s'mores are my kids favs. Golf and drinks by the pool are mine.
Good rates if you book far ahead.

Look, I get the whole "Covid" thing, but you shouldn't make all your rooms available if you can't keep up with the demand of all the activities available. Everything was booked, restaurants, Jet skis, bikes, kayak, boats, spa, literally everything! Then they blame short staff due to Covid. No maid service, no room service, nothing. Don't book all your rooms if you're not going to have enough people available to work the activities. First time here, very disappointed. Won't be back.

Whitewater 360 bar is a wonderful place. Peter, Alicia, Autumn, and Doug are awesome. You need to make it a point to stop by.

Very relaxing, GREAT food at restaurant in hotel and their Yacht Club, children areas with exotic birds, friendly staff.

We rented a pontoon boat from the marina and it was great. The staff was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about their equipment. The boat was in great condition and worked flawlessly.

We stayed here two nights in the Palm villas with a two bedroom two bath, Between Christmas and New Year's weekend. Not very busy this time of year we had a very nice time with family of four. We also went to Longhorn Caverns 30 minutes north of here. Also went into Marble Falls to visit the parks and restaurants and shopping

Amazing, experience. Staff was slow not very helpful asked an employee where do I order a pizza was told they had no idea and employee just walked away from me .

I really enjoyed our stay at the Horseshoe Bay Resort. Beautiful facilities and great staff. Will be back.

The rooms were clean. The pools and hot tubes were warm and cool and the gardens were beautiful! We went walking around and the sight was amazing!

Nice rooms great location. Not the best food choices however. Big on their pizza.

This place isn't friendly to guest doesn't accept people who do photography also apparently it is illegal to walk around there

We had a great stay at Horseshoe Bay. My only small issues would be the lack of EV charge station(we were told they had one but it s a Tesla Station) and the on site restaurants (specifically Lantana s sub par food) (Yacht Club they lost the reservation) are not up to the standards of the rest of the resort. I would definitely recommend this resort. Loved the Wave-runners and Spa especially.

Very relaxing place, swimming in the lake is awesome. No complaints about the room, nice and comfortable. Everything is VERY pricey. Overall very nice though.

We went for the scenery. This is a beautiful place.

Pretty convenient for a quick getaway. They have great activities for kids great pools and even a beach on the lake. However I was not impressed with their food.

I went for the Balloon festival. This location is a bit difficult to find, but there was plenty of parking once we did find it. The resort had shuttles to the festival which was a big plus. Minus one star for the lack of real signage indicating the exact location of the resort.

Tired facilities, poor service. Checked in on 4th of July into one of the Paseo Apartments. Room is 80 degrees and the temperature starts climbing even after we set them temp lower. Call front desk and am told maintenance will be with me shortly. Call back 30 minutes later and am told she will call them again. Maintenance shows up and then disappears. After 30 minutes I call the front desk wondering what is going on. I've now wasted 90 minutes sitting in a sauna of a room. I call front desk and have to push them to move me. Maintenance finally comes back and tells me it is good they are moving me because it is one of the "tired air conditioners that can't handle the heat." At a Texas, summertime resort??? Get moved to another room, but discover it cannot accommodate the four people in our party. Get moved to a third room. Great. A few hours later discover some clothes are missing that must have been left in first room. Go check, but housekeeping has clearly been there. Call front desk and am told she will call and then call me back. Never calls me back. Next day my wife calls housekeeping for a separate request twice and they never show up. Wifi does not work the entire time we are there. Frustrating if it is free, downright infuriating if you are paying a high dollar "resort fee" that is supposed to provide you with wifi. Midday temperatures in replacement room get into the low 80s, but thankfully drop to a tolerable 79 by bedtime so we don't bother moving again. Go to dinner at Lantana restaurant and get put into a back room with two other tables, one of which is dirty when we arrive and remains so the entire first hour we are there. Finally gets cleaned where the method of dealing with the well soiled top linen is to just flip it over. Ewww...makes me wonder what is on the other side of our linen. Go to front desk on Wednesday morning with one last hope of tracking down the missing clothes. She tells me she will call them and then call me right back. Yep...you guessed it...never called. This is a four-diamond resort??? Pools are nice, but otherwise it is way overrpriced if this is the kind of experience you are going to get.

Stay was nice and very comfortable. Loved the service and people are so nice and kind. Loved the resort. Might visit again in summer.

Everything was closed for construction except one pool. Still had to pay full price and all the fees.

The resort is very beautiful and relaxing. Everything is charged to the room. HOWEVER, I strongly suggest checking the bill and keep track of your events. When it was time to check out, I had two additional activites added to the room. Having this resolved took many days and management did not return my call. I had to follow up with them AGAIN after being told it would not be charged until I spoke with someone. Management could use some work!

Outdated decor the furniture is in shabby condition in the restaurant especially the outdoor furniture cushions and the conference center chairs. No USB ports for charging in the rooms or charging stations. Ironically I was here for a Customer Service conference the service here in my experience has not been good in less than 24 hours I experienced 3 service situations that were subpar pertaining to the restaurant including a charge on my card that was an error that my bank had to fix. I did make the restaurant manager and hotel management aware the response was to offer me free food. I had high expectations based on the website The expectations were not met. The grounds and pool are nicely landscaped.

The resort has many beautiful sites around the grounds to view and walk and enjoy the day. We spent the day there and eat at the restaurant inside the hotel the lantana and it was my wife's birthday and the waitress prepared her a dessert that was amazing.

The service was poor at their main restaurant and management did not follow through to accommodate us.

Pretty resort style getaway in Central TX. Lots of pools, nice hill country lake views. Kid friendly and mask enforced for safety.

Phone and tv didn't work in our room. Didn't have our boat ready at our reserved time, so lost a half an hour of time we were supposed to have.
