Classic large Hilton, central location with large rooms, decent pool, great breakfast and exceptionally friendly staff. Good for business and tourists.

There are no ablutions by the pool to change, had to go into the hotel by the restaurant and then walk though in my bathing suit. The restaurant here also charges too much for the quality received

The hotel is a bit old but still in a good condition in general. However, the room we were staying is a bit dimmed and the amenity could have been better for such pricetag.

When I booked the hotel as a frequent sleeper in that hotel chain, I was curious to see what it would look like in reality due to the different opinions.

Location: The hotel itself is located in a business district with all kinds of office buildings in the vicinity. The Sandton Gautrain station is about a 10-minute walk from the hotel and can only be reached if you are traveling with little luggage, otherwise you should take a taxi, the price is around 20-30 Rand. The hotel offers a half-hourly shuttle service to Nelson Mandela Square from morning until late at night. The Gautrain station is also served on the outward journey. The timetable is attached.

Reception: I am received in the most friendly manner by the employee and I was given the most important facts about the hotel. As a Gold Member, I was upgraded to a preferred deluxe room.

Hotel: The hotel is a perfect fusion of tradition and modernity. The facility is very well maintained and very attractive. There is a large pool with a deck and pool bar. The hotel is mostly occupied by business people.

Rooms: The deluxe room has a very attractive and appropriate size and is furnished in a contemporary way. The bathroom is a bit older, but still very good.

Restaurant: I only used the restaurant for breakfast, as I was out and about for the rest of the day and accordingly ate out. The breakfast is unique and really phenomenal. I already had a similar structure at the Hilton Durban. There is everything your heart desires. Unfortunately at peak times the places are quickly taken and you have to wait for a free place. Nonetheless, all employees are always friendly and take care of the guests without being intrusive.

Overall picture: I am pleasantly surprised by the establishment of the Hilton Sandton, currently the only Hilton hotel in town. The hotel is quite central to get to many destinations in the city very quickly and easily. The shuttle service to NM Square works great, even in the morning when you have to go to the train station. All employees are always committed and friendly at the same time. I look forward to my next stay at the Hilton Sandton. Thank you!

A good hotel, in a good area, where they try their best to make us feel at home. What does not always work in Johannesburg ...

Well organised hotel with regards to coach pick up to OR Tambo airport. Complimentary tea, coffee and water. Light lunch available.

Interesting hotel. Good decoration inside, the pool area is very nice, customer service is also quick and efficient. Nice rooms. You can park inside the building. The only thing that was not so good was the food. The rump and chips were not acceptable for a 5 star place. Dont forget to check livinginsatv on youtube for more info.

Great getaway for a few nights .free shuttle service hourly to Sandton City made shopping very convenient . Thumbs up!

Great Hilton, extremely friendly and attentive staff. Breakfast was good with a wide selection of options, including protein focused foods, juice bar and Asian options. The gym provides a usual array of equipment and the pool is on site with sun chairs.

Service is top notch! Pleasantly surprised by the pool area...ambiance is very relaxing and you could forget you were in the middle of busy Sancton city

This is the best Hilton l have ever stayed. I live in USA and was so nervous about the South African Hilton Sandton. Reception, Hospitality, Room set up, Staff professionalism, my goodness, are all five stars. . Dining here is heaven on earth. I will stay again and again

Go there and see for your self. However I was treated like a king.

The room was clean and comfortable with enough space. The breakfast buffet was also delicious. Sandton also seemed to be considerably insecure, and the room had a notice to refrain from going out of the hotel. I didn't use it, but there was a free shuttle to Nelson Mandela Square. (July 2019)

With the number of hotels located in Sandton, this is definitely one I would book at again. All necessary facilities are located in the hotel with a great compliment of staff service as well its location being close to the GauTrain. I would highly recommend this hotel to any people travelling to Johannesburg.

It's a good hotel. BUT! The parking pay station doesn't take cards or high notes. Your staff never have change. What a non functioning system!

The hotel is okay. The rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious. The water runs well in the shower however the food is lackluster. Breakfast was great though. I would not go back again... slightly outdated for my young self

Wonderful lunch on the lower area of the Pool Deck. Hidden gem you'd hardly expect to find in the centre of Sandton!

Just a few minutes walk from Sandton train station. Very nice view to the garden and the city, early sunrise followed.Dinner in the lounge only from 18-20 o'clock, then cleared away. The hotel has all the amenities at its disposal.

Hilton Sandton hotel is a brilliant place to relax. All people who work there are so friendly and helpful when you something. I feel like am at home. Very soon i will visit again.Thanks.
