This place is such an amazing experience for kids! The counselors and amenities are great and no matter what activities the kids choose, they get real experiences, friends, skills, and memories. Definitely recommend!

This is our second year at camp Chatuga. My 11 and 9 year old absolutely love it and could not wait to go back this year. The staff and directors are amazing. I did a lot of research on summer camps before choosing this one and I m so glad I did.

Such a warm and welcoming place to be as both a camper and counselor. The directors are kind parental figures who take an interest in the individual, and who are also constantly seeking better ways to improve the program through camper and counselor feedback, as well as conventions and visiting other camps. While Chatuga evolved through the 16 years I attended, it remained, at its critical core, the same chatuga I knew and loved at age 6. That to me, is very special. I was pushed to be independent while being supported in a group. The range of activity choices and genres provided something every year for me as I grew older and my interests changed. I would not be the same person today if not for Chatuga, and for that I am forever grateful.

My daughter went to Camp Chatuga for the first time this summer. Her first experience away from home for more than a night or two. I was not sure what kind of reaction I was going to get from her when I finally got a letter. She was so happy! She loved it and wants to go back next summer. We will send both of our girls next year. This place is exactly what a sleep away camp should be. Wonderful staff, woodsy, rustic, beautiful setting, fun activities; all of it. We can hardly wait for next summer!!

I went to Camp Chatuga when I was younger along with my younger brother. It was one of the best experiences of my childhood. Now, I have my own child and hope one day she will be able to attend the same camp I did.

When I think of summer camp, I think of Chatuga. This place will always hold a special place in my heart (and I havent been in over 6 years). If you're debating sending your kids to this camp, stop and just send them.
