Stayed here when we came back to Berea college for our reunion for Homecoming. Brought back memories of working there as a college student. A perfect hotel for the perfect weekend getaway! Already booked it for next year's homecoming!

The food in the restaurant is amazing! We got the wild mushroom risotto and the bass meals and they were both flavorful and filling. We also got some great raspberry sorbet for dessert. Our waitress was super sweet and did everything she could to make our meal great. We also stayed in the hotel. The room we stayed in was small, but that was known when we booked it and got a great deal at the last minute. The bed frames are very creaky and somewhat annoying, but it's an old hotel. The bed itself is comfortable and the basic amenities are good. We loved the atmosphere the most and the view of the square out the window. We really enjoyed our visit.

Andrew Jones has made Boone Tavern interesting again while maintaining its traditional southern charm and menu. Finally the Spoon Bread is delish, and he braises the Collard Greens, who does that??!! Fabulous!

Beautiful hotel. Beautiful town. Culturally diverse and everyone was incredibly kind. The room was very very nice and clean. Room service was delicious. All in all an excellent weekend. We will be going back!

Beautiful historic building in walking distance to shops and historic grounds. Great porch and grounds for pictures, lounging, conversation. Located just off campus from berea college. Rooms available for overnight stays. Great conference rooms with delicious dinner options. Coffee shop inside hotel. Restaurant with wonderful food. Also offer mystery show dinners. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable of the town.

This is a very beautiful hotel. It's old and historic with modern amenities. I didn't stay here but attended a wedding here. The wedding was gorgeous but the rest was very disappointing. The staff did not have the room ready when the wedding was supposed to start. The dinner was served luke warm at best and overall it was very unorganized. Over priced everything including what this young couple paid for this venue.

Fantastic lunch here at the picturesque Boone Tavern. The catfish platter was excellent, perfectly cooked, flakey and no grease at all. The breading was amazing. Our service was prompt and friendly, drinks stayed full and they had plenty of room to serve more patrons. I was a little surprised by the availability, so now is the time to get in before it gets back to busy.

A nice comfortable atmosphere. Friendly & personable staff. Lots of outside seating. Great food in the dining room. Sherry (or Cheri) made our "end of a long hot day" visits to the bar pleasant and refreshing.

What a great experience - like stepping back in time! Hotel staff were super polite and friendly (shout out to Andrew, Victoria, Marcos and Hunter!). This trip came with stress with regards to a sick relative, so we so appreciated having a non-sressful environment to come back to each day. Highly recommend the junior suite and will be back again!

What a great place to spend a couple of nights. We were pleased with the, the rooms, the service, but we really enjoyed talking to the staff, mostly kids from Berea College, which rums the tavern.

My husband and I visited the Inn for lunch last week followed by a trip to the log house. We have been going there for over 40 years but due to illness haven t been in about 5 years.
As for lunch it was not up to the standards we have had in the past. I ordered the fried catfish but the breading and the hush puppies was very hard. My husband had the hot brown which had so much cheese sauce and little else. We did not even half of our meal.

Thinking this was just a bad day we went shopping looking for a leather purse. When asked the clerk where they were she told us that they did not sell leather due to harming animals and it did not fit with the Beliefs of the school. If that was the case what kind of fish and meat were we eating? We left and will think twice before going again. So sorry but we do have good memories of what it was.

When planning our trip, Berea seemed like a nice place to stop for the evening. Boone Tavern came up as a possible place to stay and with prices similar to the generic chain hotels we usually choose, it seemed to good to be true. We are thrilled that we made the choice. The place is absolutely beautiful. The staff were friendly and informative. The room was spotless, and breakfast was delicious. Our only regret was that we didn't have more time to spend there. We'll correct that the next time we visit.

We just stayed there for one night but I felt the rooms were very nice. The rooms had that antique feel with the doors being the old heavy doors, but the essentials were modern like nice beds and furniture. The staff were very friendly and it did not sound like a hotel as it was quiet by the means of no slamming doors. Would suggest this place to anyone staying in or around the area, except note it is in a college town so it does get a little busy in the area, but not too bad.

Very beautiful, elegant and historic restaurant. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was delightful. My wife had homemade pimento cheese and I had a wonderful moist piece of catfish. The fluffy spoon bread was a hightlight.

However the food took a ridiculous amount of time to bring. Being "on the road" to meet others, we were eating so fast we couldn't enjoy the meal. I asked the waiter to bring the check when we got our entree...I was still waiting after I was finished eating. My wife had a half of a sandwich but we couldn't wait the time to get a box...and we skipped desert (ughh). I could understand if they were slammed, but only about 1/2 full on a Thurs lunch.

Because the food was good and the atmosphere, we will try again on the way home to see if this aberrant. If not, 4 stars should drop to 3.

Although I did not stay at the hotel I did have dinner here. It was phenomenal! I had the chicken in the nest and my GF had the salmon. Most of the food is local sourced from either the college or the surrounding area. The presentation was amazing and very well put together. Hunter was our server and he did a fantastic job. Very knowledgeable and prompt on service. He made sure our first visit was remarkable. For dessert we had the bourbon bread pudding and let me tell you, it was the best I've ever had. Everything about the restaurant was just awesome. The prices are great for a more upscale restaurant.

Where do I start? Thanksgiving meal gone wrong!!

We had reservations for 4 and were promptly seated, at a card table I might add. There were several full size adult tables that were empty but never got filled. The food was subpar and definitely not up to standards. A pressed turkey and ham buffet for $40 per person??? Never again.

I'm thankful we had great service from Andrew that somewhat made up for the disappointing meal.

This hotel was wonderful. The front desk staff and our room was exceptionally comfortable. The bed, comforter, and robes were so soft and felt luxurious. The historical connection of the college across the street was very interesting and we had a great walk thru the campus. The smell of spring was everywhere. The only reason I didn t give it a 5 was because the room was a little small and there seems to be confusion with the kitchen on when it s opened and pricing as well. The rooms have one price for food and the kitchen another. They need to just change out their menus within the room to match the kitchen.
