We went to the hotel bar/restaurant Lager Heads twice while in Virginia Beach. The food was really good, a wide variety of beer with other drinks and live entertainment the second time. It would get five stars if they didn't always seem to be understaffed. The staff that was there were friendly and affective, just overworked! It's a Saturday night on the beach and with live music; have extra people on staff.
My widowed friend came for a weekend stay and paid for an oceanfront room so that when she opened her balcony door, she would get the sight, sound, and smell of the ocean. As it turns out, the entire wall beside the balcony door is an access to the hotel air conditioning system. Not only is it excessively noisy, completely drowning out any sounds of the ocean, it sucks in the cigarette smoke from guests in surrounding rooms who are smoking on their balconies. The hotel refused her request for another room - in late October during a pandemic - and she woke up needing her inhaler. Horrible accommodations topped by extremely poor customer service. Don t waste your money. There are less costly hotels with better accommodations on the Virginia Beach oceanfront.
Good location. Do not stay on the Sun Deck floor. You will loose your balcony and people will look in your room all day.

Comfortable beds. Exceptionally bright lights in bathroom. Balconies facing the beach. Upscale, expensive breakfast option.
Had dinner at Lagerheads. We really enjoyed it. The weather was rainy so we ate inside but still could watch the ocean. The kids were happy with the kids' menu selections. Their Texas Brisket Burger was amazing!! That burger is definitely on the to do list for the next trip to VA Beach!
Great views and nice room. Room has a bit of a musty smell but overall it's a great hotel. Staff is nice and friendly. Both restaurants have good food. Would stay again.

The room was a disaster - the carpeting was all bunched up as you entered the suite and throughout into the bedroom. (like it had gotten wet and they tried to stretch it. There was mold around the a/c vent in the ceiling, dust and dirt around the baseboards, requested that they move me to another room and it was just as bad. The furniture was torn and stained, carpet was the same issue. The staff was kind, but obviously the hotel really needs an update to its suites. Also note that none of these hotels have true "QUEEN SIZE BEDS". Cancelled reservation and booked at the Courtyard Marriott.
Excellent customer service here!! The outside pool is open during the winter months and the coldest of days, and it's heated!!
Only spending one night at the hotel but everything is amazing. The staff has gone above and beyond in providing top notch customer service to me and my son with autism.. Every employee we have encountered has been extremely friendly and courteous. Thank you..
Once we arrived at the front desk for our reservation she let us know that we had to pay for parking for a $180 room. No big deal, then we found out breakfast wasn t included in our room , I did not we had to pay extra for breakfast, I thought that would be included like every other hotel does. Next thing was finding out that the ice machine and vending machine on our floor did not work, went up a floor to try those to find they were renovating and had to go back down 2 floors. Was not told that that the front desk either . Following that we found our TV was not working , went down to the desk and was told it was because of the storm when all we had was a little rain. Lastly we went to the pool deck about 8pm and saw the clear tents. Went to take a seat in them out of the rain and was told to leave because apparently they were for reservations only yet there was nothing around them that said that. Long story short we could of gotten a better experience for half the price somewhere else and don t ever plan to refer this hotel or stay here again.
The Hilton Garden Inn at the Oceanfront was clean the Housekeeper on the 11th floor name Tihesha was. Helpful professional and friendly
i did research for all the hotels and honestly from everything i read , this was one of the top spots .. excellent ratings. nope , when we arrived to our room there was pair socks under bed , toilet had to be fixed, no vending machines, out of date rooms, no extras really. for the amount u pay for this hotel , id rather had stayed in a motel 6 at least they have all been updated. the pool pics online , not what it was(way smaller) . to top it off we were going to go and get a drink spend day on beach. the bartender that worked 10/3 in the afternoon(long haired girl) was rude af. she also charged 20 bucks for a lemon water (gin tonic) , and limeade (margarita) well she forgot to add the gin and tequila.. no really it happened. but hey it had a view. will not be recommending to anyone.
They had great food, pretty expensive, the staff was very nice but at night they were pretty slow.

Very clean and organized. Employees were very pleasant and accommodating. Room was spacious and had a beautiful view of the Atlantic ocean.
Sadly, the newness that is advertised is gone. On the weekend before Memorial Day, 2017, we paid ~$1k (mandatory 3 day stay & standard 2 queen bed room) just for our room and observed:
1. Valet parking is understaffed at peak times;
2. No valet or bellboys to load luggage onto carts;
3. No bellboys to take carts to room;
4. Luggage carts are very small; 2 carts barely held 4 persons' belongings without items falling off;
5. After ordering dinner on Friday evening, in the lobby level restaurant, more than 1 hour passed before the food arrived. I timed it;
5. Room was okay; tiles in entrance and bathroom need serious cleaning and the balcony has a dirt pile in each corner;
6. Carpet is worn;
7. Ice bucket had black mold on underside of lid; the bucket was stained and cracked;
8. There were too few cups, coffee, sugar, etc. for 4;
9. Towels and toiletries were plenty for 1-2 persons; not enough for 4;
10. A request for 3 blankets was ignored. A second request resulted in 2;
11. No "Do Not Disturb" door hanger;
12. Both pools are littered with debris in the water;
13. The pool skimmers were gross; the tiles surrounding the water were gross with sunscreen/dead skin buildup and need to be scrubbed;
14. We were bothered by a lady trying to get us to go hear a condominium sales pitch 3xs. I had to ask her to quit bothering us;
15. Lobby personnel were friendly and efficient;
16. Other personnel looked frazzled and were not friendly; and
17. Low water pressure in shower.
The little things that make the difference between the number of stars in a rating are missing. I have not stayed at a Hilton in several years; we usually go to a Marriott. I'm going back to Marriott.
Rooms have great ocean views. Clean and comfortable. Great restaurants and ice cream shops in walking distance. Self park is right across the street. The staff was excellent and setup a crib for our son. Had great time here.
We're in the middle of a 4 night stay and so far, no complaints. The room is clean, staff has been friendly and the location is convenient to shops, restaurants and of course, the beach! All rooms are oceanfront.
Well 13th floor party kept me up all night . Explained that we would be leaving early 7:15 am to the desk help . To my surprise I would not be refunded for tonight . I didnt get refunded at time of departure this morning . Sure leaves a bad feeling taste in my mouth . One thing for sure if I dont get refunded for tonight . Hilton properties has seen the last of my money . One unhappy excustomer .
Every employee encountered super friendly. The hotel has great location. Oceanfront hotels get beat up by the leisure summer crowd so the rooms get nicked up and ruff around the edges. I can tell that this property is repairing and cleaning up to keep the rooms in good shape. This is a good property.
We were there Mon-Fri. Staff did bed twice which 2nd time they didnt replenish TP, towels or tissues. All of which I was handed by cleaning women when I tracked cart down. I'm sorry but isnt this a service i paid for. The icing on the cake was that on top of my incurred cost, I was charged an additional $464, to which the blonde at front desk replied, they "should clear in 3-5 business days. That was more than double of what I spent. Also, fro t desk said, I dont know where you got those charges from...seriously from You! For the price dont bother, i dont have the luxury to vacation all the time but when I do,it should be just that a Vacation. Also, avoid concierge and their free trip gimmick, it's to sell Timeshare for Diamond, all I'll say is read their reviews.

Visited lagerheads I'm the hotel and enjoyed a flight of beer and great fried pickles. Staff was courteous and professional.
My shower door hinge was covered in black mold, the housekeeping staff threw away my food in the refrigerator, the iron's nonstick coating was worn away and it scorched my sweater. When I moved to another room, the shower door wouldn't close so water spilled on the floor. I could continue, but I won't.
Words cannot express my displeasure with this hotel.

I held my wedding here this summer. It was wonderful. The entire staff was accomodating and extremely nice. I can't say enough about Lynell and her staff. They all made sure my wedding was perfect, and it was.

Located on the beach and within walking distance of everything. This hotel is super clean and super cozy. The staff is friendly and treat you like one of the family.
The beds and pillows were comfortable. The room was very clean. The bathroom was well stocked with bath accessories and towels.

The room smelled like wet carpet. The room seemed clean otherwise and the staff was great. Despite the smell, I would stay here again. The views from the balcony, beachfront were beautiful! Breakfast was also amazing!

The hotel is wonderful, however, be careful parking in the parking garage, their cameras are apparently useless during the day and people steal out of your vehicle.
Lobby, breakfast, pool, Lager Heads restaurant and amenities were amazing! Only complaint was that we had no remote for the bluray player in our room....it took two phone calls to the front desk, two additional in person requests and them a third in person request almost 12 hours hours later to physically get a remote. Which when we got it, it had water inside of it and the battery was completely dead and corroded. So we swapped the TV remote battery back and forth to use everything. Normally I wouldn't even use the bluray player or tv. But we had our 3 year old along so we needed to use them.
The rooms could use some updating, the walls in our room were marked up from impacts, and the walls had long cracks down them. Balconys are very small, you are lucky if you can have two adults comfortably stand there with the provided table and chairs. Beds were great no complaints. Rooms were clean upon arrival. All the staff members we very nice and pleasant. I would stay hear again, no questions asked.
We went there for the lunch at thr Lager Heads. It is not the seafood place just be prepared. The place is well located in Vbeach and it is ocean front too. They serve bar food and we tried two burgers and they tasted very good! Recommended!

The wedding we attended there was well handled by the hotel staff. The bar and wait staff were very professional and the facilities were very good.
Great location, good rooms, good breakfast. Breakfast is a buffet with omelets made to order, on par with a typical Embassy Suites hotel. Check in process was good. Bed mattresses are kind of lumpy, but these beach hotels are heavily abused and that's to be expected. I removed a star because we attempted to go to the Lager Heads restaurant, but the hostess Linda was so rude and condescending that we ended up leaving immediately after being seated; we would have felt bad about forking over our money after being treated like that. My wife is a server and it takes a lot for restaurant staff to upset her, so that's saying something. (note: I worked for a large hotel before, and hotel restaurant staff were considered hotel employees - so yes, a bad experience at the restaurant does reflect poorly on the hotel.)

Room and location is nice. They are not prepared for summer. Breakfast is a debacle. Half the empty tables were dirty. The food on the buffet sat empty for awhile. Valet..only if you are not in a hurry.

Great Beach Hotel. Clean, comfortable rooms tha ALL directly face the ocean with balconies. Most of the staff were attentive and accommodating. Hotel restaurant was very good (Burgers mostly) and had live music nightly. Only complaint, for a 14+ story building, 2 elevators just doesn't cut it, especially during peak times and when one often is out of service.
Very poor customer service. They called and left the message saying the room is ready and when we got to the front desk, they said it s not ready. They made it look like I m a liar. First time here but will be my last. I won t recommend this hotel to friends and families.
The Hilton is a beautiful hotel. It is right by the water and they do have two heated pools; one indoor and one outdoor. They have rocking chairs around outside which face the water which is really nice. The room we got was nice too. It's facing the ocean and has a nice balcony that I can go on and chairs. It's very spacious and my only complaint would be that the bathroom is huge but No tables so I have no where to put my stuff just on the sink counter top which usually gets wet. There are two Tvs in our room too which is nice. There's a nice mid level area with bigger chairs to relax. We came in November so it is a little chilly but not too chilly. Only other complaints would be they run outta coffee fast in the morning and breakfast is on the pricey side. All in all its a great hotel.
Room was clean and nice, thank you housekeepers! Staff are polite. A perfect place to stay for a getaway. Parking was free i think but in a different building but secure. Overall experience was awesome.
