Check-in was a little slow for a short line. View was great from the room. We didn't have time to use any of the amenities, but there are plenty. The pools looked really nice. The restaurant stayed open late for use which was awesome. Unfortunately, the buffet was mediocre at best. My wife enjoyed her pizza, though.

Not as wonderful as you would think. Rooms are nice but food at restaurants is BELOW average. Hard to get reservations and hotel not willing to help. Our meals dis not seem fresh but maybe bad night and day and next day and night. Golf is awesome. Don't go with high expectations

Great place and facilities. Might want to avoide on a busy weekend though!

Beautiful 5 star hotel golf resort.
The landscaping around the Hotel is amazing I have never seen anything quite like it.
The real grass 18 hole putt course was a blast. Rooms were very clean and well taking care of. The golf courses were in great shape beautifully laid out. We will definitely be going back!

Horseshoe Bay Resort is a beautiful getaway gem . Tasty food, great scenery, friendly people, great facilities and beautiful weather. Nature meets Beauty.

Lots of signs to wear masks inside and outdoors. Markers on floors and limit 2 per elevator. The gyms had you clean all equipment before and after. Pools by reservation only. Rooms are very nice. The grounds are amazing!

First time at Horseshoe Bay Resort. Came here to celebrate our 17th wedding anniversary and decided to upgrade our room to top floor balcony with a lake view. We had a room with a view of the rooftop of the convention center. Step outside to hear the massive AC units, see nothing but the large rooftop and lake in the far distance. Do not waste the money. We could've saved over $100 and probably had a better view with no balcony. If you do decide to upgrade, make sure you're not on this side of the tower. They don't show you this part in the online photos. Other than that, resort is ok. Food is ok but overpriced. *Covid-19 review- Definitely not enough hand sanitizer stations throughout the hotel (I'd expect to have one near elevators and not one in sight)

Great conference location, food and rooms were great, conference space and staff were excellent.

Great place to stay. Wish there was more in the actual hotel without having to take a shuttle. Lobby has a weird smell. Rooms are really nice and staff is very friendly though.

This place looks like a 5 star resort but their service is worst than services at a motel. There were numerous problems with my stay:

1) The first night I was there I noticed the room was hotter than normal so I adjusted the temperature and assumed it would just take time to cool down. The first night's sleep was uncomfortable because it was too warm. By the next day, I couldn't bare it any longer and asked them to take a look at the AC. The AC person said it would take at least 30 minutes to fix it and it was already 11 pm and I had an early morning the next day. I asked for another room for the night. The receptionist said all the rooms were booked but when I asked to speak to the manager, they magically found a room for me right away. Why did it take a manager to resolve this problem?

2) I bought my own towel, and although it was also white, it was very distinct. The cleaners accidentally took it when cleaning my room for the day, even though it was hanging on the hook, which means they shouldn't have taken it. They couldn't find the towel and didn't even offer to replace it for me. When I pushed for it to be replaced, Jimmy the manager told me to send him the information of the towel so that he could replace it but I haven't heard from him since and I have not received my replacement towel. I tried calling several times and every time they would say they will call me back but never did. They finally found my towel and shipped it back to me. HOWEVER, they caused a stain on it that makes me weary of using it again. After all I been through, they didn't even have the decency to send me a cleaned towel (see picture). When I asked for it to be replaced, they said they comped me for a nice meal already. A meal that I had to return most of my portion back to the kitchen because they served spoiled meat. They act like I can't tell the difference between spoiled meat and "umami." I guess they thought I never had a really nice steak before to tell the difference. When the chief ask if I would like a replacement, I passed on the offer because I didn't want to take my chances again with this place.

3) they didn't clean my room 2 days straight in a row. I called and asked if it can be serviced before I left the room and it wasn't clean when I got back in the afternoon. I called again and waited in the room until their staff came. They came 45 minutes later and had to direct them what to clean (to remember to empty the trash can and refill towel paper - the basics).

What kind of response from the owner is this? You might as well not respond. Did you just response to increase your response rate on Google? What did you do to earn my business again?

I had the Sweet Tea Ritual body treatment preformed by Wendy, which included a dry-rub body scrub, body mask, scalp massage, face cleansing, and Swedish massage. This is by far the best treatment to get at this spa. Wendy was absolutely wonderful. I have personally received 75-100 massages in my life, and this was probably the best one I have ever gotten. Never have I left a massage feeling so refreshed and so many knots relieved. 10/10 recommend Wendy for massages, facials & waxing services here at the Horseshoe Bay Resort Spa.

Really enjoyed my visit, great facilities and grounds.

This place has provided one of the worst experience on customer service possible on earth.

They treated me like cr@p ... they did. Ot apologize, they transformed like 8 times to room service, they couldn't accept credit cards, their system was down, I couldn't pay with cash, they could charge it to room

It has been a complete nightmare , their marketing it's great but that's it. We are staying here with my wife until Saturday and I cant wait to leave this God's forgotten place.

Ease do not come, a friend lives near the Hotel and told me it happened with him and other visitors as well.

Our room was given to someone else because we arrived for check in really late, but the young lady at reception apologized for the inconvenience & quickly upgraded us to a bigger suite for the same price. Room service was friendly & quick!

Fantastic golf courses with a great hotel grounds. Hot tub and putting course are the stand outs for the hotel grounds. The golf courses are amazing, beautiful, and challenging.

Terrific. Pleasant. Relaxing. Comfortable rooms. Plenty of entertainment or whatever you want.

Resort fees are too high in winter. Not enough to do.

The resort was beautiful but the bed wasn't the most comfortable.

Second year here for the TTCA conference. Couldn't be a better venue for this event!!! Great place. Palm Villa roms were awesome!!!

Nice place for relaxing vacation. They have their own private airport quickly accessible staff is friendly shuttle service is great lots of restaurants around

Was looking forward to a long weekend at the resort. I was told repeatedly that it was okay to leave our dogs in the villa, so I assumed a villa was a separate little cottage, but it's just like apartments so there's no way we'd feel comfortable leaving our dogs to bark at everyone going by. We shortened our stay as we were trapped in our room. The only dog friendly restaurant was the sports bar so we went there twice, that's all you can do with dogs.

What an awesome place not too far from Austin but a awesome getaway resort. Lots of things for kids and adults. Visitors should time thier visits to coincide with the balloon festival.

Room was nice, main restaurant in hotel was lacking in healthy options and cleanliness.No access to the lake besides Yacht Club that was closed until 5pm.

My family loves it here.. very family friendly and so many fun activities! The facilities and landscaping are breathtaking!

Enjoyed our stay here. Family friendly resort and staff is very professional. They offer complimentary s'mores, cookies, granola bars, and beverages at certain times. Pool is nice, room was nice, and the resort is well maintained. Would have rated 5 stars, but there was an issue when the room was booked through a third party vendor and they didn't input that we paid in advance for our reservation. At checkout they tried to charge again for our rooms. After the manager reviewed it, it was finally corrected. So be sure you review your charges and make sure they are accurate. Other than this issue, everything else was great!

Our overall experience was extremely poor from start to finish. To begin, we booked a kingsuite, however when we checked in it all the sudden became a double. Absolutely ridiculous. Even though we double checked to make sure they charged us for the room, when we checked in the reception staff was rude and said we had to pay again. When we finally get to the room (it's the wrong bed size) the bathroom door was broken as well as the blinds. The staff here is incredibly rude. Trying to get a drink at the whitewater 360 sports bar was ridiculous. 45 minutes and no drink. Parking is terrible as well. I would never stay here again.

It is a nice property. The staff is friendly. The food options are limited.

Affordable Luxury. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and well cared for. The food at Lantana was delicious. The only thing that was a bit off was that the younger staff members we're not very friendly. They were kind of dry and expressionless - specifically the hostesses at the Lantana and the male barista at the Starbucks. Other than that it was a great stay with a calming atmosphere. Beautiful and serene.

The lady who worked the front desk over night was very rude and just had an over all better than everyone attitude. The grounds keepers, engineering department and everyone else was super friendly and helped with anything we needed.

Beautiful. Paseo rooms are great. If you plan to cook be sure to bring utensils, pot holders and large bowls.

Beautiful resort. 4 golf course. Amazing mini golf with real grass. Lots of tennis courts. Lovely heated swimming pool. Good food

I'm a Realtor. Brought clients to see properties they are considering to purchase. They suggested a few cocktails to discuss our property tour. Dorothy at the Waterside Bar & Grill was dismissive and snooty. Apparently if you aren't already a property owner you aren't worthy of enjoying the premises. Clients decided they didn't want to live in a place like this.

Conference parking is atrocious...an absolute nightmare! Not even a nightmare as much as nonexistent. Do not book a large event here, and if you book a smaller event or conference, make sure it is not congruent with other events. There is a "no parking, violators fined or towed" sign every few yards. It's as if they realize they have a very bad parking deficiency, but aren't willing to do anything about it. The town is also very small and very strange. Police are everywhere as if they have a horrendous crime problem or they are trying to find a way to justify and maintain a large staffing. It's like some kind of "good ol boy" podunk club here. Not a nice place for those pesky city-dweller folk. The resort is pretty, but quaint and clueless about customer service beyond being some sort of shallow friendly.

Had a blast, just went by too fast. We'll explore Horseshoe Bay Resort for a big family event venue!

What a place. But there were no activities: it is winter!!!!

The beach part of th he resort was nice but everyday we came back to our room it would not have been cleaned. We were gone everyday from 10am to 630pm which should be plenty of time to clean the room. I don't want to have to drag my kids out of the room at 7 at night so the maid can clean it.

We brought this up with the front desk and each person would say I will clean it for you right now. It was the most infuriating response. I don't want the front desk person cleaning my room. I want the maid to clean it while we are out for 8 hours.

This also was not one night but happened through the duration of our week stay.

I would not go back and I would not recommend this resort.

Pretty much everything is great, but the food is way overpriced for its quality

Be prepared to overpay for everything! Went for a birthday getaway, $39 resort fee but most activities cost extra! Ate dinner at Lantana which supposed to be an Itailian restaurant but only had 2 pasta dishes both with meat. I just ordered a bowl of spaghetti and was charged $18! No salad or sides included. Charged another $4.00 for a side of veggies! Geeze Louise!

On the positive side, the staff was Great! And the rooms were clean and beds comfortable!

Good hotel. A bit dated feeling. A lot of amenities are closed during week it seems.

This place seems nice enough but the service so far has been terrible. Our $350 a night villa was supposed to come with parking but not 1 spot was available. We got here late (8:30) and tried ordering room service. No one would answer the phone and you couldn't even dial out from the room. Had to send my husband down to place the order. That was 45 min ago for 2 pizzas...still can't get them to answer the phone. I have 4 hungry kids and no food or service. I called the hotel front desk and got hung up on. Staying here till Sunday and so far I'm NOT impressed. Sad considering I drove all the way from Houston for a wedding at this place. I can only hope for the bride and groom that the service at the wedding isn't anything like this!!

I giving this place only 3 stars because they want you to wear a mask inside and out at all resort facilities. Other than that the place seems nice and all the employees are very nice and polite. Seems to be lot's of activities to do from golf to boating to a nice heated pool. Just wish they would get away from mask having to be worn out side. All the signs in the hotel say wear mask at all times on resort facilities. It doesn't state that if you can keep social distancing.

Always the best...... one of my favorite places in the world.........

A friend of ours , owns a house its is awesome so is the pool, the trails its well worth the very away. The sandy lake is awesome.

we were thrilled to get a one bedroom suite for $140 on hotel tonight. We were a bit disappointed to be charged an additional $32 Resort fee upon checkout. But overall, a fabulous property. Really nice pool area that the kids enjoyed

This place is incredible! The paseo apartments are quite cozy while very spacious. The facility is equipt with everything I could ask for. The staff go out of their way to help, but the best part has been the Valentine's day dinner at the yacht club, 5.1 course meal and it was absolutely amazing every single bite!

We had a family reunion at Horseshoe Bay Resort, & it was absolutely wonderful! Our accommodations at the Palm Villas were excellent. Staff was amazing. Hated to leave.

This is COVID-19 related: I did not feel safe during our stay (except for when we were in our villa, away from people). We are now in quarantine because I counted 3 PEOPLE TOTAL that were wearing masks (not including ourselves). Even though social distancing was "encouraged", NO ONE was wearing masks and that was not mentioned or encouraged on signage anywhere in the hotel, at the pool, or at any of the restaurants. I'm VERY disappointed that this wasn't supported as cases in Texas are now spiking again. Other than the staff during check in and check out, 2 waitresses and a bartender at J's, and our waiter at the Yacht Club for dinner, the staff, especially at the pool were either not wearing masks or had them pulled down. What's the point? Also, we made pool reservations, which were required due to the pandemic to help with it not being full, but upon entry we were not asked about them and there were no chairs removed to promote social distancing. We had a couple sit down 2 feet away from us with no masks. They are taking no measures (other than one small sign I saw entering the tower saying social distancing was in place) to even try and keep your patrons safe. I know we're in a tough economic situation and they really need people to come and stay at the resort since it just opened back up, but we will never return due to your negligence and will tell all of our friends and family about this. You have put us and every other family there in danger. It's very unfortunate as we really enjoyed the resort prior to this. This is a reflection or poor management and ownership and is very telling about how much they (do not) value their guests.
