Holiday Inn Express Rotterdam - Central Station Review

Good hotel, too bad you can't stay a lot longer on Sundays. The staff is also friendly and the rooms look clean and tidy. The minibar is always on the pricey side but that is exactly the same elsewhere. All in all, it is definitely recommended to stay here for a night!

Stayed 5 nights. Room was nice except there no place to place your clothes except in your suitcase and on the floor. It seems all of the hotels have the same issue. The best part of the stay is the location. 15 min. walking to lots of food places and shopping and a free continental breakfast. One thing this hotel needs is a microwave for guests. Since this hotel has no restaurant it needs this when guest bring food back from the outside.

Class accommodation near the center. Value for money is top. Great breakfast buffet. Ordinary rooms in a contemporary style.

A simple but very clean hotel in a central location. Only a few minutes walk from the central station and the metro and in the middle of the large number of shops and restaurants. The rooms are practically furnished to spend a few days. Breakfast is manageable but plentiful. There is no restaurant but a bar that also offers snacks. Very friendly staff.

Good services. Room is clean and new. Reasonable price and close to Rotterdam centraal station.

Nice hotel with very clean room and extremely helpful and friendly staff.

Great hotel with nice view.
Only downside was the egg at breakfast and orangejuice. Never had an egg that tasted like rubber before, nor orangejuice tasting like orange tea. (Tip to hotel: put the eggs in cold water after boiling)

The hotel is up to the rest of the chain. The cleanliness and treatment of the excellent staff. The breakfast is fine but without more.

The reservation was devastated by the hotel. Even an apology was too much to ask. Untrained staff, talk about the hotel manager.

Excellent hotel! Very helpful staff, beautiful, well-designed and very clean room, delicious breakfast. Not the least expensive, but great value. Location was ideal, a short walk from Central Station.

Lovely hotel. The rooms were a good size and really clean. Location was really good for restaurants and close to the central station. Had a great stay here and would definitely recommend. We kept our luggage here on day of arrival and departure too which made things really easy!

Pleasant stay, very central, clean. Breakfast buffet offered everything you needed basically without specials. Room big enough. Double bed could be something bigger.

We hadden eerst 1 kamer met 1 twee persoonsbed. Deze was heel klein. Daarna een kamer met 2 losse bedden dit was beter.
Oplossing voor ontbijt ivm corona is goeie oplossing.

Nice hotel in a good location in the center of Rotterdam. Room was not too big but everything was over and over.

Not bad place to stay for 2 nights, not more. Small double bed. Location in the centre but noisy due to big road and crossings, trams below. Underground parking is included into price good thing if you travel with a car. Breakfast is very simple, no big choice.

It is the best Holiday Inn Express that I have stayed in. The rooms are larger that others I have seen. The bathroom is very well laid out. Staff very friendly. Location wise very close to Rotterdam Central station and close to the metro.

Absolutely fantastic staff! Great location. Perfect for a good walk to restaurants or the market. Rooms are workable (tad bit small) but CLEAN!
Ya they could ve had better world news channels for my old soul but for a three star hotel, it s an absolute steel! Did I mention the staff is absolutely great..

Great people, warm and friendly. Hotel lounge area was nice and easy to do work. Room, old, outdated and small. But it served its purpose :). Bring your own soap...very purfumy liquid.

The staff are all very nice. The room is simple, modern and very clean. The same applies to the bathroom. Unfortunately, the window does not open ... The bed is very comfortable! The breakfast is delicious and adequate, only a little scrambled eggs was missing. The location is really good, once across the street and you are already at the beginning of the pedestrian area. Very good hotel for a really good price! A little note at the end: A toilet brush in the bathroom would be really great ...

Great hotel, nice location near the center, great safe parking. The hotel would only rate itself as a 2 star hotel. Clean rooms, nice beds and breakfast, nothing else wrong with that. Clean and and wonderful stay.

The hotel is in a good location. Parking is available at reasonable prices. Good Wifi coverage in the hotel. The rooms are ok and clean. The breakfast is not very pleasant. The quality of the offered ingredients is rather in the lower range. The atmosphere in the breakfast room is very exhausting due to the limited space and the high number of guests. Several times the demolition car would be parked next to us and the leftovers would be scraped into a bucket next to us on the car. Not very appetizing. The staff was friendly and professional.

We came unexpected around 1 am and got greeted very nicely by de night crew, while checking in they offerd us a drink. The room was very comfy and clean, I slept like a baby .

Hotel

On June 20, 2020 we booked a night in this hotel, the holiday inn. When booking they ask for your credit card details as insurance for your stay, but payment is done by pin at the hotel.

On arrival we were kindly welcomed and told that a new colleague had made a mistake and had already debited the room from my credit card, but that the hotel had refunded it right away, so that it turned out well and if I did so would like to be kind, pin the room now. Well, in good faith I paid the amount there by pin and went to the room ... the next morning when checking out I thought, I will check my credit card to see if it is already there (sometimes it takes a little longer with a credit card and yes ..... it was there, but .... they had not written off 1 x, but 2 x and that in 3 steps .. to be clear, the room costs 82.25 and they had 1 x 82.25, 1 x 82.24 and 1 x 0.01 cents debited from my credit card, they also thought that one cent was important, and with my pin payment I paid for 3 full rooms ... so I indicated that at the desk, after waiting far too long and in between helping other people, the answer came ... that they are going to work on it, and that it will be okay .... leave the hotel in good faith .. thinking, such an organization can be trusted ...

A few days later I saw that they have booked back indd 1 x 82.25 ... that's all, so ... call and email again, after a long wait, and many emails to which you do not receive a response, they came up with that have checked it again and that they have refunded the other debit ... aah fine, that is the 0.01 cent that was deducted separately and not the 82.24 that I still get. Emailing and calling again until I got the hotel manager on the phone named Anne-marije minholts. She has checked everything and stays with the story that I have to solve it myself with the credit card company because they have done everything to it, but yes the credit card company says, this is an authorized charge so they just have to do that .... here holiday inn has no message and wish and do not want to help me any further, these were the last be and was hung up in no time, then I emailed. Tried to explain again via email. But no more response. This means that I spend a lot of time and frustration in this, and that I hissed at my money and therefore paid for 2 rooms instead of 1! Because their unsolicited money withdraws from my credit card .... Scandalous, and basically just theft .. if I use someone else's credit card to withdraw money I will be arrested for theft, and they can do this without any interference! And you become bad, and become unprofessional!

Up to now! Money gone ..... and no more response from them.

Good hotel and reasonable priced. Near the centre of Rotterdam, which is great for shopping or going out. The rooms are spacious, tidy and clean (same goes for the shower/toilets). Breakfast buffet which offers a variety of breads, croissants, yoghurts, cereals fruits and drinks.

Good hospitality. Not so much spread for breakfast. Rooms not so spacious. One might also check for the Hilton close-by before signing up here.

Neat hotel with friendly staff. The room is efficiently furnished with good beds and it is clean. The breakfast was well taken care of. In short, a must!

Good ratio of price/quality. Everything needed on the breakfast, original bathroom and soft bed in the room were really nice. Had a great time there!

Very good hotel, well located, with a lovely view of the street. It is close to the central station, the market, shops and bars. The service was very good also. Attentive and patient staff. The breakfast has few options, but everything was very yummy. Well worth it.

Central, clean. Unfortunately no closet in the room and on request said, all rooms would be the same. Only 5 hangers on an open bar. We are here for 4 nights and definitely without storage space .... not at all.

A very nice hotel! The staff is very professional and friendly, I arrived in the middle of the night and left very early but they made my stay as relaxing and carefree as possible. For a very decent price the room was clean and comfortable with everything I could need.
It is close to the station but some extra information would be nice to find it.

Good and relatively cheap hotel with free parking and adequate breakfast. The location is top because very central. Definitely rent a bike and explore Rotterdam.
