This is COVID-19 related: I did not feel safe during our stay (except for when we were in our villa, away from people). We are now in quarantine because I counted 3 PEOPLE TOTAL that were wearing masks (not including ourselves). Even though social distancing was "encouraged", NO ONE was wearing masks and that was not mentioned or encouraged on signage anywhere in the hotel, at the pool, or at any of the restaurants. I'm VERY disappointed that this wasn't supported as cases in Texas are now spiking again. Other than the staff during check in and check out, 2 waitresses and a bartender at J's, and our waiter at the Yacht Club for dinner, the staff, especially at the pool were either not wearing masks or had them pulled down. What's the point? Also, we made pool reservations, which were required due to the pandemic to help with it not being full, but upon entry we were not asked about them and there were no chairs removed to promote social distancing. We had a couple sit down 2 feet away from us with no masks. They are taking no measures (other than one small sign I saw entering the tower saying social distancing was in place) to even try and keep your patrons safe. I know we're in a tough economic situation and they really need people to come and stay at the resort since it just opened back up, but we will never return due to your negligence and will tell all of our friends and family about this. You have put us and every other family there in danger. It's very unfortunate as we really enjoyed the resort prior to this. This is a reflection or poor management and ownership and is very telling about how much they (do not) value their guests.
