It was an older hotel but depending on the room you get, will either be disappointed or not. Our room was extremely small with a full size bed that was nearly the same size as the room. There were other rooms which are larger. Food in the dining room was very good and reasonable value.

Over priced! yes its historic place but they have renovated with cheap laminate and used large rugs to cover plywood to save money on laminate.i dont enjoy over paying for food and having to share the same air with people who are so full of themselves or their status they have to hang a cup out their rear to catch the excess

Boone Tavern has been a very special place for us ...

Boone Tavern has been a very special place for us in our relationship, so it was the first place we thought of when it came to a wedding venue. Every time we are there it's like a private little oasis, and we always end up meeting fellow travelers to share stories with or have a drink with. Because it was a second wedding for both of us, we wanted something intimate, unique, & historical, and we got just what we wanted with Boone Tavern. We were so impressed from start to finish, and our guests felt the same way! Prior to the wedding day we worked with Aaron, who was great in responding to us quickly, along with being accommodating & helpful throughout the process. When we needed special, last-minute dinner seating due to COV-19, he was great in suggesting a room that would meet our needs. I know that it helped that we were there during the week (in regards to room availability), and that we married on a Thursday, but every single person we interacted with went above & beyond to make us feel welcomed and at home. The guest rooms were spacious, clean, bright and comfortable. For our ceremony, they were great in moving furniture to give us more space. For the dinner afterwards, they were very helpful in getting things setup just as we had envisioned. The food was hot, fresh, & tasted amazing, and our waitress made sure we were never without a drink. She stealthily gave us amazing service, all while managing to not interrupt our various activities & conversations. The hotel also gave us so many places inside & out to take some beautiful photos & video! Our guests felt at home, and we all hated to leave the next day! We can't thank the staff enough for making our little wedding day so perfect!

Very charming historic hotel building on the national historic register. Built in 1909. Landscape was full of flowers and the courtyard in the rear is shaded and relaxing spot to have a coffee or ice cream. Next time will plan to stay in the hotel.

What a wonderful place to escape to. Beautiful country side helps to transition you to a simpler time. Relaxing, warm, quality, inviting. Don't miss this artistic, intellectual, friendly, fun town! Boone Tavern gives a majestic welcome with amazing food and staff. Don't miss their spoon bread. Special call out to our wonderful waitress Katie and Heather our mixologist bartender!

Very quaint hotel in the heart of arts and crafts country of Kentucky, Berea. Very good to excellent service by the staff. Comfortable accommodations in the smallish rooms of this historic hotel. Fitness center at Berea college is available to hotel guests.

A very charming, historic and unique place. The helpful friendly staff clearly takes pride in their jobs. Attention to detail and little things make you feel like a VIP. Andrew Brown at the front desk is first class. Make sure you plan dinner here. The glazed salmon is sumptuous, the wine list has something for everyone.

Very nice sit down restaurant with great meals. I ordered the "hot brown" and it was exceptional. My friends ordered the "birds nest chicken" and they loved the food. Kids also can get hamburgers or chicken strips.

Pictures and reviews can be deceptive. Upon arrival in Berea KY we immediately noticed and economically depressed area with closed and or abandoned businesses. The Inn looked like old southern charm outside, but that s where the fun ended, we checked into the lobby which was redone not necessarily to period, more like Home Depot meets the Flea Market and IKEA. We went to the second floor and the hallway was more like a rollercoaster than a floor. The room reeked of mildew, there was no fan in the bathroom which explains the paint peeling on the ceiling, couldn t open a window to air it out, that was jammed shut. The air conditioning sounded like bowling balls in an a trash can when it kicked on.. boring town with nothing happening with an overhyped inn that could use a massive renovation..or a match.

We love Berea. We usually rent an Airbnb, but this time we stayed at their local historic hotel. It's been remodeled and done very well. Our room was pretty clean aside from settled dust on the heavy drapes. We would absolutely stay again. Don't skip hiking the Pinnacles!

Great service and atmosphere. The food was delicious. Kept wanting more of the spoon bread. This is a landmark that must be visited if you're in the Berea area just to experience the history and amazing food.

Omg I didn't want to leave. The place was absolutely beautiful. Staff was very nice. I asked to see the prettiest room in the hotel and the hotel clerk said "do you really want to wake them up?" Lol! This is a must if your in the area.

Our room is excellent. We had dinner at their restaurant and it was superb. The swordfish was done perfect and seasoned perfectly. The fried chicken was what one would expect in Kentucky. Tasty and moist. Even the white meat breast was moist. Our server Sam was friendly, welcoming and very efficient.

A group of women stayed two nights. We loved the hotel and the service, but were disappointed with the dining room. The staff was friendly, but forgot several things that we asked for. The spoonbread was delicious. We had to send some items back, and for the price, the food was just ok. I hope they work on improving the menu, because people do expect a high level of excellence from such an historic landmark!

We stayed two nights in the hotel and ate breakfast both mornings. The staff were very polite and helpful, and the food was delicious! Eggs Benedict and French toast The local area is super cute and nice to walk around. The hotel is right in the middle of restaurants and stores to go in. And the hotel itself is beautiful. We will go to visit again!!

What a wonderful place to stay! The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The room was very nice with very comfortable bed. The best I've ever slept on in a hotel. I sent them an email asking the brand of bed and they gave me a fast reply! I love that it is LEED certified and the body wash and shampoo was wonderful! This was one of the cleanest hotels I've ever stayed at! I will stay there again! Great value for an exceptional hotel with lots of character!
