Staff was very knowledgeable about local attractions, view was absolutely beautiful from the room, room was clean, restaurant was delicious, if i had one complaint it would be the price. I would highly recommend this place to my friends.

The room was very nice, especially the very clean bed. The front desk was helpful in showing us where to park and how to find our room. When the Polar Plunge was over, staff was waiting at the door with towels, which was extremely nice. The restaurant was delicious and service was quick. All in all a great trip and we'll definitely be back next year.

Attended a wedding and all the guests stayed at this hotel. The location was awesome, room was clean, and service was exceptional. Would recommend and would stay again when in va beach. The Lager Head restaurant downstairs was great too.

HILTON GARDEN INN IS A VERY NICE HOTEL TO STAY IN WHEN YOUR IN VIRGINIA BEACH. STAYED THERE LAST JANUARY 2016. IF YOUR IN TOWN AND STAY THERE YOU MUST TRY THE HAMBURGERS DOWN IN THE RESTAURANT. THE BEST I HAVE EVER HAD. THE SERVICE WAS GOOD BUT IT WAS OFF SEASON. I READ SOME BAD COMMENTS ABOUT STAYING THERE OVER THE SUMMER. This hotel is only 2 years old so it's very clean and new. I'd say from looking at the exteriors of all the hotels on the boardwalk this one looks the nicest. Because we booked last minute my wife and I got a room with 2 queen beds. They were very comfortable, more on the firm end.The room was very clean, no complaints there. The balcony was small but just enough room for two chairs and a table where we could enjoy the sunrise every morning and look out on the ocean. We had our own individual Keurig coffee maker with complimentary coffee, cream, and sugar. They also have a coffee bar in the middle of the lobby. The hotel was very quiet, we never heard any of the other guests around us.The staff is very helpful and courteous. The food options are fantastic, they have a craft beer & burger restaurant (Lagerheads) in the hotel. We ate there and it was delicious.They also offer a complete breakfast for $14 which has everything you want including made to order omelets and other items.It is within walking distance of several local shops and some chain stores and restaurants.Although it was too cold to swim and we wore jeans and sweatshirts on the beach, it was very clean and was not crowded at all. Lot's of folks with dogs. The parking deck is just across the street and they offer valet parking for $17 a day. If we go back to stay in the area again soon we will definitely be staying at this hotel - won't even look anywhere else.

We arrived at the Hilton Garden Inn at approximate...

We arrived at the Hilton Garden Inn at approximately 4:30PM and when we checked into our room there was a reddish soiled substance on the inside door. We immediately called the front service desk who said they would have someone right up to clean it. However after over an hour no one showed up. We had to leave and when we got back the soiled substance was still there. We called again and the front service desk said they would take care of it again, immediately but no one came again! I called the third time to the hotel manager and left a message to call us about this situation with no response. I then called again and the front desk told me at this time which was around 10:30 PM that he couldn't help us. He was the auditor and it was only he and one security guard there which was hard to believe when there was a huge cheer convention. I then called Hilton Hotel Corporate to make a complaint with a manager. The Corporate Manager called the hotel and was told the same thing but she told him to offer to switch the room which he finally did at almost midnight (past bedtime for children). I went to get the new key. The front lobby was chaotic and overcrowdedovercrowded. We moved and needed extra pillows so I advised him and he said he couldn't do anything just take the ones with us from the previous room. This was a terrible customer service and support experience! Management never called back so we called back the next day. She apologize and discounted one night. For terrible service alone Hilton should take care of the room. This hotel operated like a one star motel than the major hotel it is supposed to represent.

The staff was so friendly and helpful. When you go for breakfast you are greeted by a wonderful "good morning " (I am a very up personality person) and this is so energizing.
Hey if you go say good morning to Alex and his staff for me. The Hilton has a very comfortable heated indoor/ outdoor pool so relaxing. Enjoy a variety of burgers, appetizers, and beverages at the Lager Heads restaurant right in the Inn.
The Boardwalk is so well lit you see people, singles, couples, and families walking at night,
The beach is so well kept by The Parks and Recreation Dept of Va. Beach just another plus to our vacation.
I give it 5 stars and differently hope to return someday.

It was good. Unfortunately because of covid we spent 4 days with dirty sheets. I mean yeah I get why you dont wanna go into a room everyday but at the rate we was paying the least you could do is sweep the floor and change the sheets. Hardwood floors when staying on the beach is a disaster if you dont clean the floors.

Check in process is a nightmare during prime check...

Check in process is a nightmare during prime check in time. Very small drive by front door, only one valet, cars blocked in, traffic backed up onto street holding up traffic. Staff at desk not welcoming. Room not very clean and with COVID you would think it would be extra clean. Only 2 elevators and they barely allow enough time to enter/exit. I wouldn't return. Wish I went with my other choice - Hyatt House.

Another great stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Virginia Beach. As always staff were great, especially Kara Stevens. She is always going to extra effort to get us the best room, and always do accommodating and friendly.

The vibes in the lobby made me excited to stay her...

The vibes in the lobby made me excited to stay here. The rooms are comfortable but the carpet in ours has ripples in it. The room decor is old and doesn't match the lobby. The beach access is right outside which it's awesome. The view from our room is of the ocean - totally worth the extra spend. It's gorgeous.

Very clean and nice hotel. You can tell its new. Love the location and the closeness to the beach. The rocking chairs on the backside of the building are a nice touch. Few disadvantages: the pool was freezing cold on Memorial Day - wasn't heated until the next day (or at least didn't feel any effects from heat). No hot tub. The sheets do not fit the king size bed. Other than that a pleasant stay at the Hilton and very friendly staff.

While this was a very nice place to stay, they have a pre-pay policy which, unfortunately, made my stay very expensive since I had paid for three nights but due to a flight cancellation, was only able to stay two nights. No refund since cancellations must be made 14 days in advance. Also, when I finally checked-in, a $200 hold was put on my credit card to cover the costs of anything purchased in their over-priced basket of goodies. Buyer beware.

Poorly managed.

Poorly managed.
1. Arrived at 11:00am. Understandbly check is at 4:00 . Tried to check in early, they weren t allowing anyone to check in early. So everyone had to wait to check in at 4. Everyone showed up at 4:00 to check in. One big gathering to check in! Not a big deal but found it odd they would want everyone arriving at the same exact time to claim their room. There was thunder and lightening that day and the beach was evacuated. So everyone sat in the lobby with sandy chairs and beach equipment waiting anxiously to check in. Some had masks on, others did not. At 4:00 the rooms were magically available.
2. Elevators. No one was regulating the elevators. At one point, there was at least 14 people that piled up in the Elevator (not from the same family)
3. Towels. No bath Towels. Checked into the room they had 2 bath towels in the room. Should have known that was a warning of what was up come. Ended up getting extra towels by luck because the house cleaning lady had a full bag just sitting in the hall. The next day- no towels anywhere to be found. They said the towel truck didn t show up. At 6:00pm housekeeping showed up with 6 hand towels for us to take a shower with. Next day, still no towels!!!!! Finally, on our last day to check out, I begged for towels. The front desk happened to have a housekeeper there holding 2 bath towels-they ended up giving those to us so all 3 of us could take a shower and check out. Good grief.
4. Purell hand sanitizing station by the elevator was empty every day we were there.
This hotel was was $320 a night for nonsense.

Nice rooms, with fidge/microwave and a small balcony. Really good breakfast- they should expand the breakfast area, it was pretty crowded. Pool area is too small for the size of the hotel- there weren't enough chairs. I like that all the rooms face the ocean and we are only steps away.

The room was very large and a beautiful view. I was not pleased with the housekeeping. We had a king bedroom suite. Our top sheet on our king bed was for a queen so didn't even cover us. Our pull out bed had no sheets which we had to call for. Housekeeping didn't come to clean our room till 4:30 after we had come in from the beach and really needed a shower. I think the service should have been better considering the price of these rooms.

Nice hotel right on the beach. Stayed on the top floor, view from the balcony was fantastic. Room was clean, staff seemed very nice and helpful, we got there early and they called me when my room was ready for an early check-in. My only complaints are the room service is only available from 5-9pm, this isn't a cheap motel so it would be nice to have room service available at least from morning til 9, paying more for a place to stay, it's nice to have those amenities. Also the breakfast, which is not free, was very disappointing. At 15$ per person it was very limited, I'm sorry to say it was on par with the free breakfast at a days inn, which is ok, when it's free. Plus the glasses for juice/water were all dirty! They had tiny bits of stuff stuck all over like they didn't come clean in a dishwasher. Would stay here again but definitely skip the breakfast and eat somewhere else.

I love the Hilton Garden Inn at the Virginia Beach...

I love the Hilton Garden Inn at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront - 34th and Atlantic. Every time I stay here, the entire staff of the hotel and LagerHeads bar and restaurant staff are so friendly and helpful. Everyone is working hard to make it a positive and enjoyable vacation experience. Thanks very much everyone at HGI Va Beach and thank you, Paige, at the front desk.

Lynell and Katelyn were both great in helping to make the wedding of my dreams come true. I spent a while looking for the perfect, budget friendly venue and this was IT!!! They were extremely responsive to all questions,never got mad about last minute changes that came up,and were easy to work with. The rest of the staff were all extremely polite as well and did a very good job with everything. I highly recommend them for any event!

Stayed here as a Hilton Honors Diamond Member. Night manager rude at check in. I had requested connecting rooms on the reservation, Called ahead and was assured it should not be a problem. Get there, no connecting rooms. I was told that since i came in so late (8pm), they could not honor my request as they cannot hold rooms for someone that is not there and may not be showing up. That this was hotel policy so I was out of luck. That is a great policy, but it would seem to be more fair if the room was not non refundable and they had not taken a deposit payment from me 3 days earlier. So they take my money, but will not honor my room request because I may not show up. Seems to me my money had already arrived so they should have saved the room for me. Beach was fantastic, breakfast was good quality, but the wait is crazy long. The way this works is you get it in line for a table, (you plan ahead since you know there is a wait). You then sit down and while you are waiting to get served and have your orders made, they proceed to take and make orders for all the people walking up to get a table that do not want to wait. The first day we received the food before the drinks, by the last day we waited almost an hour for the food and the order was messed up. It is a hilton perk to get free breakfast, if you paying for breakfast you may want to head across the street to the cafe. I was in room 1008 and the patio door did not work correctly. The restaurant that is open after breakfast is very good, good service and food. Property is not as clean or as well taken care of as other Hilton Gardens I have stayed in. Honestly the whole experience has my rethinking where we stay when traveling on business. I average over 100 nights a year and have had a run of subpar experiences with Hilton, with this one being the icing on the cake. For what you pay you may want to try a different property. Love Virginia Beach, will be going back.

Very nice - at least off season. All the rooms are ocean front, the 2 room suite we had was large, comfortable, well appointed and clean. Clean is important. The walk in shower is a big plus over the usual bathtub (does ANYONE actually take a bath in a hotel/motel?) shower deal common at most US hotels (and almost unknown in Europe.)

Dining nearby, reasonable parking. Great location. Friendly and very helpful staff. We loved it.

Free wifi that you can't seem to connect too, a pool that's closed (sorry for the inconvenience) and a balcony level that closes at 9pm. Great location with a great view, just like the twenty others along the beach.

We stayed one night right before July 4th holiday ...

We stayed one night right before July 4th holiday at this Hilton Garden Inn. After we checked out I realized that i had left behind something in the hotel room. So I called the front desk and they re-directed me to room services dept. I left a voice mail and no reply after 2 days. Called them again and left a message in search of my item in Lost and Found. No reply. 3rd time I called and was put on hold for the longest time trying to talk to a manager on site.
Not the greatest experience with customer service and will not go back again.

The restaurant attached has horrible service, the area just isn't all that friendly. The girl at the front desk in the morning is phenomenal, but the night guy can't or won't help with anything and the concierge is only here to rope you into high pressure timeshare sales. I'm not a fan.

Lager Head bar and grill in the Hilton. Terrible experience. Inexperienced staff had no idea what thry were doing. Took over an hour to be seated, even though it was not that busy. Many tables were empty, but still had over an hour wait. Nobody to take our order for 15 minutes after we were seated...had to stop someone and ask if anhone was taking orders. Food took another hour to come out...for burgers and came out wrong. No appology. When they brought the correct one (20 min later), the fries were cold. Burgets were excellant, but the worst service I ever experienced. Will not return.
